In November, 2016, the world was forever changed. As temperatures began to drop, people went about their lives, unbothered by a few scattered reports of a new sickness that caused people to become violent, and hungry. November 16th, a Wednesday, the infection spread, having laid dormant within millions until that day. Suddenly, there were millions of Infected shambling through the streets, eating anyone they could find. Reports of Safe Zones began to broadcast on all emergency channels, one in each state. The challenge? Getting to them.

In the rainy state of Washington, the immune people, you, struggle to find their way to the Whidbey Island Safe Zone, at Fort Casey. The reports say that ferries travel back and forth between Whidbey and the mainland hourly to take people to the island, then military trucks will take people without vehicles to the Safe Zone.

The RP will start right after the infection has started.

[Terintania]

Infected: Feel free to have your characters label each infected type as they would. Later stages of infected will show up later in the RP. Middle Stage is basically like, mid-mutation.
-Normal Infected: Your typical, slow zombie type infected. Most common type. Eat people and shamble around. Look like your typical newly undead person. Early Stage of infection.
-Runners: Runners are like typical infected, but fast. They can run faster than a typical person, so outsmart them, or kill them fast. Second most common. Slightly more lithe than typical infected. Early stage of infection.
-Stalkers: Stalkers walk on their hands and knees, and prefer to stalk their prey for a while before leaping from cover. They are able to climb well, but due to their bodies are still humanoid, and how they walk on hands and knees, they’re not particularly fast. Moderately common infected. Early stage of infection.
-Braniacs: Smart infected. While they have no capacity to feel emotions, nor have any personality or individuality, they have the capacity to think, and plan. Very rare, and extremely dangerous. Look like typical infected, but with clear, human eyes. Later stage of infection.
-Hives: Hives are able to have a hive-mind connection with any and all nearby infected, meaning they are able to summon nearby infected to them. They become extra dangerous when in the same area as a Braniac, as the Braniac allows the Hives to co-ordinate any and all nearby infected in an orderly fashion. Extremely rare, hardly ever seen. Level of danger varies from hardly, to extremely, depending on given situation. They typically have somewhat enlarged heads. Later stage of infection.
-Burrowers: Burrowers burrow into the ground, and feel vibrations through the earth to guide them, such as sound vibrations from talking. They spend most of their time underground, waiting. They are rare, late-stage infected, and they are generally thin, twitchy and covered in dirt. They have clawed fingers to help with digging, and are completely blind.



Infected Animals: Yes, Animals can be infected and mutated as well. Note that pictures are more of a 'general' look then actually perfect examples of what they look like. Such as, there may be some features they have that aren't in the pictures, such as Sabre teeth or leather wings.
Early Stage: Early Stage infected animals are basically undead animals, with said animal’s natural abilities. However, they are rabid, and even the herbivores have gotten a taste for live meat. They are as common as any animal, and as dangerous as any normal rabid animal.

Late Stage:
-HellHound: Late-stage infected canines. Generally dogs or wolves. Hypersensitive to the smell of live flesh, and the sounds of life, not only does one have to watch out for their enhanced strength, but their bites cause the wound to fester, and flesh to die around the bite.Moderately rare, and dangerous. They usually travel in packs and look like rotted, undead versions of whatever type of canine they were prior to mutation.
-Swarmers: Late-Stage infected birds, excluding Eagles and Hawks. These infected birds specialize in swarming, as the name states. They gather together in huge swarms, looking for signs of life, then swarm on the life, shredding flesh with their serrated beaks. Finding a swarm is very rare, but when you do, you will be facing hundreds, if not thousands of them. They dislike light, and so they only come out at night, and can be deterred by flashlights, at least long enough to get to cover. They can also be heard from a ways off in a horrible cacophony of squeaks and shrieks. They look like undead version of whatever bird they were, but with leathery wings and sharp, serrated beaks.
-Divers: Divers are Late-stage infected Hawks, Eagles, and other big birds of prey. The infection has made them grow even more in size, and their preferred attack is to dive-bomb their targets at fast speeds, going for the eyes and neck with beak and talon until the target is dead, then they will land to feast on the corpse. They are uncommon, and look like an undead version of what they were, with leathery wings. They are generally found one at a time, and can be detected by a disturbing shriek before they dive.
-Prowlers: Prowlers are mutated big, wild cats. They become sleek and stealthy, and their claws are long and serrated, their fangs elongated like a Sabre-tooth’s. They are fast and silent, striking from the shadows. They are very rare, depending on the location. They look like undead versions of what they were, but generally more lithe and sleek.
-Slashers: Slashers are mutated cats, like house cats. Like their larger cousins, their claws become long and serrated. However, they are still the size of normal house cats, and they counter this by gathering together. They are fast and quiet, and you may find yourself suddenly piled on by deadly cats. They are uncommon, and look like undead cats.
-Puffs: Puffs are mutated rabbits. They are deceivingly cute, and tend to be really fluffy and snuggly looking, and act passive until they get close to someone, then they will attack with their mouth full of razor sharp fangs, their bite enough to make someone quite ill for some time. They are uncommon. They are all deceivingly fluffy, more so than most normal rabbits, and have big, innocent eyes. They come in all colors, but the most common is white with red eyes.

Bio: Elizabeth, who prefers to be referred to as Effy, a name she chose for herself, is a girl who generally seems to just blow life off and its responsibilities. She barely gives a shit in school, more enjoying messing around and having fun than actually doing school. Somehow though, she still got her work done, not getting expelled. Her grades weren't great, but they were certainly better than you would expect for someone who blows of school half the time. She's also a partier, and does all of those things you shouldn't be at said parties. Drinking, drugs, sex, you name it. Though more the former two than the latter. She's been in trouble multiple times as well for doing unsavory things, which can vary quite a bit. In other words, she doesn't really give a shit.

Even as the world came to an end as we know it, she still blew it off like it was no big deal. It was hard to know if it was her way of coping with the situation to completely go off and blow things off and act like nothing was happening, or if she had some issues really mentally connecting to the situation around them. Her parents had died shortly after things had suddenly escalated, them not managing to escape in time. She did, however, but even after she knew her parents were dead, she still remained weirdly calm and inappropriate behavior for what you should be doing when the world seemingly was ending. She just stole someones fancy car (Because yes, she learned how) and took off down the highway like the world was now a playground to fuck around in, though she did end up heading towards the ferries because she wasn't against hanging out with some people. You needed people, and maybe she could find someone who wants to screw around just like she did.

Bio: Thea was pretty much just an adorable young girl with no stand out characteristics. She was just sweet and adorable. She seemed adventurous, though. But her idea of adventurous was of course not involving a world turned into a zombie apocalypse, and as soon as the world went to hell, she became a scared little girl who retreated into the "Safety" of huddling in a backseat of a car with her stuffed animal while her parents did their best to get the hell out of there, after having to fend themselves off to even get anywhere, and try and go towards the broadcast that they had been told about related to the Whidbey Island fort now being transferred into a "safe zone" for people to arrive to.

Weapons: This evil-ass blade.
Bio: Simon's parents had never been particularly attentive, and were rather neglectful. He was often put off on his nanny while his parents went out and did rich people things. They basically made sure he was kept alive, but beyond that, they couldn't be bothered, unless they were in loving moods, which became less and less common when the love wasn't returned. The nanny told them that they thought that something was wrong with him, because he never seemed to cry, or laugh, or even throw tantrums, but they refused to take him to see a doctor, and forbade the nanny from doing so. As he got older, the nanny confided that she thought it was probably because they didn't want to be seen to have a 'broken' son. Also as he grew up, they acknowledged that he wasn't capable of feeling emotions, but they made him pretend to be normal when around other people, and so that stuck in his head as he grew up. When he was 15, his parents died in a car wreck with a drunk driver. He attended the funeral, where many people offered him their condolences, but he didn't bother to care. He simply stared at the coffin with a blank expression, then left before the wake. He was then cared for by his nanny until he turned 18, at which time her inherited his family's money, and their estate, which he promptly sold. He also fired his Nanny, who was a bit bitter at having taken care of him for so long, just to be thrown out like that, but at the same time she understood, because he wasn't capable of feeling anything for her. After selling the estate, he moved to Washington, out in the country, and got a farm with a decent amount of acreage, and started growing his own food. He found it was a way to pass the time. He also spent a lot of time riding his bike, which resulted in a bad wreck. The wreck resulted in brain damage that caused him to be unusually violent. That, added with his inability to feel guilt wasn't particularly a good mix. He kept to himself enough that it never really became a problem, but now this new threat has arrived, and in making his way to the safe zone, he'll have to deal with people eventually.

Orville had a pretty standard childhood. Epic, but standard. When he was 10 he started reading financial books. When he was 11 he started operating a flyer route and bought his first stock. When he was in high school, he did pretty well, and learned a little bit of german and mechanics. When he was 16 he started working at dairy queen on the summer, and when he was 18 he entered the march madness sweepstakes at Berkshire Hathaway. Surprisingly his knowledge of sports paid off and he won 100k. When he graduated high school, election season was coming up. He registered as a local candidate and successfully won the riding. Becoming Councilman Miltons. Soon after that, the virus started plaguing the news. He did what he could to contain the spread of the plague in his district. A military occupation began soon after, and the population was ordered to move to the fort safezone. Milton followed suit. Thinking that he was unlikely to return to his home, he took his fairly new holiday RV, loaded it up with what he thought he might need, and drove to the safezone.

Well, assuming the odds of winning the million a year are ludicrous, I'm going to assume that that probably wouldn't be acceptable. Although, that's what I'd like considering money doesn't matter anymore. But I'd probably have him win 100k.
