Welcome, one and all, to the eighty-fifth World Cup! Presented by Mriin and Farfadillis, in collaboration with Kelssek and Zwangzug. This is the Roster thread where you'll provide information on your team.

Roster Details

You will earn Roleplay Bonus points for submitting a roster, and a more detailed and well-presented roster can be worth more points. Typically a roster will include somewhere between 11 and 23 players (though neither of these are hard limits), a manager/head coach/other assorted staff, and a home field for where your home qualifying matches will be played.

Style Modifiers

You may provide a Style Modifier, any number between -5.00 and +5.00, with your roster that determines how defensively or aggressively your team plays. A -5.00 team is ultra-defensive, a 0.00 team is balanced, and a +5.00 team is hyper-aggressive. You may request a change in your style modifier once during the tournament by contacting the host currently handling your group. For example, if you fire your current manager and hire a more defensively-minded one, you may wish to reflect that by altering your style.

RP Permissions Box

It's highly recommended you include a permissions box that gives your groupmates guidelines for how to roleplay your matches. We've provided a sample permissions box below:

Code: Select all
My opponent, if they RP first, may do the following:
Godmod scoring events: Y/N
RP injuries to my players: Y/N
Godmod injuries to my players: Y/N
Give red cards to my players: Y/N
Godmod other events: Y/N

Other options you can consider are setting per-game maximums for injuries and cards, listing which of your players are most likely to score a goal/get injured/earn a card, or any information you think would be useful for your groupmates.

If you have any questions, reach out to the hosts and we would be glad to help. You can also check the Guide to Sports Roleplaying and see if your question is covered there.

The Fédération Donnaconien de Football/Donnaconan Football Federation/Federazione calcistica della Donnacona Presents the Donnaconien/Donnaconan/Donnaconanese squad for the 72nd Baptism of Fire/85th World Cup

QUICK INFO: Donnacona is an agglomeration of Cotdelapoms (Marianne), Hudson Islands, Auguste du Nord, Agosto del Sud and Isula Reale agreed to in the (Revolutionary calendar) year 224. Cotdelapoms has appeared in multiple World Cups including the quarterfinals of World Cup 57, and finished third in the 47th Cup of Harmony. The nation is mostly the former Cotdelapoms (about 41 million of the total 62 million), and while the decision for agglomeration was reached democratically by all parties, there is a lot of unease, especially with regards to the Hudson Islands (which is the second largest of the former nations). Hudson Islands and Cotdelapoms had always been fairly antagonistic towards one another (although it was certainly more from the Hudsonian side than the Cotdelapomais side), and there continues to be some unease about what it means to be "Donnaconan". The soft nationalism of sports is a safe release valve for a lot of those feelings, so we are hopeful that football can bring people together. In Cotdelapoms the most popular sport is ice hockey (to the degree that "The World Cup" usually means hockey, and in Hudson Islands/Auguste du Nord/Agosto del Sud, the most popular sport is basketball. Football is 2nd most popular in all, so that sort of mutual concession is a great place to start in a hope to build a national identity. The national teams have always been "Les Pommes" (The Apples), but in the spirit of bridge-building, the new football national team are "Les Bernaches" (The Geese), although expect to see plenty of Apples gear in the stands.

Donnacona is located on the Goose Coast of Rushmore and is the former Delegate to the World Assembly for Rushmore and is among the cultural centres of Rushmore, along with an extremely popular tourist destination. It's a developed nation, with an extremely limited military presence and a general disinterest in conflict, and policies that encourage immigration. Donnacona has two significant quirks- it operates under the Revolutionary calendar, which causes much confusion to visitors- it is currently the year 229. It is also culturally obsessed with apples, it's limited ventures into colonialism have uniformly been in an effort to have access to apple cultivars, and Donnacona has always treated its' colonies well. There are appellations for many types of apples in Donnacona, with rules around where and how the apples are grown. Donnacona's unique terroir leads to highly regarded produce of many sorts, but the apples dominate the culture like nothing else.

The official languages are Cotdelapomais Joual, known as Joual, which is a dialect of Azertienne (OOC: French), Agostini (OOC: Italian) and English, with many proto-Wiguese/Aboriginal languages protected, and since Donnacona has significant immigrant populations from Mytanija, Polar Islandstates, the Mytanar, and Valhallan languages are also commonly heard in urban centres.

KITS: Made by the Donnaconan sportswear manufacturer Infinite, from L-R the "First", "Change", "Goalkeeper" and "Buffalo Plaid" kits. The Buffalo Plaid kit is mostly for sale as a replica but will be worn on national holidays, should any national team football matches take place during them.

SQUAD:

Image

GOALKEEPERS:
#1 Jure Filipovic, 28, Admiral Storevik (Savojarna)
#16 Loukas Gratton, 32, Marianopolis
#23 Luigi Leone, 23, Tout-Puissant Outremont

Filipovic, a native of Cap Nordique and the Cap Nordique starting keeper for the last 7 seasons, left this offseason in a controversial fashion after the club made offers for 38 year old Qasden national team keeper Macron Abbott. This upset Filipovic, who then requested a transfer and has ended up at Savojarna's top club. Filipovic is a great shot stopper and has competent distribution skills. Filipovic's presence is commanding enough, he should get most starts. Gratton is a veteran at the defending champions, he may get a spot start here and there. Leone is there because it is tradition to carry three goalkeepers, he is not especially highly regarded and is not necessarily the "goalkeeper of the future".

LEFT BACKS:
#2 Pablo Castroneves, 32, Aissa United (Banija)
#22 Geoff Carpentier, 28 Tout-Puissant Outremont

Castroneves is the main left back, a veteran of the Banijan league and a player who is comfortable going forward but is a competent defender. Carpentier is less adroit on the attack but is always in the right position. Both players should get a decent amount of rotations, although Castroneves will likely get most of the matches in the Baptism of Fire.

CENTRE BACKS:
#4 Israel Kaur, 22, Tout-Puissant Outremont
#5 Jaxon Alarie, 23, FC Olympia Borograd (Siovanija & Teusland)
#15 Kieran Richardson, 28, Botley FC

Kaur is a walking red card with a fiery temper who is liable to cause a skirmish and shatter the "polite Donnaconan" stereotype. He is however an excellent tackler and our nation's best defender- he can keep elite goal scorers worldwide in check, so long as he doesn't get in trouble in the process. Alarie is much less passionate and is a masterful tactician whose vision of the pitch is well beyond his years. He too will always be in the right place. Richardson is not liable to get many starts, but he's a competent defender who is a better passer than the other two, but not as good overall.

RIGHT BACKS:
#3 Pascal-Karl Surprenant, 24, Tout-Puissant Outremont
#19 Ghislain Poulin-Coutu, 23, Étoile Rouge

Surprenant is a blazing fast defender who whips in excellent crosses and is liable to lead the attack frequently, operating functionally as much as a playmaker than as a defender. He is somewhat responsible in his own end and a good tackler, though he can sometimes get himself into card trouble. Poulin-Coutu is coming into his own as a right back, having come up as a defensive midfielder. He's defensively responsible and a deft short passer.

MIDFIELDERS:
#6 George t'Son d'Haxli, 26, FK Metropola Borograd (Siovanija & Teusland) (CAPTAIN)
#7 Luc Laliberté-Gauthier, 25, Marianopolis (VICE-CAPTAIN)
#8 Greyson Grégoire, 23, CSKA Quebec (Quebec)
#12 Wojciech Javjar, 25, Marianopolis
#13 Aiden Coulombe, 20, Cap Nordique
#14 Doucore Diakité, 24, Stade Richelain
#17 Vidos Juric, 22, Cap Nordique

t'Son d'Haxli is a special player in that he is Donnacona's best current player and the most famous Wiguese (Aboriginal)-Donnaconan, so he is an idol to that community. He's a box-to-box midfielder with an unlimited motor who is equally adept as a creator and as a destroyer. He will not score many goals, but he'll do just about everything else. Laliberté-Gauthier is a similar styled player- that is perhaps the protoypical Donnaconan footballer, although Laliberté is a little slower and more technical. Grégoire is a brilliant passer with tremendous football IQ, but has questionable workrate, which sometimes get him in trouble. Javjar is a phenomenal playmaker who doesn't always do the dirty work. Coulombe is a "Donnaconan midfielder", with a little more emphasis on defending. Diakité was the shock of the surprising Richelieu side that finished fourth last season, a speedster with a tremendous compete level. Vidos Juric is the child of Mytanar immigrants in Cap Nordique and is a tremendous physical presence, he may be called upon once or twice if needed.

FORWARDS:
#9 Kylian Lacroix, 21, DKI Telecom 5G
#10 Gervais Ekholm, 25, Marianopolis
#11 Lucas Kjaer, 22, FK Metropola Borograd (Siovanija & Teusland)
#18 Abdallah Lajeunesse, 26, Maritime
#20 Lasse Allinder, 27, Botley FC
#21 Anders Allinder, 27, Botley FC

Lacroix is the future crown jewel of Donnaconan football, a speedster adept with both feet who can create his own chances and finish extremely well. The sky seems to be the limit for Lacroix, and he could fetch a record sum of money in a season or two, especially with a big showing at the BoF/WC. Ekholm plays on the opposite wing and is similar to Lacroix but not quite as good- he is simply not as good of a finisher, although he can create for others a bit. Kjaer is an out-and-out striker who is an elite finisher and can defend a bit, so he's helpful on the counter-attack. Lajeunesse plays on the same side as Lacroix, so he'll see limited action, although he's a tremendous energy guy. The Allinders are twins who can always find one another- Lasse is a creator, Anders is a finisher.

MANAGER:
Alexandre Faille

An attacking midfielder on the WC57 squad, Faille is a proud and emotional man who wants his squads to play smart and fast. He will forgive mistakes of younger players and is a generally kind and understanding type. He is famously fairly political, so he may be asked to give quotes about the "Donnaconan identity question", and he'll likely try to draw some attention in order to keep it off his players.

Style Modifier: -2

Permission: Open to most anything so long as it's within the world of football/general verisimilitude. Please be kind.

The official roster of the KNFT consists of the following players for the World Cup. It is the same roster that the team used during the BOF. The team listed is their club team in the Kohnhead Futbol League (KFL) and it also has two college players.
***=Captain
Starting XI
***Forward: Aaron Korkson #91 (M) Age: 22 Team: Kohnhead City FC
The 22 year old captain played very well at the Baptism of Fire before their loss in the round of 16. He's a strong leader and is able to score goals pretty easily. He and Maltos are the stars on Kohnhead City FC and on national team. He hasn't even reached his prime yet, and when he does he will be a machine.
Forward: Erin Maltos #10 (F) Age: 22 Team: Kohnhead City FC
Maltos is the best player on the team hands down. Korkson is the better leader but there's a reason Maltos got the number 10 jersey. She at points during the BOF would really put the team on her back and she has very good footwork. Together with Maltos and Korkson up top Kohnhead should have no problems scoring.
Center Mid: Linus Rallyton #11 (M) Age: 24 Team: Philtront Pioneers
One of the surprising things that happened during the BOF was the emergence of the midfield trio of Rallyton, Cogginter, and Laker. Rallyton is the team's corner taker and the person who takes the free kicks. He plays on the center of the pitch and is able to be everyone on the pitch playing great defense and offense.
Right Mid: Ida Cogginter #41 (F) Age: 27 Team: Kohnhead City FC
Heading into the tournament many thought Audrey Henderson the young 21 year old would have this spot. Cogginter proved those doubters wrong and had a fantastic tournament. She really is a big part in the flow of the offense and has great skills as a passer. Cogginter plays second fiddle on Kohnhead City to Korkson and Maltos but she really played well in the BOF and some claim her injury was the reason Kohnhead didn't make it to the quarters.
Left Mid: Charles Laker #54 (M) Age: 19 Team: Barnley FC
Laker had some up and down games in the BOF and didn't play very well in the friendly versus Riena just before the BOF. He's quite young and has a very high upside as his talent is undeniable and he is a playmaker when he has the ball. He will be a mainstay on this team for many years and the BOF proved that.
Defensive Mid: Hannah Horsford #2 (F) Age: 29 Team: Philtront Pioneers
Horsford only got into the starting XI due to a formation change which removed Harry Richman from the striker and added her as a defensive midfielder. Overall I thought she was pretty eh and this is evidenced by the fact that the team allowed 5 goals to Maccian. She settled down against The Grearish Union though. She is the only member of the listed starters whose position is in any real doubt.
Right Back: Caroline Prius-Lenoard #76 (F) Age: 31 Team: Barnley FC
Prius-Leonard has had a poor tournament just like the entire defense with the exception of Radison. She had some okay games in the group stage but was constantly struggling in many games. She has suffered through injuries and gone through grueling rehab to get here, but her athleticism is nowhere near its peak form.
Center Back: Miranda Atkinson #51 (F) Age: 18 Barnley FC
Atkinson is the youngest member of the starting team and wasn't even a starter at the BOF until the 6th game for Kohnhead replacing Dylan Vargas. She didn't do terrible and compared to Vargas she looks amazing. Atkinson is young and her best days are ahead of her. She says she has resolved the miscommunication issues between her and Newcastle.
Center Back: Claire Corton #24 (F) Age: 25 Team: Swisston City FC
Corton had a rough start to the tournament, with some saying her and Vargas were the major problem with the team. She stepped it up a bit later in the tournament but overall had a rough BOF. We will see if she can turn it around as Vargas wants a starting spot back.
Left Back: Nicholas Radison #14 (M) Age: 23 Team: FC Kohnface City
Radison has been the best defender by far. He has the pace to run up and down the wings which is something you always look for in a wing back. Radison has consistently been the lone saving grace of the defense but he's going to need some help if they team wants any shot at qualifying.
Goal Keeper: Jackson Newcastle #1 (M) Age: 34 Team: Kohnhead City FC
Newcastle had a very good start to the tournament but seemed to tail off as the tournament progressed culminating in a 5-5 game against Maccian. He rebounded in our last game allowing two goals in two hours but the 34 year old is on his first and last World Cup and the options behind him are well not exciting.

Formation: 4-1-3-2

Coach: Christopher Kohnhead (M) Age:52 Doesn't coach a club team is fully with the National team

Bench
Forward: Griffin Phoenix-Anderson #68 (M) Age: 33 Nickelson FC
Pheonix-Anderson got some playing time early in the BOF as a substitute for Richman but with the formation change I don't expect him to get any more barring injury. He looked fine for a sub in those games.
Goalkeeper: Madison Richards #72 (F) Age: 30 Nickelson FC
Richards is the backup goalkeeper, and is 30 years old. What more can be said?
Mid: Audrey Henderson #9 (F) Age: 21 FC Kohnface City
Henderson is considered the future of the team and her best days are ahead of her. She didn't play well in the game against The Grearish Union but played decent against Maccian. If Cogginter is good to go for qualifiers she will be on the bench. If not she will be a starter.
Forward: Thomas Stratford #12 (M) Age: 19 Kohnhead City University
One of two university players Stratford hasn't seen any playing time and hopefully will not. He's a very raw player and with Richman and Pheonix-Anderson both ahead of him in pecking order plus the fact that Korkson and Maltos never sub, I don't think he gets any minutes.
Back: Callie Porsha #42 (F) Age: 18 Kohnhead City University
Porsha is now the first choice defender off the bench with Vargas having played so poorly, Porsha is ahead of her. The main benefit of her is she can play center back, full back, and wing back so if any of the four defenders go off she will come in. Vargas doesn't have that capability as he is only a center back.
Forward: Harry Richman #77 (M) Age: 31 Team: Barnley FC
Harry Richman has come in clutch for this team. He plays 65 minutes a game when he starts yet is ready to come off the bench and give this team a spark whenever necessary. That would require a formation change as Korkson and Maltos will probably never come off (crossing my fingers on injury luck).
Back: Dylan Vargas #23 (M) Age: 29 Team: Swisston City FC
Vargas what a disgrace. A starter who was so bad he was moved to the last spot on the bench and may never see playing time again for Kohnhead that's how bad he was. I don't want to talk about him.
Mid: Al Torgan #21 (M) Age: 26 Team: Northern FC
Torgan is a new addition to the squad for the World cup qualifiers as the team needed more midfielders considering four are starters. Torgan has never been that flashy of a player and his team are always in contention for relegation. He's a consistent player, who may get some playing time as a sub.
Mid: Emma Balmer #61 (F) Age: 29 Team: Northern FC
Why not go for the other star midfielder of Northern FC? Balmer is behind Torgan in terms of skill but her advantage is she is primarily a defensive midfielder which no one else besides Horsford is. The coaching staff would have to make a choice if Horsford were to go down.

Image

Info: The brains is the official nickname for Kohnhead and they are a relatively new team on the international spectrum. While the domestic league in Kohnhead has thrived for years and the top two teams Kohnhead City FC and FC Kohnface City have won all the titles except one which was one by Barnley in the inaugural season the league has talent throughout. This will be their first World Cup and optimism runs high in the team as the BOF has gone quite well for them.

First Team Player Bios:

Markos Moustakakos - A sublime shot stopper who can keep a clean sheet relatively often in the Vdaran Alpha League with Heraklion, Moustakos has disappointed internationally, with a low count of clean sheets and turning up to training drunk on one occasion. However, the 28-year-old is still the best Vdaran goalkeeper, and hence he is in the squad.

Tryfon Vlahiades - A wondrous wing back who always puts 100% effort into every match, Vlahiades has shown his greatness internationally, with his pace being used to get to wide areas further down the pitch. The 25-year-old is a skilful crosser and free-kick taker, and is usually the penalty-kick taker.

Mathaios Pardakis - The oldest player in the squad at 39, Pardakis has shown no sign of slowing down ability-wise. He is still a very effective defender despite his age, and his tackling skills are better than most players in the squad. His ability to command the dressing room is great, hence why he is the captain of the National Team.

Valentinos Giannakos - Giannakos is not the most well-known player in the squad, but he is certainly a fantastic defender. At 24, Giannakos still has plenty time left in his career to grow and develop, hence why you may hear more about him in future World Cups.

David Xeniadis - A decent defender who was the youngest player in the National Team at WC84, Xeniadis - who is now 20 - has become a starter following the retirement of another player. No longer the youngest, Xeniadis has an amazing shooting ability, and has been known to be great at volleys and headers.

Manousos Athanas - A fantastic wing back with more pace than sense, Athanas has been known to race past opposition midfielders and defenders with a smirk on his face and his few brain cells rattling about in his head. Now 25, Athanas is yet to peak, with his pace seemingly increasing each year.

Kimon Karalas - A midfield maestro who is great at crosses and corners, Karalas is a player who could impress many at this World Cup. His ability to pass the ball is one that has bamboozled many opposition players before, and the 23-year-old has been known to perform skill moves such as the rainbow flick and McGeady spin relatively often, which is odd for a central midfielder.

Vangelis Mavroglou - A central defensive midfielder, who takes the ‘defensive’ part of his position very seriously, Mavroglou has been a centrepiece in the Vdaran midfield. The 26-year-old isn’t exactly fast, but he makes up for it with his incredible bursts of adrenalin which only seem to pop up when it seems destined that the opposition are going to score.

Anargyros Stamatelis - Not much is known about this midfielder, but he is quite good. Performing decently at the last World Cup, the 25-year-old has shown critics that he is more than just an average midfielder, at least by Vdaran standards.

Chirstoforos Lazelis - A young, quick striker who can zoom past defenders faster than every other player in this squad, Lazelis rose through the Vdaran football pyramid straight from the Gamma League to the Alpha League following the 20-year-old’s incredible performances in the 4th tier.

Alexis Fotellis - Most famous for his ongoing feud which had both of his boots ending up in the face of Nate Ellis of Hapilopper, this striker is better at shooting than he is running, being more used to receiving crosses and passes while he’s inside the box. Now 36, Fotellis may not have much longer to play in the National Team, with younger players rising through the ranks.

Changes from WC84 -
Panikos Zervopoulos (aged 36) retired from the National Team following an injury he sustained while playing for RSC Rethymno. David Xeniadis, who is 16 years his junior, has stepped up to take his place following great performances during the last World Cup and Cup of Harmony.
Fanis Mustidis (aged 33) retired from the National Team due to personal reasons only disclosed with close friends. He has been replaced with Apollon Kairakos, who impressed the manager following great performances at the last Sporting World Cup.
Nestoras Galanatos (aged 18) moved up to the senior squad following Panikos Zervopoulos’ retirement from international football. He has been put in the position that David Xeniadis formerly held.

Summary
Kelssek's strengths are in the midfield, with "Galactico" Colm Ó Tuathail and "discount Galactico" Gabriel Lapierre supplying bags of skill and creative flair. Kelssek's tactical culture is fluid and direct, generally favouring technical and versatile players. Defence was a big problem the last World Cup/Cup of Harmony campaign; communication and positioning lapses between midfield and defence are a weakness that a skilled (or lucky) opponent could exploit.

Squad
Cathal Gallagher GK, FK Vlaikograd 1896 [STL], b. Tête-Jaune, Konoha (age 23) - 26 caps | An agile, technically sound shot-stopper. Could do better in commanding his area and susceptible to getting bullied at corners.

Kai Poirier GK, Treftadeth Alliance [COS], b. Burnaby, KO (age 34) - 54 caps | 3-time KFL Goalkeeper of the Year, now plying his trade in Cosumar. Strengths are his positioning and distribution.

Bernard Despatie GK, Burnaby SC, b. Mirabelle, BL (age 30) - 4 caps | Broke into the national team at the last Independents Cup.

Thamior Liadon D L/R, Burnaby SC, b. Firith Forest Elven Territory (age 120) - 66 caps, 9 goals | Marauding full-back who likes to get forward and play the overlap.

Damien Halliger D C, Holdenburg City [EUR], b. Old Taunton, Noua Cymru (age 23) - 56 caps, 3 goals | Dominant in the air and primarily plays in a stay-at-home role.

Mason Curtin D C, Kirkenes FC, b. Brampton, Noua Cymru (age 31) - 27 caps | An old-school hard-tackling centre-back, who can kind of competently play a breakout pass.

Joseline Fourtin D C, Felswyr [CMT], b. Neorvins (age 27) - 4 caps | Impressed in the Independents Cup after getting a chance following some stellar club form as the first-choice centre back for the best defensive team in the KFL. Now plying her trade in Chromatika.

Ashley Douglass D/M R, CF Outineau, b. Saint-Rémy, Beaulac (age 27) - 23 caps, 4 goals | Uses her dribbling ability to get forward and make runs into channels.

Tim Bowler D L, Bayern Phoenix [TAE], b. Newmarket, Noua Cymru (age 24) - 61 caps, 3 goals | Was caught up in a controversy when a tabloid deemed his licking the yoghurt off the foil top a disgusting habit.

Martin Green D RL, Latrobe AFC, b. Glen Waverly, Etnier (age 25) | Capable tackler and fairly quick to get upfield, has a tendency to dwell on the ball

Ruslan Demetriev [captain] M C, Workers Union [EUR], b. Glen Eira, Etnier (age 30) - 78 caps, 8 goals | Box-to-box midfielder with an ability to win the ball and keep it moving upfield. Often watched for the strange designs he gets shaved into his hair.

Colm Ó Tuathail M L, Shamrock Cathair [AUD], b. Colwyn, Noua Cymru (age 23) - 44 caps, 10 goals | Made history as Kelssek's first-ever "Galactico", allegedly the second-best left winger in the world, in a season that saw him become a regular feature of the first 11 on one of Audioslavia's top clubs. A goalscoring threat who also has the acceleration and dribbling skill to give defences the literal run-around.

Rémy Dionne M LC, South Laithland [NPH], b. Sainte-Anne-sur-Lichy, Roites (age 26) - 47 caps, 4 goals | A box-to-box dynamo who can nip the ball away from behind a player and launch the counterattack in an instant.

Adrian Tremblay-Fillon M C, 1912 Stellburg [STL], b. Saint-Richard, Beaulac (age 25) - 57 caps, 4 goals | A gangly player with high work-rate, passing and technical skills, loves to play the killer pass.

Gabriel Lapierre AM/F C, 1093 Club de Atlantea [TAE], b. Laval, Beaulac (age 23) - 70 caps, 14 goals | Exciting, creative midfielder and a potent attacking threat thanks to his ability to dribble into the channels. Taeshan's current Foreign Player of the Year and was named to the "Galacticos" shortlist as one of the world's 50-ish best players.

Mason Blueman AM C, Soldarian FC [VAL], b. Colwyn, NC (age 27) | While he doesn't stand out in any particular area he does all the basic things well and is a solid all-rounder. Kelssek has no shortage of midfield talent which might be why he'd never had a senior cap till now, but it'll be hard to keep overlooking someone who's established a squad role in one of the world's top clubs.

Matts Bogdanor M C, Marketville [EUR], b. East Fallowfield, Etnier (age 22) - 28 caps, 2 goal | No-nonsense holding midfielder who can surprise with a 30-yard banger every once in a while.

Patrice Champetier M L/R, MTK Kingsville [DAR], b. Granby-de-Bellevue (age 25) - 34 caps, 9 goals | Playmaking winger with strong technique and game sense. Can play as a deep lying or wide midfielder, has the ability to take on and get past his marker. His U$7.25 million transfer fee made him Kelssek's most expensive player.

Shaheen Taleb AM C/ST, Sleepy Hollow [TAE], b. Mineru, Konoha (age 22) - 48 caps, 26 goals | Can freeze the defence with his excellent close control.

Brayden Custworth ST, Oldem Mechanical [APX], b. Clayquot, Etnier (age 27) - 75 caps, 40 goals | Deep-lying striker who is as adept in playing in his teammates as shooting the ball. Good vision and awareness and strong technique. KFL Young Player of the Year in his debut season.

Matthew Lister ST, Easthold Royals [MRN]/Blue Strike Zoloroni [MRC], b. Vickery, Conryia (age 28) - 55 caps, 22 goals | Archetypal target-man, a prolific scorer when he's on form, but tends to be a streaky player. Is on loan in Mriin due to the Mercedini league shutting down.

Patrice Langelier ST, Latrobe AFC, b. Langlois, Beaulac (age 31) - 48 caps, 16 goals | Great at link-up play and always seems to be in the right spot to poach a goal.

Seamus Wylten ST, Clayquot City, b. Brandon, Etnier (age 28) - 8 caps, 6 goals | Doesn't do anything fancy, but he's an instinctive finisher and has a great sense of where to position himself to get chances.

Manager: Andrea Crowe | The former manager of Ritter Town in Nephara is the first foreign manager of Kelssek. Preferred formation: 4-4-2
Honours: Cup of Harmony 43 champions, 2-time Ad'ihan Challenge Trophy winners
Direct free-kicks: Gabriel Lapierre
Corners: Colm Ó Tuathail (L), Ashley Douglass (R)
Penalties: Matthew Lister, Brayden Custworth, Shaheen Taleb

Pool players - not in the World Cup finals squad
Ryan Dumont D L, Strathcona Internationals, b. Kirkenes, Noua Cymru (age 29) - 9 caps | Postionally sound, technically average, likes to take on his opponent a bit too much more than is wise.
Gabriel Farahani D R, ASC Arvika, b. Novonaya, Lupinissa (age 26) - 28 caps, 1 goal | Athletic and determined defensive full-back, but doesn't offer much going forward.
Adam Corvin M C, CF Outineau, b. Mazinaw, Conryia (age 30) - 11 caps, 2 goals | Versatile midfielder who can do a decent defensive or playmaking job as needed.
Cory Greenwood M C, Ulsa Rovers [EUR], b. Natanel, Lupinissa (age 28) - 15 caps, 1 goal | Ball-winning defensive midfielder with above-average athleticism. His game is to win the ball and pass it off to a more creative teammate.
Loïc Maçon-Petrault ST, Unioneers [EUR], b. Saint-Rémy, BL (age 22) | An elusive and quick striker and noted jazz fan. Lots of raw talent, but can be lacking in composure in front of the net.
Roman Torshen ST, Norrion Rovers [EFL], b. Mistigwyn, NC (age 20) | Bagged a lot of goals at the KFL level thanks to a poacher's instinct for where the ball's going to be, but he's also got a wicked shot from his right foot and likes to power them in. Middling movement and pace (which suits his 'second wave' SOP anyway), relies on his bag of tricks to get past defenders.
Eva Karven ST, Kirkenes FC, b. Redswyth (age 20) | Has stormed onto the scene in the KFL Championship as the leading scorer on one of the big teams in her rookie season.
Louis Kuelvic ST, Montreal Koreana [QUE], b. Mistigwyn, NC (age 28) | A powerful shot and a better first touch than most, but can be lacking in composure sometimes.

Fan culture
Kelssek's national teams are nicknamed the Voyagers in reference to the fact that major international tournaments are practically always in a different region and many time zones away (unless Kelssek is hosting it, of course).
Maybe Tomorrow is common to all national teams:
Voyagers, they keep on calling me
Down the road, that's where I'll always be
Onward Kelssek, the shout from everyone
Step by step, fighting on, till glory's won
Maybe tomorrow, our journey will be done
Until tomorrow, we'll just keep movin' on

Tune: "Maybe Tomorrow" (Littlest Hobo theme song)

Summer of 46 is sport-specific, and references the hosting of World Cup 46, the watershed in soccer actually becoming popular in Kelssek.
I got my first real football
Played it on a plastic pitch
Rubber pellets went everywhere
It was the cycle of forty-six
Oh when I look back now
We thought that it would last forever
Those were the football glory days

Tune: Summer of '69

Stadiums
Qualifying matches will rotate between three stadiums. You may choose which one if you are the first to RP the match, but go with Kirkenes as a default.

Exhibition Place, Kirkenes (cap. 38,600)
Home of Kirkenes FC and recently renovated to include roofs and a standing section of 3,200 on the southwestern corner section. Kirkenes is the largest city in Kelssek and has a 540m observation/broadcasting tower. It hosted the Cygnus Cup final not too long ago.
Kirkenes is the biggest city in Kelssek, a huge and bustling multicultural metropolis. The city's character comes through in neighbourhoods like Little Ariddia, Bathurst Gardens, and Lancaster Hill. Fashionable boutiques and other opportunities for bourgeois consumerism are located in the Rosewood area. The 540-metre Panopti Tower is an iconic landmark, the St. Jude Market is a good stop for fine foods or a quick meal, Melbourne Square and Caron Street are where to go out, and the Museum of Global Civilization is pretty cool to learn about history and cultures and stuff. The Loyalist Fort National Historic Site is where the enemies of the revolution holed themselves up. The city also has a lively microbrewery scene. See also the street map, and the TComm Subway.

Canada Stadium, Neorvins (cap. 66,300)
Located in Commonwealth Park, a recreation and sports area across the Suter river from the city centre. Home of rugby club Neorvins Armada.
Neorvins is the federal capital, a mid-sized city with a metropolitan population around two million. It hosts a large number of public institutions and museums catering to a wide range of interests; indeed it’s the more esoteric ones that are probably more worth a visit as the most famous art pieces tend to be in Outineau or Kirkenes. These include: the National Capital Exhibition, a museum of Kelssek’s social and political history, the Royal Palace Museum, which focuses on the former royalty and the Kelssek Revolution, the Parliamentary Art Gallery, the Bank of Kelssek Monetary Experience, which makes central banking as thrilling as possible, the Museum of War and Peace, housed in a decommissioned nuclear bunker, and Polar Institute, which educates visitors on life in the far north and the history of polar exploration. Other sights to see include the Parliament of Kelssek public tours, Queen’s Market and Guilds Hall, Place Paul Langlois, Shawinigan Gate, the Revolutionaries Monument, and pleasant walks can be had in Federation Park and The Domain.

Commonwealth Stadium, Vickery (cap. 41,600)
Home of the Vickery RFC rugby club. As it's not fully enclosed, consisting of two large stands on either side with much shorter ones at the ends, fans can gaze reflectively at the surrounding mountains if the match fails to entertain. As the city of Vickery has cold winters and is located at an altitude of 984m, the national team not-so-secretly hopes to gain an advantage by hosting matches against countries not known for mountains and/or snow here.
Vickery, located on a high plateau formed by the Cradle Ranges, is the provincial capital of Conryia. The glass pyramids of Legislature Square and the fountain-slash-galloping-horses-sculpture Spirit of the West are city landmarks. The Strathcona neighbourhood retains much of its artsy and countercultural charm despite being increasingly subject to gentrification.

About the Nation
Northwest Kalactin is a nation of 20 million people, the nation has many major city’s with hockey teams in them. The largest cities are Gold Coast, Coffs Harbour And Kempsey the capital and largest city in the nation is Gold Coast. The climate is hot with the summer temperatures getting up to about 110 Fahrenheit at the highest and winter temperatures go down to about 50 at the lowest. The nation plays host to many domestic sports leagues across many different sports including Hockey, Soccer, Basketball, Rugby and many more.

History of The Team
The Kalactanian National Team has been around since the 79th version of the World Cup. The team started out from quiet beginnings finishing in the quarter finals in the 66th Baptism Of Fire against Filindostan. The 80th World Cup Team was highlighted by Jared Sednah and Wendell Jakerein, who ended up making the team of the qualifiers. Sednah was the top player on the team for the Next 2 cycled as he paired up with Luke Dillan to bring the team close to qualifying. Despite the valiant efforts by Dillan and Sednah the team couldn’t end up qualifying in the 82nd and 81st cups. The FA decided not to enter the team in for the 83rd qualifiers due to corruption in the association. The team was quickly eliminated in the 84th qualifiers. The current team is highlighted by younger players that hope to bring the team to the World Cup the the following years.

Starters

Strikers:
Luke Dillan Image GCCFC, Age: 34
Dillan is a player that is that is not in his golden years of the 80th and 81st World Cup but still brings strength to the team. He brought prominence to Gold Coast Capital after moving there last year and continues to exceed expectations despite his age. He is a very flashy forward that is able to score a goal for all the fans when needed. His long Free Kicks brought attention to him in highlight clips recently and he can play on anyone.

Jimmy McCarthy Image Dalton United, Age: 24
Jimmy McCarthy was the future of Kalactanian football the second he stepped onto the Project Olimpo campus. He is a natural leader that can lift the spirits of any of his teammates and he brings great talent to the team. He is a bit weak however he makes up for it with his ability to make a move on anyone.

Will Sanders Image Murwelldobah FC, Age: 28
Will Sanders is a player that has historically played midfield however he made the switch to midfielder a few years ago. One of the best players on the team he is always focused on making his teammates better through passing. He is a very creative player that likes to express his creativity on the pitch.

Midfielders:
Jack Flemister Image Salmon Head FC, Age: 35
Just like Luke Dillan, Flemister is one of the players that had his prime during the 80th World Cup but still brings strength to the team. He is not a very flashy player, yet he is very reliable and you can count on him to make a play on anything. He is very intelligent and he always makes good passes.

Steve Gilbert Image Toureres War eagles, Age: 29
Gilbert is a player in the middle of his prime. After showing how he could turn the War Eagles from a second tier team to a team earning UICA qualification the NT picked him up. He is a very athletically talented player that can outrun almost anyone on the pitch. He does lack some skills on the first touch but his athleticism helps him excel on the field.

Frank Owens Image Coffs Harbour FC, Age: 31
Owens has been a mainstay if the starting lineup of the NT since the 80th World Cup. He may be entering his last World Cup as he is very prone to injury’s. He plays a very aggressive game and has a fiery temper, things that can get him in trouble on the field. Owens is currently the team record holder for the most Cautions in one tournament, with 7.

Backs:
Matt Hall Image Fryi Frêndê, Age: 23
Matt Hall is another wonderkid that has been around on the team during recent cycles. He recently started playing in the Farfadillian leagues where he continues to develop as a player. Hall is one of the strongest players on the team athletically being one of the fastest on the team.

Hue Grebv Image Ballina Red Devils (formerly golden hurricanes), Age: 35
Hue Grebv is one of the most famous and successful players in the history of the team being possibly the best defender in team history. He has a great leg, a ability that allows him to clear the ball with ease. He is not afraid to throw himself into situations that could give him discipline but does give players a bit of space on the ball.

Joseph Anderson Image FC Harbour City, Age: 27
A newer player just recently called up to the National Team, Anderson has exceeded expectations for the team. He recently just entered his prime and he improves very quickly. He does tack up a large number of injuries though, which is concerning for his future on the team. Anderson is a great on-ball defender and can play physically if needed.

Jack Dakota Image Alton Swifts, Age: 36
Jack Dakota is the oldest and most experienced player on the national team at 36 years old. He has been around on the team since the Baptism of Fire and is a great motivator. This will be his last cycle with the team so he hopes to make it a good one. He has let the NT build around him on defense and he is a great athlete.

Goalkeeper:
Wendell Jakerein Image Jungle Strike FC, Age: 35
Wendell is entering his last cycle with the team. He is 35 and has been playing since the Baptism of Fire. He is a strong shot stopper and made the team of the qualifiers in the 80th World Cup. He plays in Vilita in one of the strongest leagues in the world. But for this guy retirement from all play may only be 1 or 2 years away

Twicetagrian Football Team, and all you need to know about Twicetagria
What is Twicetagria?
Twicetagria is a fairly new country in Atlantian Oceania. They are the human successor of former nation Strayquestria, after Princess Celestia fucked up one of the biggest spells and plunged the nation into a wormhole.
Twicetagria is a monarch, rules by several kings and queens because apparently one wasn’t enough. The cities are still developed, albeit with a medieval atmosphere to them.
Twicetagria’s capital city is Twice Square, and its major cities include New Canterlot, Legothria and Alphaxrie.

Roster
Note: Up to the RPer to decide who is in which position.

Midfielders:
6 | Harley Chase | 19 years old | Male Starting XI
7 | Autumn Kiel | 24 years old | Female Starting XI
11 | Ciel de Castro | 21 years old | Male Starting XI
13 | June Wysber | 25 years old | Female
16 | Krios de Lune | 22 years old | Male
18 | Orporio Krystalia | 26 years old | Female

Attackers/Forwards/Wingers:
9 | Lesley Chase | 20 years old | Female Starting XI
10 | Fanny Torreira | 21 years old | Female Starting XI
17 | Yuri Hirai | 23 years old | Female Starting XI
8| Mindelver Wistersen | 21 years old | Male
14 | Khugris Imelia | 26 years old | Male
20 | Ion Xeris | 20 years old | Male

One-to-watch
Lesley Chase is on our watchlist for the AOCAF Cup 60. Of course, this is subject to change as the folks play, but Lesley, probably the nation’s most promising talent, will most probably hold the title for quite a while. Versatile and nimble with the ball, defenders(at least in Twicetagria) have a really hard time stealing the ball from her. Her quick speed and perfect control of the ball makes her a dangerous prospect.
Lesley is the brother of Harley Chase, also in the roster.
My opponent, if they RP first, may do the following:

RP permissions: Your RP permissions are mine, short of death and career-ending injuries. If I can send off your players, you can send off mine. If your players can’t be booked, neither can mine. If I can invade the Earth Kingdom, destroy the Southern Water Tribe and wipe out the Air Nomads in the name of spreading the prosperity of the Fire Nation to the entire world, so can you. Just make it funny/entertaining, if you don’t mind. ;)
Pandemic disclaimer: As I am sure most people are aware, Omerica recently has been affected by an epidemic of Maxtopian Pox. This epidemic does not and will not extend outside Omerican borders and will not impact any international football games, nor will it form the basis of any long-term roleplay arcs on my part.

However, I will not be recognising the existence of any international pandemics. This does not mean that I will not recognise the existence of disease outbreaks in other countries (largely in the interest of not being a hypocrite), but these will be construed as a series of unrelated outbreaks that do not extend beyond the borders of nations that accept their existence. As will be made evident, these outbreaks will not under any circumstances extend to or from the United Republics of Omerica and any attempt to introduce new disease outbreaks to Omerica will be immediately nullified by the Federal Secretariat of Defence’s “Instantaneous Godmode Neutralisation by Optimised Revision of Events” (I.G.N.O.R.E) system.

I apologise to anyone who has been affected in any way by the COVID-19 pandemic. I recognise that the Maxtopian Pox epidemic may be considered disrespectful, insulting or distasteful. If, for whatever reason, you do not wish to acknowledge its existence, I will respect your decision. I wish anyone currently afflicted with COVID-19 a speedy recovery and anyone struggling as a result of the pandemic the best. <3

A federation in the far north, Omerica is a cosmopolitan maritime nation, famed for its environmental beauty, thriving black markets and love of a good drink. Omerica is a federal parliamentary republic with a semi-direct democratic system of governance. An influential country in international affairs, the nation ranks as one of the most politically and socially free states in the multiverse. The nation is noted for having some of the most friendly, compassionate and brash people in the multiverse, who enjoy high rates of economic, scientific and cultural development. The nation is rated as one of the least corrupt and least authoritarian in the world, with low rates of ignorance, obesity, political apathy and preventable death.

About the Incorrigibles
Association code: OME
KPB ranking: 98th (7.81)
All-time record: 126–61–115 (41.7% win rate; 1.45 points per game)
World Cup qualification record: 79–34–70 (43.2% win rate; 1.48 points per game)
Record under George Kostas: 8–2–8 (44.4% win rate; 1.44 points per game)

Just like the history of the nation, the history of Omerican football has been rocky. The nation was one of fifty-six to début in Baptism of Fire 56, where the team made the knockout stage with an undefeated record before bowing out to Lons after extra time in the last 32. The Gryphons subsequently floundered for several cycles, finishing below expectations in tournament after tournament and struggling to find their footing. But fortunes turned around during the Campionato Esportiva in the Sarian, where Omerica unexpectedly won their group and made the quarterfinals after defeating Yttribia. Despite falling to runners-up Nephara in a close match, the tournament marked a significant turn in fortunes: a bitter (and, to Osarians, infamous) third-place finish in the World Cup 73 qualifiers, two consecutive knockout stage qualifications and Round of 16 exits and—the nation’s crowning moment of glory—an upset qualification for World Cup 74, where the team scalped Flardania and nearly advanced to the knockout phase.

However, success proved short-lived. After boycotting CE XVI in Falatulu, the Omerican Football Federation found itself mired in a corruption and betting scandal. Combined with a riotous fanbase which had caused numerous bouts of destruction, the scandal dogged the team’s World Cup 75 qualifying campaign and ultimately brought the OFF to an untimely end, ordered dissolved by the Sessions Court of Mespalia and liquidated to cover the fines issued to its executives. In the aftermath of the scandal, the republican football associations, which had predated and existed parallel to the OFF, formed the United Republican Soccer Federation to take over the OFF’s functions and opted to indefinitely pull Omerica from international competition. Half a decade later, a new national team emerged to contest the Independent Associations Championship and, after much internal debate, the World Cup.

The early years of the newly-christened Incorrigibles were troubled, with celebrated manager Ryan Pritchard unable to create a solid foundation to rebuild on. Seeing his time and margin for error dwindling, he chose to throw in the towel, though his replacement’s reign turned out horrific. With the expectations of the nation lower than ever, an uncelebrated Anne-Sophie Groothuis was tasked with steadying the ship, but went above and beyond: besting the infamous Curse of Kilkenny, winning the United Republics a first major international title and coming closer than either of her predecessors to the World Cup finals. But after an underwhelming World Cup and Cup of Harmony campaign and fearing complacency ahead of the nation’s IAC title defence campaign, Groothuis chose to cut her losses and get out while she was ahead. Little did anyone know that the Incorrigibles would put up the worst title defence campaign in the IAC’s brief history…
Staff
Manager: George Kostas (age 56; b. Falconhurst, Strathavon)
Former interim manager of the Incorrigibles after Christine Salmond’s forced resignation, Kostas comes back to the national team off a relatively successful stint at his hometown club Falcon United. True to his place a striker during his time in the Omerica shirt, Kostas is known for being a traditional, attack-oriented Omerican strategist, favouring the three-person attack which propelled Omerica up the ranks in the nation’s earliest international years. Having only been interim manager during his dismal nine World Cup qualifying games and missing the chance to record a full qualifying campaign of his own due an administrative cock-up at the United Republican Soccer Federation, George Kostas will be hungry to exceed the admittedly low expectations of the URSF and the nation at-large.

Assistant Manager: Christina Tedesco
Fitness Coach: Jean-Pierre Marchetti
Goalkeeping Coach: Stéphane Rousseau
Medical Lead: Romain Luzzatto
Physical Therapists: Mees Dreessen and Malcolm Hardwick

Players
Due to the inflated length of qualification, the Incorrigibles will deploy a 35-person rotating roster for the World Cup qualifiers, which will be pared down to 23 players to contest the World Cup finals or Cup of Harmony. As always, the number 12 is reserved to supporters and will be not worn by any player during the campaign.

Kits (expertly crafted by ediraf)
Due to the clerical error which precluded Omerica’s participation in the previous World Cup, the URSF and ediraf have agreed to extend the deal originally made ahead of IAC 7 to the end of the World Cup finals at the earliest, fulfilling the requirement for the Incorrigibles to wear the design for at least three World Cup cycles. The Incorrgibles will display one bronze star on the right shirt sleeve to symbolise their triumph at IAC 7 in Drawkland; any theoretical future World Cup or Cup of Harmony titles would likewise be worn on the sleeve instead of the usual position above the crest.

World Cup Iaru Information
Regarding age, anyone on the squad can be betwixt 18 years old or 980 years due to cell impregnatization technologies developed before Ω 1583 (vhamo tnoz). The year now is Ω 3000 (te vhamo), which still doesn't explain a lot. In between WC cycles, the wait for Geektopia is an excruciating 3000 years, so things might change a lot or a little, usually depending on how bored the previous generations were. Names have changed from Googolisms to, uh, well shortenings. Football formations haven't altered in the slightest, along with positions to boot.

Attacking Pass Formation for Matchday 1:
(7-8-5-1-3-4-6-2) – Loui starts the press and passes to Barella, who is to the right of him. Barella then passes to Andreen, who is right in front of him. Barella then plays a diagonal pass to the frontman who is to the left of him, Medine. Medine feigns his attack, and then plays a lower left diagonal pass to Crete. Crete passes to the feet of Pillars, the man directly to the right of him. Pillars backpasses diagonally to the left of him, finding a leftback waiting in Osorto. Osorto sets up the actual attack and long-balls it to Houg. Houg shoots. If he misses, he passes it back to Loui, and the press continues.

The Ministry of Sports World Cup 85 Team

Motto: "We shall walk together in uncertain times."

And now an important message from the Leader himself: "My fellow multiverse denizens. The time for us to participate has arrived. However, we are still suffering from the aftermath of a rather nasty outbreak. Luckily, we have managed to contain the virus that is causing concern in acceptable levels. But it's important for many to follow safety procedure! With extreme prejudice, we have managed to form a strict defense on the following rules!
1. Airports and our borders will be scanning to determine if any citizens entering or leaving has any visible illness. As mentioned, there will be extreme prejudice. Tip: Get the bureaucratic paperwork ready to show.
2. Our soldiers will violently attack you, if you try to start a ruckus at any of our stadiums.
3. We will be spraying disinfect in our streets to preserve our healthy environment. Don't worry if it's hard to breathe. Your body will adapt to it.
4. Don't worry if some of our soccer fans get rowdy with you. It's a social way of expressing themselves. This goes out to our demon citizens, as well.
5. Fun is encouraged and mandatory.

MANAGERIAL STAFF
Manager: Miles Snavely
A less than stellar job in Eastfield Lodge finishing third behind rivals Darmen, and a very strong Sargossa side has Miles Snavely once again tinkering with his lineup. The big move will be moving longtime starting forward Abriel Torres to the bench in favor of Larson Sneijder as the speed forward and Benjamin Moriarty moving to the attacking midfield position. Snavely saw some success in his later years of playing off the bench and perhaps he thinks that his former teammate Torres can get some more from his legs if he comes off the bench. That said overall the Copa was not a complete failure, but the expectations were not met, and if Snavely fails to qualify that is the biggest expectation that could be failed to be met, perhaps in Snavely's career.

GOALKEEPERS

1 – Florian Wagner – Capetown Crocs 31 Caps, 0 Goals, 18 Years Old
31 caps at the young age of 18 and if things continue like this Florian Wagner will find himself at 50 caps before he is 20 years old. With that math he could rival the top 5 Caps all-time for Taeshani players as that would only mean playing until his early 30's. That said taking Tad Montague's total cap record of 307 seems unlikely, and why are we talking about 14 years down the line for an 18 year old?

12 – Esteban Foh – X Island Marauders 8 Caps, 28 Years Old
The veteran bench option in Goal, Foh will be unlikely to see any action as he has not played great for his club and seems more to be being kept around due to his relationship withe manager, and his ability to teach young keepers. It seems like with this pick Snavely is making a locker room choice more than a skill choice.

24– Isaac Leyton – New Capetown Falcons 0 Caps, 19 Years Old
Isaac Leyton did not see action in his first camp with the national team, but that was less than surprising. The most interesting goalkeeper on the roster as he is older than Florian Wagner, yet won't get to play a lot with Wagner not-injury prone and likely going to get all the starts he needs. Leyton find himself in the traditional position many recent goalkeepers for Taeshan have found themselves, stuck behind a better player for their whole career.

DEFENDERS
6- CB, Yoshimi Hirahito – Cornellians (Schottia) 49 Caps, 0 Goals, 20 Years old
One of the other weak links in the lineup was defensive midfielder turned center back, for the national team, Yoshimi Hirahito. While a strong midfielder, Hirahito has had to figure out the center back position and being closer to the goalkeeper. He seems to have picked it up, but he also rarely plays there, and in a team that prides itself more on its defense than its attack mistakes are often something that can not be overlooked.

8 - CB, Daigo Coshan - Laketown Rangers 100 Caps, 1 goal, 28 Years Old Vice-Captain
Daigo Coshan earned his 100th cap on the same day as one his best friends Alson Figeuroa. While the most senior member of the national team has announced this as his last campaign, his history speaks for itself. Two world cups as a starter, 100 caps, and 2 titles in Taeshan sees him likely hoping for a trifecta of qualification and a spot in Farfadillis and Mriin.

22 - RB, Sullivan Garrett - Moresville FC 4 Caps, 0 Goals, 16 Years Old
It was a roller coaster in Eastfield Lodge for the young Left Back playing Right Back. Garrett was thrust into the Starting XI as the future, and he showed a lot of the reasons the management in Moresville shows faith in him, but he also showed a lot of the in-experience a 16 year old would show in international play. Hopefully these errors are slowly weaned away as he now goes into a long qualifying campaign for the first time.

23 - LB, Santiago Santiago – Oljestaden (Audioslavia) 66 Caps, 1 Goal, 25 Years Old
The speedy left back has earned a lot in his career and strong play in Audioslavia had many wondering if he would be named national team captain but Santiago was one of the players to most cover themselves in glory in Eastfield Lodge. He seems likely to continue to do so as one of the most capped players on this really young lineup.

2 – Desmond Cavanaugh – X Island Marauders 8 caps, 22 Years Old
The likely third center back option on the bench, and the fullback option in a pinch Desmond does not seem a sexy bench player and at this point is only a year or two away from being relegated to the history books of Taeshan soccer.

3- Victor Borja– Club Jim Falls (Darmen) 18 Caps, 23 Years Old
The main fullback option on the bench Borja was passed over for the starting position at the open fullback slot and it seems like he will be on the national team bench for the remainder of his career, but that is likely more than most soccer players ever manage to do.

4 - Liam McKenzie Yaton FC– 2 Caps, 0 Goals, 22 Years Old
A league title was not enough for Liam McKenzie to earn his way to a starting spot, but he earned 2 caps in Eastfield Lodge off the bench. McKenzie will take over for Daigo Coshan in the post World Cup, if the Knights qualify, and his strong defending will be a more than capable replacement for the longtime fullback/center back national team player.

5- Aidan Foster – Atlantea Hurricanes 10 Caps, 1 Goal, 25 Years Old
A goal in a world cup could end up being what Aidan Foster is remembered for and considering how few Taeshani players have scored goals in world cups he probably will never have to buy a drink in his life again. The other good news is the team knows who to call on if they need a center back sub, and with Liam McKenzie more of a starting option than a bench player this could be Aidan Foster's national team niche.

MIDFIELDERS

10- CDM, Alson Figueroa - Avenida Principal(Farfadillis) 100 Caps, 11 goals, 28 Years Old
Alson Figueroa's tournament in Eastfield Lodge in a position less than known to any Taeshani player, let alone the former attacking midfielder was apparently good enough to earn a move for him to Farfadillis. With the world champion country perhaps beckoning at the end of this tournament if the Knights qualify Alson perhaps is getting some early knowledge on what life in Farfadillis, and life as a Farf is like. That could be useful information for the midfielder, especially as he seems close to hanging up his national team boots, and looking for a place to settle down.

14 - RM, Nycolas Jackson – RGS Athletic (Eastfield Lodge) 58 Caps, 4 Goals, 20 Years Old
A post Copa Rushmori move to the host nation was earned by Nycolas Jackson and it is not hard to see why. The speedy young midfielder has earned a lot in his career and while he didn't get quite the move he was hoping for, another step up the ladder is just what the young midfielder was looking for. While many players on this team have a big chance to break out from names in their home countries, Jackson has a chance to break out much like Shiloh Morgenstern into players known world wide.

18- LM, Shiloh Morgenstern – Real Azuris (Cosumar) 69 Caps, 7 Goals, 24 Years OldCaptain
The Captain did not have a lot of questions thrown at him for the less than respectable tournament in Eastfield Lodge, but then again he has done all he can recently. A Galactico long list, as well as a title in Cosumar has many thinking Shiloh is one of the hottest young stars in world football. Now if he can qualify for the World Cup and bring Taeshan to heights they have never seen this tournament he could become a legend in his country.

20 – CAM, Benjamin Moriarty – Yaton FC 18 Caps, 0 Goals, 22 Years Old
A league title does a lot to the status of a national team player and Benjamin Moriarty certainly was close to earning his spot on the field, but now it seems he has forced Miles Snavely's hand. Combining two of the best Taeshan based midfielders on the field in Moriarty and Sneijder sounds like a major headache for any opposition defense to have to deal with, especially with Shiloh Morgenstern and Nycolas Jackson behind them.

15 – Elaine Mathieu – Mierton Manatees 22 Caps, 1 Goal, 25 Years Old
The main option in the midfield off the bench is speedy wing type Elaine Mathieu. Perhaps not the sexiest player off the bench Elaine knows how to do one or two things really good. He can make a defenders day worse as his fresh legs are some of the best, especially with the youth already starting on the field running at defenses before he even sees the field.

17- Xavier Melchoir – Mynda Electra (Banija) 6 Caps, 0 Goals, 24 Years Old
A strong change of pace in Banija has Xavier Melchoir as a solid bench option for the Purple Knights. With Benjamin Moriarty now a starter Melchoir moves to number 2 in the bench pecking order behind Elaine Mathieu. Melchoir is the more technical of the two and could be used to break down some defenses.

19 – Giacomo Pantalaimon – Hannah 8 Caps, 1 Goals, 22 Years Old
One of a duo of Hannah based players that will likely need a move abroad to have any hope of moving up in the national team pecking order.

21 – Lionel Ninetails – Bayern-Algaer 0 Caps, 18 Years Old
One of four new players to join the Purple Knights for their trip to Eastfield Lodge Lionel is the lone field player to not earn his first cap. That is not surprising as the young midfielder is behind a strong contingent of young attacking midfielders. With Sneijder, Moriarty, and Figueroa all now starters Ninetails does see his hopes of starting rise.

STRIKERS

9 - RS, Wilhelm Nkitilina – KT Itzalovalle (Audioslavia) 56 Caps, 28 Goals, 22 Years Old
Wilhelm Nkitilina will have even more to do as Abriel Torres has been benched. While often a target man and big body up front for the Knights, Nkitilina was also able to run some with Torres very capable of bodying defenders. With Sneijder joining him up fron Nkitilina will almost surely have to be more of a body up front that Sneijder runs off of. That said Nkitilina scores the majority of the Knights goals, and any change in attack could help or hurt the Audioslavian based forward.

11-LS, Larson Sneijder – Yenvil Town FC 24 Caps, 2 Goals, 20 Years old
Larson Sneijder is not a traditional forward, but it's not the first strange lineup choice that Miles Snavely or even his predecessor has made. Sneijder can definitely score goals and this could be his time to earn an incredibly big money move from Yenvil Town. The Glovers prospect has led them to great things, now can he help this team score goals and qualify for a third world cup in a row?

7 - RS, Abriel Torres - Cloudsedale Flyers (Equestrian States) 85 Caps, 16 Goals, 27 Years Old
Torres definitely has to feel a little hurt as the 2 time World Cup finals guaranteed starter joins the young forwards on the bench. What remains to be seen is how he takes the loss of his starting spot. While he is hardly the reason the team did not reach their goals in Eastfield Lodge, he is definitely the person who will pay the price. Can he use this to push himself back to the starting XI or will this be the beginning of the end of one of the players that returned Taeshan to to the World Cup?

13 – Shannon Lafayette - Chalesm FC (Sqournshelous) 10 Caps, 0 Goals, 20 Years Old
Ojian's relegation and a strong performance off the bench in the Copa Rushmori saw Shannon move to Sqournshelous. The historic country may not be the first country many people in Taeshan or around the world would choose to watch the club games of, but now many Taeshan fans have a reason. Shannon seems to be the main bench option for late power forward striker types, but may not see as much action off the bench with Abriel Torres now sitting there as well.

16 – Elmo Brubaker – Hannah 9 Caps, 0 Goals, 22 Years Old
A less than stellar club showing over the last few months had the call-up for qualifying less than certain for Brubaker, but he once again sees his name on the roster. He seems to not be destined to get a lot of caps with Nkitilina and perhaps even Shannon Lafayette ahead of him on the team sheet. He may have to leave his home town if he ever hopes of pushing for a starting spot, and that seems unlikely given that not many would be interested in his services.

Squadra Nazionale di Juvencus

Image

An aging squad, with almost none of its original players from their very first baptism of fire campaign, possibly the end of its first generation of football superstars to grace the stage. Dudu Madeiros' retirement from international football has caused quite the hole in the squad, as its most prominent leader is now gone. Gli attaccanti's strong stage mentality is under new management in the leadership of talented Joaquim Martell as the squad is facing its largest free fall in the ranks in its history. This is the perfect time to change the pace and take advantadge of all the quality la squadra offers.

(Clinepalas, 30 November 1914)

A BRIEF INTRODUCTION:
Following the unification of the seven kingdoms, dating back to 1786, HoopoeBall was recognized as the Talamian national sport. It was therefore necessary to wait more than a century before football began to gain popularity. The first official document attesting a football match in Talamia dates back to 1890. Five years later, eight founding teams from all over Talamia created the Talamian Alfa League, which is still the top level of the Talamian football league system today.

The first ten years of Talamian football, not yet very popular at the time, saw only clubs as protagonists. In 1906, however, the seven regions of Talamia began to agree to organize an interregional internal tournament and establish their selections of best players. The Seven Kingdoms Tournament was born. It was held for nine editions, until 1914. The tournament was played with a double round-robin system. The teams played during breaks from the Talamia Alfa League, in summer and winter. The regional selection of Mentrenalio won five editions, Pento two and Uperinde and Epicesi one each. The tournament ceased to exist when TSS decided to found a single national representative.

The first game played by the national team dates back to 30 November 1914, when the sports federations of Talamia and Sörslúth decided to organize a friendly between the selections of the best players of the top leagues of the two nations, to encourage the quiet of a seething political climate. Played in the Ebdemar Au'tokra Stadium of Clinepalas, the game gathered twenty thousand spectators and saw the Talamian national team triumph 6-2. The very first goal scored by the national team of Talamia was by Uptele Trakute, Ptoco's forward. At the behest of the tyrant of Sörslúth, who could not accept the defeat, the game was repeated a month later in the stadium of Eigobair, the capital of the fascist state. Talamia managed again to win 3-0. This prompted Talamia Sports' Summaka to invest in the national team, organizing a first friendly calendar. Epitede Arkha, then coach of Lampride, was appointed manager.
Image
Sanisla Pedalisismi (center) in his farewell match to the
national team in 1979, wearing the traditional away kit.

Following the wave of club football, the national team stopped playing in 1966, after the failure of the Alfa League, to resume playing in 1974, thanks to Noto Plousi, owner of Fortis Epops, four years after the rebirth of the top league of Talamian football. The team began gaining popularity thanks to players of the caliber of Ensem Eio and Sanisla Pedalisismi, who is still today the top scorer.

After more than a century of international football played only on a friendly level, TSS decided to appoint Pedalisismi as manager in 2019, on the occasion of the team's first historic registration to an official tournament: 2019 ILFA. This first peep on the international scene prompted TSS to include the team in the first edition of the NSLeft Association Football Tournament (NAFT). With no need for a qualifying match, Talamia advanced directly to the final stage, drawn in group D with the Democratic Republic of Cacusia, Maoux and Mon Silanies. Following this first experience, Talamia became one of the founding members of NSLeft Association Football Federation (NAFF). Talamia won their debut match in the tournament, defeating Mon Silanies 1-0.

On the way to the 85th World Cup qualifying stage, the national team defeated The Jovannic 2-1 in a friendly match, in what was the first game managed by Sanisla Pedalisismi, who is now on a 2-0-0 streak.

KITS:
Talamia's traditional home colours are red and black shirts, red or black shorts and white or black socks, incorporating all colours of the Talamian flag. The very first kit worn by Talamia national team in its debut match against Sörslúth was all-red. Therefore, over the years the team has re-proposed the historic design, wearing similar all-red jerseys. The national team wore white shorts only on the outfit used between 1977 and 1978. The uniform was so unpopular that it was replaced after just one season.

Even though Talamia's first away kits were total black, starting in 1974 - the year of the resumption of Talamian football - TSS decided that the team would wear simple white shirts in away matches, in order to cushion travel costs. From necessity, tradition was born and still today Talamia's traditional away colours are white shirts and shorts and black socks.

Talamia's third kit has always coincided with the goalkeeper's first kit, which colours are green shirts and shorts - recalling the laurel on the national flag - and white socks.

The motif of the Talamia national football team has a laurel crown, a symbol of peace introduced on the national flag in 1786. It was briefly replaced in the 90's by hoopoe's feathers, and restored in the 2000's.

STARTING XI:
Image

#1 Aha Diapeir
198cm tall, Aha Diapeir arrived at his current club Fortis Epops in 2013, at the age of twenty-two. He is in the small group of players who managed to conquer the team's last three league titles. Solid goalkeeper, very safe between the posts, the exits are his weakness.

#2 Tjin Herev Eo
Side-back with a more defensive than offensive mentality, Eo will surpass the fifty presence with the national team taking the field in the next game. The only one to represent the Afestosja team, a tireless runner, Eo will be the pillar of the right wing.

#5 Yante Skatezzo
Skatezzo can be considered the pupil of Fulatto, his ward companion. Born and raised in Fofokoy, he made the whole process of the youth team to land on the first team six years ago. Fresh from the Alfa League victory, he managed not to get a yellow card over the entire past season.

#13 Timo Fulatto
Timo Fulatto is the most experienced defensive center in the whole national team. Next to 80 presence with the team, he is the mentor of his partner Skatezzo. He is a pure defensive wall with height, agility and great skill in head shots. He won the last season of the Alfa League as the captain of Alla Fofokoy.

#6 Calin Mestithemi
Mestithemi is one of the surprises of the recent call-up. Little international experience but great flair for success. In his career he has won 5 editions of the Alfa League, of which 4 with Clinepalas United and 1 with Epacra Delphis, the team in which he grew up. He is a side-back with the vice of coming forward and fueling the offensive action.

#8 Ansem Egemon (C)
Column of the team and of modern Talamian football, Egemon is the captain of both the national team and his team, Ptoco. Having made his debut at just 16 in the Alfa League, he reaches his twentieth year of career today. Despite his age, he seems to have no intention of stopping. Egemon holds the record for most appearances for the Talamian team with 126 since his debut in 2003, scoring nine goals as of today.

#14 Fjössi Rooura
Born in Eigobair, the capital of Sörslúth, Rooura is the only one to play for the team who was not born in Talamia. He emigrated with his family when he was only two years old, he grew up playing soccer in Stamexo, in the Beta League. Noticed by the scouts of Clinepalas United, he arrived in the capital at 19 years old, making his national debut three years later. Gentle foot, he is the corner kicks specialist.

#7 Ptirn Lagios
A fast career, just like him: Lagios is the wing that every team would dream of. At just 23 he has already scored 7 goals for the national team. His transfer from the Lampride club to the rivals of Clinepalas United was a scandal. Equipped with great dribbling and a speed out of the ordinary, however, he is very prone to injuries.

#20 Upe Bainika
Left wing, enviable technique. Bainika runs the entire band, from defense to attack. He is the pillar of his team, Epacra Delphis, of which he is also the top goalscorer. He was the undisputed star of the club's last two championship wins, in 2010 and 2013.

#10 Kata Dioiiké
Dioiiké is the most complete player in the squad. The number 10 is charged with taking free-kicks and plays as an attacking midfielder, adapting if desired also as a second striker. He is the captain of Fortis Epops, with whom he has won the last three badges.

#9 Stern A'apt
Robust forward, skilled in the header and playing as a point of reference for the advanced midfield line, he is able to play shoulders behind the net to allow the wings to penetrate the opposing defense. Fifth in the all-time list, he scored two goals in today's friendly match against The Jovannic, reaching 29 goals in total.

Son of a poor family of workers from Stamexo, our favorite striker grew up right on the border with Sorsluth and took his first football steps in the hometown team. He made his debut in the Beta League at the age of 19 but we would have said everything at the time except that he would become the first choice for the National Team's attack in the starting lineup. Slightly overweight, he seemed to have only the commitment on his side. But it wasn't enough.

After two seasons in which he had collected more appearances in the stands than anything else, one day everything changed: it was 2013 and Stern had the opportunity to play in a championship game, due to the injury of the two main forwards. The team was doing badly, being close to the relegation zone. However, A'apt discovered how dangerous it could be on high balls. A hat trick. All goals on header. Stern became the hero of the day and the championship, dragging Stamexo to their first second place in the Beta League. The team then lost the playoffs but that was only the beginning for Stern. Purchased by Afestosja the following summer, he managed to drag an excellent team to an equally excellent second place in the Alfa League. Then came the first call-up to the national team, the first international goal. The teams were starting to get used to his way of playing, no longer the other way around.

Then, something changed last year, when A'apt, now a darling of Afestosja, decided to accept the large sum of money that the billionaire Amilla's team, KarpìStomà, offered to move to them. Some say that his poor young football-loving spirit has vanished forever. Yet the great commitment shown once again on the field led him to drag KarpìStomà to fourth place. Could this be an opportunity to show everyone once again that they are wrong?

SUBSTITUTIONS:
#12 Psal Arpaz
Young goalkeeper, he is preparing to play the World Cup with only one cap in the national team. With only nineteen years of age, he is the second youngest player in the group. Will he be ready to defend the posts if Diapeir gets injured?

#23 Stizo Stiba Stroma
Very tall defender with great speed, he is in the second line only for the strength of the central defensive pair of Alla Fofokoy formed by Skatezzo and Fulatto. In the last season of the Alfa League he was elected among the best defenders. He would be the most viable alternative for central defense if he knew his teammates just as well.

#18 Eletheu Atele
Atele is the third member of the three man defense of the team who won the last league: Alla Fofokoy. With his thirty-four years, he is among the most experienced in the whole team. He knows Fulatto and Skatezzo perfectly, together with whom he has allowed his club to concede only 23 goals in 26 games.

#3 Eter Katek
Experienced left back of Fortis Epops, he was called to replace Mestithemi, in case Calin could not live up to the task assigned to him. If necessary, he can also play as a left midfielder.

#21 Kof Vottetheis
Vottetheis is the first choice to replace Rooura or captain Egemon. Refined foot, capable of perfect long passages. In the last season, he has been relegated with his club, Dapsileī. His name will therefore be at the center of the transfer market news. Will he be able to stay focused?

#17 Mesacro Diodos
Diodos can cover almost any role in the midfield. Jolly player not gifted with great technique or speed, he stands out above all for his commitment. But he is still young and has time to improve. Doing it on the field would certainly be the best way.

#19 Neaniaõ
Once upon a time there was a young boy of eighteen who, without even a presence in the national team, was called for the World Cup. It would be a good story, wouldn't it? Neaniaõ's is even better. After two seasons in the academy of his team (at just fourteen he was playing with the under-21) and forty-four goals scored, he was called up by the coach to make his debut in the Alfa League. As of today, he is the youngest player to play in an official national team game breaking Kladios Paid previous record by taking the field at the age of 16 and 14 days in 2018. In the same occasion, Neaniaõ became the youngest player to ever score in a match. There is great pressure on him. Everyone knows that Pedalisismi is very confident in his potential and that he will send him on the pitch to give the attack a fresh touch, in case the matches remain tied.

COACH:
Sanisla Pedalisismi is the top goalscorer in the history of the Talamia Alfa League. He used to play as a right wide forward and occasionally as a secondary striker. In his career he played in all the Big Four Talamian Clubs, starting from the youth sector of Clinepalas United, all the way through FK Katacra, Alla Fofokoy and retiring at the age of 38 in Fortis Epops. Pedalisismi is one of the players-symbol of the rebirth of Talamian football after the great crisis of the 60s.

Active with the national team from 1966 to 1979, he counts 99 caps and 76 goals for The Hoopoes. Appointed manager in 2019, he has so far led the team in two different international competitions: ILFA and NAFT. Loved by fans and remembered as one of the greatest Talamian footballers of all time, the hope is that he will be able to nail it once again as a coach.

Ansem Egemon in action
during Ptoco-Hellas Anen, in 2017.

CAPTAIN:
June 10, 1983. The son of Epituxe and Makaria Egemon is born in the small town of Lochago, near Clinepalas. He is given the name Ansem, exactly like his grandfather, who was a respected carpenter. Ansem is a lively child, he grows up very quickly and immediately proves to have great sports skills. He soon falls in love with football, despite having tried to practice many other sports previously, excelling in each of them. Watching the games of his favorite team, Ptoco, on television is his favorite hobby.

It is 1992 and Egemon, who until then had played among the boys of the semi-amateur club of his hometown, is noticed by the scouts of his beloved team: Ptoco. At just nine years of age, he is ready to make the first important decision of his life: move to Clinepalas. Thus began his closest and most indissoluble bond, the one with the white color of the shirt of the historic Clinepalas team.

After the die in the youth sector and after seeing his team win the Alfa League for almost six years in a row, Egemon made his league debut in 1999, when Ptoco's winning streak seemed to have stopped. He was only 16. Column of his team and of modern Talamian football, he became Ptoco's captain at the age of 27 and he is now the National team's captain too. Egemon holds the record for most appearances for the Talamian team with 126 caps since his debut in 2003, scoring nine goals as of today. He also holds the record for most caps as captain, with 67.

Ball-winning midfielder, he is characterized by his competitive energy, personality, charisma, physical strength and athletic endurance, so much so that he has acquired undisputed leadership not only inside the locker room but also among the fans. He can play both the role of box to box and anchor midfielder and is very skilled in fighting opponents and recovering the ball.

rebuilt in 2018.

HOME STADIUM:
Talamia's capital Clinepalas counts 10,029,416 inhabitants and it's the largest city in the country. Located on the mouth of the Drahma River, it overlooks the Herrebrugh Sea. Being the oldest city, it is also the one with the largest number of places of interest and monuments. The national body responsible for managing the Talamian cultural heritage is ko.de.pa.so., and among others, one of the places it controls is the Ebdemar Au'tkora Stadium.

Initially built for HoopoeBall, the Ebdemar Au'tokra Stadium has always been the home of our National Football Team, since its founding. Talamia played their first match at the stadium on November 30 1914 against Sörslúth, winning 6-2. The stadium has undergone many renovations over time, before being permanently closed and then demolished in 2015, in its hundredth birthday. For a period of three years, the team played their home games in various stadiums around Talamia as the Ebdemar Au'tokra was beaing completely rebuilt. The first match played in the new stadium that just reopened took place on 22 April 2018 and it was once again against Sörslúth. The stadium is today owned by the city of Clinepalas, being considered cultural heritage.

Today, the all-seater stadium has a capacity of 84,000, and it is protected from the elements by a sliding roof that does not completely enclose it. It also has a heated ground, four LED screens and an internal restaurant, called "ArgaleOpson". Located in the Ptoco district, the stadium is in the city center, and it is easily accessible by subway (line P),bus (30, 628 or 913) and taxi. Being provided with paid parking, it can also be reached via private vehicle.

South Covello National Team Roster

Nickname: Rebels
Style modifier: -5

Head Coach: Richard Hawkins
Assistant Head Coaches: Vinnie LaGuche and Joey Egermeister

After World Cup 79 and the South Covellan Revolution, the feisty Rebels elected to turn things over to the next generation. Richard Hawkins, previously the star goalkeeper, was named head coach, but the entire team was new. Vinnie LaGuche returned as well, as an assistant coach, and was joined by Joey Egermeister, a proud supporter of the Revolution and lifelong soccer fan who previously served as Acting President of the South Covello Soccer Federation after the Gregists were overthrown.

Hawkins and his staff hand-picked the new stars, and to his pleasant surprise he was able to find a young goalie who was almost athletic as he was, in Matthew Tyler. Tyler was just 19 years old and already almost as good as Hawkins was. In time, he would probably even surpass him. The rest of the team filled in nicely as well, defensively minded as always, and, as many of them had grown up idolizing the strong defensive wall, first for the Foot Slaves and then the Rebels, this led many of them to become defenders as well. So the good old Rebel Wall was still there, great and strong as ever. The team wouldn’t be letting in many goals this cycle, it sure seemed.

The Rebels would be playing a defensive 4-5-1 this cycle, with the sole striker being the young, awesomely named star Coconut Charles. The Coconut name, of course, was a direct insult to the Gregists, Lord Almighty Gregory and the others who forbid the mere mention of the work. It was sure to be a spectacular future.

However, the future wasn't all it was cracked up to be. South Covello fell way too early, in the Round of 16 of World Cup 80. However, they rebounded in World Cup 81, making the final before losing to Eura, and will look to finally hoist that elusive trophy this tournament. World Cup 82 and World Cup 83 saw them not advance far either. World Cup 84 saw the debut of Lonzo Gordon-McHayward-Greensward-Squidward as South Covello again fell early in the knockout stages, and World Cup 85 will feature several more new young players. Notably, it will feature 16 year old phenom Dodo McAllister, who can double as a striker and offensive midfielder, though he will play on the bench and look to provide some fresh legs and maybe lead a comeback. He is widely considered a successor to Pillory Cantwell once the latter retires. However, winger Nick Night is also highly regarded.

Lineup:

GK: Matthew Tyler (Age 24) CAPTAIN
LB: Karl Klementine (Age 20)
CB: Cal Yachtwood (Age 25)

Revolution Stadium, Riverview

Revolution Stadium opened to start World Cup 80 and usher in a new generation of South Covellan soccer. The stadium is located on the banks of the Goldenrod River, and fans will be able to arrive at the stadium by boat should they wish. As the river is navigable in the portions that run through San Jose Guayabal as well, this opens up the possibility that some visitng fans from that nation could visit if the two nations face each other. However, as San Jose Guayabal appears to have withdrawn from international competition for the time being, that seems unlikely for now.

As mentioned above, the stadium is far more intimate than the old one, seating a relatively small 42,000 fans, with ample space for supporters as well as a small number of visiting fans. The views from the stadium are immaculate, looking out over the Goldenrod Valley with the river in view as well. For games played in the fall, it will just be an amazing sight to behold, even ignoring what is going on with the game.

Ages are at WC LXXXV Finals. Please subtract two years for first half of qualifying, one year for second half.
Please assume YES for all answers in the Permission Box – just don’t kill anyone, K?

Please note this roster was significantly altered after MD7.

KRYTENIA 2274 WORLD CUP SQUAD
Modifier: +5

THE MANAGEMENT TEAM

Manager – Jerome JAFFACAKE-PHILLIPS (KRY/AUD), Age *shrug*
Son of one of the multiverse's most infamous journalists – and son-in-law of the other. Former Krytenian international back in the Stone Age; previously manaaged Silexhera's national team. Expect him to be especially animated if the Dragons play his father's homeland.

Assistant Manager – Paul DAVIS, Age 38
Ousevale's loss is the national team's gain. JJP has taken the young gaffer under his win after he was hung out to dry by the Tigers.

Goalkeeping Coach – Marcus WASHINGTON, Age 41
Defensive Coach – Robert FIELDS, Age 42
Offensive Coach – Graham OWENS, Age 57
Physiotherapist – Victoria BARCA, Age 57

THE SQUAD

Goalkeepers

Image
Damien CARPENTER
Age: 26
Position: Goalkeeper
Club: Mercia Bromham

Steely blue eyes and a blonde ponytail swishing in the wind – Carpenter is the poster boy for the Goalkeeper's Union in more ways than one. Tends to punch crosses rather than go for the clean catch, which has made him unpopular in some circles.

Image
Serge DUPRÉE
Age: 21
Position: Goalkeeper
Club: Bromham City

Young agile custodian who was pretty much the only reason the Westies managed a second season. Now working more miracles in the Mercian capital.

Image
Juan LORENZO
Age: 24
Position: Goalkeeper
Club: Emberton Reds

Called up following Valera's MD7 horror show against Valera.

Defenders

Image
James AITKEN
Age: 24
Position: Right/Centre-back
Club: Ashton Olympic

Practiacally a midfielder in terms of pressing. Loves to work the overlaps.

Image
Theodoros ELEFTHERIOU
Age: 25
Position: Left/Centre-back
Club: Casuals Osteria

Pacy defender, unpronouncable name. Parents are Nemyan Starblaydis, but we won't hold that against him.

Image
Ross GREEN
VICE-CAPTAIN
Age: 24
Position: Centre-back
Club: Leston Town

Tall and rangy, but can shift his weight when needed. Bags of pace and a good read of the game.

Image
Elliot SCHUMANN
Age: 26
Position: Centre-back
Club: Royal Emberton

Excellent strength on and off the ball – when it's on the ground. Decent distribution, heading ability leaves a little to be desired.

Image
Rodolfo MARQUEZ
Age: 23
Position: Right/Centre-back
Club: Avidia United

Speedy and smart in the tackle; can be hesitant to go forward when the Dragons have the ball.

Image
Martin WALLANDER
Age: 29
Position: Left/Centre-back
Club: Emberton Reds

Chases balls like a border collie. Decent distribution, tackling isn't the greatest.

Midfielders

Image
Stephen MARINER
CAPTAIN
Age: 30
Position: Central midfield
Club: Mercia Bromham

A midfield general with a fabulous football brain.

Image
Phillip EATON
Age: 30
Position: Left midfield
Club: Ashton Olympic

Pacy winger, prefers the cross to the cut inside.

Image
Joshua KELNIC
Age: 24
Position: Right midfield
Club: Avidia United

Accurate crosser of the ball and good with it at his feet. Not the fastest.

Image
Cormac O'NEILL (double leg break - out until MD17)
Age: 22
Position: Central midfield
Club: Stanton Town

Took over from Murray Schwarzkopf at the Dockers. Silky ball player and workhorse midfield general all in one.

Image
James POOTSMAN
Age: 27
Position: Right midfield
Club: Beckton Supermarine

Small but wiry winger with excellent ball skills. Can't tackle to save his life.

Image
Oliver ALEXANDER
Age: 25
Position: Left midfield
Club: Notegia Rangers

Cultured winger at an uncultured club. Expect him to be snapped up.

Image
Samuel JOHANSSEN
Age: 22
Position: Central midfield
Club: Bradwell Saints

Tenacious young midfielder, full of running. Better at short than long passes.

Image
Daniel MOULIER
Age: 20
Position: Central midfield
Club: Emberton Reds

Intelligence beyond his years. Quick passer of the ball.

Forwards

Image
Rafael MENDONCA
Age: 27
Position: Forward
Club: Mercia Bromham

Mendonca upped and got the hell out of Avidia City as soon as they were relegated. Going to one of the country's biggest clubs has not hurt one jot.

Image
Neil SMITH
Age: 20
Position: Forward
Club: Stanton Town

This young lad is built like the proverbial outhouse, but is surprisingly quick on his toes. Right foot could open a jar of pickle.

Image
Selaphiel KENNEDY
Age: 31
Position: Forward
Club: Stanton Town

The Kennedy dynasty continues as Selly follows in the footsteps of Gabriel, Raphael, and Uriel in breaking into the national team. Why this lot are still all loyal to the Dockers is anyone's guess, mind.

Image
David HORROCKS
Age: 24
Position: Forward
Club: Ashton Olympic

Loves the predatory role just behind the front two. Big-money move to Ashton saw him help the Bears win the title.

Image
Curtis COLLINS
Age: 24
Position: Forward
Club: Beckton Supermarine

Clinical finisher, reads the game well. Speed needs work.

Image
Alex PARSONS
Age: 21
Position: Forward
Club: Notegia Rangers

Pace makes him difficult to track; has a lethal left peg. Only 5'7” though, so unlikely to win too many headers.

LIKELY STARTERS – Formation: 3-4-3 “System Garcia”

Formation 5-3-2 (and tactical notes)
Standard/defensive formation
Attacking formation

The roster is very similar to the roster of the 60th AOCAF - and for a good reason. Many new staff members were hired, the selection process was reviewed, a new team was selected based on the core that was there, and the team won the Dragonflies' second big football title. Some say this is the moment to review and make the team even better, but for now, the same team remains in place.

Goalkeepers
1. GK Perry Cholmondeley (26) - Maynard AFC
12. GK Gudo Neihof (22) - Straudum
23. GK Barre Goossen (24) - Schemerdrecht SVV
24. GK Rasmus Tornkwist (30) - KF Werzin, QUS

Cholmondeley is the surprising pick for #1 goalkeeper. Theshendan lost his place a while back, and he makes place for a trio of goalies that have been primed to play for the Dragonflies for a long time now. Whether Cholmondeley is actually the best choice, is yet to be seen, but right now he's more mature than either Neihof and Goossen - so the choice stands. Neihof looks to be Ko-oren's answer at the position for the next decade or so, but right now he has a lot to learn. At the position, you'll rarely find a player with an outspoken mind - at least in our nation - and traditionally the least contentious players have been picked again.

Defenders
2. LF Peter Hellegeland (24) - Straudum
13. LF Saunlilun Buthoningun (22) - Branvón CD
25. LF Alan Brogley (33) - Bruncester United AFC
3. LB Minne van Schelven (22) - Straudum
14. LB Odde Aandal (26) - Duke of the North, PAS
4. CB Dennis Lampshire (27) - Raven River, NPH
15. CB Ethan Benjamin (24) - Mallox, COS
26. CB Barnamakun Genperinden (20) - Romanopolis United, DAR
5. RB Hikomoto Mizuno (21) - Katashi-Kanatsu
16. RB Obadiah Parrott (26) - Busukuma Athletic Club, BNJ
6. RF Isabela Basquez (21) - Branvón CD
17. RF Lionel Dalton (31) - Chenoworth Harriers, NPH
27. RF Pette Grootenhuis (23) - IFK Liverpool United, DAR

Welcome to the secret to Ko-orenite football. The defence. Filled with world-class players at every position, the players themselves are in the middle between staying at their home town teams, or moving to bigger money within the country, or abroad. Van Schelven is a wonderful professional player, extremely mature for his age, and a motivating factor in the back line. This contrasts well with Hellegeland, Lampshire, and his understudy Benjamin, who are very rebellious. Lampshire is a natural leader but driven by conflict, and does not make a great captain. Mizuno is a huge talent, but has too many attacking tendencies and risks being moved out to right fullback. Dalton looks benched, but plays over 50% of matches, the extremely silent right fullback is still in his prime but unable to take his teammates further.

Midfielders
7. DM Reizo Yokota (29) - Katashi-Kanatsu
28. DM Celia Marrable (21) - Maethoru SC
29. DM Cole Train (21) - Tanques AOÉ
18. LM Bawfreon yChibwod (23) - Tanques AOÉ
30. LM Teobhwch yTawdnhawch (20) - Cirelbourne United
8. CM Saushilu Janoreirinthen (24) - Maethoru SC
31. CM Jurorarra Yerowie (19) - Miradela GD
19. RM Harold Batchelor (22) - Maynard AFC
32. RM Lysander Forward (24) - Cirelbourne United
33. RM Samuel Ulysse (27) - Tanques AOÉ
10. AM Maximilien Longchambon (23) - Revolutionaries, EUR
20. AM Jochi Murakami (23) - Advance Alara

Yokota, against his will, remains the captain. He's by far the wordiest person on the field, leading to his appointment, but that's about as far as it goes. He balances well with the angrier types in the defence and mellows them out - and keeping Lampshire from declaring a revolution against the team is a landmark achievement. Train and Marrable are both worthy successors, and depending on the week the one or the other is better. The LM and RM are rarely used, and can be used offensively (as a winger) or defensively (as an outlet for the CM playmaker, the DM defensive midfielder, or an extra place to play the ball to from defence). Janoreirinthen never had a spectacular development, but is now above and beyond a wonderful playmaker. He reads space and time like noone else but is never the quickest, the most athletic, or the most spectacular. Further front is Longchambon, the prince of the Dragonflies and he delivers countless assists, key passes, and so on. Ulysse is very talented, but has dropped to a much lower standard as of late.

Attackers
9. SS Samou Vallotton (30) - Branvón CD
21. SS Gelereth Pirastadhaunden (24) - Maynard AFC
34. SS Julio Vermelho (30) - Miradela GD
11. ST Lew Turner (23) - Cirelbourne United
22. ST Sorai Nagamine (29) - Katashi-Kanatsu
35. ST Domingos Noya (27) - Miradela GD

Strikers... well, you can't play without them, but the Dragonflies definitely would if they could. Strikers have a very short shelf life on the archipelago, once you're good, you're in, and when you stop scoring, you're out. Vallotton is probably the best among the bunch, with a revolving door policy for the other positions. Turner has the advantage now, but it might as well be Nagamine or the much more experienced (for the national team, at least) Noya.

Starting lineup usually consists of numbers 1-11.
Selection usually consists of number 1-23.

Penalties: Longchambon, Vallotton
Free kicks: Longchambon, Hellegeland
Corner kicks: Yokota, Janoreirinthen

Most likely to get booked: Lampshire, Benjamin, Turner
Most likely to draw fouls: Longchambon

Common substitutions:
- In case of injuries: defender for defender, striker for striker, midfielder for midfielder
- Defending a win: Midfielder for striker, defensive midfielder for other midfielders
- In need of a goal: Striker for RB/CB/LB, RM/LM for RB/CB/LB/DM

Feel free to break with these patterns, though.

TEAM HISTORY
This is the official roster, featuring the Elite Eleven, an independent squad of Drawkians who have played all sports at a professional level for a confusingly long time. The old Kick Corps has been essentially removed, the players let go, and replaced by this squad of ridiculously skilled, annoyingly arrogant, and possibly immortal sportsmen. Nobody knows where they came from, or why DISC decided to replace the Kick Corps with them, but here they are. Just don't ask the baseball fans about them.
Drawkian soccer, and indeed, sporting in general, is mostly offensive-minded. This is reflected in the style indicator and in the formation. Drawkian soccer has not really been exposed to outside influences, and thus may look or feel strange to those used to "normal" football. Nevertheless, the Eleven are still good at what they do, and prize in an enduring game, moving the ball around nearly constantly and keeping energy going, aiming to tire out the opposing team. Of course, Drawkians aren't humans, but you can read about that elsewhere. Despite the fact that usually soccer is a female-only sport in Drawkland, the Elite Eleven have overturned that caveat as the higher-ups deemed them a suitable replacement in the interim as the real Kick Corps hides away for a few cycles and gets their shit back together.

Choose Scoring Events: Yes
Godmod Scoring Events: Yes
RP Injuries to my Players: Yes
Godmod Injuries to my Players: Yes
Yellow Card my Players: Yes
Red Card my Players: Yes
Godmod Other Events: Yes
As far as these go, I'm fair game for anything. You should know what is and isn't drastic RP, and if you think your RP is on the drastic side, TG me first. But I'm still basically up for anything.
I'd like to request that injuries or cards don't do anything outside of the scope of a single game or maybe 2. Don't want anything tournament or cycle-ending. Red cards should be limited to late knockout stages, and I'd probably think that there should be no more than 2 players red carded per tournament.
The Elite Eleven are sorta oddballs. I mean, they're a group of 11 dudebros, but they're supposedly immortal or something. Keep that in mind.

Disclaimers of various sorts:
I don't know very much about soccer. If I RP something weird, it's because I have little to no experience with this sport. But whatever.
If you have any questions about anything involving me, this team, my nation, this competition, life, etc., feel free to telegram me.

ԬԬԬ The Celtic Times ԬԬԬ
Alba and Cymru Releases Official Roster Ahead of World Cup 85

Quick Introduction: After Charles III, more often known as Teàrlach I of Alba, defeated the Anglo-Saxons at the decisive Battle of Culloden in northern Alba, his majesty consolidated all of the English possessions of the Celtic lands and created the United Kingdom of British Celtland and Hibernia. A period of Pax Celtica endured for 100 years until the Industrial Revolution, when economic growth prompted the Celts to seek independent affairs from the king. Political and cultural differences led the then-king Ruiseart I to divide the kingdom into three: Hibernia became the Commonwealth of Ole Eire, Cornwall became the Kingdom of Kernow, and Cambria remained with Alba to become the United Kingdom of Alba and Cymru. The disastrous effects of the Great War left Europe in shambles. England, Germany, and Russia became the foundation for dozens of new feudal nations, leaving Alba and Cymru as one of the world's dominant powers.

Alba and Cymru has decided to partake in this year's World Cup, which will be the nation's first, in order to exhibit the pure talent of the nation's leading football program. King Cynbal himself organized many international sponsors, including O'Hare Airlines and Acme Steel, to build a mega-stadium for the Celtic footballers. The program hired defensive-minded Coinneach MacDunn to take charge of the new team. MacDunn's game strategy has been criticized as being "unorthodox" by many piers and experts alike, but his history of success has proven that his game plan is always two steps ahead.

Many footballers from around the world have played for Alba and Cymru's professional football league, consisting of 8 clubs. These teams nominated their greatest athletes to partake in establishing a football dynasty for Alba and Cymru, and 25 of the best have been chosen by MacDunn to fly to Delaclava for the Baptism of Fire and to Farfadillis and Mriin for the 85th World Cup.

Starting XI

#6 Conchúr MacGregor, Captain
MacGregor spent his teenage years in the inner slums of Dublin as a bootlegger and a martial artist. He came across the sport of football when he was 14, and his career would expand from there. Earning a scholarship from the University of Ireland in Dublin, MacGregor turned from his old ways and fully embraced his lifestyle of football. He eventually earned a contract with the Druids Club in Glasgow, where he has earned 450 goals over his 15-year career. He plans to capitalize on this opportunity in the World Cup to expand on his skills, as well as lead a national team to greater victory.

#10 Not Lionel Messi, Vice-captain
Not Messi is renown as one of history's top scorers, earning 724 goals in his 17-year career. His offensive success during the Baptism of Fire shows that the team's defensive mindset plus

#12 Heinrich Weiss

#22 Carlos Meireles
Carlos's early days were spent seeking philosophical truth from across the globe. He traveled to the depths of Siberia, to the hidden thickets of the Amazon, to the sands of Arabia, and to the outbacks of Australia. Through his world travels, he was able to improve his football skills from local gurus, who have spent years perfecting the philosophy of the sport. Meireles came to realize that football was much more than a sport or a strategy game, but a way of life. He joined the Edinburgh Lions in search of greater freedom, and was given the opportunity to play for the national team in this upcoming world cup.

#7 Francesco Persico
A veteran of the Italian Civil War, Francesco Persico knows what it takes to be a true warrior. He moved to Cymru just recently to join the Rangers Football Club, where he's made an impressive career as a top-tier midfielder.

#5 Diarmuid MacNab
As the "Poster Boy" of Alba and Cymru's football culture, MacNab has developed widespread fame not just in his home country, but also worldwide. He's earned millions of doilleirs in advertisements for sports brands and insurance companies, so most people have seen him from time to time. His revenue, and more importantly his skill, contributes heavily to the Celtic backfield and to the program as a whole.

#18 Wilhelm Eisenhauer
Details coming soon

#20 Ine Wes Seaxe
Details coming soon

#29 Teàrlach Levenax
Levenax grew up in rural southern Galloway on a family-owned dairy farm. His experience in football was limited to skirmish matches between townsfolk, but his skills improved once he left for Glasgow to pursue a degree in sports medicine. Levenax walked on the university;s football squad, and he quickly earned a starting position as a fullback. His career earned the respect of Edinburgh's Lion Football Club, and he became a player at the age of 20. Still, his journey did not end there. His abilities eventually led him to try out for the new Celtic football team organized by Alba and Cymru, who needed a player like Levenax to defend the right side of the pitch from pesky wings.

#2 Jarquín Ramos
"The Spanish Ninja", as some call him, made his debut season at Seville before joining the Rangers Club in Caerdydd. Widely renown since the beginning of his career, Ramos quickly earned a reputation as being a world-class sweeper, blocking seemingly guaranteed shots left and right. Some of the world's top strikers have publicly stated that they tend to avoid the penalty box when playing the Rangers, in fear of being surprise attacked by the Ninja himself.

#9 Johannes Werner
Nicknamed "The Bastion of Bavaria", Johannes is one of the world's most-dreaded goalkeepers. In his 10-year career at Munich, he has saved over 480 goals, while allowing just 150. Opposing forwards have described attempting to score on Werner as "trying to kick a ball over a mountain."

=================================

Manager: Kevin Connelly (58 years old)
Connelly agreed to come out of retirement to help novice manager Bryan Ostrom with learning the ropes of being an in-match manager during AOCAF, and agreed to one more go as an assistant manager during World Cup 84 qualifying. He is more defensive minded than Ostrom is. He takes over the team after Ostrom's suicide.
Assistant Manager: Kevin Wilson (56 years old)
The former "B-Stars" national team manager previously served as the AOCAF team's manager, but now steps in as an assistant for the main national team with Connelly's ascension to manager. He takes over the more offensive role from Ostrom.

HOME GROUND: Dave Wilson Stadium, Woodstock (105,690 capacity, natural grass field); alternate home ground i Joe Gibbs Stadium in Woodstock (75,900 capacity)

Roster (Starters in bold)

GOALKEEPERS
1 Carlton Sandt, 20, 6-foot-3, 215 pounds (Lakiska SC, Banijan Soccer League)
Sandt is the younger brother of legendary Stars goalkeeper Horace Sandt. He won the starting job for the Wanderers as a true freshman and led a previously downtrodden side to the national semifinals. He has catlike reflexes and is quick off his line. Can get too aggressive.
30 Paolo Gomes, 26, 5-foot-9, 165 pounds (Portland Timbers)
Gomes recently migrated to Sarzonia and earned a spot on the Stars national team with his quickness in the box. Plays a lot on instinct.

DEFENDERS
4 Charlie King, 25, 5-foot-11, 155 pounds (Saugerties Snakes)
King plays as a defensive-oriented fullback, often marking the opposing team's top striker. He relies more on positioning and reading his opponent's tendencies and body language to figure out where to run than on speed. He's not exactly a burner.
5 Tommy Benignati, 28, 6-foot-2, 200 pounds (Wilmington FC)
The older brother of Marco Beningnati, Tommy plays a much more rugged style than Marco does. Can play sweeper in a three-back lineup.
7 Matt Taylor, 23, 6-feet, 185 pounds (Burlington Browns)
Taylor's speed lends itself to being a fullback, but he plays halfback for the Browns. He has a tendency to struggle with more physical forwards and offensive midfielders.
13 Russ Howard, 34, 5-foot-10, 170 pounds (Nicksia Knights)
Howard is on the roster as much for his veteran leadership and for being a coach on the pitch as he is for his manmarking abilities. He and Taylor are rooming together during qualifying.
18 Ben Russell, 29, 6-foot-1, 190 pounds, Rochester Renegades
In his first season as team captain of the Renegades, he led the team to a Sarzonian Football Confederation championship, resulting in the team's promotion to the Cyanea League. If he's on the pitch in the event Howard gets subbed for, he will don the captain's armband. He is a reserve halfback for the Stars.
22 Carmela Bowen, 27, 5-foot-8, 145 pounds, Woodstock Justice
Brown plays fullback for the Justice, a Sarzonian women's football team, and typically marks whomever the playmaking midfielder is. Her stamina earned her a spot on the national team.
6 George Morrison, 33 M 6'2 185 pounds, Nicksia Knights
Morrison is the only Stars player with significant international experience prior to this year, having competed in an AOCAF 10 years ago. He is here to help provide veteran leadership and bench depth.

MIDFIELDERS
8 Ernie Mabree, 24, 5-foot-10, 175 pounds (FC Corcorran)
Mabree has one of the better left-booted shots in the Sarzonian league structure and is one of the fastest players in Sarzonia. He'll play an important role in Sarzonia's offence.
10 Brady Reynolds, 28, 6-foot-2, 185 pounds (Portland Timbers
Donning the 10 shirt for the Stars, Reynolds can be very creative with the ball and will often take corner kicks and free kicks. Predominantly a right-booted player, but he's worked a lot during the offseason on improving with his left boot.
20 Clayton Wilson, 21, 5-foot-10, 170 pounds, (Woodstock Wild) Captain
A grandson of legendary Stars forward Brian Wilson and great-grandson of coach Dave Wilson, Clayton is not just a fourth generation star among the Stars, he served as the playmaker for the Under 21 Stars and is a sterling wing player on the Wild.
18 Carlos dos Santos, 23, 5-foot-11, 175 pounds (Woodstock Wild)
A right wing player, he will sometimes be called upon to take free kicks if Reynolds is unable to for some reason.
16 Trisha Collins, 30, 5-foot-6, 125 pounds (Portland Thorns)
Collins will assume the same role with the national team that she does for the Thorns in Sarzonia's women's football league as a defensive midfielder and general pest.
28 Travis D'Agostino, 28, 6-foot-2, 200 pounds, (Wilmington FC)
D'Agostino will provide depth for the defensive midfield for the Stars. He starts for Wilmington in that role.
30 Erik Swann, 22, 5-foot-11, 175 pounds (Portland Timbers)
Swann's strength is being a late-match offensive substitute who can score in a pinch.

FORWARDS
11 Cayden Aguirre, 30, 5-foot-10, 170 pounds (Nicksia Knights)
Aguirre is the creative forward on the squad with an ability to pinch hit as a playmaking midfielder in late-match situations in the event of defensive-minded substitutions.
21 Jake Campos, 20, 6-foot-3, 210 pounds, (Portland Timbers)
Campos is a straight up target player in the front line. His leaping ability makes him a prime candidate for headers in the box off corner kicks and indirect free kicks. He played on the Junior Stars team that competed in the most recent AOCAF.
17 Mek'hi West, 31, 6-foot-3, 215 pounds (Woodstock Wild)
West is similar in style to Campos, but with West 18 months removed from a torn ACL, he's still working toward being match fit for a full 90 minutes. He can give a good 45-50 minutes at a time before he has to be substituted for when he's a starter.
19 Holly Cambrio, 24, 5-foot-7, 145 pounds (Woodstock Justice)
Cambrio adds flair and ball movement skill and the ability to serve as a sparkplug off the bench, but would be a starter for a women's national team if that competition got resurrected.

Understanding the Pool

Following in the footsteps of former manager Kadvael Heault, Gilduin Roux named a large pool of players to utilize during World Cup qualification. This will allow for a large number of fresh athletes while Roux can determine the best 23 players in Oberour Ar Moro.

The players number 1-11 would be considered the starting 11 if the cup started today. The players 12-24 would be backups. Every layer behind them is competiting for the those 23 spots throughout qualification. When the team qualifies for the World Cup (or the Cup of Harmony, should they fall short) the pool will be cut down, and the numbers will be reassigned to the final squad. Throughout qualifying, starting rosters and the bench at each game will feature a different mix of players from the pool.

Stadium Information

All Oberour Ar Moro home matches will be played at the Parade Grounds in the capital of Regium, capacity 46,670.

In between the junk mail and angry missives received at World Cup Committee headquarters was an envelope with no return address and no stamps. Once they opened the envelope, they found the below single page:

After looking over the letter, the WCC tried to understand more about the entry. A secretary found the original envelope in the trash and found that there was something in handwriting on the back. They reviewed the envelope and determined this was written:

Stadium: Municipal Stadium

My opponent, if they RP first, may do the following:
Godmod scoring events: Yes
RP injuries to my players: No
Godmod injuries to my players: No
Give red cards to my players: No
Godmod other events: No

Any injuries to either team in Quiet Lands home matches are healed once leaving the nation.
