I have been working on the same short story for 2 years and I’m not finished, but I’m already ready to turn it into a series and I’ve even got the grand finale planned out, but for whatever reason, I can’t finish the one I’m working on now.
If it's that much of a hassle, then write that grande finale! Turn it into a series, go for the whole thing.
Author after author tell us that realising you don't have to write in chronological order is immensely liberating.
Ik but the grand finale hinges on everything that happens before and I don’t have enough of the details for what happens in between worked out. Idk how my main characters get to that point.
Maybe I can try.
