Doctrine
Modern Arcaenian military doctrine revolves around the concept of "full-spectrum superiority", the ability of the Arcaenian military operating either alone or with allies to achieve overwhelming capability overmatch against any adversary in both the virtual and physical battlespace to allow the Arcaenian military to dominate all form of military conflicts from peacekeeping and deterrence missions to counterinsurgency operations to all-out warfare. Full domain superiority divides the battlespaces into space, air, sea, land, electromagnetic, and cyber domains and involves achieving complete control over each domain through “joint interdependent forces to deny or severely restrict hostile actors the ability to exploit the battlespace to achieve their own tactical and strategic goals. To achieve full spectrum superiority the Arcaenian military stresses five separate capabilities; information superiority, joint maneuver warfare, time-critical precision engagement, intelligent logistics, and full-spectrum protection. Information superiority is the driving capability needed for full-spectrum superiority and involves the ability to accurately and rapidly collect, analyze, and disseminate information on the tactical and strategic level while denying the enemy's ability to do the same. Information superiority involves both offensive information warfare, the destruction and degradation of enemy intelligence assets and C4I infrastructure through physical, electromagnetic, and cyber attacks, and defensive information warfare, the protection of Arcaenian intelligence assets and command infrastructure against hostile attacks. Arcaenian technological capabilities which facilitate information warfare include kinetic effectors such as precision hypersonic strike weapons as well as virtual effectors such as artificial intelligence equipped computer virus and malware systems, cybernetic network attack systems, anti-virus and encryption software, and brute-force cryptanalytic attack systems. Information superiority facilitates joint maneuver warfare; the ability of dispersed Arceanian space, air, sea, and land forces through speed, operational tempo, and positional advantage to attack and destroy enemy centers of gravity across the entire depth of the battlespace.
