Cotdelapomais Série A update.

MATCHDAY 2
Dominion 1-2 Cosmopolitan
(Rhys-Evans 28', Gervais 53', Morre 80')
Huw Rhys-Evans opened the scoring and gave Dominion hope that they could rebound from their abysmal round 1 performance, but once the second half began it was all Cosmos, with Alain Letetre showing he is not too old to be a field general at this level. Aimé Gervais scored not far in to the second after a cutting run on Shane Mars. An unlikely chip-in goal from David Morre was the winner.

Sainte-Catherine 1-2 Cap Nordique
(Watson 31', Olsson 43', Ivandro 59')
This was a match most people circled on the calendar, perhaps the first matchup between title contenders this season. Cap are off to a hot start with two wins on the trot, getting there thanks to aggressive defensive play- one of Einar Sigurdsson and Kurt Dowling almost always was further forward to deal with the talented wingers of Saints, which was useful since Cap tend to crowd the centre of the park with their big midfield.

Jonathan Watson's goal came from a volley off a Petteri Franzen cross, and the Anders Olsson goal was remarkably similar, but with the cross coming from Alex Fortuna. Ivandro's goal came from a free kick earned from a brilliant run by Karl Coles. Jesper Jensen had another strong match, but did not show up on the scoresheet- neither Coles nor Mehdi had any idea how to handle him, and Xavier Paré was too far withdrawn to be able to stop his momentum.

Montréal 2-0 Laval
(St-Onge 61', 83')
This match-up between neighbours whose rivalry would be a lot more intense if Laval were ever in the top flight was close to being a rout, save for the miracle work of Tristan Brouilly, les Voisins' keeper. Brouilly stopped a wave of Tricolore attacks, Sacha St-Onge scored twice, but it could have been four times, and Espen Eitan was unlucky to have not gottten a hat trick of his own.

Tout-Puissant Outremont 1-0 Chambly
(Caicedo 54' pen)
A relative snooze, although early returns show that perhaps Outremont are for real- one of only three clubs unbeaten thusfar. This match featured Lucas and Saku Pratte facing off against one another. Miguel Caicedo put in a lot of work, and a vicious Loïk Mailhot tackle earned him a penalty that he slotted home.

Maritime 1-2 Étoile Rouge
(Lapierre 11', Bédard 32', Mendes 40')
The Coastal Derby kicked off with early back and forth fireworks testing both keepers. Ultimately it was Cesar who cracked first, flailing and missing on a rocket from J-F Lapierre. Étoile Rouge kept up the pressure and the pace, but an Océanic counter-attack led to a breakaway from Alexis Bédard that just evaded Greg Desjardins to level the score. Luckily for the visitors Alejandro Mendes was in the right place at the right time to recover a parried Alex Colorado shot for what wound up being the winner.

Gabriel Boisvert drew what was the first red card of Série A campaign for a succession of dangerous tackles, but Étoile Rouge failed to score with the man advantage.

Celtic 1-2 Sparta
(Trevor 43', Teixeira 80', Carbonnier 90')
The first Albionpool derby was a highly gripping matchup, with the Gwenn ha Du scoring just before the break with Elwyn Trevor scoring off a header from a corner. The home side controlled the pace for much of the second half, but Helio Teixeira got free in a bit of a fluke chance from a bomb from Sev Alves after Lucas Roiseaux kept him onside, and Teixeira slotted home the shot. It looked destined to be Série A's first draw(!) of the season, but a bit of an egregious dive by Alain Saint-Louis earned Sparta a free kick just outside the box that Michel Carbonnier planted into the bottom right hand corner to a burst of joy by the Sparta players and cross-town support.

MATCHDAY 3
Cosmopolitan 0-1 Sainte-Catherine
(Christian 62')
Heads are almost certainly about to roll after another woeful performance by Cosmos has left them in 10th place. This one was embarrassing because they were at home and decided to play defensively, despite their fact that Saints were winless coming in- in itself a confusing proposition, although they had played Cap. This match was played in driving rain which immobilised both of these teams to an extent as they both sometimes like to air the ball out. Christian's strike midway through the second half proved to be the difference.

Dominion 0-1 Montréal
(Castonguay 30')
Montréal learned right before the match that their opponent in the TakilQuip Champions' Cup would be Eastburg United of Whirl Islands, the same nation Cotdelapoms has just beaten in World Cup Qualifiers, so they showed up at Public Press Park in a good mood. Le Tricolore gave Stefano Della Citta his debut in this match and he nearly made them thankful for it with a shot that hit the woodwork in the 14th minute. Montréal's traditional strong build-up play paid off in the 30th when Claude Castonguay headed in a cross from L-Y Lafayette for his second of the season. Afterwards le Tricolore seemed to be willing to hold on to their lead, although they received a major scare when Huw Rhys-Evans scored in the 77th, although the goal was called back for offsides.

Cap Nordique 3-1 Tout-Puissant Outremont
(Jensen 24', Franzen 39', Matis 57', Kulli 80')
In undoubtedly the match of the week coming in, two of the three remaining undefeateds faced off at Stade Banque Polaris, but the result was generally what was expected, as Cap Nordique continue to roll on. The indomitable Jesper Jensen opened the scoring with an absurd long distance chip over the woefully slow Karim Zaki and the keeper, Patrick Rose. Petteri Franzen got on the board next, with Didier Matis rounding out the scoring for the home side. Victor Flavius Kulli got the consolation goal for the visitors, a gorgeous curling drive from well outside the 18 yard box.

Outremont had not previously conceded a goal, but their defence looked slow and were prone to miscommunication all day, perhaps because of the loud crowd. Karim Zaki could be held at fault for the Jensen and Matis goals, although he sells a lot of shirts, the 41 year old is perhaps too slow for this level, although containing Jesper Jensen is nigh on impossible.

Laval 0-4 Maritime
(Bédard 41', Ribeiro 56', Brunette 65', Pinto 83')
Yikes. Maritime broke out of their early season slump in a huge way, absolutely toying with Laval, who had some promise before the season, but have now been thoroughly abused two weeks in a row.

Chambly 3-3 Celtic
(Gélinas 10', Chantal 19', Lussier 58', Paixão 63', Caron 70', Lloyd 88')
Impressively, Série A was draw-less prior to this encounter, a wild barnburner in which the two sides traded goals to the end, almost literally as Emlyn Lloyd's header came in the 88th. The match was wide open and featured a stunning performance from Rodrigo Lopez in the centre of the park for the Gwenn ha Du, and a similar performance for Arthur Brocard, who despite being 35 has proven himself as one of the breakout performers of the season.

Étoile Rouge 1-2 Sparta
(Belmont 32', Zedafski 60', Alves 73')
Neither side looked too convincing in this match, although Zlatko Zedafski is looking like one of the canniest buys of the season. The Sparta performance was driven from the back, with both Ian Lafontaine and Jean Duluth pushing forward much more aggressively than useful- and Sev Alves scoring his first goal in over 50 matches.

MATCHDAY 4
Montréal 0-0 Cosmopolitan
(No goals)
Tout-Puissant Outremont 1-0 Sainte-Catherine
(Carvalho 32')
Maritime 1-0 Dominion
(Clerc 77')
Celtic 0-2 Cap Nordique
(Fortuna 10', Jensen 84')
Sparta 2-0 Laval
(Drolet 82', Jones og 90')
Étoile Rouge 3-0 Chambly
(Cormier 32', Gatti 49')

Jesper Jensen's 4 goal of the year and the first from Delaclavan midfielder Alex Fortuna put Cap Nordique over Celtic to take sole possession of first place after Montréal and Cosmos battled to an entertaining but scoreless draw. Tristan Clerc's bicycle kick was the only goal in Maritime's victory over the only winless club remaining, Dominion. Outremont continued their hot start against a Saints side that has hit the panic button, and Sparta and Étoile Rouge got convincing wins over lesser competition.

MATCHDAY 5
Cosmopolitan 2-0 Tout-Puissant Outremont
(Price 38', Letetre 78')
Montréal 1-0 Maritime
(Eitan 20')
Sainte-Catherine 2-1 Celtic
(Le Tallec 17', 38', Lopez 30')
Dominion 0-1 Sparta
(Carbonnier PK 62')
Cap Nordique 1-1 Étoile Rouge
(Colorado 11', Olausson 90')
Laval 1-0 Chambly
(McBrinn 22')

Cap Nordique's perfect streak came to an end, but they were not beaten thanks to a last ditch strike from ageing super sub Einar Olausson to cancel out Alex Colorado's early goal for Étoile Rouge. Saints ended their skid and almost certainly saved Franck McAuslan's job- they are in 8th place, but only just 3 points out of fourth. And it's early. Dominion continued to hold on to 0 points when a costly Shane Mars tackle gave Sparta a penalty which was converted by Michel Carbonnier and enough to put the capital side ahead. Tyrrinese striker Espen Eitan put Montréal up over Maritime. Outremont's road woes continued when they got beat 2-0 by Cosmos thanks to Alex Price and Alain Letetre. Congrats to promoted side Laval, who got their second win.

MATCHDAY 6
Maritime 0-5 Cosmopolitan
(Price 11', Michalak 28', 42', 80', Deschênes 72')
Celtic 0-0 Tout-Puissant Outremont
(No goals)
Sparta 1-1 Montréal
(Wainwright 3', Rhys-Lloyd 39')
Étoile Rouge 2-0 Sainte-Catherine
(Zedafski 40', Al-Rashid 59')
Chambly 0-2 Dominion
(Rhys-Evans 42', 58')
Laval 1-1 Cap Nordique
(Watson 64', Seedoorf 77')

...And Franck McAuslan looks in trouble again. Saints' loss to Étoile Rouge put them 4 points adrift of the top half of the table and they look to be in real trouble, since they've scored only 5 goals. Meanwhile, shocker at Aréna Richard Savard, as Laval pull off a seemingly impossible draw with previous top of the table Cap Nordique, but Montréal fail to capitalise as they draw in our nation's capital with Sparta. Cosmos fans had been wondering where François Michalak was all year, but he finally showed up with a hat trick against a woeful Maritime, and Dominion got their first win. All three of their goals this season have come from Huw Rhys-Evans, who has been getting some humourous national team support.

MATCHDAY 7
Cosmopolitan 1-1 Celtic
(Michalak 71', Paixão 80')
Maritime 3-0 Sparta
(Ribeiro 41', Bédard 70', Duluth og 72')
Tout-Puissant Outremont 1-1 Étoile Rouge
(Morrissey 46', Kulli 64')
Montréal 1-2 Chambly
(Brown 23', Roberts 57', Della Citta 70')
Sainte-Catherine 1-1 Laval
(Le Tallec 80', Ayotte 87')
Dominion 2-1 Cap Nordique
(Nkong 30', Matis 55', Rhys-Evans 78')

Yikes. Where to begin? It's hard to tell which is more shocking, Dominion getting its' first win, or Cap Nordique getting their first loss, so the fact that it was the Hamilton side handing Cap their first loss was perhaps most shocking of all. Dominion threw all ten men behind the ball once Eualdo Nkong scored, although it did backfire, Huw Rhys-Evans saved the day, getting even closer to staking a Cup of Harmony spot. Meanwhile, a Montréal B-Side also got their first loss, although Stefano Della Citta got his first goal. Sparta could have been the team to take advantage of all this, but they too got beaten, and by a similarly woeful team- Maritime who put a 3-0 hurting on them only a week after a 5-0 pounding from the other Albionpool squad. Outremont's Victor Flavius Kulli saved the day in their draw with Étoile Rouge, and Saints stumbled again, only getting a draw against aggressively defensive Laval, which caused the other shoe to drop and Franck McAuslan to be fired and replaced by Cédric Jean.

MATCHDAY 8
Sparta 2-3 Cosmopolitan
(Deschênes 11', Teixiera 31', Gervais 45', Lafontaine 60', Michalak 71')
Étoile Rouge 0-1 Celtic
(Paixão PK 5')
Chambly 1-1 Maritime
(Sosa 38', Boisvert 73')
Laval 1-2 Tout-Puissant Outremont
(Ayotte 20', Lécuyer 49', Lucas 88')
Cap Nordique 0-1 Montréal
(Aumont 39')
Dominion 1-2 Sainte-Catherine
(Le Tallec 11', Beuzelein 43', Moon 58')

Lots of folks were looking forward to this matchday due to the first Albionpool derby and the first matchup between Cap and Montréal, and nobody was disappointed. The derby was an absolute barnburner with both sides trading goals until eventually time just ran out and Sparta was unable to come back one last time. And the top of the table clash was intense and methodical with lots of close chances but only a long range François Aumont blast separating the two. Elsewhere, Cédric Jean started out well for Saints, and Celtic pulled themselves out of the bottom two.

MATCHDAY 9
Cosmopolitan 2-1 Étoile Rouge
(Legault 39', Mendes 47', Morre 74')
Sparta 3-2 Chambly
(Oullette 23', Carbonnier 52', Belmont 69', Brocard 80', 85')
Celtic 2-1 Laval
(Lopez 64', Gélinas 74', Tennant 82')
Maritime 1-0 Cap Nordique
(Barrie 40')
Tout-Puissant Outremont 1-3 Dominion
(Rhys-Evans 28', 77', Kratz 43', Thiago 85')
Montréal 0-1 Sainte-Catherine
(Mehdi 23')

The new coaching seems to be doing wonders for Saints who now have won two in a row on the trot after a huge win at Montréal. This left the door wide open at the top of the table and Cosmos took the opportunity to go through it with a chippy 2-1 win over Étoile Rouge, who were depressed to see their bitter rivals Maritime pass them with a 1-0 victory over suddenly cold Cap Nordique who haven't won since round 4(!) Dominion got their third win with a surprising road thrashing of Outremont, and Huw Rhys-Evans scored goals 5 and 6 on the season to put him top of that table. He is the new Godofredo Paixão, scoring lots of goals for a poor side. Speaking of, Paixão's Celtic got a 2-1 win against Laval and are creeping closer to being in the top half. Sparta were in another 3-2 battle, but this time on the right end, but almost weren't thanks to some late minute almost heroics from Arthur Brocard.

MATCHDAY 10
Chambly 0-1 Cosmopolitan
(MacDonald 68')
Laval 1-3 Étoile Rouge
(Zedafski 23', Gatti 47', Renaud 61', Lapierre 68')
Cap Nordique 1-4 Sparta
(Rhys-Lloyd 10', Belmont 29', 90', Watson 53', Robichaud 82')
Dominion 0-4 Celtic
(Lopez 32', 58', Paixão 64', 86')
Sainte-Catherine 0-1 Maritime
(Brunette 23')
Montréal 3-0 Tout-Puissant Outremont
(St-Onge 42', Castonguay 65', Eitan 80')

Montréal's convincing win over Outremont put them in better shape than Cosmos' scattershot 1-0 win over Chambly, but the two sides remain even at the top of the table. Meanwhile nobody knows what's going wrong at Cap Nordique, and it seems like they might be back to their old, losing ways after a hearty thrashing at Stade Banque Polaris at the hands of Sparta. Ivan Igorsson might be the second manager fired if this keeps up. Saints' hot streak came to a close at the hands of Maritime. Rodrigo Lopez and Godofredo Paixão showed that Celtic is their team and that they are two of the best players in the country in their 4-0 dismantling of lowly Dominion. Étoile Rouge got back to their winning ways with a hearty 3-1 victory over Laval thanks to Zlatko Zedafski's 4th, among others.

MATCHDAY 11
Cosmopolitan 2-1 Laval
(Rojas 27', Seedoorf 70', Michalak 78')
Chambly 1-2 Cap Nordique
(Jensen 11', 82', Roberts 53')
Étoile Rouge 1-3 Dominion
(Aikman 24', Rhys-Evans 43', Horton 70', Trottier 90')
Sparta 0-3 Sainte-Catherine
(Le Tallec 30', Beuzelein 48', Christian PK 74')
Celtic 2-0 Montréal
(Lopez 3', Gallant 57')
Maritime 1-1 Tout-Puissant Outremont
(Bédard 7', Kulli 72')

Cosmopolitan pulled away into first with a surprisingly close home win over Laval, who have proven to be no pushovers, despite being last place. Montréal blew it with a 2-0 loss to Celtic, including Rodrigo Lopez's quickly taken free kick. Saints got back to their winning ways with an absolute road decimation of Sparta, who also blew their chance to move up in the table. Dominion got a rare road win at erratic Étoile Rouge, Huw Rhys-Evans scored his league leading 7th goal. Cap Nordique finally ended their skid with a gutsy win in Chambly, featuring a two goal effort from Jesper Jensen, getting himself back on the board. Outremont got another draw, they are slowly becoming the nation's most hated club as much for being dull as for trying to buy a title.

Série A Standings

Team P W D L For Ag +/- Pts

11 Chambly 11 2 2 7 11 19 -8 8
12 Laval 11 2 2 7 8 19 -11 8

Most people expected Montréal, Saints and Cap to be the elite teams this season, but after 11 rounds it looks like it'll be Montréal and the three capital clubs, although it's really closely packed- 5th and 6th place sides Cap and Maritime are as close to Montréal as Le Tricolore are to first place. Even the two bottom-feeders, Chambly and Laval are not too far out, both are just 4 points behind Dominion. Série A splits into Championship and Relegation divisions after 22 rounds, the top 6 playing 10 more rounds for the Championship, and the bottom 6 competing in 10 more rounds to not get relegated.

Série A scoring leaders:
7- Huw Rhys-Evans (Dominion)
6- Jesper Jensen (Cap Nordique), François Michalak (Cosmopolitan), Gilbert Le Tallec (Sainte-Catherine)
5- Godofredo Paixão and Rodrigo Lopez (Celtic)

Tallyn Rovers’ advancement to club football’s showpiece match will mark the first appearance of an Ad’ihani club since the inaugural event, when Olympique Protectorat, now reduced to SBCC football, found themselves stymied in a lengthy penalty shootout after they failed to break their 2–2 deadlock against Yuba United. Their opponent, Poikimitagiin FE, appears a formidable one; those who balk at the prospect of Vephrese success in UICA competition were suddenly silenced by Poiki’s unprecedented attacking prowess against Caires City in the first knockout round, representing the most goals ever scored by a club at that stage both in a single match and over the two legs. Aeropag’s Olympic Tower will provide the setting for this intriguing twenty-fifth edition of the gold medal match.

Updated coëfficients are now available.

The entry limits for the next season of UICA competition will be as follows:
TakilQuip Champions’ Cup 26: The number of teams allowed is determined according to league coefficients, with the following distribution:
  • Associations ranked 1–3 (Cafundéu, Candelaria And Marquez, and Capitalizt SLANI) are allowed to enter four teams.
  • Associations ranked 4–6 (Valanora, Ad’ihan, and Jasĭyun) are allowed to enter three teams.
  • Associations ranked 7–28 (Vephrall, Aguazul, Sargossa, Estresse Intenso, Krytenia, Sorthern Northland, Nethertopia, West Zirconia, Valladares, Daehanjeiguk, The Weegies, Pasarga, Somewhereistonia, Queer Poco el Mono Ara, The Babbage Islands, Taeshan, Osarius, Liventia, Zarbli, Tentalon, Tyrrin, and Septentrionia) are allowed to enter two teams.
  • Associations ranked 29 and below, and unranked associations, are allowed to enter one team.
  • Special considerations:
    • Tallyn Rovers is assured a place as the title-holder. If it fails to qualify for one of JUST’s five places, it will be entitled to an additional place.
    • Élite League: Has seven places. Capitalizt SLANI must enter at least three teams, and Jasĭyun at least two.

When the Cyanea Joint League determined that no Sarzonian teams would be promoted from the Sarzonian Football Confederation, the Rochester Rogues went back to work. They would go in as the defending SFC champions based on their dominating performance the previous season. Obviously, they still wanted to win the championship, but their goal wasn't winning the SFC.

They have their sights set on returning to the Cyanea Joint League, and when longtime rivals Portsmouth Pirates finished in second place and qualified for the TakilQuip Champions Cup as the Sarzonian entry, they were determined to not only get back to the CJL, but to beat their nemeses.

The league decided to end their experiment with a two division set up and reduce the schedule to 28 matches from the previous season's 32. Each team would play division opponents four times (twice at home, twice away) and would face interdivision foes twice (once home, once away). Here we have the regular season results:

Rochester once again finished with the best record in the league, and the Phoenix Flames once again finished nipping at their heels. The Stillwater Farmers finished with the best record among non-division winners and captured the wild card. The Townshend Terror won the Central Division. Here are the playoff round results:

First Round
Rochester Rogues 1-0 Stillwater Farmers
Phoenix Flames 2-0 Townshend Terror

This set up a rematch of the previous season's semifinal between Rochester and Phoenix, a semifinal which was also part of an experimental playoff format which was abolished after the season.

Final
Rochester Rogues 1-2 Phoenix Flames

The Phoenix Flames capture their first-ever Sarzonian Football Confederation championship. In the event one Sarzonian team is relegated from the Cyanea Joint League, the Flames will be promoted. If two teams are relegated, Rochester would reach its goal of returning to the CJL.

The Krytenian Football Association, in conjunction with Cygnus Technologies, are proud to announce a new club football tournament; the Cygnus Cup.

The competition will be a straight knockout tournament, with each round being held over two legs (home and away), and will take place immediately after the UICA competitions in the cycle.

Who is eligible?
The Cygnus Cup is a competition for national club cup winners. As such, each participating association (and its corresponding national cup) is allocated one place only. For multiassociational leagues with a unified cup competition (such as the Liga Calania), only one place is available between the associations.
The exception to this rule (from the second tournament onwards) will be the reigning Cygnus Cup holders, who qualify automatically.

What bearing does this have on my UICA qualification spots?
None whatsoever. The Cygnus Cup is not affiliated with UICA, and the tournaments will not clash. UICA-qualified clubs can enter the Cygnus Cup in addition to their UICA tournament.

What do I need to do to enter a team into the Cygnus Cup?
Simple. Scorinate the cup final (at least), and make reference to the winners qualifying for the tournament (labelling them with CYG in the scorination, for instance).

How will the tournament be seeded?
The UICA co-efficients will be used to decide seedings. The number of rounds to the tournament depends on the number of teams entered before the deadline, which will be 72 hours after the TQCC/SBCC deadline in each cycle.

I have another question.
Send a TG to The Almighty Vuvuzela (my OOC puppet), and I will reply ASAP.

The Cambrian Credit Union National Football League has just completed it's first season. It's 12 member teams are franchises, not clubs, and there is no promotion and relegation. Nova Cambria et PBI is a small nation that likes football but is not very good at it. The league is also desperately poor so most of the players with any skill at all will be sold soon.

With new broadcasting rights reached, the Greater Cotswalds Football Board is proud to present a new season of Greater Cotswalds Football and our top flight league, the GrösLigaa

Image

Heading into the new season the stories are much like seasons in the past. RSK Kapitel prepares to defend their position at the top of the table after a hard fought campaign to hold off rival sides SK Heeyt and RSK Tirpenz. Kapitel manager Jan var Poole has had a surprisingly quiet off season, with no major transfers to help off set their quickly climbing average team age. Kapitel and Greater Cotswalds national team Captain Ruud Endemann said he is in the best condition of this career and is ready to take on the new season. No doubt Heeyt is going to do their best to prove Rugby isn't their only sport not once again find themselves runner up.

Tirpenz is continuing to make waves with its young signings, bringing in 18 year old striker Per Stuut from struggling ALigaa side Sabena. They also bring in 20 year old Goalkeeper Kalvin var der Leer from the Aallek youth team to serve as back up to one of the few veterans, Uli Jaarlisch. Rumours say that if var der Leer explodes on the scene as some predict, Jaarlisch could find himself on the market quite quickly.

This season FK Noordpoort will attempt to prove they are not "the best of the rest" side that many people make them out to be. This traditionally defensive minded club took to signing national team striker Lars Verhaar following his fallout with FK Buurg and hopes to ignite the side's push to be a top three side, however chances of championship will require much more than simply signing a powerful forward. With this in mind, the loss of Verhaar from FK Buurg will force them to continue to struggle to be competitive, and for a side that is ever in the shadow of the Cotswalds-Buurg neighbour RSK Kapitel, fans should expect a rocky season as it is well known that Verhaar was not the only unhappy player at the club.

Also shooting for aspirations of greatness will be SK Gaal, the completion of the new Jööki Stadion will give the fans something to enjoy, even if the football doesn't hold up to par like most expect, the fans can enjoy a beautiful view of the rivers. The addition of Nova Cambrian leading goal scorer Gavid Bremner should help add to the excitement at the new park.

A team trying to find where their greatness went was FK Waalen, whose injury ridden season and devastating losses to weaker and bitter rival Rot-Weiss Waalen asked many questions of manager Fredrik Vinken. Vinken hit the transfer market hard, replacing former captain Gerd Halland with Eoin Maddox of Nova Cambria, a man with a reputation of being able to control the play across the midfield. Walter Rosch is the other major signing, coming from Suudport to beef up a defence that was often seen as fragile. This loss will hurt Suudpoort, however the balance of talent and solid management should allow them to stay put for another season.

Fighting for survival will Paalbrek and Schleid. Paalbrek collapsed at the end of the previous season, just narrowly escaping relegation to doom RSK Prinz down to ALigga. With a crisis in the management and budget, not much was able to be done to strengthen the side. Schleid is a team that most think were not supposed to have anything to do with the top level league when they shocked their way to victory in the playoff for promotion. ALigaa winners Waltwill certainly don't look set for any record breaking season, however they should be set for a fair season that will give them time to build.

Alliance Division Standings

Team P W D L For Ag +/- Pts
1 Liverurta United (KAZ) 40 20 12 8 48 30 +18 72 Q

11 Darka Solis (IDA) 40 10 13 17 41 48 -7 43

Another season in the Alliance league saw the domination of Kazzorian clubs. With the same top two as last year and Indiargash Athletic coming third thing look very similar. Although Cordian City AFC had a much better season and they managed to finish in 4th compared to their rock bottom finish last year they did well.

Power Division Standings

Team P W D L For Ag +/- Pts
1 Sardat Juiti (IDA) 40 22 6 12 64 52 +12 72 Q

11 Southwarks (KAZ) 40 10 7 23 45 60 -15 37

Very few shocks occurred this year in the power league. Sardat Juiti and Olivos as expected finished in the top two spots and Indiargash Hedgehogs were one place up from last year managing a third place finish. The only shock was new club Hisarkia managing a top four finish and Cazal were pushed down into 5th.

Gordonopian Football Association - 2010 Season
Matchdays 1-6

After six matchdays, the Gordonopian Football League is off to a great start. As predicted, most of the usual conference powerhouses have taken the lead in their respective conferences.
Gordonopia FC proved that even with their star striker, Howard Hawkins, on loan to the Tyrrinian Mertag FC for the season, they are still a force to be reckoned with. With five wins, and only one loss, they have taken the overall lead in the league, as well as a commanding seven point lead in the Central Division. With only five goals against them, compared to 16 goals for, they are off to a good start both offensively and defensively, highlighted by a 4-0 victory over Riechfield FC on matchday 6
The Northern Division is led by FC Deska, the division's usual leader. With three wins, two draws, and one loss, it lags behind Gordonopia FC, but still manages to lead the division. The traditionally defensive team is continuing that tradition, with a mere two goals scored, both in one game. However, it's offense is lagging as well, with only three goals scored thus-far. Although the rookie goalie Dean Stern is showing his abilities, the teams offense, led by veteran forward Sean Butte, will have to pick it up if it wants a championship this year.
The Southern Division extremely close compared to the other divisions. West Tolten, usually ranked second or third in the division, is in first, but with only 11 points after three wins, two draws, and a loss. Teva FC and Fusba United are equal in points, with 10, only one behind West Tolten. With three wins and a draw each, they are virtually neck-in neck.
The Colonial Division is in a surprising tie for the lead between Kaje Football and the New Kjeldor Knights. Kaje usually leads the division, and the usual second place Latimere United is in third, with only six points. Kaje and New Kjeldor both have 10 points, after two wins and two draws, and an equal goal differential, New Kjeldor manages to take the narrow lead with only a single goal more. Both teams will need to start picking up wins, however, if they want to put themselves in a good position for the playoffs.
With the end of conference matches, the teams will now begin playing other each team in the rest of the league once, for a total of 18 match days. The race for the Gordonopia Cup is on. Who will emerge victorious?

Following the Krytenian Football Association’s announcement of the Cygnus Cup the Pocoan F.A has taken the measure to release more information in regards to the Rushmore Copa De Campeones…. Ya know, just to make life easier for everyone and promote a second edition.

Whose Eligible?

Entered teams must play in a domestic football league based in the region of Rushmore. Each participating association is allocated two places – one place is designated to the league champion, the second is allocated to another team of the user’s choosing.

Entry limits differ for both the Rushmore Overseas Football League and South Rushmori Premier Division, to allow for more of region’s clubs to experience international competition. The Rushmore Overseas Football League is awarded 4 places, which must be filled by teams from at least three separate associations. As is the South Rushmori Premier Division which has four places, which must be filled by teams from three separate associations.

The reigning champions will qualify automatically if they fail to qualify as one of their domestic association’s places – in this case NAPPC are now automatically eligible for the second edition of the Copa de Campeones as reigning champions.

The Copa de Campeones is not affiliated with UICA, and the tournaments will not clash. UICA-qualified clubs can enter the Copa de Campeones in addition to their UICA tournament.

To enter the Copa de Campeones, your nation must be resident in Rushmore and you should have Scorinated your domestic league, and made reference to the teams qualifying for the tournament.

How will the tournament be seeded?

The number of rounds to the tournament depends on the number of teams entered before the deadline, which will be shortly after the TQCC/SBCC deadline in each cycle.

UICA coefficients were employed for the first competition to seed teams, however new coefficients are currently being developed in order to seed the second competition and to add to the individual Rushmore flavor with separate coefficients to the UICA competitions.

If you have any questions don’t hesitate to get in touch via TG.

Gordonopian Football Association - 2010 Season
Matchdays 7-12

As the GFA nears the home-stretch, most divisions now have clear front-runners.
The Central Division is completely dominated by Gordonopia FC, with 28 points after nine wins, one draw, and only two losses. The team is exceeding all expectations, with a goal differential of a massive +19. In a turn of events that surprised some, Nacio Kirabo, on loan for the season from the Tyrinn Commanders League Mertag FC, has become a leader on the team, scoring eight of the teams' 28 goals.
West Tolten has emerged as the Southern Division's leader, with 27 points, seven more than the division's second, Teva FC. With eight wins, three draws, and only one loss, West Tolten is just behind Gordonopia FC for the overall lead in the league. What has surprised many is West Tolten's young goalie, Derrick Schmidt, who has gained a significant amount of attention after the near meltdown of FC Deska's goalie, who went from a mere two goals allowed to eleven. Thus-far, only six goals have been scored against the team, marking Schmidt as a front-runner for Golden Glove.
The Colonial Division has seen Kaje Football pull well ahead of the Kjeldor Knights, with 23 points. The team managed to pick up wins, and currently has six wins, five draws, and one loss. Meanwhile, perrenial last-place team Zuzelt Steel still has yet to receive a win.
Only the Northern Division does not have a clear leader. Previously, FC Deska was well in the lead, however a poor series of games has brought it to five wins, two draws, and five losses, only 17 points. Although the team is still holding on to the league championship, Union Holiday has managed to move up to 15 points, only a win away from overtaking Deska.
The last six games are coming soon. Who will be the front-runners for the Gordonopia Cup?

Gordonopian Football Association - 2010 Season
Matchdays 13-18

The Regular season is now complete, with a few surprises for many.
The overall leader of the season was the Southern Division's West Tolten. West Tolten managed a total of 38 points, made up of 11 wins, five draws, and a mere two losses throughout the entire season. Additionally, the exceptional performance of the team's young goalie, Derrick Schmidt, has helped the team achieve these excellent stats. The goalie started after the intra-division play ended, when the teams' usual goalie suffered a season ending injury. Schmidt allowed only eight goals the entire season, earning him the Golden Glove. The Southern Divisions' second place is Teva FC, who will also compete in the Gordonopia Cup, followed by Fusba United and Al-Kharid.
The Northen Division saw the upset of FC Deska by Union Holiday thanks to a mere +5 goal differential. Both teams will make the playoffs, however neither is seen as a favorite to win.
The Central Division is led by Gordonopia FC, with 36 points and an amazing +21 goal differential. This incredible season gives the powerhouse the distinction of being a front-runner for the Gordonopia Cup. A full 13 points behind is Riechfield FC, who will also compete in the Cup.
Finally, Kaje Football leads the Colonial Division with 34 points. Although the team let in less goals overall, the defensive powerhouse's goalie will not receive the Golden Glove, thanks to Derrick Schmidt's distinction as the goalie who started at least half of his teams games and allowed the least goals. Kaje's goalie started all games, and allowed only 10 goals total, an incredible feat. Falling in behind Kaje is Latimere United a full 13 points back, which managed to drag its way into second just edging out the Kjeldor Knights.
The season is over, and the Gordonopia Cup is set to begin. Who will emerge victorious?

It is unusual that the GrösLigaa plays what is technically the first game of the second half of the season ahead of the break, but due to television schedules, it was done as such.

The biggest story of the first half of the season was the collapse of RSK Tirpenz. The team with a long history of victory and championships found themselves with an exceptionally poor start, spending much of the time prior to the turn in the relegation area. As it stands they are in ninth. Unsatisfied with the way manager Hans Jaansen had been handling the team, he was released form his contract and multi-championship winner Carlo Briére. In their first two matches under new management, they have found victory. He has already hinted to calling for older, international purchases to balance out the young squad made by his predecessor.

The other story is the climbing of FK Noordpoort to the top of the table with a clear three point lead over rival Suudpoort. It appears that Lars Verhaar ignited the offence and the traditional defensive skills seen in Noordpoort teams of past has been seen. Could this be their year?

RSK Kapitel, despite a strong start has seen a few rough games and as such have fallen to fourth behind new team to the GrösLigaa, Waltwill. Across the capital city, FK Buurg continues to have problems between the coaching staff, the players, and the board. After a heated debate regarding budget and performance expectations, Erich var der Reecht has resigned his position with the club, stating the board is "Impossible to work with," and "[the players] are a bunch of primadonnas with nothing to show for it." In his place comes Jean-Claude d'Archeville, but there is little hope of much major results from this season. d'Archeville will likely be playing damage control.

Another surprise has been the power of Rot-Weiss Waalen, now tied with their traditionally stronger rival FK Waalen. Rot-Weiss has much to owe to their Captain, attacking midfielder Tommi Köhler, who has worked to bind this team together into a strong force both offensively, and defensively. Much kudos also passed to their goalkeeper Wilhem Gaase, who has been exceptional.

As things stand it appears that Paalbrek and Schleid will find their way back to ALigaa but who shall come up is shaping up to look like SK Gröölsch and Aallek, however SK Marineer and FK Schipöl are not far back and the second promotion spot is a play off between the the teams placed second through fourth.

Gordonopian Football Association - 2010 Season
Gordonopia Cup 1st Round

The top eight teams of the Gordonopia Football Association have been narrowed to four. Of the teams, three emerged as pre-tournament favorites: West Tolten and Kaje FC, with their powerhouse defense, and Gordonopia FC with their merciless offense. All three proved their worth, with every one making it to the Semi-Finals.
West Tolten managed to edge out Central Division runner-up Riechfield FC 1-0. The game appeared close, but close analysis revealed West Tolten's strategy in action. After a quick goal in the seventh minute, the offense let up just slightly. Although the offense was weakened, it presented enough of a challenge to keep Riechfield on the defense, while West Tolten's defense was able to play an easy game.
Latimere United, runner-up in the Colonial Division, defeated Northern Division champion Union Holiday 2-1 in extra time. The game was hard fought, but in the end, the weak Northern Division's leader fell.
Kaje Football had en even longer slugfest against FC Deska. The League's traditional defense powerhouses clashed, both showing their trademark 'Northern' and 'Colonial' defenses. In the end, Kaje emerged victorious, after going 1 and 1 through extra time, and winning penalty kicks 3-0. The game will hopefully give Deska time to rethink its strategy, and hopefully improve for the next year.
Finally, Gordonopia FC routed Teva FC in the First Round's only blowout. At 5-0. the Gordonopian Offense virtually repeated the famous, or infamous, 'Massacre of Teva' 2006 Championship Game.
The Semi-Finals are soon to be played. West Tolten will play Latimere United, and Kaje Football will play Gordonopia FC. Two powers will clash, and a third will face an outsider. Who will continue to the championship?

MATCHDAY 12
Cap Nordique 1-2 Cosmopolitan
(Price 23', Jensen 41', Gervais 67')
Dominion 1-2 Laval
(Nkong 56', St-Pierre 74', Tennant 81')
Sainte-Catherine 3-1 Chambly
(Parekh 32', Coles 80', Mehdi 85', Tolstuj 90')
Montréal 0-2 Étoile Rouge
(Colorado 17', Villemarie 70')
Tout-Puissant Outremont 1-0 Sparta
(Tavinde 45')
Maritime 0-0 Celtic

League leading Cosmos win another big one, setting Cap Nordique preposterously even further back, now into 9th place, although that is misleading considering the cluster of teams from 2nd to 9th. Regardless, Cosmos won an end-to-end battle thanks to their now absurdly good back four, who shut down every attack Cap made save for one- a typical massive Jesper Jensen run. Jensen is clearly becoming frustrated at having to keep the entire club on his back. There is a lot of pressure for him to go abroad, and it is looking more and more likely.

Montréal failed to keep pace and now finds themselves much closer to 9th place than to 1st, the squad is clearly overwhelmed with all the football they've been playing lately- between the league, the Champions' Cup, Globe Cup and Rushmore Champions League they have been forced into a squad rotation, and the team is simply not deep enough. Not to take anything away from the 90 minute pressing performance put together by Étoile Rouge, lots of credit must go to J-F Lapierre, who absolutely took Sacha St-Onge out of the match.

Saints overpowered little Chambly. Hivaldo Tavinde had an impressive debut for Outremont. Laval netted their 3rd win and look like a so-so bet to evade the drop. Maritime and Celtic played a snoozer.

MATCHDAY 13
Cosmopolitan 1-1 Dominion
(Nkong 64', Eagle III 79')
Cap Nordique 3-1 Sainte-Catherine
(Matis 34', Jensen 58', Le Tallec 65', O'Hanrahan 86')
Laval 0-1 Montréal
(Lafayette 30')
Chambly 0-2 Tout-Puissant Outremont
(Caicedo 64', Tavinde 70')
Étoile Rouge 1-2 Maritime
(Zedafski 10', Daniels 40', Zeidler 59')
Sparta 1-1 Celtic
(Carbonnier PK 64', Paixão PK 85')

Big step back for Cosmos who drew at home to lowly Dominion thanks to a lifeless performance and Dominion's peculiar but surprisingly successful decision to start playing 4-5-1 away from home. They have made waves about trying to reaquire Saku Pratte from Outremont, where he has been displaced. Montréal took advantage of the woeful Cosmos display with a win in Laval, despite sitting back after L-Y Lafayette's early tally put thme ahead. Le Tricolore seem to be coasting in the hopes of striking once the table split happens, not unlike last year.

The Albionpool derby was a chippy affair, with both goals coming off penalties that included sendings off- a controversial handball in the box by Elwyn Trevor and a vicious tackle from behind by Jean Duluth to stop a soaring Nico Gélinas. Maritime won the east coast derby with two goals off corner kicks, although it was good to see Zlatko Zedafski back on the scoresheet for Étoile Rouge. Jesper Jensen netted his 7th of the year as Cap routed Saints and pushed back into the top half. Hivaldo Tavinde continued his impressive start for Outremont as he scored again in their 2-0 win over lowly Chambly.

MATCHDAY 14
Sainte-Catherine 0-0 Cosmopolitan
Montréal 2-2 Dominion
(Gudjonsson 28', Castonguay 45', Rhys-Evans 66', Lebanner 84')
Tout-Puissant Outremont 0-3 Cap Nordique
(Watson 7', Desrosiers 81', Franzen 90')
Maritime 0-0 Laval
Celtic 1-1 Chambly
(Idrissou 23', Idrissou og 67')
Sparta 0-0 Étoile Rouge

A pretty rotten week of football all around for everyone except for Cap Nordique, who dismantled Outremont and look alive again. Bonus points to Jean-Joël Idrissou, who scored both goals in a 1-1 match. Nothing needs to be said about this round.

MATCHDAY 15
Cosmopolitan 2-1 Montréal
(Letetre 60', Aumont 72', Michalak 79')
Sainte-Catherine 3-0 Tout-Puissant Outremont
(Le Tallec 19', 31', 52')
Dominion 1-1 Maritime
(Moon 49', Brunette 73')
Cap Nordique 1-1 Celtic
(O'Hanrahan 32, Côté 61')
Laval 1-0 Sparta
(McBrinn 3')
Chambly 1-2 Étoile Rouge
(Gatti 63', Sosa 74', Lapierre 79')

Cosmos took the top of the table clash thanks to a late game bit of dazzle from François Michalak and the confident distribution of David Morre, who has been having his best season. Gilbert Le Tallec may be having the very best season of anyone in Série A, and he proved it with a monstrous hat trick against Outremont to avenge Saints' earlier loss to the new boys. Elsewhere Laval got a shocking win over Sparta, who are having an even worse season than last year and promptly fired Carlo Briére and brought in Franck McAuslan, who was fired from Étoile Rouge earlier this year. Speaking of Étoile Rouge, they got a refreshing 2-1 win at Chambly, it was nice to see Mario Gatti back on the scoreboard.

Elsewhere, Cap and Celtic and Dominion and Maritime got draws against one another. Ryan O'Hanrahan, who was banned from Unitopolis for a drugs offence, is off to a fine start for Cap Nordique.

MATCHDAY 16
Tout-Puissant Outremont 1-0 Cosmopolitan
(Moreau 58')
Maritime 0-1 Montréal
(Laspalles 88')
Celtic 3-0 Sainte-Catherine
(Lopez 34', Fareed 71', Camara 84')
Sparta 0-1 Dominion
(Rhys-Evans 40')
Étoile Rouge 3-0 Cap Nordique
(Horton 19', Mendes 48', Jones 75')
Chambly 0-1 Laval
(Tennant 73')

Tough round for losing teams, great round for half the goalkeepers, as all six matches featured shutouts. It was nice to see a non-Godofredo Paixão forward score a goal for Celtic, as late-match sub Mohmadou Camara opened his goalscoring account for the season in Celtic's 3-0 win over the manic Sainte-Catherine. Cosmos dropped a big one to Outremont thanks to Noël Moreau's perfect timing in recovering a Victor Flavius Kulli rebound. A late Michel Laspalles free kick brace put Montréal up over Maritime. Franck McAuslan's time at Sparta is off to a rough start as Dominion beat them. Laval are on a winning streak after Nathan Tennant's chipper puts them past Les Brasseurs. Étoile Rouge are a big winner over fading Cap Nordique thanks to a virtuoso performance from Alex Colorado who did not score, but featured in all three goals.

MATCHDAY 17
Cosmopolitan 1-0 Maritime
(Price 62')
Tout-Puissant Outremont 0-1 Celtic
(Lopez 23')
Montréal 2-0 Sparta
(Castonguay 38', Faille 80')
Sainte-Catherine 2-0 Étoile Rouge
(Christian 32', Desjardins 53')
Dominion 2-1 Chambly
(St-Hilaire 48', Aikman 73', Walker 84')
Cap Nordique 6-0 Laval
(Matis 34', O'Hanrahan 47', Jensen 53', 83', Fortuna 68', Franzen 74')

The Vikings demolition of Les Voisins (and their winning streak!) is the story of the round, as the favoured team won every match this round. Chambly have clearly shown themselves to be the top contenders for the wooden spoon after this woeful performance against a truely not very good in their own right Dominion. Saints had another strong home outing, blanking Étoile Rouge. Le Tricolore kept Franck McAuslan winless as manager of Sparta, who seem to be preparing for their first finish outside the top 6 in years and are talking about completely starting over. Cosmos returned to their winning ways and Rodrigo Lopez's efforts put the Gwenn ha Du over Outremont.

MATCHDAY 18
Celtic 2-3 Cosmopolitan
(Legault 39', 64', Lopez 48', Radinek 80', Michalak PK 89')
Sparta 0-2 Maritime
(Bédard 23', Ribeiro 63')
Étoile Rouge 2-3 Tout-Puissant Outremont
(Caicedo 13', Kulli 48', Aslan 55', Vicenzi 62', Colorado 80')
Chambly 0-1 Montréal
(St-Onge 64')
Laval 1-1 Sainte-Catherine
(Le Tallec 65', Seedoorf 84')
Cap Nordique 2-0 Dominion
(Fortuna 4', Jensen 11')

Cosmos won a capital derby thanks to a surprising double from Jérôme Legault and a late bit of luck from a questionable penalty call. Outremont are looking better for a chance at a top 6 finish, which was their objective from the beginning after a strong performance by their midfield, led by Victor Flavius Kulli. Montréal are proving themselves to be masters of the 1-0 win after another one, this time thanks to some quality at the boot of Sacha St-Onge. Jesper Jensen and Gilbert Le Tallec both scored this week, but only Jesper and Cap got a win, beating Dominion 2-0, whereas Saints got a draw at lowly Laval, who have been a thorn in the side of the big clubs all year. Maritime seemed to guarantee Franck McAuslan will not be retained next year by beating them 2-0 on the road.

MATCHDAY 19
Cosmopolitan 1-0 Sparta
(Deschênes 61')
Celtic 2-0 Étoile Rouge
(Gallant 13', Paixão PK 56')
Maritime 1-3 Chambly
(Walker 30', Mason 43', Roberts 56', Fillion 70')
Tout-Puissant Outremont 4-1 Laval
(Caicedo 15', Lucas 35', Wood 44', Pratte 64', Kratz 80')
Montréal 4-1 Cap Nordique
(Della Citta 32', Castonguay 40', Eitan 59', Franzen 73', Wainwright 84')
Sainte-Catherine 11-1 Dominion
(Le Tallec 13', 45', 68', Christian 24', 42', Coles 33', 74', Lebanner 38', Ivandro 60', Beuzelein 64', 89', Parekh 80')

What in the world got into Saints? This was an exciting week overall but it's almost not even worth discussing Montréal's decimation of their fellow expected contender, or the big capital derby seeing Franck McAuslan lose AGAIN, or Celtic sending Étoile Rouge adrift, or Outremont's decimation of Laval, or Chambly getting their first big win because...Sainte-Catherine set the Cotdelapomais Série A records for goals in one match, most multiple goal scorers and biggest margin of victory when six different players scored a total of 11 goals, including four players scoring multiple and Gilbert Le Tallec scoring his improbable second hat trick and third multiple goal match in the season this early on.

MATCHDAY 20
Étoile Rouge 0-1 Cosmopolitan
(Lafrenière 82')
Chambly 1-0 Sparta
(Brocard 40')
Laval 1-2 Celtic
(Shaughnessy 34', Renaud 55', Montambeault 78')
Cap Nordique 4-0 Maritime
(Watson 33', Matis 58', 77', Mickelson 63')
Dominion 1-5 Tout-Puissant Outremont
(Lucas 11', 78', Pratte 42', Nkong 59', Caicedo 63', Lécuyer 84')
Sainte-Catherine 0-2 Montréal
(St-Onge 63', Wainwright 84')

Both Cosmos and Montréal are clearly the teams to beat at this stage in the game, whilst everyone else is erratic, they seem to be playing consistently strong football, with both teams getting road shutout wins over competent opponents. Both sides were made to sweat a bit though, as Cosmos didn't score until the last 10 minutes, as Le Tricolore had to wait until the 2nd half. Elsewhere Dominion continued their descent as they improved on last week- only losing 5-1. Maritime have added to the scrap heap of coaches after firing Jean-Claude D'Archeville after their 4-0 loss to Cap Nordique as it looks like they won't be competing for the title this year. In a moment shocking to nobody, Franck McAuslan has lost again, and Celtic have quietly pulled into 3rd place and look like they have a good chance of playing international football.

MATCHDAY 21
Cosmopolitan 2-0 Chambly
(Letetre 53', Gervais 75')
Étoile Rouge 2-1 Laval
(Lapierre 20', Zedafski 61', Ayotte 78')
Sparta 4-1 Cap Nordique
(Carbonnier 24', Beijerstam 38', Rhys-Lloyd 55', Teixeira 74', Belmont 89')
Celtic 2-2 Dominion
(Lopez 8', Thiago 32', Rhys-Evans 60', Montambeault 83')
Maritime 1-3 Sainte-Catherine
(Bédard 41', Christian 63', Beuzelein 71', 85')
Tout-Puissant Outremont 0-1 Montréal
(Faille 36')

With one round to go before the league splits off into Championship and Relegation groups, this erratic topsy-turvy season now seems...organised. A 6 point gap between 6th and 7th means there's nothing to play for anymore, Cosmos and Montréal will battle it out for the title seemingly, and Celtic, Saints, Cap and Outremont will compete for Globe Cup spots. Round 21 saw some dominant performances by the Saints midfield, perfectly setting up two goals for Alexandre Beuzelein, invisible for much of the year. It also saw Franck McAuslan finally get his first win for Sparta, and dramatically as they put four up on Cap. Huw Rhys-Evans became the third player to score 10 goals this season as he netted a brace to put Dominion ahead, but Roger Montambeault, suddenly hot, scored to level the score as Celtic and the Lily-Whites drew. With the transfer window opening up soon lots of players are rumoured to be leaving, including a potential exodus from Sparta.

MATCHDAY 22
Laval 1-1 Cosmopolitan
(Gervais 43', McBrinn 62')
Cap Nordique 3-1 Chambly
(Franzen 12', Latraverse 25', Matis 56', Jensen 78')
Dominion 1-0 Étoile Rouge
(Thiago 59')
Sainte-Catherine 2-3 Sparta
(Christian 39', Derome 51', Belmont 70', Parekh 81', van Wiel og 84')
Montréal 1-1 Celtic
(Gélinas 50', Castonguay 68')
Tout-Puissant Outremont 2-0 Maritime
(Kulli 77', Caicedo 83')

The last round before the split table had little to play for, as all six spots for the championship had been determined already, however a few teams got put in a bigger hole after this round. Sparta got a rare win thanks to an uncomfortable Will van Wiel own goal that left Saints behind the rest of the Championship pack. At the top of the table Cosmos got a draw against battlers Laval, who fought back by attacking in waves, not their usual tactic. Cap got a big win over lowly Chambly, including Jesper Jensen's 11th goal of the season. Montréal and Celtic battled to a lethargic draw in blinding rain that led to a lot of route one long ball play.

Série A Scoring Leaders:
14- Gilbert Le Tallec (StC)
11- Jesper Jensen (CAP)
10- Huw Rhys-Evans (DOM)
9- Rodrigo Lopez (CEL)
8- François Michalak (COS), Didier Matis (CAP)

Team of the first half of the season:
GK- Thierry Junot (Montréal) Has allowed the fewest goals of anyone thusfar, and Le Tricolore are the masters of the 1-0 win. Junot usually gets a decent amount of work, although their strong defence makes it easier.
D- Salvatore Eagle III (Cosmopolitan)- The late bloomer of Cotdelapomais football, Eagle has been the anchor of the league leaders' defence all season, organising a tight unit.
D- Alessandro Buono (Montréal)- Always in the right place, truly sparkling football brain.
D- Raphaël Dubé (Celtic)- Allows their small midfield to focus exclusively on attacking, knowing that possession won't be gone too long if they come toward's Raph's side of the pitch.
MF- Gilbert Le Tallec (Sainte-Catherine)- The Valladar attacker has been hands down the best player in the league this season. Despite being 34, nobody has really figured out how to defend him, especially since focusing too much effort on him frees up Christian, Mehdi, Karl Coles and Ivandro.
MF- Jesper Jensen (Cap Nordique)- Still an elite player, he seems to be fatiguing between the rest of his club's ineptitude and the amount of matches he's played between Série A, Globe Cup, and World Cup qualifying. It's rumoured the FFC want him to go abroad this offseason to a top foreign club.
MF- Victor Flavius Kulli (Tout-Puissant Outremont)- Quietly been the best player on the much maligned but thusfar successful band of mercenaries. His 5 goals don't really tell the story, he is responsible for most of the setup play.
MF- Rodrigo Lopez (Celtic)- Everything Celtic does runs through him.
MF- David Morre (Cosmopolitan)- Defensively responsible, comfortable on the ball, probably the best possession based player in Série A.
F- Huw Rhys-Evans (Dominion)- A pure poacher, but you cannot argue with his goal scoring record this season.
F- François Michalak (Cosmopolitan)- Working harder than ever and playing deeper in order to draw defences off. Might venture abroad if he can win a championship.

FFB Premier League Season 32

Belgium FC ran away from the pack to claim their third consecutive FFB Premier League title, finishing 12 points clear of a resurgent Bloomfield National. On the other end of the table, Wye Celtic completed their collapse and were relegated together with one-and-done Sporting Boulder.

Allison Salamida, Belgium's keeper, won her second Most Valuable Player honour. Kelli Alder claimed top scorer for Belgium as well, and the Rookie of the Year ballot was tied between Baden 98 midfielder Tad Hollister and Cardiff FC keeper Rhodduw Decidavarix.

Islands Cup XXI

A new era dawned for the Islands Cup, with a format change to use two-legged ties below the semifinal stage. Coupled with the elimination of all seeds that was instituted when the FFB professional ranks grew to 64 clubs, the tournament has a longer but still exciting look.

Whitecliff Stadium in Dover saw the Islands Cup XXI final go to Cardiff FC 1-0 over Greenville Rovers in a battle of the back lines. Rovers were seeking a record fourth Cup, but could not solve Beddgelert import Rhodduw Decidavarix in the Cardiff goal. Decidavarix was named both finals man of the match and tournament most outstanding player.

Gordonopian Football Association - 2010 Season
Gordonopia Cup Semi-Finals

The Semi-Finals have been played, and two teams have emerged victorious.
West Tolten, the Southern Divisions' winner, handily defeated Latimere United, the Colonial Divisions' runner-up, 2-0. The first goal was scored in the 19th minute, just after the West Tolten goalie Derrick Schmidt made an incredible save. West Tolten held its ground, and managed to score a second goal in the 81st minute on a penalty kick, sealing their victory. Only two yellow cards were given during the game, both to Latimere. The first was given in the 21st minute after an aggressive slide tackle failed to come remotely close to the ball. The second took place in the 80th minute, inside of Latimere's goal box. West Tolten forward Donovan Mencar was fouled by West Toltens' goalie as he moved to take a shot. The resulting penalty kick produced a goal.
Gordonopia FC slugged it out against Colonial Division powerhouse Kaje Football, barely winning 2-1. The winning goal came in the 92nd minute, to thunderous applause. The goal is being called the Tyrinn Masterpiece, after the Mertag FC loaned player Nacio Kirabo skillfully maneuvered his way past two Kaje defenders, and scored on a rocketing ball from 10 meters out. The two other goals were scored in the 17th minute for Kaje, and the 48th minute for Gordonopia. Stunningly, not a single card was given during the game.
Two powerhouses will meet in the Gordonopia Cup. Gordonopia FC, an unstoppable offensive force, and West Tolten, and immovable defensive object. When the two collide, only one will emerge.

Results

West Tolten 2-0 Latimere United (2-0 agg)
