If so, than issue #619 wouldn't work for me, as I have said policy enabled. And yes, in Hurjaki any other belief is outlawed. Any differing opinion is punisheable by public beheading.

There are issues about different languages, I know, but this is basically about whether those local forms of speech count as languages for legal purposes which I think is new. I'll check, though. (My inspiration was memory of a story that appeared in a UK newspaper some years ago, about a Scouser who applied for a job somewhere in S.E. England and claimed racial discrimination when rejected by the potential employers due to their speech: maybe you're also remembering that incident, or a similar one?)Sanctaria wrote:Most countries have people from an area of that country with a particularly impenetrable accent, so that would be fine imo (though it sounds very familiar, make sure it hasn't been done before).
But if I use a completely invented name instead, mightn't even fewer people get the reference? 'Newpool', at least, seem a generic enough name to be plausible in many nations with people spotting the reference then as a potential bonus...I think Newpool or Livercastle would be out, though, as they're exclusively an English reference and while people in/from the UK and people in/from Ireland would get it, others wouldn't.

This question is too vague to really answer. As you point out, there's lots of issues about sports as entertainment.Kylarnatia wrote:Aside from #1139, are there any other issues that have the theme of wrestling and/or the line between sports and entertainment? I'm aware there are issues surrounding performance-enhancing drugs, gladiatorial/blood sports and then safety in boxing, but I've got ideas bubbling in my head for an issue (perhaps even a chain of issues) regarding wrestling culture and the ethics of the business.
#558 is about blindness. #422 is about amputees. #830 is about learning disabilities. #1148 is about (generic) disability benefits.Kylarnatia wrote:On a completely different note: aside from #659, are there any other disability-focused issues out there? As a disabled person I have one or two ideas for issues regarding disabled people and their rights, just want to know if anything else has already been covered beside access issues.

Do you mean to make an issue about how professional wrestling matches are fixed, and are more like live-action theater with scripted plots rather than genuine competitions? I don't think we have that yet.

Conservative commentators have remarked that many foreign immigrants in Bears Armed Broadcasting Corporation are failing to take part in, or even acknowledge, the country’s rich and varied culture, traditions, and social mores. This has caused some interethnic strife, and reports of violence in minority-dominated neighbourhoods have been increasing every day.
The Debate
1. “It’s disrespectful,” says Angela Merkel, serving traditional chromatic crow-shaped cookies on a tray. “These people talk funny, dress funny, pray to bizarre gods, and cook their smelly food. Food I’ve never seen on any LOCAL menu. Some of them don’t even speak our language very well! If at all! If immigrants want the privilege of living in this country then they should be made to adopt our own traditions! Otherwise our culture will slowly but surely disappear! If they refuse... well, then they can go back to their own country since they love it so much.”

...You know, it hadn't occurred to me that people would bother cheating at a game that's already fixed anyway. Is it just to look cool?Kylarnatia wrote:but there's also steroid use, injuries to both performers and fans who try to recreate it
