Tuesday 9 October

Group A | Steelbaron v Greythrone
========================================================================================================
Fogington Stadium: Greythrone head coach, Benson Troy took several questions about the next game from local newspapers. He was asked how Greythrone prepare for the game, and his response was, "I am confident as long as we stick to our game plan." Roy Nollingson and Benson Tillerwood will definitely miss through injury although there are no further injury worries to report at this stage. There is some good news however with Ryan Goldfloss reported fit to play after shaking off a recent injury. Ryan Goldfloss has revealed that Greythrone is poised they can do fine against Steelbaron today. Wexaston Lake FC winger told local pressmen that he felt confident in the Greythrone camp was great and he trusted they could contribute the country something to joyfulness about by winning in style.

Even on prediction said Greythrone will not facing a difficult job for the game versus Steelbaron but their head coach still thinking that The Steelbaron one of a strong opponent. They beat SEU 1-0 in the previous match and give a Tolol hard game before concede 0-2. Most of Steelbaron player was playing in Khantarian League and known this ground very well.

Troy still believe in 4-3-3 when his team to face Steelbaron which regularly played with 4-2-1-3 which mean they have two holding midfielder for more cover up to their defender. Tyrell Daulton and Anton Fussner was a hell of good DMC in Khantarian League. They will make Greythrone trio striker more difficult to penetrate opposition backyard.

ERAMAN IS BOTTOM OF GROUP B AFTER 2 MATCHES

Oldenhurst, Khantari - Eraman fell to another defeat this time at the hand of Group B leader, Wuriya in the 2nd Malay World Cup. The match in Ironchurch Mines Stadium saw Wuriya scored a goal in each half to beat Eraman 2-0. Wuriya who defeated Tahkalen 4-0 in their first match at the very same stadium continued their momentum with midfielders Imam Saleh, Rizki Fauzi and striker Elang Hasbi particularly in the form of their life.

Both teams started the game in a similar formation, 4-3-3. However, it was apparent from the very first whistle that Wuriya is going to dominate the game. Eraman were outplayed by the technical abilities of Wuriyan midfielders, Imam Saleh and Rizki Fauzi. Wuriya found the breakthrough in the half hour mark through Elang Hasbi who dribbled past Cicak Kudung down the right flank before firing a shot from the edge of the box to make it 1-0.

The second half started in similar fashion as Eraman fail to come up with a plan to stop Imam Saleh and Rizki Fauzi domination in the midfield. Eraman were forced to sit deep in their own half and was finally punished by Wuriya in the 77th minute. The acceleration of Elang Hasbi is simply to fast to be handled by the tired legs of Eraman defenders as he ran on the right flank to beat 3 defenders before getting one-on-one with Eraman goalkeeper to slot in the ball into the back of the net coolly.

The last 10 minutes saw temper starts to flare. Hard tackles started to fly in as Eraman players could not hide their frustration. Yellow cards were shown to Putra Daulapura Suara Petala, Rimau Belang and Mino Bosa for tackles on Imam Saleh and Rizki Fauzi. Wuriya who are happy to see of the match with a 2-goal lead started to slower down the tempo of the game to avoid any injuries to their players.

The win saw Wuriya top the Group B table with maximum points after 2 games and are yet to concede a single goal. Eraman on the other end are yet to clinch a single point and sit at the bottom of the table. Wuriya will be up against Samudera Darussalam in their third game while Eraman will be up against Sandhora.

Reed need more goal and winning passion...

After two games, with one win and one draw, and stay in the second place of Group A, Head Coach, Richard Reed still doesn't satisfied. As a host, they should be in the top of the group, armed with a full local supporter in every game in every arena. Reed instructs all his players to concentrate and make sure they can beat Tolol for a second win. Reed feels their strike force not good enough with only four goals. He personally urged Robb Honeyworth and James Fijalkowski to scorer more goal and make it a goal fiesta in Xavam Stadium.

They know Tolol is a good team, they beat Steelbaron in their first game, and manage to score three to Greythrone, although they lose 3-6, they prove they could score more in the one game. After resting Honeyworth and Fijalkowski in the second game, they will able to field them today and with full energies and stamina.

Khantari fan eager to see them win and be as a group leader, they wishing more goal in every game and with a terrific game plan, Khantarian hate boring games. Some were said a winning but a boring game is equal to a losing game. Fan want them to play as beautiful as possible with the short and accurate pass, a speedful winger and a precision striker. They want a midfielder who played superbly and looked really comfortable on the ball and dominance in the air, they need anything and they need passion in all the teams.

GREYTHRONE OUTCLASSED BY STEELBARON

There were surprises at Fogington Stadium as a far greater Greythrone lost to Steelbaron by a resounding 0-3. A goal from Olin Fletcher, Bobby Cass, and Gil Lindenberger assisted Steelbaron to victory. Winger Fletcher gave Steelbaron the lead with the close-range finish in the 27th minute. Steelbaron adding the misfortune to Greythrone with the second goal by Bobby Cass and after half-time, Gil Lindenberger completes a doom-night for Greythrone with the third goal.

A display of attacking football saw Lindenberger pick up the man of the match award during Steelbaron thrashing 3-0 2nd MWC winning against Greythrone this night. The striker's notable work rate was in part down to the hazard he caused on occasion to the opposition's defense when he ran at them with the ball. Speak to the National Team News, head coach, Benson Troy said he will take the responsibility for this humiliating defeats, he also mention to do a full post-mortem before a fourth game facing SEU.

At last, we are able to beat SEU 1-0 and achieve our first winning in 2nd MWC competition. Thank you to Jamali Muhammad goal in 26 minutes and our invincible defender who in solid defend against SEU mighty striker's. The SEU almost leveled when their winger boosted a shot over Rahman Al Furqan, only to be denied by a last-minute clearance from Muhamad Mokhtar Dahari on the line. Pauh Janggi now at the fourth place in Group A with one win, one draw and one loss. Not bad for a beginner like The Tempest. Pauh Janggi team can be proud of after three games, they only let's three goals.

Next, they will be facing Tolol in fourth games. Head coach Firdaus Wan Yahya will certainly want his team another winning to make sure they can be qualified to the second round or semis. Good luck The Tempest
