How does one get a police state? It’s not autocracy because that bonus is different, in that you don’t need to violently shut down protests; they just don’t happen.

The mechanics aren't extremely clear on that, but I would assume it is either a combination of values/social policies, or "Police State" is mislabeled.

If it requires literally anything, I’ll probably just give my doctor the year off and start a rebellion. It’ll suck, but it’s better than a strike.

What do you mean exactly by 'country/western style'?
Federal Style
International Style
American Ranch Style
American Craftsmen Style
I'm sure there is more.

My take of 'country/western style' would be a type of Utilitarian style.
Depending on the desired style, you could RP that in place of the 'official' ones.
(For example, International Style could be under Brutalist, or Victorian under Gothic)

Definitely American Ranch style.

Probably Autocratic government with Militarist Economy. Your workers can stop riots just by their own presence!

Apologies for not getting an IC post up in the first section of the RP. I took my first post down because of clarifications in game mechanics that I wasn't aware of, and I just couldn't find the time to write up another draft.

Certain things have happened in real life that makes it difficult for me to just put down a couple hours to write.

You don't have to crank out 5 turns in a single post. You also don't have to write epics if you don't feel like it.

Just look at apple's posts, such a length would quite suffice.
