BIO: Jelena Colac-Strek was born in Vutosko just outside of the city of Prizren. Vutosko is famous for one thing and one thing only within Mytanija and that is that it is the domestic headquarters of the country's only luxury sports car manufacturer Petrinja. Petrinja are known for creating super cars and have heavy involvement in domestic karting and it was this fortunate quirk of fate - being born in the hometown of Petrinja - that connects Colac-Strek to racing. As a teenager she visited the Petrinja Factory with her father and began karting at the small circuit they have there, racing initially in the cadet class. Her progression from there on was swift and she was soon racing at a much higher level in vehicles with bigger engines and has applied herself successfully, winning competitions all over the country including the National Championship two years ago.
Motor racing tends to only be popular in working class, right-leaning communities and this has often meant that Colac-Strek has faced criticism when competing domestically. Many are surprised that a woman is competing against men and the fact that she often beats them make her a particularly obvious lightning rod for many working class, socially right-leaning men's anxieties about their own inadequacies and position within society. Colac-Strek is 21 and from a different generation of Mytanars who are unanimous in support for gender equality etc and has dealt with criticism she has received excellently - like anyone faced with significant criticism for prolonged periods she has occasionally bit back and when she has this has revealed a fiery character beneath her usually calm and measured exterior.
Domestic motor racing in Mytanija isn't of the highest standard, in terms of both the drivers and their vehicles. However, Colac-Strek's technical ability and fearlessness when trying to find a gap through which she can overtake have led to her looking abroad for opportunities to race at a higher level. Some domestic commentators believe that going straight in at WGPC level could be a mistake in her fledgling career and that she should develop her reliability at a lower level of racing. Whilst her technical ability is good, developed on the often difficult Mytanar circuits and her knack for overtaking should serve her well wherever she lands up, many teams may have a question mark surrounding her ability to manage a vehicle and ensure it stays in one-piece. The fact she hasn't raced outside Mytanija in a top-level series or even top-level racing car, will also be an issue for some.
However, it is her backers that have pushed her on, believing that her marketability as a young woman in motor racing and more generally as an extremely popular character in Mytanija (something they hope can transfer onto a multiversal stage), make her a worthwhile risk. They are of course looking to make money from this too, but Colac-Strek could be a good bet if she can secure a WGPC seat this season. Any team bringing Colac-Strek into the fold could expect both her personal sponsorship as well as financial backing for the team too - particularly from chocolate/confectionery company Kikinda (also the sponsors of the prospective Mytanar Grand Prix), and brewers Guinec.

BIO: The Nacionalni Autodrom Rebecna - known colloquially as Rebecna - is a racetrack renowned for its high-speed straights and heavy braking zones. Located just outside Miago, the venue welcomes the infamously partisan Groznicavi on important race weekends. Mytanar motor racing's most passionate fans - who spectate in a fashion that many ultras groups that follow football or multi-sport clubs would be proud of - sing, wave enormous flags and are incredibly biased towards those they consider to be their local driver and teams. Groznicavi comes from the Vojovitican for 'fever', a suitable adjective to describe the manner in which these particular motor racing enthusiasts support their chosen racer. The race is currently sponsored by Mytanar chocolate and confectionery giants Kikinda and their blue logo will be highly visible around the track for all to see.
The track starts with what feels like an unusually long run down to Turn 1 (with this long run forming a part of the unusually long start/finish straight), which should give the drivers plenty to think about as they're jostling for position into that first turn following the start of the race. Turn 1 and Turn 2 are known together as Preokret (Vojovitican for 'reversal'), and together form a difficult start to the race, with the opening lap of races often being fraught with danger and Rebecna is no different to this norm. Running off at Turn 1 can happen, but here there is a wide tarmac area which will allow drivers to rejoin the race. It is perhaps the most forgiving corner of the entire track, with the designers perhaps willing to give racers a chance given the long straight running into the corner. For the most part the remainder of the track doesn't have quite this same level of forgiveness.
Drivers will proceed to Turn 3 following Preokret and this can be important in positioning for the relatively straight section than follows. Some have described Turn 4 (Most Dolenec) and 5 as being 'barely there' and this is a relatively speedy section of the racetrack. It is worth bearing in mind that following Most Dolenec (this is actually an old bridge at Turn 4 that crosses a stream), the track runs slightly uphill and whilst it shouldn't present any major issues it is something that drivers will have to remember.
Turn 6 is a blind right-hander that runs into Turn 7 - known as Kukolja for a driver that inexplicably ended his race at the same exact spot three years in a row - which proceeds into the straight, downhill section of track that runs down to the series of turns (8, 9 and 10) known as Mačja Kolijevka (translates as 'Cat's Cradle'). This downhill section of track can be a useful spot for overtaking, with a heavy braking zone heading into Mačja Kolijevka helping somewhat too. Turns 8 through 11 are the most technical section of the entire racetrack and the tight walls of the stands that are almost right up against the track here give the spectators an excellent view of the action too. Turn 11 is known as Lakat ('elbow') and concludes this technical section.
Following Lakat, the drivers build-up speed into the final corner of the track: Turn 12, Parabolična. The section before Parabolična allows cars to build-up speed and it's an extremely fast final section, a good exit and slipstream can create an opportunity for passing in the start/finish straight, but it is also not an unusual sight to see two cars racing alongside each other through Parabolična following the high-speed straight prior to Turn 12. The pit lane runs on the inside after Parabolična. The final turn can be quite unforgiving due to the high-speed approach and speed through the corner too, the tight nature of the track against the walls of the stands running alongside can also mean that overcooking the corner can result in a crash.

The PRT17 livery has been drastically reworked from last season. Whereas the inaugural design was a purple over-developed montrosity, this year's offering has its sights firmly on simplicity, with the bold colours of the Polaris team speaking for themselves. Sponsorship has increased, too, with the previous sponsors all reapplying, plus some additional acquisitions: from the youth-oriented IceFoxx Energy drinks company to the high-value Fontaine Chronography watchmakers, the Polaris brand is spreading, and coupled with strong performances on the track, the brand will strive to emerge as the dominant force in motorsport, in both Nekoni and abroard.
The styling continues elsewhere, too. With more and more facets of design becoming bespoke to give a stronger impression of brand identity, Polaris Racing Team today also unveil their new corporate typeface, to be used with all Polaris branding commencing today:
