Green Tides
Hand in hand, we march to meet tomorrow.

≋ A The Srivijayan Consortium Roleplay ≋
A nation rich with oil, rubber, minerals, and many other resources; the land of Samporna may truly live up to its Sanskrit namesake of "perfection". Now, as green tides crash against its white sandy beaches; and the wind of change shakes the palm trees, these resources fall into the hands of Gaddafist socialists; deemed radicals even by most socialists and Muslims.
Yet not all agree at all with these new changes; for far beyond the shores of Samporna, and across the sea; many foreign powers see their interests challenged, or even intrigued. As green tides come to change Samporna for the better or worse, a foreign storm comes to haunt the nation; a storm that may hope either to reverse the changes, or even exploit it.
Even worse, its allies might no longer be allies. Whatever allies the previous administration had, may have different thoughts about the new administration. Will they still, even in Samporna's time of need, offer aid? Or will they be part of the storm to ravage the nation?
Whatever the answer may be, Samporna will stand proud with its people; to victory or martyrdom.
This RP is set to have begun in March 2019, following a popular coup, and may run far beyond the month. It is not necessarily a war RP, because things can be settled peacefully; but it can become a War RP, since intervention without compromise is possible. Hopefully, we can keep the battlefield within the relative area of Samporna; and not turn this into a world war like how most NS War RPs end up.

City Square, Kutawatu
All across the square; cheered not just the men, but the women and children too as they all stood with pride in the city square. Their voices roared and their chants echoed with pride and joy, as in front of them stood a man with a microphone. Tall and tan, with glasses and a military uniform; he waved back at the people and smiled with them. It was Yuhanna Faatrik bin Samporna, the leader of the Sampornese Green Revolution and the Brotherly Leader of Samporna.
"Comrades! Brothers and sisters, workers and farmers; I stand before you today not simply as a leader- But as a brother, to all of Samporna!" he spoke into the microphone. "For too long, has our great nation been subject dictation! If not at the hands of aristocrats, clergymen or businessmen; then by our own government- The Warisan Council, the parliament of which has become the tool of the modern dictatorship in Samporna! For after all, when a party wins an election- Who gets to decide national policy? Is it the people? No! It is the party- And therefore so, the election is not the victory of the people for the people- But the victory of the party! That is why, we- The people! Have overthrown our oppressors- And taken the reins of control for ourselves! We stand at the dawn of a new Samporna comrades- One where it is you, the people; whom decides what goes and what doesn't! This is your victory!"
Their cheers in response roared throughout the square, and across the city; with cameras rolling and recording live, with news coverage nationwide and beyond. Drumsticks began to beat upon drums, as percussion produced the beat of the crowd; hands clapping, and drums beating. Trumpets sounded, as voices erupted; a new anthem for a new Samporna. Standing in salute, were the soldiers of Samporna; a proud and loyal fighting force, of which Faatrik was comrades with, who stood proudly as the crows sang their new anthem.
This was the display of pride of the new Samporna, broadcast live all across the nation; as well as overseas. For the Sampornese, it was something to be proud of; but overseas, such a display may invite very different reactions...
Liguasan Oil Field, East of Kutawatu, Sout of Picit
In front of his table, stood several men in uniforms- Workers, employees, and the like. Arms crossed and eyes sneering, with scorn and disdain. "It means, you're fired. Comrade Faatrik said it himself- This is the people's victory now. The means of production belong to the workers now."
"I don't care what that socialist says; this is my company, with my deed; and-
The door opens, and in comes a man in a Baju Batikt; followed by several soldiers, who surround the office, backing up the workers.
"What the- Who the hell are you? I'll call the authorities if you don't leave now-
"Mr. Tareef, I am Usaama bin Ashgar; and I work for the Sampornese Administrative People's Commitee. I have papers here that detail how ownership of these facilities now belong to the workers and their elected representative. Have a good day."
The man handed Tareef the papers, who looked over them carefully. "What- I'm calling my lawyer- This is illegal and against the constitution-
"There is no constitution comrade. It's a new Samporna." Said Usaama with a smile, as Tareef was escorted out of the room.
