Almost makes you conclude that cold rationalism is a male characteristic, but the droves of angry young men absolutely consumed with animalistic rage manifesting themselves furiously on the internet tends to nullify that conclusion quite effectively.

And here we are just encouraging society's desire to represent themselves via statistics for data collection purposes to better advertise, understand and govern. You had to go and make it all seedy.

I always just assumed it was made by two well renowned psychologists without looking into it, but yesterday I learned it was some random woman and her mom who weren't psychologists at all. Apparently they took an idea from Carl Yung at a time when psychology wasn't yet grounded in science and he just guessed there were 8 personality types and then immediately said that was wrong because personality is fluid.

Also turns out the world of modern psychology absolutely detests the test.

I mean, thinking you can summarize the complexities and nuances of human personality in four letters should seem absurd when you think about it, especially considering they're all binary choices that don't allow for graduation.

Iirc most psychologists prefer the Big Five test, but I'd say more of them are against categorization of the human personality.
