Name: James "Jimmy" Ward
Age:14
Sex:Male
Appearance:http://media.npr.org/programs/morning/features/2006/may/mexico_migration/carreno200-5d04f8fe6ff44baa84cd48d96a36316e4bbdf03b-s6-c30.jpg
Personality: Jimmy is energetic, on the verge of hyperactive. He has a desperate need to impress, and a fear of meaningful emotional relationships. He also has a severe case of mythomania, where he lies for seemingly no reason. This may include self-aggrandizing stories, making up where he was during class, or even sharing the intimate details of an event that never occur, or he was not present for. He is also nearly kleptomaniacal, known for stealing from stores regularly.
Bio:
Jimmy was born to an alcoholic mother and a never-present father. Needless to say, he didn't get much supervision as a child, and as a result got himself into all sorts of trouble trying to get any attention from an otherwise distant mother. What's worse is that his mother seemed to even pay less attention to him as the years went on, slipping into further depression and alcoholism. His interest in magic and development of his mythomania partially comes from that need to impress a mother that barely ever acknowledge his existence. Perhaps his mother wasn't in a state to question the boy's tales, or perhaps she didn't care to question him further, but his mother usually met his lies with a "Good boy, James." and nothing more at all.

His grades in school abysmal, but each teacher passes him along, because they cannot stand the thought of having to deal with him for another year. His ability to make friends is next to none, because he can't tell people how he feels or relate to them directly, since he never had that interaction from his family. He has become the target of bullying, because his magic is seen as lame parlor tricks for little kids.

Needless to say, eventually his mother found the wrong side of the pavement, and his nearby uncle Tom agreed to take care of him. His uncle, only a youth himself at 23, is unsure of what to actually do with Jimmy, and doesn't always catch on to the boy's tales as of yet. He spends most of his days working at the nearby lumberyard while Jimmy is supposed to be attending class.
Strengths:
-Jimmy is great at forging signatures. Like unbelievably good
-Magic. Years and years of work at illusions have paid off. This includes distractions of many different kinds.
-Imaginative. Creative. Witty
Weaknesses:
-Weak communication skills. Jimmy can't communicate or connect truthfully with people.
-Short attention span. Jimmy can't concentrate for his life. He constantly fiddles with small toys or something, and can't stand being still for too long. This also severely hampers Jimmy's ability to learn.
Quirks: He has a noticeable twitch in his neck when in emotional distress, or while conducting a particularly grand lie.
Worst Fears:
-His father coming home, but being ordinary or even malicious
-Snakes are generally considered scary by most, but for whatever reason, Jimmy particularly has a fear of them.
-Being cut off from everyone emotionally forever, like he is now
*Likes: Illusions, running, biking, being active, video games, violent action films
*Dislikes: Authority figures, being alone, being caught in a lie, lying, class, reading

Few issues. First off, the bio is supposed to be two paragraphs. You have five sentences. Secondly, your personality leaves a bit to be desired, as does the appearance. Also, his strength is that he notices things on almost a Sherlock Holmes level? That's a bit... insane. His weaknesses and strengths are a bit... small.

Tourma wrote:Name: Destiny Rogue

Bio needs to be two paragraphs, or five sentences each. Also the name? It's not a very... common name, especially for someone in 1992 Kansas. Also, a thermos of boiling water is ABSOLUTELY very dangerous. That's borderline homicidal. Also, a 14 year old with this sabotage-for-hire business? With a NO murder/kidnapping policy? What? Why would she even need to specify something like that? I don't really like the special snowflake aspect of the character. These kids are supposed to be normal. Not complete and total social outcasts, more so inbetweeners. Also, her two weaknesses aren't really much of weaknesses.

Forest State wrote:Name: Jeremy Parks

First off, that picture dude. Uh, no. "Not exactly the easiest to get along with. Jeremy is pretty chill" These contradict each other. If he doesn't have regard for societal standards and social norms, then he isn't exactly chill. The bio is good. I don't have much of a problem there. Also his fear? Uh, no. Find something else.

Valentine Z wrote:Name: Samantha “Radiance” Hoshiko

Her nickname is "Radiance"? That won't stick at all. Also, they seem to be from Japan for really no reason. Then, they move to Kansas, and they get jobs in Denver and St. Louis? What? There's plenty of work in Kansas. Fears could be worked on a bit, as they're pretty generic. Other than that, I like the app. Just put a few more fears in and you'll be accepted.

Name: Jocelyn and Jason Murtaugh
Age: 16
Sex: Female and Male respectively.
Appearance:
Jocelyn: Jocelyn is what people would call an early bloomer, or simply jailbait. Standing at 5'8 and a little over 110 pounds, Jocelyn is abnormally well developed for a teen. This has lead to multiple events in which uncomfortable insinuations have been displayed or attempted.
Jason: Jason is, like his twin, abnormally old appearing for his age, at 5'7 and nearing 120 pounds, Jason also has a decent amount of facial hair, though the lack of much growth outside of his neck indicates how old he actually is. Otherwise his rather lanky frame isn't much to look at.
Personality: The twins are comparatively similar in most of their demeanor. Both are generally positive people, and both will defend the other when push comes to shove, either physically or verbally.

However they also part in their personality as expected, Jason is not much of an animal person, whereas Jocelyn is quite fond of any sort of animal, from cows to rodents, she's quite averse to harming any sort of animal sans the more annoying insects.

Jason also parts from his sister, being much more sarcastic and confrontational than his sister, more often than not engaging in verbal assault rather than just backing down. Jason also happens to be a bit more grim, making threats of violence, though rarely actually following through with them.

Bio: Jocelyn and Jason were born to a US Navy Corpsman and a school teacher on March 9th, 1976. They're family life was as normal as one could be with a Vietnam veteran in the household. While their father was deeply affected by his service in Vietnam, he wasn't one to let his experiences get in the way of his family's life. The twins always had their father to turn to for help in life experiences, or simple help in learning a number of things that he himself learned.

Their mother was always there for the academic and softer needs of the twins. Acting as the kind and smiling mother that most family's expect, but despite her softness, her wrath wasn't one they wanted inflicted upon them. Needless to say, the Twin's early childhood was as normal as could be for the 80s.

It wasn't until their teen years when they finally started noticing a change in their behavior to one another, they started becoming closer than one would expect, spending an abnormal amount of time together, though it was summed up as the two being twins and having an in built connection. Some suspected something more intimate between the two. Though the latter has yet to gain any evidence.

Nowadays the duo are just grinding through school, just waiting for things to pass and for their lives to move into adulthood.

Strengths:
Jocelyn: Knows quite a bit about biology, a rampant optimist, physically active.
Jason: He knows the combo to his dad's gun safe, physically active.
Weaknesses:
Jocelyn: Easy to startle, meek.
Jason: Abnormally aggressive, stubborn.
Quirks: They're closer than should be normal for twins.
Worst Fears:
Jocelyn: The Pope, McDonald's Fillet o' Fish.
Jason: Snakes, Nuns.
*Likes:
Jocelyn: Warhammer 40k, Animals, Comic Books, Guns.
Jason: Warhammer 40k, DnD, Lord of the Rings, Guns.
*Dislikes:
Jocelyn: Football, Bullies.
Jason: Nuns, Mathematics.
*Miscellaneous (anything else you’d like to add):

Alright, here's my app. I just hope all the spots haven't filled up before I posted it!

Name: Adrien Clark

Age: 14

Sex: Male

Appearance:
Image

He's shorter than most people his age, only standing at about 5 ft 2.

Personality:
Adrien is excitable, blunt, and aggressive. While not so much actually cruel or mean, he is the kind of kid who loves fighting, as its one of the only times he feels alive. He is also easy to provoke, except in the rare moments where things actually get serious enough for him to calm himself down.

He is also rather reckless, often jumping headfirst into dangerous situations with a stupid grin on his face, and is rarely scared of things he really should be. However, like being provoked, if things seem serious enough, he can prove to be rather observant and cautious.

Finally, due to his utter lack of friends, he's pretty lonely. However, for the people who do treat him well like his uncle, he is extremely loyal and protective. It's just that his personality has made it all but impossible for him to get that far.

Bio:
Ever since he was three, Adrien has lived in this town with his only known living relative, Joseph Clark. His parents were killed in a car crash around that time, and due to the government being unable to find any other relatives, he was reluctantly handed over to the man. The reason the government was so reluctant to give him to his uncle was his obsession with martial arts, and while generally friendly, extremely rough personality.

As it turns out, the government was probably right to be wary, as Adrien's personality ended up replicating his uncles to a T. They often spent their time either relaxing, eating, or 'sparring', the last of which tended to cause significant property damage to Josephs house. However, being something of a handyman, Joseph was generally able to repair any real damage.

Despite the bond that formed between the two over the years, Joseph never really grew into the position of a parent. Instead, they seemed more like a teacher and a student, or perhaps a pair of siblings. However, one parent-like moment was Josephs adamance that Adrien attend school, to try and grow up somewhat normally and make friends his age.

Unfortunately, things didn't work out quite as well as they'd hoped. At school, Adrien's blunt, excitable behaviour ended up scaring and upsetting other children, and he often ended up getting into fights. The fact that he usually won fairly easily just made things worse. Before too long, the other kids began to think of him as a bully, a theory which spread across the whole town when one of his fights ended with a pair of badly broken legs for the one who attacked him.

Now he spends his school days alone, and it seems like his only friend in the entire town is his uncle, who is also somewhat looked down on due to his relationship with Adrien.

All he wants now is to learn how to make a friend, and to try and prevent people from looking down on his uncle because of him.

Strengths:
He is an extremely capable fighter, knowing a couple of kinds of martial arts and being strong and agile enough to use them. He's not a master or anything, but he's good enough to beat most highschoolers easily enough. Surprisingly observant when he's serious

Weaknesses:
Academically inept to the point where basic multiplication will give him a headache. His social skills are practically non-existant, and he has the startling skill of finding the worst possible way to say things.
He is also easy to provoke, particularly if people mention his height or eyebrows.

Quirks:
Generally wears a stupid smile even when he's upset, although only his uncle, or anyone else who sees him truly happy would be able to tell that its fake. He also occasionally tries to use big words to sound smarter, and butchering them. When he gets depressed, he cooks to take his mind off it. Finally, he's kind of subconscious about his eyebrows, realising they're fricking massive. However, he's too lazy to do anything about it, knowing they'll just grow back if he does from experience. The same applies to his height.

Worst Fears:
That he'll live his entire life alone, or anything that threatens his uncle. Also getting in cars, due to faint leftover memories from his parents death.

*Likes: Fighting, training, eating, cooking, sleeping, his uncle.

*Dislikes:
The fact that most people see him as a bully at best, or an animal at worst, actual bullies, people who hurt the ones they should protect the most.

*Miscellaneous: Because he cooks whenever he's depressed, and depression is pretty common for him, he has become quite a good cook.

RP Examples:
Leide lurched forwards, eyes widening momentarily, as the blade in Wraths hands sunk into his stomach.

This... This hurt quite badly.

Thankfully however, the very woman who was making Wrath do it would later go on to make sure she taught Leide to think on his feet, and have the magical arsenal he'd need to survive a great many terrible situations.

In fact, it was almost like she'd seen him being stabbed by a girl who was currently under the control of a far more powerful mage in a seaside city coming...

Funny that...

Anyway, it was because of these teachings that Leide managed to keep calm even as the blade remained in his belly, immediately slamming the bottom of his staff into the ground before spinning it around him, chanting in what seemed to be a mishmash of several different languages the entire time. As he did this, the sea behind him shifted and warped around him and Wrath at an astounding rate, spiralling far into the sky. Once it reached a certain height, more spirals began to branch out from the central one, which then split off into multiple more branches, each one tapering to a point with a magic circle forming at the tips.

Once the water had reached its point, towering high enough to be seen from the ground on the other side of the city walls, Leide hit the bottom of his staff to the ground again, causing the entire structure to freeze near instantly. Only then was it clear what it was.

The entire structure looked like a colossal tree of ice, towering into the heavens. Around the outside of the tree, a magical barrier was in place, various strings of astral runic text seemingly floating across the exterior.

Inside the hollow center of the trees trunk, however, Leide was on the verge of collapsing, from both physical and mana exhaustion. He was barely keeping his eyes open, he'd used so much energy. But, that would have to wait. He still had a promise to keep, after all, and by the gods, he was going to do it!

Using his staff to help support his weight, he hobbled over to Wrath, who had been pulled away to the edges of the hollow trunk by part of the spell, pulling the dagger out in the process. Letting out a wheezy chant through gritted teeth, he performed a similar spell to the one he'd cast on her shoulder wound, except instead of using seawater, this merely caused the blood in the wound to glow green, flowing through his body as if it was still within the veins as it slowly healed. However, before the wound could start closing, he dabbed his index and middle fingers into it, getting his blood on them.

He finally reached Wrath, whom he had temporarily immobilised by trapping her hands within the icy wall of the trunk, he brushed his bloody fingers on her forehead, drawing a crude circular sigil with his blood. He then repeated the action, drawing a similar sigil on her collarbone, and after freeing her hands from the ice, drew two more sigils on the backs of her hands, which were almost identical except for the fact that they were inverted from each other.

Once he finished the sigils, he performed an odd gesture with his hands and spoke, audibly exhausted.

Oh hands of fate, free this child from the strings of her possessors. You, the guardians of freedom, protect her, and ensure that her will is her own. Bring the reins of fate back into the hands of man. Valshin Shaddai Ber Occuria.

As he finished speaking, the sigils glowed, before fading to a duller, fainter image. Then he freed her from the ice wall properly, before promptly collapsing against it.

"As long as those sigils are on your body..." He said, clearly straining to simply remain awake. "Control over your body will remain your own. If another tries to take over your body again, simply speak the trigger phrase I chanted at the end of my spell, and they will help drive out the possessing entity..."

He looked over to the girl, his eyes beginning to droop shut.

"You should get out of here as soon as you can. Get your brother and escape. I don't know if I'm gonna make it out, if I'm being honest, but at least this way, I'll have kept my promise to you..."

He rested his head against the cool ice, his eyes barely open now.

"Heh, bring the reins of fate back into the hands of man... To think the person who taught me that in the first place was the one I was meant to use it against in the first place... Now I'm probably not even gonna see you again to ask about it, huh Teach? Gods, I'm really tired..."

However, just before his eyes closed properly, he turned his head with a grunt of effort, looking up to Wrath.

"Hey, I know you didn't want to tell me before, what with me being a coward and all, but this time it might be my last request... Do you reckon you could just humour me a little, right in the end?"

He sighed, almost sliding down the wall to the ground, before catching himself. However, despite his calm tone, there was no hiding the tears that were beginning to fall from his face.

"What..." He begun. "What's your name, Wrath? Your real name. Next time I meet you, if there even is a next time, I want to call you by the name you like, rather than a title the real you hates... And if there... If there isn't a next time... Well, then at least I'll have a fond memory to hold onto from one of my friends when I go..."

Sure. I'm not entirely sure what the average height for a fifteen year old boy is, but the website I looked at says 5 ft 7, so I'll just go with 5 ft 2. And for the martial arts thing, I could lower the number he's proficient in for sure, but the whole thing was that, well, martial arts are his thing. It's his passion, and he dedicated most of his spare time to learning them. Also I'm having trouble finding some new good fears for the personality I made for him, so if you have anything, please let me know. I'm gonna be somewhere with questionable Internet access tomorrow, and I'll be there for the next four days, so I want to get the app done today, you know?

Oh, actually I think I've come up with one. I'll say he's scared of being in cars, because he still has some traces of memories from the car crash where his parents died.

I don't have time to edit the actual app right now, but is that fine?

That's fine. Just cut down on the martial arts a little bit, and that'll be good.
I don't know what I'm s'posed to do.

Kentucky Fried Land wrote:Her nickname is "Radiance"? That won't stick at all. Also, they seem to be from Japan for really no reason. Then, they move to Kansas, and they get jobs in Denver and St. Louis? What? There's plenty of work in Kansas. Fears could be worked on a bit, as they're pretty generic. Other than that, I like the app. Just put a few more fears in and you'll be accepted.

It's kind of random that they're from Japan, but maybe I thought it's good to have an international student. As for the parents working at two different states, I want to make that part of the storyline, perhaps. Maybe they got too caught up with the job, or something else happened...

I'll change the nickname and tack on a few more fears.

Name: Christian "The Grey Wizard" Lowe
Age: 16
Sex: Male
Appearance: 6'2, 160 lbs.
Image

Personality: Christian is the definition of a "nerd". Christian has a love for all things fantasy, from J.R.R Tolkien's novels, to the tabletop game of Warhammer, and the movies such as Dragonslayer.

Christian is a very quiet, and introverted person. He spends his free time in doors playing Wolfenstein 3D, reading and doing homework. He dreams of creating a fantasy world that will make him a media icon, and with this popularity get a girlfriend. Christian while enjoying violent media is a pacifist at heart, refusing to ever raise a fist to anybody.
Bio (two paragraphs at least):
Born and raised in Bedfield, Christian doesn't know much about the world around him. Christian was raised in a fairly liberal house, his parents always pushing him to try new things, but his shyness would always get in the way.

When Christian was seven his mother gave him The Hobbit to read. It was here that his love for all things fantasy would start. Soon he would read the entire Lord of The Rings trilogy, and eventually any books with Tolkien's name plastered on it. Once Christian reached Junior High he met his first companion, Jerold "The White Paladin" Olmsted. Jerold, who was also a nerd like Christian would show him the world of tabletop. However, this love of fantasy while having many boons came with some banes, the biggest being the bullies.

Once becoming an acquaintance of Jerold, Christian would meet David Wilmington, one of the school's bullies and Jerold's sworn nemesis. David and his small group of cronies would pick on Jerold and Christian throughout the coming years. Eventually Christian would get jumped in a hallway by the two of them, stealing the money he had saved up for the Warhammer figures he planned to buy after school. This event made Christian distant himself from Jerold, refusing any contact with him at school. This has not stopped the beatings however, and Christian has learned never to keep money on his person while at school.

Along with the bullying came the climate to his parents, many parents believe Christian is a Satan believer due to his love for Dungeons & Dragons, along with Warhammer. Many rumors have spread at the local church about what kind of horrendous hobbies Christian has. Thus Christian has stopped coming to church.

Christian's solitude in all this would be the comic and game store in Bedfield. Jerold would induct Christian into the tabletop club that was run by the employees. It was here that Christian earned his nickname, "Qybern, The Grey Wizard". Now Christian hopes that he can get through his junior year of high school without any more incidents.

Strengths:
  • Lore Master: Need information on any of the big fantasy universes? He's your guy, any question he can answer off the top of his head. If not, he has the sources to find the answer.
High Intelligence: Christian has received excellent grades for many years, as his parents are very keen on him studying. Thus he has fairly wide knowledge about a lot of things.
Weaknesses:
  • Low Charisma: Christian is a huge introvert. He refuses to leave his house once he gets home from school. The only time he'll leave is to go to the library, or to the comic and game store. The only way to get him talking half the time is to bring up any of his hobbies.
  • Weak Physique: The only time Christian does any excercise is during P.E. Due to this he has little to no strength.
Quirks: Christian has a very fast metabolism, thus while he doesn't expertise much he is able remain at a fairly small weight for his size and age.
Worst Fears: Getting killed by the bullies, his parents hating him, his parents being hated by the town.
*Likes: Fantasy, video games, movies, comics and books. Being with his family.
*Dislikes: Going outside, social outings and get together.
*Miscellaneous (anything else you’d like to add):
RP Examples: See sig.

That's fine. Just cut down on the martial arts a little bit, and that'll be good.

Ok, done. I feel I should mention that he's actually 14 though, not 15, so I might end up changing the height again to reflect that.

Just a thought but if she's Japanese and born in Japan why would her name be Samantha? Secondly, it's weird that the parents would purposely split the family apart by taking jobs 850 miles apart. I get that they're in need of money but unless they have really good reasons for them to abandon their daughter it just makes no sense. Just trying to figure out how or why a family would make things this difficult.

Radical. Accepted.

My main problem is that the nickname is kind of silly, and max age is 16. Other than that, it looks pretty good.
I don't know what I'm s'posed to do.
