Name: RNC Coralier (AC-01)
Type: Heavy Cruiser
Class: Coralier-class heavy cruiser
Role: Destroyer Hunter, Fleet Escort, and Cruiser Hunter
Nation of origin: Rynagria
Year commissioned: 1934
Image or description of the ship girl/boy:

Gender: Female
Character: A playful and high-spirited girl, she is among the friendliest people one can meet, most of the time smiling. That smile tends not to leave her face for anything, whether it be in the face of danger or being a tragedy, that smile never leaves. Eager to experience as much as she can, she looks forward to all things that occur to her. In the end, it is to cover up her insecurities of being found useless by those working with her.
Special abilities: Purpose-built for taking on destroyers, ammunition expenditure and accuracy increases by 20% in the presence of an enemy destroyer.
Technical Description of the vessel:
Commissioned in 1934, the Coralier-class heavy cruiser was the first modern ship design to be built and placed into service by the Rynagrian Navy. One of the few non-foreign designs adopted by the navy, it was celebrated by many after its first public voyage in 1935. Designated RNC Coralier, she became the flagship for the only dedicated Destroyer Hunter fleet in 1936. Despite the lack of conflict in the region, the DH fleet continued to patrol the Rynagrian Seas without trouble until 1939 when a declaration of support for Italy and Germany’s fascist regime was learned from one of the nations in the region. Taking precaution, due to the observed aggressive nature of the European powers, the DH fleet was relegated to Merchant fleet escorts that routinely travelling through potentially hostile waters for their increase in firepower and mobility. This duty would extend to the Merchant Marines after Rynagria officially joined the Second World War in December 1941 and would continue to do so until 1944, with primarily a lackluster record along with its three other sisters.

War coming close to an end, it seemed that the Coralier-class would not see until combat, with the occasional strafing run by hostile aircraft through the European waters. However, as the situation in Europe became more in favor Allies, the Coralier-class heavy cruisers were called back to Rynagria. In preparation for reinforcing the desperate situation the Rynagrian military found itself in, RNC Coralier, Faranak, Killeen, and Brian were outfitted with naval radar to increase their effectiveness against other ships and planes. Afterwards, the four of them were sent to fulfill their purpose and would see some of the fiercest naval battles in the Rynagrian military history. By the end of war, RNC Coralier had personally destroyed three enemy destroyers, assisted in the sinking of a Arhimenstein Deutschland-class heavy cruiser, shot down twelve torpedo bombers, and an assortment of other vehicles. Making her the most successful cruiser in the Rynagrian Navy of WWII.

Despite this, the Coralier nearing complete obsoletion, was not upgraded any further unlike her sisters, and was instead relegated to patrolling merchant routes until she was decommissioned. Eventually the RNV Coralier was decommissioned in 1959, where she was transformed into a museum to commemorate the lives lost in the naval actions from the Second World War. Up to the present day, the museum is still open for those who wants to visit.

(Name): HLFFS Baylee ("Holtland Folksripen Fleetship - Baylee"; aka "Kraician Democratic Naval Vessel - Bailey")
(Type): Bentlee-Class Destroyer
(Class): Destroyer
(Role): Coastal Defense, Anti-Submarine Warfare, Fleet Escort, Minesweeping, Minelaying, and Anti-Air Capabilities
(Nation of Origin): Kraicia
(Year Commissioned): 1936
(Image or description of the ship girl/boy):
Image

(Gender): Female
(Character): As a native of the Kraician archipelago, Baylee is a slightly pale-skinned pre-teen girl, standing at no more than 152cm tall, and retaining short blonde hair and dark blue eyes. The temperate Atlantic climate of the Kraician archipelago has toughened Baylee (as well as her other sister ships) against the extreme cold, which has given her a quiet liking to the cold and snow; however, the extreme cold had additionally made her a wary to the point of restlessness until someone else is keeping watch nearby. Aside from this trait shared among her class, Baylee is a watchful, no nonsense, yet cautious destroyer who would seek confidence in the safety of collective teamwork.
(Special abilities): Visual awareness is heightened by 50% when alone; however, this ability is subsequently neutralised if Baylee was in a group. Plus, as a diesel-driven ship, Baylee has extraordinary long range and endurance for a ship her size and class; being that she was designed to accommodate for the limited fuel supply imposed by the German naval blockades during World War Two.
(Technical Description of the vessel): The workhorse of the Kraician Surface Fleet, Baylee is the third ship of her class out of fourteen others. Working alongside the only other vessels in the Kraician naval arsenal - the Kraician Submarine Fleet and the Kraician Cruiser Fleet - during the Second World War, the Bentlee-Class Destroyer was designed with a balance of quality and quantity, reliability, and versatility in mind to counteract enemy submarines and aircraft alike. While not as sophisticated like its Allied and German counterparts, Baylee - including her other sister ships of her class - was spacious enough to be powered by three diesel engines, which were fuel-efficient and reliable enough to allow the Bentlee-Class Destroyers to endure the harsh Atlantic cold for days or even weeks without refueling. Furthermore, similar to the Finnish coastal defense ships, Väinämöinen and Ilmarinen, the Bentlee-Class Destroyer's fire control centre and gun towers are connected electronically, and relied on the aid of mechanical calculators (comptometer type) for range and location; however, in the case of a power outage, small hand-crank generators were used to provide temporary electric current. Plus, every Bentlee-Class Destroyer had an on-board radio set with their own emergency hand-crank generators to allow for two-way communication even if the vessel were to suffer a power outage.

Like mentioned earlier, a Japanese DD would suit you best. The 24 inch torpedoes they carry are an absolute slap to any enemy that is struck by them. The guns are lackluster, making them more of a long range ship.

Yeah because holy nobs the Japanese hair slapped some serious torpedo tubes on darn near every destroyer class in their fleet! I'll look into which ones have decent speed, defense, and radar and re skin it with Dancerian aesthetics and history of sinking commies and keeping the peace.

My Destroyer in mind (HLFFS Baylee) is designed for anti-submarine warfare, anti-air capabilities, and light coastal defense. You'll find no torpedoes on that ship at all. She'll see you before proceeding to pepper you with 57mm shells (if you're a submarine, airplane, or another destroyer).

P.S. I don't reckon the 57mm shells would inflict any harm to ships larger than a destroyer. More or likely, the 57mm shells would rather annoy the hell out of larger ships. It be like shooting a bear with a BB machine gun.

I honestly think if you can increase the volume of fire by a certain factor, any caliber that's 3 inch or above can be effective vs any ship.

Well, the twin 57mm automatic cannons on the Bentlee-Class Destroyers are clip-fed, and the cannons were originally used by the Kraician Navy to quickly sink submarines, and shoot down aircraft (especially large aircraft like the German Fw-200 Condor). Plus, if the ship is close enough to the coast, the 57mm cannons can also act as light coastal bombardment guns; laying down hailstorms of 57mm shells at enemy fortifications and vehicles within a maximum effective range of one (1) or two (2) miles. As an analogy, imagine the typical weaponry of a 'destroyer' shipgirl wielding large calibre pistols (e.g. S&W 500 = 5in/6in guns), while the Bentlee-Class Destroyers are wielding small calibre machine pistols (e.g. MAC-10s = 57mm Automatic Cannons).

(Bentlee-Class Destroyer Pros and Cons):
(+) Effective Anti-Air Defences
(+) Effective Anti-Submarine Capbilities
(+) Long Range and High Endurance
(-) No Armour
(-) Below Average Ship-to-Ship Capabilities
(-) No Hard-Hitting Weaponry
I’m the Republic of Kraicia, a theocratic Caucasus-based country. I also roleplay as Kraicia, an equally theocratic, albeit Future Tech, nation. I do not represent the Orthodox Church or any form of Caucasus nationalism.

(Name): HLFFS Baylee ("Holtland Folksripen Fleetship - Baylee"; aka "Kraician Democratic Naval Vessel - Bailey")
(Type): Bentlee-Class Destroyer
(Class): Destroyer
(Role): Coastal Defense, Anti-Submarine Warfare, Fleet Escort, Minesweeping, Minelaying, and Anti-Air Capabilities
(Nation of Origin): Kraicia
(Year Commissioned): 1936
(Image or description of the ship girl/boy):

Please go over the rules-spoiler once again, concerning the second question of the OOC-section.
And then, there's the issue of the RP-sample... I must admit, that I looked a bit through your posts and your app here and your posts on this OOC so far were impressive. I know, that I said "No exceptions" and I will stand by that, but with the rests of the current participants willing, I would accept your app mentioned as your RP-sample. Those amongst you, who want to object, please speak up now or remain silent forever.
I play PT, MT and a bit FT. I am into character-RPs.

P.S. Whenever I created a new app for any roleplay I came upon, I interpret any section reading, "RP Sample", as in referring to a post on an IC. I haven't entirely participated in any roleplay just yet; however, I'm on my way to getting a first post in whatever roleplay I start first. And as in regard to my previous app from the roleplay, "The Final Frontier", I thank you for your compliments; however, that app is still under construction. I've been meaning to get to it and finish up the history section, and I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that no one tells me to hurry up.
I’m the Republic of Kraicia, a theocratic Caucasus-based country. I also roleplay as Kraicia, an equally theocratic, albeit Future Tech, nation. I do not represent the Orthodox Church or any form of Caucasus nationalism.

No problem. I must admit, that I skipped over your TFF-app, but what I read sounded very good. You are correct, it actually is meant as IC-posts on an RP's IC-thread, which shows, how you interact with other players, but I did ask for the other players' opinions due to that indeed being a huge grey zone in the way it's put in the rules-spoiler - Spirit of the Law and Letter of the Law, to put it like Shakespeare did. Please keep in mind, that this is an exception due to you being new and that it's pending any objections from the other current participants.

Also, today is the big day - IC-day!
EDIT: Just a quick note, those of you, who were already accepted and are on the dorm list on the notice board by the start of the IC, you've been there for a while now, so we can skip introductions until new lads and lassies arrive (read: are accepted).

Personell file - Operational Sector Wide Sea - South West

Name: Kraken
Type: Anti-Kaiju sub (Now an outdated model ever since relations warmed up with aisa)
Class: Shadow class sub
Role: Intercepting and taking out kaiju
Nation of origin: Mechanikopolian empire
Year commissioned: 1901
Image or description of the ship girl/boy: Pretty much looks like a normal 16 year old boy, if he didn't have the namesake Kraken fighting arms on his back. (Mechanical 3-jointed clawed arms)
Gender: male
Character: Military personality, will often win any arm wrestling match, always looks for weak points in an enemy's defense.
Special abilities: Can climb with the Kraken arms
Technical Description of the vessel: The MNS Kraken was underway in construction in 1874 and finished in 1901. He was deployed to the Indian Ocean Outpost (IOO) to patrol for Kaiju. At his prime, he struck fear into the hearts of Shogunate sailors, those who went into skirmishes against him often lost their ship's companion Kaiju. However, as Asian Kaiju got larger and stronger, he was in need of a refit. so he was refit with increased length, torpedoes, and an additional two arms (Giving him four arms.). This continued on until he reached his last refit, which gave him six arms, two torpedo launchers, and the AA guns. Why, you ask, was that his last refit? Well, the Asian economy entered a slump and they turned to Mechanikopolia for aid, and when the empire did, the shogunate became a close ally. Thus leading to the retirement of the model.
Technical Data
Displacement: 1000 tonnes (?)
Length : .5 kilometers
Width: 300 meters
Draught: when on the surface it is normally 10-20 meters
Propulsion: two screw driven propellors
Speed: approx. 12 knots
Complement: 30 sailors (5 cooks, 10 sailors, 4 torpedo loaders, 1 helmsman, 1 periscope man, 4 gunners, 3 medics, and two engineers)
Armament: if surfaced he can have 4 20mm AA batteries mounted. 20 torpedoes (ten for each launcher) two torp launchers.
Armour: 3 inches of steel plating
Notes:
Commisioned in 1901, Kraken was the first Anti-Kaiju sub.

OOC-section:
RP-sample: here ya go
Have you read and understood the rules? Anchors Aweigh!!!!1!!

Kraicia... I'm very sorry, but I completely forgot to include you into the patrol schedule (and the dorm plan, for that matter), hence why the Week Special Volunteer Plan looks so alluring to you. Sorry to the other destroyers as well...
Would anyone mind, if I were to retcon Baylee into the Quick Response Reserves for that week?
Looks good so far, though.

Please explain, what an anti-Kaiju Submarine is, what it does and its Daddy is. And what it needs arms for.

OKAY, WHAT.
SUBMARINE COMMISSIONED 1901
IT'S 500 METERS LONG AND 300 WIDE
ITS WIDER THAN A YAMATO IS LONG
AND IT WEIGHS
1000 TONS

Onto my rant.
This thing is literally impossible. The dimensions are much too large to be an UNDERWATER vessel.
With its current dimensions, it probably would weigh more than Catherine.
Going by the largest submarine ever built for WW2, the thing would be 150 x 15 meters at most. Maybe a draft of around 9 meters.
But no way this.
It can't even move if you expect it to only have 2 shafts.

I was getting there. One thing after the other, please.
(That still doesn't ask, how this submarine has two torp-tubes with ten reloads to apparently kill kaiju and not, say, six tubes with three reloads. Or how 20 people can operate that thing. But one thing after the other, please.)
