So this moderator is the author of the Nancy Pelosi biography?

What a fair and balanced debate it will be, I’m sure

Wallace was actually fair and balanced, he’s part of the Fox "rebellion"

Ideally all they need to do is ask questions and keep time, given normal circumstances. Having said that they'll be charged with bias anyway for asking unfriendly questions such as 'is the pandemic a monumental fuck up not helped by having a deranged lunatic in the White House?'.

I'm not watching this debate. While it probably won't be the shitshow that was the previous debate between Trump and Biden, I despise both Pence and Harris. And they're still not allowing the Green and Libertarian candidates into the debates even though both are on the ballot in enough states to theoretically get 270 electoral votes. Besides, I already voted for Howie Hawkins yesterday and mailed my ballot in today, so there's really no point in me watching this debate.

Good for you. I'm not a fan of either but I'm watching anyway, though Harris has done some things to make me potentially warm up to her.

I'm watching it myself, it won't be as...ahem, interesting as last time or the next debates which seem like they will still be happening, but that's a plus for me and for the American people.

I mean Pence was specifically the Head of the Task Force for this pandemic, so the question 'As head of the task force, how come the president caught it?'

How does he answer that.

I think the next debates should still happen, but like...maybe virtually or with a lot more protections in place. People should continue to see Trump's idiocy in all its glory.

I predict he'll make a bolting run for the exit, though I hear the guards are quite spirited so it'll be a challenge for him to escape.

Nonsense, the American people needed to see the debate as it was. It added some much needed slapstick comedy to the otherwise gloomy horrors of our politics.

I'm glad there's at least someone else out there who found it in themselves to treat the first debate as the comedy it was.
