If you know that you will receive the same portion of the final production however hard you work, or even if you do not work at all, what incentive is there to work especially hard? Oh, surely the idea of a "Greater Good" may work to motivate some, at least for a time, but most humans like direct compensation. They like knowing they will be recognized if they work harder than the rest.
Not even Marx believed those who did not work should receive a portion, unless they were unable. The problem is, most modern so-called Communists are less Communists than lazy people who want literally everything in life handed to them at their neighbor's expense.
I despise freeloaders. I have a cousin who is crippled by disease, and she goes out of her way to be productive and helpful.Federal Standard Time| REPLY |
