There were a lot of great drivers in Diarcesia in the more than twelve years of WGP3 seasons. Among them was Sara Luna, who put up remarkable numbers in that time. Many would argue that only Aldauren Ginintella had a better season than Luna's, and Ginintella also won more championships.
The two had a close race going into the Elbej Historic Site. The area was quite rugged, with rocky outcrops and a rare alpine tectonic plate. The combination of factors had produced an interesting result. According to the WGP3's calculated stats, Ginintella was just ahead of Luna by ten thousandths of a second. The two were closer together than at any other point in the season before Sara's WGP2 debut.

It's getting clear that Sara's performance was not an anomaly. Fan-based computer simulations predicted a win for her and also had high hopes for Cocoabo #23. Unfortunately, it didn't come to pass.
In the aftermath of a race where Sara maintained P6 but couldn't get past it, Adelphia-VMR found themselves in sixth place in the Constructor's battle.
"Now we just have to crunch the data on how the new tires actually performed in the rain," said Silver Chariot. "It will be interesting to see how this season shapes up in the second half."
Carmichael Fire, the team's number one driver, finished without points once again, much to his consternation. His race was much less exciting, but his effort was more consistent. He found himself in the right place at the right time, but even then, there is just something, some sort of hill, that he couldn't drive past on. Sara thought about reaching out to him during the week, but decided against it. She was not sure if her opinion is warranted at the time. After deliberating, she came to the conclusion that doing so would just reinforce what she already knew.
"Yes this is Sara." It is her free time, and her phone rang while she was flipping through the book she's reading.
"Hello? Carmi speaking. You know, I’m sorry for what happened last week. I hope you would forgive me..."
Sara thought about it for a moment. That incident from last week did cut a wound of sorts inside her and mentioning it made her recall the pain within. But her almost four decades of life taught her that holding onto grudges is no way to live.
It'll take some time for their relationship to heal, but at least they can start repairing it and prevent this from impeding their professional arrangement. Her next choice was simple: "Apology accepted."
