Bone fractures are no joke when you're in your 80's. While yeah that alone won't kill her she pretty much has a foot in the grave at this point, she needs to retire and spend a couple years in peace.
Her job is sitting down and reading and thinking. If her broken ribs keep her from doing that, what relief will she find in retirement?
Her ribs will be just as broken for just as long whether she works or not, so why should she stop working?

I'm more concerned about the fact that many are practically encouraging her to cling onto the Supreme Judge position until her death like she's the Pope or something.
She's 85 and she's suffered a notable injury. At this point, instead of being a stubborn mule and eventually falling over dead in the Supreme Court, I'd retire in dignity and peace and spend the last few years with the family.
It's not even a matter of politics, it's a matter of reasoning.

Is she seriously going to pull a John McCain and go into the grave with hatred?
Truly dignity means nothing to political rabid dogs.

Wouldn't really have this problem if the sitting president showed an ounce of willingness to compromise and a modicum of respect for his opposition.
As it stands RBG is likely to be replaced by a foaming-at-the-mouth Rep partisan in a similar vein to Kav (maybe not the foaming bit). RBG knows this and, as I said, she's stubborn and tough and wouldn't want to see that happen.

Dignity is a woman making her own choice about her own life, and deciding when she's done rather than armchair doctors deciding for her.

Also, you're probably going to need more of an opinion in your opening post:
