The Winds of Change
Will your empire stand the test of time?
OP: The Federation of Democratic Regions

"History is the version of past events that people have decided to agree upon."-Napoleon Bonaparte
The year is 1816. Across the whole of Ausozera, mighty empires rule over their realms while smaller nations struggle to stay afloat. Ships from the age of sail cruise the high seas, battling each other with the cannon and broadside while armies armed with muskets rule the land. Peace is a stranger to this land, as brutal conflicts and regime changes are a regular occurrence. The people are beginning to learn of democratic ideas, clamoring for reforms or taking up arms in revolution against the established monarchies of old. Domestic unrest does nothing to stop the conflict, with the Unified Isles undertaking preparations for the proud nations of Esgonia and Ratte while the splintered states that make up the present day Union of Autocratic Empires feud constantly.
To the west stands the once isolated Free Asian Ports, now a trade empire with a powerful fleet of warships. She stands surrounded by her larger neighbors, Esgonia and the warring Unionist states. Eragida is a shadow of its former self, lacking the power it used to claim while the splintered Unionist states are more concerned with the destruction of each other to care for international affairs. The nation of Ratte stands on proud Germanic military tradition and the blood of fallen patriots. Threatened by the Unified Isles, an island nation ruled by a skilled military leader, Ratte faces a conflict that could very well lead to its destruction. In the far north stand brutal empires on the frozen continent of Helsa, built on brutal military traditions. Disagreements threaten to set the continent ablaze with conflict, guaranteed to be devastating.
Welcome to The Winds of Change, a roleplay based in the Napoleonic era. The roleplay will largely focus on military matters and conflict over diplomacy but will include a little bit of everything.
