The New Toola TimesNEW TOOLAN MONARCHY RECEIVED WARMLY BY POPULATION AS NATIONAL TOUR CONTINUESKing Winston II and Queen Consort Helena Montgomery-Laveau have continued their national tour in Napoli
NAPOLI - The national tour embarked upon by King Winston II and Queen Consort Helena Montgomery-Laveau continues to draw thousand of New Toolans onto the streets in celebration as they continue to make their way across the country. The monarchy has most recently swung through the largest city in New Toola, Napoli. The monarchs were received warmly by the people of Napoli who came out in the thousands to welcome the monarchs to their city in a parade of enormous proportions.
Despite growing national unemployment and inflation, the reception of the monarchs comes much to the relief of the Palmer Ministry and the Crown. Fears of potential backlash towards the monarchs over their decision to mount a national tour in the wake of growing tensions around the country and growing dissatisfaction with the Palmer Ministry were prevalent among advisers and pundits alike. The potential security nightmare has seemingly been able to resolve itself as the NTIS has reported that there have been no credible threats on the lives of the monarchs since the tour began.
The apparent success of the national tour appears to be a testament to the continued faith in the New Toolan Monarchy by the general population. The institution that is the New Toolan Crown remains beloved by the people despite national tension on the political front. Efforts in the past to deviate from a constitutional monarchy towards a republic have had momentum in the past but the success of the national tour has squashed those efforts. Polling conducted on the issue of the opinion of the New Toolan Crown shows an overwhelming 89% of New Toolans holding a favorable view of the Crown with only 11% holding a negative view.
