Yes that is correct. Genivaria seems to believe being a doctor or scientist gives your political opinion more weight. Thanks to examples like that, I disagree.

Coz you seem to be giving it some importance.

Rather than a bunch of theoretical physicists giving their opinion on foreign policy with a shiny prop in the background.

And yet to downplay its importance and meaning is rather stupid.

You were saying that because they were scientists we should take their opinion on foreign policy and other things seriously. I disagreed and provided a counter-example of an exceptionally talented man with bad opinions. Playing stupid won't help here.

News is talking about the US's plan to pay for the wall indirectly, basically, so.... yeah.

So I mean to most of the voters, it probably doesn't matter, but that's Mexican companies paying for it.

Like, not Mexico's government, at least not directly (I guess it robs them of business...?), but again probably most people don't care about that minutiae being unachieved, so... yeah. :/

Actually it will also be paid by American people. When tariffs are increased, it causes companies to increase their prices in order to compensate for the loss in revenue.

In itself it isn't very important, it means very little. It reflects the opinions of people untrained in foreign policy. There only connection to nuclear war is that they designed and built the nukes. Really they're the people we should be angry at, not the democratically elected President.

It wasn't dishonest and neither was my comment bait. You made an point and I provided a counter point. Do you have evidence these men are particularly well learned in regards to politics? Did they perhaps work for the state department or have a job at Stratfor?

I'm not angry at them, I would like to direct you to Oppenheimer, who would love to have a word with you. The doomsday clock is meant to highlight our probability of approaching an apocalypse. They're not doing the clock on foreign policy insomuch as looking at current events around the globe, and determining their impact the climate, the potential for bombs and nuclear war. They're actually quite proficient in this, being the designers around nuclear bombs, because they not only know what these weapons do, but are who designs most of our policy on the psychological, sociological, and economic impacts, reactions, and stability of the globe in and around such devices.

Anarchists talk of the authority of the bootmaker. I will bow to the theoretical physicists authority on how atoms and shit work, but not foreign policy. Their expertise in one field does not validate all opinions in other fields.

Coincidentally I've got this great youtube clip where a doctor of naturopathy tells me that climate change is a Zionist conspriacy. Want me to link it to you?

Ask Gern, I'm not sure if they count a bachelor's or master's as high enough tbh

Even if not, it's kind of a workaround of his promise (Though really, it's kinda silly regardless for the Mexican government to concede, regardless of its history, since... well, obviously they don't see a great need for a wall on that border to begin with)

They don't seem very good at it, given this election moved the clock up but the fucking Cuban Missile Crisis didn't.
