Had a long day. Coworkers took over and told me to go rest, so I run to the bathroom, thinking I'll just take the time to clear out all my toxins there and get better. Nope, get worse. Body keeps trying to throw up, nothing comes out, and I start getting extremely debilitating cramps to the point where I'm sweating, shaking, and pretty damn sure I can't get up and walk despite being on the clock. Literally had no other choice but to just curl up on the stall floor. Was walked in on by a typical group of happy-go-lucky park-goers who went from cheer to pure horror when they saw one of the park employees curled up into a little ball of agony on the bathroom floor. Being a tad on the younger side, was immediately closely fretted over by the mothers of the group, "Are you okay honey? Where does it hurt? Here, there? Oh jee, abdomen pains, those aren't a good sign, you might need to go to the ER." (very reassuring, thank you)

Older children of the group retrieved several coworkers to escort me out to the First Aid clinic where I was allowed to drink water and just lay on a be for thirty minutes while shaking and baring through my stomach pains. Was offered to be allowed to go home, turned it down just to see how I would feel (also felt crappy about the idea of leaving everyone else with the work). Slowly, just laying there, got better. Was told that if it happened again to just come back and they would send me home.

Was perfect for the rest of the day. I assume it was a combination of the horrible heat and a certain time of month, but damn it was scary at the time.

Mother was not pleased when she picked me up and heard the story.

"Why did you stay?! You should have called me! I would have picked you up!"
"Because I had to work till 8."
"But still!"
"Because I was fine for the rest of the day."
"But still!"
"Because it takes like an hour for you to get here."
"But still!"
"Because you were in the middle of work at the time too."
"BUT STILL!!!!"

Moral of the story: Drink water, kids. You think just because you had some like 10 minutes ago you'll be fine? Nnnnnnnnnnnope. Summer in the midwest don't play that shit.

 Poor Gio.

Look at the color of your pee tonight. If it's dark, you're dehydrated. If it's not, it might be something worse. Don't take a chance with abdominal pain. It could be anything from a virus to a twisted bowel. *solemn nod* /motherly advice.

Hang in there, Gio and Mon.

Healer group, we now have someone unconscious, with vivid audiovisual hallucinations.
Aka dreaming.
Come to the light side.  We have teamwork, waffles, popcorn, grape juice, and way too much ramen.

Unless one is a genealogist, therapist, geneticist, or FBI agent - who is acting within the scope of their job - to claim that anyone is wrong about their own identity is not merely absurd but also extremely rude.

Species (nation personification, human, alien, etc): Human

Age: 29

Appearance: English, 176 cm.

URL to Character Picture, if any: Julia Harker

Primary Objective: (What is your character's main goal? This should be the thing that drives their part of the plot.)To her, Gallimaufry is a strange new world. Not quite fit in, despite not having "typical nice girl" personality. She drives to make her fit in the society as well as, somehow, try to make use of her learned skills in practice for the better of the world. If possible.

Prior to arriving on the world, she wants to figure out how to live in this new world, and how to use her skills in this new world.

Secondary Objectives: (What other goals does your character intend to achieve? These should drive subplots.) Fit in the society in Gallimaufry.

MUNDANE SKILLS
List Mundane skills here:
-Basic Marksmanship
-Drive a car
-Speaking English and Afrikaans
-Cooking
-Housekeeping
-Charismatic

SPECIALIZED SKILLS AND TALENTS

Ability 1 and Points Spent: Piloting helicopter/rotary (3)
Ability 2 and Points Spent: Baritsu (3)
Ability 3 and Points Spent: First Aid (1)

OPTIONAL SUPERNATURAL CHARACTERISTICS
You have 7 points to spend here on supernatural skills or abilities. Sonic Scream, Levitation, Spell Casting, Shape Shifting etc. Superman MUST have his kryptonite, so Restrictions are what can't they do with their power or what balances it. They can only use it when they genuinely need it? They can't use it for more then five minutes without serious side-effects? Some things are allowed without points. A pegasus has wings thus it can fly. A raptor is fast thus no points are spent in speed. These "natural" abilities should be listed in the character's description, however.
Ability 1: Extreme Agility (years of piloting really useful you know)
Power Level: 4
Strengths:
-Extreme Dexterity - Better fighting ability, landing planes safely and faster, controlling herself in fight. Being faster, of course.
Weaknesses:
-15 minutes of use, and then need to recharge for about 45 minutes.
Restrictions:
-Dodging machine guns is impossible, landing planes in a shaky area is impossible.

MAGICAL OR SPECIAL ITEMS
List:
- RAF's Guide of Piloting = Piloting manual guide, for advanced and basic piloting
-A loaded Beretta.

BACKGROUND
Education or Training: 5 years of service in RAF and University of Liverpool's Business Degree from the School of Management
Character Background/Biography:

Born in Leicester, Jennifer is the only daughter in a family of military, with 4 older brothers so it is safe to say that she was born with a very disciplined but loving family. Most of her family members, except for her mother, approved of her decision to joined the military. She graduated from college with a degree in Business, though it was mostly just for alternative choice in case she was refused to joined, which was not happened, thankfully.

Known for her connections mostly, nevertheless she rose up to the ranks of Sergeant and was quite known for her skills in piloting, mostly helicopter and few aircraft roles, though mostly applied in piloting. Beside piloting, she learned other military training, like marksmanship and combat training.

Her service ended when on 2009, she was involved in an affair with a Colonel in an attempt to rose up ranks, finally showing her darker side of personality, ambitious and reckless, probably because she felt inferior in her ranks with her brothers. Dishonorably discharged, she retreated to South Africa where she worked for a local PMC as pilot for transportation and rescue, most of the time.

How she ended up here? One time, she was stuck in a storm while riding in her helicopter. Next thing she knew, she was in the planet, with the book and a loaded handgun.

PERSONIFICATION LIFE
CHARACTER APPLICATION

PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS
Character Name: Jay din Suriah, prefers being called Jay

Character Gender: Male

Species (nation personification): Human, National Personification of the United Kingdoms of Danceria

Age: (Physically) 19 (Actually): Varies, the Kingdoms go united since the early 14th century, but civilization persisted long before then...

Appearance: Usually dresses in nice but casual clothes, always seems to be wearing jeans. Approx 180.34cm

URL to Character Picture, if any: add some green eyes to this and you're golden!

Primary Objective: (What is your character's main goal? This should be the thing that drives their part of the plot.) He wants to feel loved, years of being jostled about as a pawn on the geopolitical chessboard has rendered him somewhat cynical of those in power, however, he just wants to have friends to call his own, and possibly a girlfriend. Jay just wants to do the right thing.

Secondary Objectives: (What other goals does your character intend to achieve? These should drive subplots.) Get a job, a flat, and the usual "life" goals. Eventually wants to take up theater again, but not opposed to working odd jobs. Has his heart on getting either a karaoke machine or a puppy.

MUNDANE SKILLS
These do NOT require points. These are the average, daily things your character can do. Examples are "drive a car", "speak a normal Foreign Language", "play a guitar", "write poetry". Some mundane skills come from your bio and are freebie. A soldier knows very basic training (shoot a gun, basic drill). Medic, martial arts or sniper would be a Specialized Skill or Talent.
List Mundane skills here:
Fluent in Spanish, Italian, German, Greek, and Portuguese, Japanese, Arabic, Turkish, and learning several more languages.
Able to write poetry, though mostly in English (he's learning how to write poetry in different languages, and is picking up on how to write haikus)
He has his driver's licence, so...yeah.
Hunting/Understanding of basic Personal Carry (he knows his way around a rifle and a revolver, but he's no gunslinger)
Cooking: Sautees and slice almost anything nice, he prefers a home cooked meal over fast food (but hey, McRonald's is a great burger joint)
Gardening: He grows his own food!
Singing: Self explanatory, baritone/bass
Musical Instruments: Piano, violin and guitar are his strongest suits

SPECIALIZED SKILLS AND TALENTS
These are specialized skills that set you apart from the average person. You have 7 points to spend here. Examples are swordsmanship, sniper, coercion, piloting etc.
Ability 1 and Points Spent: Swordsmanship (2 points)
Ability 2 and Points Spent: Sailing (1 point)
Ability 3 and Points Spent: Martial Arts (2 points)
Ability 4 and Points Spent: Diplomacy/Charisma(2 points)

Ability 1:
Power Level: 1 point
Strengths: from feathers to fallen bridges, Jay can lift it! He usually uses it to get far away objects or "grip" ledges and pushes him to said edge
Weaknesses: mass and density of said item, and how long he can hold it
Restrictions: Again, requires concentration, can lift only 6 items at max (all roughly the size of a Kia Soul), however items larger than that require more concentration and are physically taxing

Ability 2: Battle Channel
Power Level: 2 points
Strengths: Give him a close combat weapon, and he can channel energy into said weapon for blasts and taser-like shocks
Weaknesses: Not quite effective in close quarters combat
Restrictions: again, tunnel vision and requires a normally metallic or conductive material

Ability 3: Enchant/Rune Magic
Power Level: 3 Points
Strengths: From Traps to recording, these multipurpose magical markings are a mage's best friend. Eventually can be transferred healing and physical augmentation on the human body.
Weaknesses: If someone sees it, someone can smash it. It only has a limited charge and even if Jay could "link" his magic to the rune, it's physically taxing and could result in it backfiring (literally)
Restrictions: Requires nearly 4 days of preparation beforehand.

Ability 4: Combat Bolt
Power Level: 1 point
Strengths: Anything that's metal or can be conducted, more lethal that way
Weaknesses: Water, or the open air, not quite as effective
Restrictions: requires near tunnel vision and a flight or fight adrenaline rush

MAGICAL OR SPECIAL ITEMS
List: 1(One) Ancient falchion-type sword, usually enchanted to enhance magical blasts. 1(one) Walking-type staff

BACKGROUND
Education or Training: He's been around since roughly 3600 BC in one form or another, and as a result has a wide knowledge of tactical and close combat skills. Since 800 AD, he's been gradually more and more interested in academic pursuits, and has taken up a wide variety of jobs. Merchant, pirate, actor, professor, writer, poet, singer, he is more creatively endowed than logically. Millennia of existence have taught him assertiveness and patience, with an attention to detail and networking between people
Character Background/Biography: The earliest record of Danceria was in the 8th century AD, said to have been born from the various Dancerian clans and kingdoms defending themselves against the Elvish invaders from the south. For nearly six centuries afterwords, he knew only of war and battle, until the 14th century when Danceria was united under the seafaring and mercantile Solin Dynasty. Then he began to understand that life's problems cannot be solved with incessant war, and he traveled much of Ainur (region/planet) in search of knowledge. Jay developed from a cold and introverted warrior, to an outgoing aficionado of artistic understanding. During the 15th and 16th centuries, he brought with him Renaissance knowledge and prosperity that Danceria had never known before. Fast forward to present day, Danceria still is the open minded youth he was all those centuries ago, becoming a beacon of culture, tourism, and arms manufacturing. However, with Danceria prospering more and more without his intervention, the young man felt some sort of mid life crisis... If he was no longer capable of helping the people he so loved, what is he good for? Following the footsteps of other personifications, he has found himself here, whistling a merry tune as he entered yet another adventure with his head held high and hope in his heart.

OTHER GAME MECHANICS
URL to Apartment Picture: (What's the inside of their apartment look like) modern and PMT/Futuristic Tech.
Link to RP examples: (this MUST be a DIRECT LINK to your IC post in an RP, NOT a link to the RP thread itself. If you don't have examples, make your biography good.) I hope this bio is to your liking, I don't entirely know how to link up an individual post to this.

IMPORTANT:
One paragraph that sums up your character. This paragraph is what we'll use on your player tab on the first page of the thread. This MUST be brief. Your tab will contain a link to your application so people will have full details
Character Name: Jay
Brief Description: Casual yet courteous, this outgoing young man may seem quiet on the outside, but he is gregarious with those who are close with him. Ever the optimist, he sees an opportunity in all things, and his kind heart often gets him in trouble. His empathy often causes him stress as he tends to worry more about others than himself, and he upholds himself and at times others to a high moral code.

Some things I noticed...

Lifting six things the size of a Kia Soul isn't a 1. It's at least a 4.

I am terrible at eyeball measuring things.

Bolt is a bolt of pure energy, a Channel is like using your magic to enhance your weapon or inflict a certain type of damage.

A young girl with medium blonde hair carried her duffle bag, backpack, and rolled the suitcase that contained her few belongings. Her clothes were conservative, but nevertheless what you would see on a hardworking young woman. By all accounts, she was an average (though some might say, especially beautiful) highschooler, nothing out of the ordinary. However, the young woman knew that there was something in the air... It wasn't the summer breeze, or the smell of Lake Superior, the clear skies or the optimistic vibe of the university that was magical.
It was rather the fact that Lewis had unzipped the duffle bag and was walking about as excited as she was. She chuckled at the baby Chimera acting his age in a new place, and she knew that this was like home in Everett, Washington...
A place of magic, a place to learn, a place to enjoy life...
She glanced about the campus to see the various students already meeting with each other, professors, and getting acquainted with the grounds. The young woman drew her eyes to the woman who sat under the shade of a tree off the beaten path. The woman, seeming to be only slightly older than her, sat with a noticeably bright red garb. It was simple in design, but the new student could understand that she was of an ancient magical house. Perhaps a member of the faculty itself. The latter observation was made as Lewis ran up to the woman, who upon closer inspection was cradling a drakeling. Sophia followed after Lewis, ready to apologize and help him out if the young drake was not as playful as Lewis hoped he would be. Taking a beaten road, she entered the shade of the tree and smiled warmly at the woman.

IMPORTANT:

Character Name: Jay
Brief Description: Casual yet courteous, this outgoing young man may seem quiet on the outside, but he is gregarious with those who are close with him. Ever the optimist, he sees an opportunity in all things, and his kind heart often gets him in trouble. His empathy often causes him stress as he tends to worry more about others than himself, and he upholds himself and at times others to a high moral code.

You can just update your original profile, that way it'll be easier to link to if the character is approved.

I would like to point out that his secondary objectives are a bit mundane - they don't really hold up well to being carried out as stories or used as motivations in stories. Gallimaufry is a very action-oriented place, not necessarily in the sense of violence but in the sense that "slice of life" exists but takes a back seat to plot-heavy elements like questing, advancing the main God War, and acquiring resources to achieve other character's own goals.

The primary objective is, likewise, rather mundane for the setting. It's not necessarily a bad thing to want to be loved - but it doesn't appear as though he has any trouble with finding love. While you do state that he has been used as a geopolitical chess piece and is a bit cynical, this doesn't seem to come out in his biography nor in any of his character traits or skills. He's stated to be "the open minded youth he was all those centuries ago", and that doesn't make for compelling romantic play, at least as far as I can see.

Altito Asmoro wrote:-snip-

Primary objective is long and muddled, needs to be refined so that other players and the OP can figure out how best to fit your character into their plots so that she can also undergo character development. As it stands, the best and most grounded goal is her wanting to opening a piloting school. It's concrete, it gives her something she can work toward, and it lets other players know that, hey, if this goal fits in with what they're doing maybe she should be invited (into the city, for instance, to obtain a permit to open a piloting school). Refine your primary objective further so that it's clear what her current purpose is and what she'll be striving toward.

Secondary goal is way too vague - does she want to fit in culturally, find a niche in the city, learn magic to fit in with the mages, etc. What, to her, is 'fitting in'? Secondary goals should either directly oppose (to create conflict and complication) or complement (to flesh out the character's nuances) primary goals. 'Fitting in' does neither - it doesn't oppose her desire to open a piloting school but it also doesn't complement that desire since there's no need for her to fit in in order to render a service that people would be willing to pay for.

Also, where did her extreme dexterity come from? As far as I can tell from her biography, she's a regular garden-variety human who did military service and was a contractor at one point. That doesn't give you the ability to dodge bullets. It's a fine ability, but there needs to be some reasonable explanation for where it came from - science experiment gone wrong, alien from another dimension trying to fit in, sueprhuman serum, etc - otherwise it just looks jarring.

Well, I want to start small considering a) I have no idea where I'm headed and b) would like to make up my goals as I go along. Since there are some quests I'll edit the main goal to make it simple (considering this is my first time on Gallumfrey(?))

As far as I see, that kind of plan for character goals is perfectly fine as it keeps plans fluid and flexible as the setting can change character perspectives.

Powers are interesting as well. Much possibilities. Cer has been out for awhile and he alone approves apps. Hopefully by the weekend if all is well.

Also, welcome!!! :)

Cer should be on later this evening after dinner. He's got a lot of catching up to do.

I won't weigh in on apps since my advice would be identical to everyone else's.

BUT... dexterity/dodge bullets. Without a power to detect the bullet (special vision, special hearing, the ability to sense the projectile), it would be impossible to gauge where the bullet is. Other supportive abilities are necessary, such as balance. But the dexterity works well for flying a craft, etc.

Plenty. Galli has a bunch of interesting areas: the characters live within walking distance of the Freywold, a magic-rich area. We're an hour's drive from a major city which is a high-tech playground... with a gritty underside.

Things I'm planning:
  • Some espionage stories. The tone will usually be serious, but the feel will mostly be glam. Dressed to kill, and licensed for it, too.
  • That gritty underside? One of my characters has ideas about that. Mobsters and mayhem, but quiet-like and out of sight of the press.
  • My other character will be playing in the Freywold, and going on a few other adventures. I haven't decided who he's gonna take for all of those, so there's probably room for new characters on at least a couple of them.

PERSONIFICATION LIFE
CHARACTER APPLICATION

PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS
Character Name: Charumati (Nope, not the one you're thinking of.)

Character Gender: female

Species: avatar

Age: unknown

Appearance:

URL to Character Picture, if any: Charumati

Primary Objective: Come to terms with needing to "start over". Her original quest has not been fulfilled: what does it mean to be human? What are the masks we wear? Who was the true monster... Hyde or Jekyll?

Secondary Objectives: Now forced back into the place she thought she'd escaped, Charu must reestablish herself while coming to terms with the historical traces left by her other self. She'll seek out people to suit her needs, of course.

MUNDANE SKILLS
List Mundane skills here:
Polyglot due to followership purposes(approved by OP)
Knits
Cooks
Drives a car
Avid amateur historian (having lived through most of it)

SPECIALIZED SKILLS AND TALENTS
Manage a high-end restaurant and bar: 3
Research: 4

OPTIONAL SUPERNATURAL CHARACTERISTICS
A note regarding this old character: Charumati seldom used her powers for anything other than traveling, or completing small tasks in daily life when on a tight schedule. At times she might use her powers for comic value. Bear in mind, she always was and still has Eldritch physiology.

Not all powers are listed, per OP instruction. Levels are not listed, per OP instruction. I'm dropping this app in, per OP instruction. I think the OP has gone 'round the twist.

Ability 1: Containment sphere
Power Level: CoOP Tool
Strengths: A pocket dimension contained within a sphere. Dimension properties depending upon creator's whim.
Weaknesses:
Restrictions: OP imposed via discussion.

Ability 2: Teleportation
Power Level:
Strengths: She can teleport. Woo.
Weaknesses: She, like all the other gods and powerful beings (sans Gio) can NOT teleport out of Demens' dimension, nor into it. She has to use a Gate. Too bad for her.
Restrictions: As above.

Ability 3: Summon Zalgo
Power Level:
Strengths: Summon Zalgo, people!
Weaknesses: Can't summon Zalgo outside of Zalgo summoning season? I dunno. It's not really a power. More like shtick.
Restrictions: Only used for Zalgofests per OP whim. Can't summon him at any other time.

MAGICAL OR SPECIAL ITEMS
List:
A few books
A jar with spare matrix in it
Her old "lab/lair" in the Chaos quarters
Those tanks with clones in them (already in setting)
A bunch of annoying lizards (already in setting)

BACKGROUND
Character Background/Biography: Once upon the time, there was an avatar. That avatar went on a trip and landed outside the cosmic cup. What she discovered there is her own knowledge to keep. And keep it, she does. You see, she returned to the cosmos and attempted to share what she had discovered... and that lead to an entire war within her pantheon. Everyone trying to kill everyone else. Messy business. So she fled. But I'm getting ahead of myself.

Charu hasn't always been in the present day or age. Again, this goes back in history. Predates humanity, in fact. After her initial formation, she settled with her three brothers in an area that is now part of India (ergo they are called the India Set). There they existed for the longest time, in one form or another, before being drawn into humanity's nonsense by one of Vishnu's avatars. And thus the siblings finally took human form, and all sorts of skullfuckery broke out.

The ages passed, and Charu and Ogoti become very close, much to the disdain of their brother, Atosh. He conspired to drive them apart, only managing to piss off everyone in the process. His trifling become so overwhelming that even Chanpreet (the avatar of the God of Conspiracy) couldn't stomach it anymore. But it wasn't until Atosh managed to grievously wound Charumati that all hell broke loose. Ogoti, normally so grandfatherly and patient, released a plague upon the land to punish all those who called Atosh their god. The three turned upon their brother with a vengeance that might have destroyed the earth were it not for the sudden arrival of something entirely unexpected... the Germanic Set.

We won't get into all this backstory. The damn RP lasted eight years before ever touching upon PL's shores. Needless to say, shit went down, the Sets became horribly manged and mingled, and the end result was banishment for the lot of them. And now we go back to the beginning when Charu accidentally landed outside the cosmic cup. It was at that point that she discovered what was happening, and avowed to lend her hand. As a chaotic being, That From Which She Comes took it upon itself to assist beings such as Pearlelei in their quest to repair was was being undone.

As for Charumati? She was minding her own tasks when summoned (quite by accident) to the dimension by a young, lost conscript named Bran. His accidental feat thrust her into the midst of some idiotic characters, though there were also plenty of fantastic ones. She quickly befriended the velociraptor, NVE, and Bones and his Brothers. They asked her what her name was. She replied with where she had last been, and then told them to call her whatever they pleased. So "Swith" stuck. And the story continued without much purpose until such time as Atosh tracked her silly ass down. Then she died.

Literally.

The Residents launched a quest to restore her, and they succeeded. But what they brought back was a shadow of its former self. And that self does not concern THIS Charumati. You see, THIS Charumati is what you get when That From Which You've Been Spawned suddenly notices that you've gone missing. And THAT Charumati has gone missing. The remnants of the avatar formerly known as Sutra were put to good use in reforming the fully fleshed Charu... luckily Naomi was trapped in Demens' dimension. This current Charumati has no recollection of anything that transpired after her death (meaning, for those of you old enough to remember it, she does not recall anyone going into the Void to piece her back together).

She might have drifted along with old friends aimlessly enough to suit her needs, were it not for Demens himself. Oh, he wasn't done with Miss Charumati. Not at all done. And so she found herself exactly where she did NOT want to be... among the Residents once more.

PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS
Character Name: Julia Harker

Character Gender: Female

Species (nation personification, human, alien, etc): Human

Age: 29

Appearance: English, 176 cm.

URL to Character Picture, if any: Julia Harker

Primary Objective: (What is your character's main goal? This should be the thing that drives their part of the plot.)To her, Gallimaufry is a strange new world. Not quite fit in, despite not having "typical nice girl" personality. She drives to make her fit in the society as well as, somehow, try to make use of her learned skills in practice for the better of the world. If possible.

Or just be ambitious and be powerful, but that is hardly possible. Opening a piloting school sounds good, though.

Secondary Objectives: (What other goals does your character intend to achieve? These should drive subplots.) Fit in the society in Gallimaufry.

MUNDANE SKILLS
List Mundane skills here:

SPECIALIZED SKILLS AND TALENTS

Ability 1 and Points Spent: Piloting (3)
Ability 2 and Points Spent: Businesswoman (2)
Ability 3 and Points Spent: First Aid (2)
Ability 4 and Points Spent:

Ability 1: Extreme Dexterity (years of piloting really useful you know)
Power Level: 4
Strengths:
-Extreme Dexterity - Able to dodge bullets, landing planes safely and faster, controlling herself in fight.

Character Name: Julia Harker
Brief Description: A former British RAF pilot and not your typical "sweet nice gentle girl".

Specialized Skills and Talents:
- Bartitsu would need to be a point-allotted skill. The average person doesn't pull it off well, even at a basic level, and some training in involved. What I suggest is stripping out "dodging bullets" dexterity and replacing it with agility to support her martial art. Bartitsu draws upon boxing, but also footwork and use of a stick/cane. Agility will serve her better.

As nouns the difference between dexterity and agility is that dexterity is skill in performing tasks, especially with the hands. Agility is the quality of being agile; the power of moving the limbs quickly and easily; nimbleness; activity; quickness of motion; as, strength and agility of body.

- Piloting: what sort? Multi-engine, single-engine, rotary? I'm guessing rotary as she's fond of helicopters.

All characters enter the setting the same way (we send a team through a dimensional gate to retrieve them). She won't have her helicopter but we do have two at the Building and we're lacking the pilots. What were her goals prior to arriving? These won't change the instant she enters the setting. They'll influence how she responds and adapts, however.

If you can make those changes, I'll approve her.

Also, in looking over your RP samples: PL posts are written past-tense.

Weaknesses: mass and density of said item, and how long he can hold it
Restrictions: n00b skill is n00b.

Ability 2: Battle Channel
Power Level: 2 points
Strengths: Give him a close combat weapon, and he can channel energy into said weapon for blasts and taser-like shocks
Weaknesses: Not quite effective in close quarters combat

Taketh dos.

Mundane skills: "Fluent in Spanish, Italian, German, Greek, and Portuguese, Japanese, Arabic, Turkish, and learning several more languages." Polyglot requires points spent in basic skills. This is because he's using several language families. Also, you didn't list English. He'll have some difficulty communicating without it.

Personifications are weird. The national spirit of the people. While it's tempting to say he's been around since 3600 BC because people have lived there that long, the Kingdoms didn't unite until the early 14th century. It would make sense that he sprung from the zeal and patriotism of this newly formed nation. In comparison, a personification of China or India might be thousands of years old. The personification of the US would be nearly 230-240 years old. The personification of the Cherokee nation, which was nearly destroyed, would be older than the US personification, but he/she also might not even exist anymore.

It's been commented on previously but I'll touch upon it here as well. "Make friends, find a girlfriend" don't work as goals. Not for a character this old. We do have characters involved in romantic relationships but those relationships blossomed secondary to actual goals and over the course of time. It might help to decide what's kept him from "doing the right thing" or from having relationships. That hindrance would need to be overcome. That would be a better goal than "wants to feel loved".

Don't make goals to fit the situation. Use existing goals to react to the situation. He's a personification so his goals would tie into his nation. What do they pride most? What do they stand for? What matters to them? What angers them? How do they go about promoting their ideals? Are the people weak and timid? Are they aloof? Are they brash? Are they overly PC, or are they intolerant of things outside their own beliefs?

For example, if my nation had a personification, he would manifest three distinct traits: he would be devout, he would be clever regarding machinery and technology, and he would be a quick tempered fighter. His people came thisclose to suffering complete genocide, so his mistrust of others would be extremely high. His loyalty to his friends would sometimes clash with his desire to be left completely alone. His goal would be to find ways to implement his technical know-how in order to better the lives of those around him. He'd have complete intolerance of anything not socialist, and wouldn't respect any leadership that wasn't elected based upon their intelligence. His goal would be to find a way to tone down his attitude in order to be a positive influence. But, mostly, he'd desire to find a way home. Secondary goals would include finding ways to adapt his basic needs to fit this new social setting, and perhaps open up a brewery.

To be honest, my ghostly soldier idea was almost a personification, as I was tempted by the similarities to the two iterations of a Torsiedellie personification I once played. Both were old, anti-social and aggressive military types; Torsiedelle is a militarized nation that looks down on other races and has a long history of warfare and fanatic nationalism. I also think that the idea of a ghostly soldier rising once again coincided a little too nicely with the sudden course I've decided to take with my nation today.

Being Nazi-allied in WWII probably didn't help.

Finally...days off to get much needed rest...

Gio, I will buy you and send you a pistol belt with two canteens if it means you not getting dehydrated at work. Blah blah blah water important blah blah blah you know the drill, not gonna tell you what you already know but we don't want to worry about you almost dying, y'know?

On the other side of that, be sure not to OVERhydrate as well. You'll know if you drink so much water that you'll start actually getting sick of drinking it. Getting some lemonade packets is a good way to keep other nutrients in your system. They have stuff like that in our MREs and it works. Don't taste too good but hey, can't argue.

We're family here. And I pretty much just wrote this up really late into the issue because I'm still not getting enough sleep. I fix that tonight.

CHARACTER APPLICATION

PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS

-Basic Marksmanship
-Basic Baritsu
-Drive a car
-Speaking English and Afrikaans

SPECIALIZED SKILLS AND TALENTS

Ability 1 and Points Spent: Piloting (3)
Ability 2 and Points Spent: Businesswoman (2)
Ability 3 and Points Spent: First Aid (2)
Ability 4 and Points Spent:

Ability 1: Extreme Dexterity (years of piloting really useful you know)
Power Level: 4
Strengths:
-Extreme Dexterity - Able to dodge bullets, landing planes safely and faster, controlling herself in fight.

Also, in looking over your RP samples: PL posts are written past-tense.

.

Alright. Also, the RP samples is fine despite not in past tense, Cer? I mean I have the ones in past-tense, but not...as long as this one.
