Fellow South Pacificans,
the recent coup of our ally the East Pacific has brought out several revelations with regards to the Rahl family. Despite their rhetoric that they are only a RP family comprising mutually friendly individuals, we now have received clear and convincing evidence that they are, as many have foretold and suspected, operating as a political entity. With their destabilizing machinations uncovered, and the roots of their family in the infamous Empire, which in years past orchestrated several coups, there is no doubt that any member of the Rahl family, no matter how innocent themselves, is an inherent threat to the security of any region that allows that member to call it their "home".

Furthermore, the same evidence also reveals both the masterminds and the willing participants of the recent coup. This was not a spontaneous coup "for the lulz", but rather had been many, many months in the planning. Even Fedele's re-election as Delegate was masterminded by this same group, using voter importation (primarily from Rahl members and affiliates), strategic misdirection, and other methods to ensure that their desired candidate won the election. This is inexcusable.
Last but not least, the evidence lends credence to the suspicion that it was Rahl operatives that attempted to interfere in the last Delegate elections in the South Pacific, by bringing in puppets to vote for Roavin at the last minute over Aumeltopia. Roavin was assumed by the coup perpetrators to be more likely to support their coup and therefore more valuable to have in the South Pacifican Delegacy.
The Coalition of the South Pacific is the oldest extant democracy in NationStates, and it is both our duty and our heritage to promote the democratic ideals that have led to the longevity and prosperity of this great region. Promoting these democratic ideals does not only mean advocating for them, and fighting for them as we have done once again, but also condemning violations of these principles wherever they are abused and violated.
For the acts mentioned above, the Cabinet together with the Council on Regional Security hereby issue the following proscriptions, to take effect immediately:
The Rahl family shall be considered regionally proscribed as per Article 1.1.a (overthrowing the legitimate government of an ally), 1.1.d (Exploiting, manipulating, or unduly influencing elections or votes), 1.2 (Conspiracy), and 1.3 (Complicity) of the Proscription Act. The reasons are detailed and illustrated with screenshots above, and should be obvious to any reader.
Furthermore, any member of the Rahl family that is a current or former Head of House, Patriarch, or Matriarch shall be considered fully proscribed for the same reasons. These individuals form the "inner circle" of the family, the one responsible for planning their political machinations, while compartmentalizing access so that regular members, unaware, can be used alternately as shields or pawns.
The individuals known as Fedele/Scardino, Aleister/Lamb Stone, Funkadelia, and Davelands shall be considered regionally proscribed as per Article 1.1.a (overthrowing the legitimate government of an ally), 1.1.d (Exploiting, manipulating, or unduly influencing elections or votes), 1.2 (Conspiracy) of the Proscription Act. The reasons are detailed and illustrated by screenshots above, and should be obvious to any reader. In the case of Aleister and Funkadelia, this proscription stands in addition to their extant proscription for similar bad faith acts in Lazarus.
Tim Stark shall be considered regionally proscribed as per Article 1.2 (Conspiracy) of the Proscription Act for taking part in the planning of this coup from at least June to August of this year.
The individuals known as Dalimbar, Kshrlmnt/Elindra, Arkadia Universalis/United Arkadia, and Neenee/Minineenee shall be considered regionally proscribed as per Article 1.3 (Complicity) for their role as imported voters in the East Pacific. This item is separate and in addition to their coverage by other proscriptions, if applicable.
We encourage other regions in the world, particularly our fellow game-created regions, to recognize the Rahl threat for what it is and take similar measures against them.
