Yes that is correct. Genivaria seems to believe being a doctor or scientist gives your political opinion more weight. Thanks to examples like that, I disagree.

Rather than a bunch of theoretical physicists giving their opinion on foreign policy with a shiny prop in the background.
'opinion' yeah okay sure.
It's not like these kind of people know what they're talking about or anything because all opinions are equal right?

"The Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists, chaired by theoretical physicist and actual atheist Lawrence M. Krauss, announced today that President Donald Trump’s actions have moved the group’s “Doomsday Clock” to two and a half minutes ‘til midnight."
Oh shit my bad they've got a bunch atomic scientists an actual IRL atheist, and a big clock?
Look at all that foreign policy expertise.

I thought it was odd that they called him an "actual" atheist.
I know the blog is an atheist one, but, like, what are they comparing him to? A fake atheist?

So I mean to most of the voters, it probably doesn't matter, but that's Mexican companies paying for it.
Like, not Mexico's government, at least not directly (I guess it robs them of business...?), but again probably most people don't care about that minutiae being unachieved, so... yeah. :/

You were saying that because they were scientists we should take their opinion on foreign policy and other things seriously. I disagreed and provided a counter-example of an exceptionally talented man with bad opinions. Playing stupid won't help here.

Again, arrogantly dismissing claims as opinions doesn't contribute anything and is plain dishonest.
Neither does your baity condescension.

In itself it isn't very important, it means very little. It reflects the opinions of people untrained in foreign policy. There only connection to nuclear war is that they designed and built the nukes. Really they're the people we should be angry at, not the democratically elected President.

I'm not angry at them, I would like to direct you to Oppenheimer, who would love to have a word with you. The doomsday clock is meant to highlight our probability of approaching an apocalypse. They're not doing the clock on foreign policy insomuch as looking at current events around the globe, and determining their impact the climate, the potential for bombs and nuclear war. They're actually quite proficient in this, being the designers around nuclear bombs, because they not only know what these weapons do, but are who designs most of our policy on the psychological, sociological, and economic impacts, reactions, and stability of the globe in and around such devices.

Do engineers get grouped into Gern's elite class of opinion mattering more? Because we tend to be conservative, overwhelmingly

Actually it will also be paid by American people. When tariffs are increased, it causes companies to increase their prices in order to compensate for the loss in revenue.
