In other words the NYC metro area votes and that of the Capital region, Rochester, Syracuse, and Buffalo should could less than someone in a rural county upstate?

it that case possibly. But we don't have literacy tests anymore as they were outlawed therefore your point is moot.
You still never answered my question on what you thought ought to be done when Newsom is declared victor and sworn into office in January

Okay, so why is it wrong for me to do what you admit you would do?

I don't know how you extrapolated that. I prefer urban voters to start caring for the rest of the state, as even Cynthia Nixon did.

"I care for everyone."
"But if the majority voters don't care why should he?"
It's not like ND actually advocated changing how votes mater in that post anyways. People can and do get voted out for neglecting minorities without such restructuring.

The governor represents all not just those who voted for him or her.

Nixon focused her campaign on the city and barely campaigned outside of it. He won his last election with the mentioned areas and probably will again and get some more counties he didn't win last time. how is he neglecting the rest of the state? I didn't know he was a dictator.

Nixon was right to condemn Cuomo in the debate for talking more about Trump than upstate NY. I expect Molinaro to perform better upstate than Astorino did.Uiiop wrote:"I care for everyone."

"Shit on the people and what they want and what they're ready for. I don't give a goddamn about the people and what they want. This is the face of someone who has fought long and hard for the good of the people without caring much for any of 'em. And now I look a lot worse without my wig." -Thaddeus Stevens (Lincoln, 2012)

Give and example? You could use the same example in many municipal or county elections thus year. Louisville, Austin and Providence are some of the the most well known places electing their mayors and city council this year. Does the winning candidate not represent those who didn't vote for them?

But given your own complaints that ain't reality.
I mean do these shitty voter laws even practically affect the majority of voters in your state negatively?
It doesnt effect enough to effect the outcome of elections. Most I encounter seem to be well aware of them as the Board of Elections makes sure people are informed of the law.
