Venezuelan Politicians are very efficient to steal money from the hardworking taxpayers for the rulers, besides being stupid enough to approve an anti-videogames law to "stop" the daily shootings between the local drug dealing groups.

We Americans have the technology and the warfare to kill these communists, we should take advantage of the opportunity while they are weak and rioting and bomb them to kingdom come. We should then make a move to conquer that territory and make it a part of the United States of America to show all other countries USA is #1. We rule this world and if anyone gets in our way we will f*** you up, even the British. God bless you, President Trump.

Well, that's a lot of contempt and idiocy to lump into a single post.

This coming from the person who thinks the U.S wants a shithole like Venezuela as a state.

Venezuela has larger oil reserves than Saudi Arabia. Unfortunately due to nationalisation of the oil industry, production is at an all time low.

Burden of proof in philosophy and Burden of proof in law might be good reads.

On these forums, if you claim something, you are expected the back it up with proof. We do not do your sourcing for you. That is how you play the game here. If you cannot substantiate your claims and look down upon people for requesting to see where you got your claims from, you will be called on for spouting bullshit.

I'm all in favor of putting sanctions on Venezuelan oil exports. Concitering that Venezuela exports roughly 300,000 barrels of petroleum to the US as of 2016 (get lost in the sauce) it would be a clear show of force, that being that we will not tolerate the clear usurping of a democratically elected government. However the. If works going to need to be region, Brazil and Colombia are going to need to step up and act as regional authorities.

The only time I'd support US involvement in the situation would be if the situation devolved into a civil war. Where I would be content with actions being made to restore order and allow for elections to be held. But if that doesn't happen I'm content with us acting from afar and utilizing our economic leverage.

I suggest you pipe it down. Judging by which sites you obtain your information from, you are hardly a shining example of "backing up claims with proof". Perhaps it didn't occur to you that any idiot who knows how to use an electronic device can "spout bullshit" on Wikipedia, so pipe it down.

What a foolish idea. Sanctioning Venezuelan oil exports will only help nations such as China or Russia obtain their oil for a reduced amount. But then again, your way of thinking is prevalent in the world and it's probably why the world is in complete disarray.

This somehow ignores the fact Wikipedia fundraises for a reason, and it isn't just to keep the site up to date. Try editing an article, and you will notice how strict they have gotten. Make up enough trouble, and you get banned from trying to mess with their articles ever again. So judging Wikipedia based on dial up standards is rather archaic. As for telling them to pipe down on what reasoning do you claim to have the authority to do just that?

The burden of proof is on you to prove your claims. That is standard in any debate group or otherwise, and its pretty simple manners. You pipe it down. Wikipedia lists its own sources and you're free to follow them.

You can criticize Putin, but when you're criticism is bullshit, you are going to get called out on said bullshit, no matter how many times you go "hurr durr, durr hurr, Putinz Bahd!"

Putin's economic policies, such as improving education and healthcare, providing funds to the police, reducing the amount of armed gangs operating on Russian soil, promoting demographic improvements, allowing maternity leave, raising pensions so that pensioners have more money to put back into the economy, and so on, certainly improved the economy quite a bit.

For instance, by making cities safer, he improved property values, which, *gasps* improved the economy. By promoting preventative healthcare, he improved the health of workers, ensuring that they can be more productive when they work, which, *gasps* improved the economy. By promoting education, he made the workforce more educated, which, *gasps* improved the economy. By countersanctioning the EU with agricultural bans and promoting local agriculture, he grew the agricultural sector quite a bit, which, *gasps* improved the economy in the long term.

If Clinton would be promoting the same economic policies in the US, you'd be cheering. But because it's Putin and Russia, it must be bad and completely irrelevant. And then you expect me to take those arguments seriously.

If you think I cheer for liberal economic policies, you've never read a word I've said on this forum, or ever paid any attention to my sig and (fairly openly proclaimed) political opinions... So this little snide remark is ignorant as well as a sad attempt at a smear.

So no, you're wrong. And Putin being bad actually has nothing to do with the Russian economy, more to do with him being an authoritarian jerk who steps on people to get his way.

It's kind of funny that after your b/s was called out, you tell me that I'm wrong, because you somehow think that I care much about whom you cheer for; I don't. My point, contrary to your false assertion, is that Putin's Policies assisted the growth of the Russian economy quite a bit, and what I think of you is irrelevant to that point. Now you're welcome to claim that he's "bad", but at least it's "good" that you're no longer pretending that Putin had nothing to do with the success of Putin's economic policies.

I'm quite frankly no supporter of the corrupt regime of Maduro and the PSUV, but the US policy of regime change has never worked out before, and it's not likely to start working now. Venezuela is already in shambles, the last thing it needs now is a new Pinochet or what have you.

Sure, it would be nice of the world didn't need militaries, but it does. Anyway, depending on where you are in the world, Chinese imperialism is what you should be worried about.
Most of the time I have no idea what the hell I'm doing or talking about.

”Many forms of government have been tried and will be tried in this world of sin and woe.
No one pretends that democracy is perfect or all wise. Indeed, it has been said that democracy is
the worst form of government, except for all the others that have been tried from time to time." -
Winston Churchill, 1947.

"Rifles, muskets, long-bows and hand-grenades are inherently democratic weapons. A complex weapon makes the strong stronger, while a simple weapon – so long as there is no answer to it – gives claws to the weak.” - George Orwell

I am a big supporter of the Chinese government. China does not engage in imperialism. They secure mutually beneficial trade deals and alliances with fellow sovereign nations for the good of the workers of the world.

I also never said the world shouldn't have military forces. Just not the US due to continual misuse of their military forces.

The Chinese basically go around exploiting Africa for resources simply because they can. "Good of the workers of the world" I find that doubtful since no one has really cared about that other than propaganda wise since the 1980s. The modern PRC looks unironically more closer to the vision Chiang Kai Shek had of a unified China than some workers state. The only reason they are mucking about in the south china sea is to fulfill their interests. They don't give a damn about the interests of the Philippines or Vietnam when they make islands out of sand to use as a loophole to expand their territory.

Not that anyone else is a saint, but to hold up the PRC to some golden standards is clearly ignoring the reality of a nation that seems pretty interested in "me, and mine". Then again you could argue that occurs with practically everyone else on this planet as well.

I think you need to look up the definition of 'manners' my dear friend. The level of hypocricy you're displaying is interesting if not sad. I see the vast majority of comments here have no references for any claims made by the people who type these comments on these forums so the fact that you even have the audacity to tell me about the burden of proof while blatantly ignoring that very same burden that everyone else seems to be overlooking is laughable. I can handle a person with a lack of knowledge, but a hypocrite is something different altogether.
