Well, actually, my last RP (the one before my current one, actually) fizzled out before it got to an IC. >_>;; Nothing can be done then but shelve the concept for a better time, which is what I have done.

Oh, get over yourself. You had one failed RP concept and suddenly you're acting like the world is out to get you. Wanna see my history?
Failed.
Failed.
Failed.
Failed.
Died after 3 pages.
Failed.
Failed.
Failed.
I'm 1 for 8. And the 1 died 3 pages in. But you don't see me throwing a "I'm never trying again" pity-party for myself. You failed. So what. You keep trying until it works.

What's the plot? That's nothing there other than "incredibly skilled soldiers do soldiery things". What do they get out of it? What major events shaped the world? Is it open world or strict storyline? What is the start of the story? A few major questions should be answered in any op.
What: What is the goal of the primary group of characters?
Where: Where does it take place? One city, the whole world? A single place at a time or wherever?
Why: Why do the characters care?
How: How does the character's potential backstory tie in? How are they expected to act?
When: Time period, for obvious reasons.
Your OP less a good few of these, so interest isn't going to come in floods, as it's so open ended it's a bit confusing on what kind of characters you even expect.

Yes the whole first paragraph of the RP that explains stolen chemical weapons from Libya being used in terror attacks around the world isn't plot information. I get it, I don't have a giant multi paragraph OP but such things aren't exactly necessary if you're operating in what is essentially our own world just a couple years in the future.

Hey random question here, I don't know if you remember, but I tried to make a Resident Evil RP about a month ago, and you asked some questions about it. If I were to try and make a newer one sometime in the future, is there anything I should work on with it? I had planned to expand it significantly if I garnered any interest but I suppose that's not really a viable way to get a RP off the ground.

That's not even enough to be a book synopsis. It doesn't explain what is to be expected in the story. Yes, i know, "stop the stolen stuff." Cool. That's not a plot. That's a plot point.

Honestly the only thing you really need to add is the survivor bit, where it's less fighting and more surviving. Other than that, post and hope.

Not sure why you're being such an ass about this. I'm glad you think it's low effort and not a "real" story, I'm not going to argue with you anymore.

World building would be a cool addition as well. The P2TM Mentors are great for teaching that as well.Dayganistan wrote:Not sure why you're being such an ass about this. I'm glad you think it's low effort and not a "real" story, I'm not going to argue with you anymore.
Its not asshole, and I'm not saying it's low effort or not a real story. I'm saying that the potential players don't know what it is with it lacking so much detail. There's nothing there to hook someone outside of skilled soldier shenanigans. That in of itself only has a very small base of people, and of those people a good portion needs to know more than that.
