Bernhart Landau, owner of Landau & Wierzbowski Industries, one of the Polish companies contracted by the government to manufacture weapons, and the "victim" of a framing a year ago whereas his high rise appartment was found to be housing dozens of weapons and explosives, was arrested today along with 8 accomplices as he was caught by Polish Customs apparently smuggling 17.75 Million Aureus. (The official currency of the United Roman Triumvirate)
After supposedly turning down a handful bribe of 3 Million Złoty, customs at the Krall International Airport conducted a search on Landau's private plane, a Gulfstream G550, which was intended to fly to Rome. The Polish customs found supposedly counterfeit 17.75 Million Aureus bank notes and 9 Landau & Wierzbowski automatic assault rifles with removed serial numbers. The customs officials quickly called the police on the spot at 12 noon sharp.
"My team and I found an uncountable number of Aureus on different bags and briefcases on the plane, along with a few untraceable automatic weapons." Said the 49 year old inspector.
After the arrival of the police force, 8 men, were quickly subdued and arrested. The plane was once again searched thoroughly and found varying evidence which includes a confession from one of the arrested against Bernhart Landau. Police were dispatched to Landau's multi-million dollar mansion on the outskirts of Warsaw. Landau tried resisting arrest and supposedly bribing the police department, which he failed to do so.
"I had nothing to do with it! I was obviously framed by the government!" said Landau, as he was forcibly put into a police van.
Meanwhile, the bank notes were later sent for further testing and found that it was in fact "Blatantly counterfeit", according to Warsaw police.
