What's this new US president's view on Assad?

Idea is that she's no Pro-Assad but sees the Syrian government as a neutral entity. She'll let you and Russia fuck up the rebels in Aleppo and Idlib while we help the Kurds fuck ISIS up its preverbal ass. The overall idea is to help establish a pan-Arab coalition to launch a major ground campaign to oust ISIS from Syria and Iraq with the partition of Iraq and the negotiation of trying to establish a democratic election which would hopefully be agreed upon in part by Russia and Syria. While we don't want to oust Assad we'd like to see a democraticly elected legislature.

But this is like a policy fantasy and we've got plans A, B, and C's to fullfil any strategic and tactical situation.

While riding together, their convoy was attacked by apparent cartel members armed to the teeth, gunning down guards and the two figureheads before anyone could react. The assailants were all killed in the ensuing gunfight, along with dozens of civilians. An international crisis followed that destroyed what little face the PRI could show to Mexico's allies, while riots broke out in Mexico City calling for a change. Secretary of Interior assumed the presidency and called for emergency elections before stepping down and allowing a third party position to take provisional office. He declared the country on a state of emergency until after the elections.

This turned out to be the left's chance, as Manuel Lopez Obrador fulfilled his promise to run a third and last time after being defeated twice before(one time by less than 0.56%). With his constant campaigning over the years and promises to take a more liberal and peaceful approach to the drug war, grow the economy, end corruption and violence, he won by a landslide of more than 20 points over the next candidate. Now, with his inauguration earlier in the month, he has inherited a country on the brink of collapse.

One paragraph history of your country, faction, or unit: In the year 2006, civil wars in Sierra Leone Liberia flared up once again, this time spilling over into neighboring Guinea as rebel groups. Naturally, the Guinean Government was not pleased by this, and mobilized to invade the two embattled countries. Unfortunately, the situation grew worse as the conflict made it's way up the coast, encompassing Guinea-Bissau, Senegal, and the Gambia. This led to various groups taking advantage of the situation. Such group was the African Liberation Party, a group originally based out of Gambia made up of natives who had lived abroad and foreign borns. The organization had progressive leaning ideals, but also with flavors of pan-africanist and socialist idealogies.

At first, this group had little traction, as their ideas didn't mesh well with the mostly conservative populations. But as the war continued and more devastating. Many looked towards the ALP as the other factions in the war failed to secure victory. Membership began to rise and the ALP expanded their territory. By 2008, the ALP had gone from controlling meager eastern Gambia, to marching on Dakar as a partnership with the Casamance rebels in southern Senegal had boosted their territory, allowed for an offensive into the rest of Gambia, and had allowed for a strike at the Senegalese Army's flank as they battled other groups in the North. The quickly took hold of the advantage the situation and rushed through the rest of the nations. By 2010, the ALP had taken control of the wartorn areas. While reconstruction has been ahead of schedule. There is still a lot to be done.
