National Info
Situated in the north east of the region of Tyran, Schottia is a small diverse country of 6.6 million people. Throughout the region, Schottia is best known for its progressive social policies, and far left politics, and whisky distilleries. The nation is a group of five small islands, located in the middle of the Bara Sea, north of Cacerta and off the west coast of Acrea. The southern Schottic landscape is largely characterised by arable farmland, pine forests, and windswept pebble beaches. The North Island, by contrast, is almost entirely made up of rugged mountain ranges and bleak scree-slopes, where the towns and cities, for the most part, hug the narrow bands of flat land around the coast.

Schottia was once the easternmost part of an Ossorian Empire, and to this day the remnants still stretch around most of what are now the continents of Eracura and Siduri. Schottia broke away from the Ossorians in 1867, following internal unrests, which saw the small fledgling nation take the first steps down the road towards becoming a republic. Schottia as we know it today was constitutes in 1922, following a workers' uprising, out of which the country's socialist politics was born.

Today, Schottia is a small, peaceful nation; with thriving fishing, tourism, and drinks industries. Most people living in South Schottia are ethnically Schottic or Ossorian, although particularly in the bigger cities, you will meet a range of people from all over the region who have at one point fled major conflicts, or simply chosen to study or settle. The North Island of Schottia is similar, however it also has a large Shalumite-German population, as well as pockets of French speaking communities.

Travel
Getting to Schottia is reasonably straight forward, if not a little time consuming. Despite the fact that the country consists of five islands, it is unlikely that many visitors will arrive via ferry, due to the distances involved. Almost everyone arriving for the tournament, either fans, or players, will fly into Handon International Airport. H.I.A handles almost all of the nation's incoming flights, as well as being a stop off northwest in or out of the region.

Travel within Schottia is remarkably easy. Public transport it well funded, and free bus and tram services make getting around the cities cheap, and stress free. For longer distances, all major towns and cities are connected by a high-speed rail service. Schottic citizens pay high levels of tax, but one of the plus sides is that they have a public transport system that works.

Languages
The official languages of Schottia are Scots, English, and German, however, English is the one most likely to be heard in the streets. Most people living in Schottia are bilingual, speaking combinations English, Scots, German, or French depending on the area they were born. In addition to this, there is a heavy emphasis on languages in schools from the age of five, meaning that it is not unusual for Schottians to speak four or five of the main regional languages with a degree of fluency.

Weather
Most of Schottia has a temperate maritime climate, with warm summers typically around 25°C, and cold snowy winters ranging from -5 to +8°C. At the time of the U-15 WC it will be start of the Schottic autumn (the off season) so visitors should expect temperatures around 10°C. The exception to this will be those matches scheduled in the city of La Gorla, where the altitude will make things feel a lot colder, and their may be a chance of light snow. Schottia has high levels of rainfall all year round, so fans visiting the country should expect to get wet some point.

Currency and Shopping
The currency in Schottia is the Schottic Pound. The current exchange rate is just under two NS dollars to the pound, meaning that certain luxury goods might seem expensive. On the flip side of this, food in the supermarkets is available at cost price, as is clothing in government stores - the same can also be said for most non-luxury items. Schottia isn't exactly one of the world's main shopping centres, and strict rules on advertising can often mean that the High Streets can seem a little drab to those more used to eye-catching posters, and flashy billboards. That said, the larger more international cities of Soessch and Handon have their fair share of fashion outlets, and foreign eateries.

Stadia
Care has been taken to ensure that the matches take place across the length and breadth of the country. The aim of this is to showcase all of the nation's major cities and cultures, as apposed a narrower view, sticking to the larger stadia in and around Handon.

For each group, the matches will all take place in the same stadium, the first fixture listed kicking off at midday, the next in the late afternoon, and one in the early evening. Each team will be housed in the near by area, and will be given access to training facilities in their respective city.

Harbour Hill Stadium
Will play host to the tournament final
Capacity: 55,000
City: Handon, South Schottia
Home to: Handon United (National Stadium)

Handon
The most international of all Schottia's cities its capital Handon. The diverse population of 1.1 million includes over 200,000 students who attend the city's four universities and five technical colleges. The harbour city is a unique blend of the old and the new, with modern buildings slotted into gap sites around 17th and 18th century architecture. Of all Schottia's towns and cities Handon is by far the most vibrant, with award winning restaurants, clubs, and bars; as well as no shortage of excellent hotels and apartments.

For most people in the region, Handon is synonymous with Schottia, and it is often the case that visitors rarely take time to see some of the more remote, rural communities. There is a good chance that many of the visiting fans will choose to station themselves in Handon regardless of where their team is playing, due to the public transport links. Soessch is reachable in twenty minutes by train, Lochend twenty-five, Lammerton around one hour, and Port James three.

-------

Lochend Stadium
Will play host to Group A matches.
Capacity: 80,000
City: Lochend, South Schottia
Home to: Cornellians FC

Lochend
There aren't too many good reasons to visit the town of Lochend, unless it is football related. Five years ago an abandoned industrial site on the outskirts of the town was chosen as the home to Schottia's MPL side Cornellians. The site has its own hotels and bars, as well as a train station, so that visitors don't have to endure the town itself. Although Lochend is a small town it is not particularly quaint or charming, made up of rows of rather unattractive pebble dashed houses. However, the time of the tournament should make for some pleasant train journeys out from Handon with the tractors and harvesters busy at work in the fields.
-------

Gannon Park
Will play host to Group B matches.
Capacity: 38,000
City: Soessch, North Island
Home to: FC Soessch

Soessch
Soessch is the second city of Schottia and principle town of The North Islands. Like Handon, it has top quality facilities and services, however with a population of 600,000, just on a smaller scale. The city sits at the foot of a huge mountain range, and occupies a long narrow stretch of land between the cliffs and the sea. Soessch is split down the middle by a wide river, which is crossed by the city's twenty-seven bridges. The architecture differs slightly from that of Handon, as the predominately German-speaking population made their mark in the 1700s.
-------

City of Port James Stadium
Will play host to Group C matches.
Capacity: 32,000
City: Port James, South Schottia
Home to: Port James Athletic

Port James
Perched on a narrow shelf of rock at the most southwesterly point of Schottia, Port James' 230,000 inhabitants are afforded stunning views of the Bara Sea. Although the city is eleven kilometres long, the natural geography of the landscape means that Port James is just over one kilometre wide, which can make journeying to the stadium difficult on foot. For centuries the city's deep-sea port has served as the base of the nation's navy. The peninsula is located in a gulf stream and is the warmest part of the country, meaning it is also the heart of the wine-producing region. Port James is one of the oldest cities in Schottia, and many of the building in the city centre date back to the middle ages, including the 15th century city walls, which are largely still in tact.
-------

Lammerton City Ground
Will play host to Group D matches.
Capacity: 30,000
City: Lammerton, South Schottia
Home to: Lammerton, Lammerton City

Lammerton
A small city of 190,000, Lammerton is positioned right in the heart of South Schottia, making it an excellent base for exploring the wider countryside. The city is famous for its huge 17th century fort, which sits on a rock in its centre, as well as its narrow winding cobble streets and traditional buildings. Lammerton has a very tightly knit centre, which plays host to a wide range of small independent shops and restaurants. The city has a long tradition of football, its two professional sides, Lammerton and Lammerton City participate in the longest running derby in Schottia.
-------

Danu Parc
Will play host to Group E matches.
Capacity: 16,000
City: La Gorla, North Island
Home to: La Gorlions

La Gorla
La Gorla is a spectacular city, situated high in the North Island Mountains. The city is the largest town in the traditionally French speaking area of Schottia. La Gorla's ninety thousand inhabitants are fiercely passionate about their local team, La Gorlians, which they at times treat more like their national side rather than an SPL club. The plus side to playing in La Gorla is the beautiful stone buildings, and the mountain views in all four directions, the down side however, is the altitude, the remoteness, and the fact that the teams may be see the odd snowflake.
---------

Ashley Road
Will play host to Group F matches.
Capacity: 22,000
City: New Belfast, South Schottia
Home to: New Belfast Warriors

New Belfast
New Belfast is a former whaling town, and owes much of its prominence to when the trade was one of the nations main industries. This maritime tradition has contributed much to the architecture and traditions of the city, which boasts a population of 240,000. After going through a period of decline in the 60s and 70s, New Belfast has recently seen an up turn in fortune, largely due to its arts and culture.

Cosumar U15 National Team - U15 World Cup 9

Image

Team Information

Nation: The Fiefdom of Cosumar

Government: Cosumar is a Fiefdom, comprised of 21 historical fiefs which now essentially function as provinces. Cosumar is a constitutional monarchy with King James II as its head. The tenets of civil rights, protection of nature, advancement of knowledge, and exploration outer space are held dear.

Region: Atlantian Oceania

Nicknames: Dragons (Officially "Azure Dragons"), Vanquishers

Colors: Royal Blue, Silver, Navy, White

Stadium: The Royal Palace (capacity 54,000) in Ramusok

Coach: Jose Baria

Team: The roster consists of 21 players, 20 of whom are standard humans (homo sapiens). The other, defender Nolda Va'Naathra, is Vloo (homo cosumarensis), a sentient species native to Cosumar. Vloo are humanoid and approximately two inches taller on average, and they must wear different cleats due to their unique foot structure. The range of athleticism in Vloo is similar to that of humans, but they have blue skin and two black horns atop their head. You can recognize Vloo by their surnames: which usually begin with the prefixes Na'- or Va'-. In the image of Gethin Ramsey's senior side that recently went to the World Cup Round of 16, Jose Bario's squad plays a balanced game, using high pressure to force mistakes and capitalizing on them with quick, up-tempo passing. Some Cosumarite players in this generation play in the youth academies of big professional clubs (marked by icons below), while others have not yet been affiliated with any. These have been scouted and called up from one of the many club/rec/school leagues around the Fiefdom. All currently play in Cosumar. If not currently with a professional club, their hometown is listed by their name.

Donning the uniform of the senior National Team is a prestigious honor (one that must be earned), so our youth teams do not use the same one. Our U15 team wears the old NT kit that was used in World Cup 70 and decommissioned prior to World Cup 71. Courtesy of Meski Sports. The home (left) and away (middle) kits feature the colours of the Cosumarite flag as well as the iconic Azure Dragon that dwells in Cosumar's northeastern forests. The goalkeeper kit (right) is swathed in green and gold - the colours of the royal family.

OoC - Anything in () is commentary made during broadcast. FYI.

Arkan Under-15 National Team - U15 World Cup 9

Team Facts

Nation:The Republic of Arkan

Selection: Arkan National Games 8, Arkan National School Soccer Commitee

Stadium: Renizit Bridge, Yellowbridge, Arkan

Nicknames: Kans (Shortened Arkan), Rogues

U-15 TEAM

Coach - Hanz Grubnez, 35 (Now, Grubnez coaches Yellowbridge, who recently got promoted to APSL. Will Hanz keep his head focused in this tourney?)

Modifier - +2

Tactic - 4-2-1-3 (A common tactic used in most Arkanian school leagues. We saw Arkan City Public School #17 win the countrywide school tourney with this.)

STARTING XI
GK - #6 Gerot Olokel - 14 y/o (The man behind Arkan City Public School #17's victory in the tourney. Potential to literally become a brick wall.)
LB - #8 Calret Gologel - 14 y/o
CB - #5 Helinz Gehant - 14 y/o - VICE CAPTAIN (A good choice in VC here. Quality leader, with potential to be a National Team star.)
CB - #9 Goleget Hokele - 13 y/o
RB - #3 Gregor Ivilchanko - 14 y/o
DM - #7 Hevilit Golokov - 13 y/o
DM - #2 Grebiz Eliktivot - 14 y/o - CAPTAIN (Lot of potential in this kid. He played in club soccer last season for Arkan City Crew Under-18.)
CM - #36 Carlit Helitorn - 13 y/o
RFW - #4 Carlet Spaneit - 14 y/o (A fairly lethal striker pushed to the right flank on this. Where he lacks in size, he makes up in speed and accuracy.)
LFW - #2 Grenze Clotentu - 14 y/o (Another good striker pushed to a forward. Well skilled.)
ST - #17 Nikoli Silvat - 14 y/o (Possibly the best under 15 striker in Arkan. Racked up nearly 35 goals last season with Despia U-18 Desperados.)

SUBS
GK - #11 Grenzet Olokeen - 12 y/o (The youngest member of the team here, but he earned it. Clear River School's keeper lead the team to Semi's this year, 6 shutouts.)
CB - #75 Genirat Resmatoo - 14 y/o
LB - #16 Carlit Olofastin - 13 y/o
RB - #12 Hanzelti Golobakovski - 14 y/o
DM - #18 Hanzel Morthatu - 13 y/o
MC - #14 Suten Britlez - 14 y/o (A decent showing in the Arkan National's with the Hadrez Flames U18 put him on here.)
FW - #15 Gentit Freantith - 13 y/o
LW - #13 Smeti Gernativ - 14 y/o (Smeti gets his name on here, and good for him. Spectacular showing in the AST this year.)
ST - #6 Aden Hazartentcolo - 13 y/o (Aden is getting his first taste in the limelight here, first call up.)

SEMARLAND NATIONAL U15 FOOTBALL TEAM, OFFICIAL U15 WORLD CUP NINE SQUAD

Kits kindly manufactured by VUCTI Kits

STAFF:
Manager: Michael Agyemang, 48
Assistant manager: Erik Stefansson, 37
First team coach: Melvin Nsumbu, 31
First team coach: Karl Hansson, 48
Tactical coach: Janne Lingard, 32
Goalkeeping coach: Rasmus Jacobs, 41

Physio: Sehun Adebayo, 32
Physio: Jakob Melsen, 33
Doctor: Jorgen Tromso, 46
Doctor: Matthew Akintunde, 33
Lead scout: Oluwaseyi Akinola, 33
The majority of the backroom staff from the U18 World Cup winning team two years ago are working with the U15s, who have Semarland U16 assistant manager Michael Agyemang as their manager, assisted by U18 coach Erik Stefanssson. There was no official Semarland U15 team until now. There have been training camps in the past that the majority of these players have attended before and one or two friendlies but the SFA have never sent an U15 team to a tournament - until now. Except for the last U15 world cup, nearly ten years ago now. Members of that team such as Adlai Ykugu and Adenugo Mwazi have both gone on to make first team appearances for their clubs and these players here will look to do so in the near future. The tactically clever Agyemang has a quality team with him plus an excellent, all-round group of staff.

GOALKEEPERS
#1 - GK - Jamal Gray - Age 14 - Krsthaven
#12 - GK - Stephane Claro-Hunt - Age 13 - Krsthaven
#22 - GK - Yanne-Mabi Mavinga - Age 14 - FC Jansberg
Jamal Gray is one of two players in the whole squad to have Semarland U16 experience, being the second choice goalkeeper in the Norhalne U16 Shield a few months ago. A regular so far for Krsthaven's U16s, he has made one U18 appearance so far this season. In the year group below is the eccentric Stephane Claro-Hunt, who has been the U15 side's main keeper whilst Gray plays up for the U16s. Claro-Hunt, as you may have guessed is part of the Claro-Hunt family, with older brothers Rene and Reiss already national team regulars and Djair the first choice U21 left back. Finally, third choice Yanne-Mabi Mavinga will hope to get some time between the sticks and the FC Jansberg goalkeeper has also been a regular for his team's U16s side with Semarland U16 first choice Isaac Okonkwo also playing up for the U18s.

DEFENDERS
#2 - DR - Kwame Sakye - Age 14 - Eikborg Club
#3 - DL - Rees Southgate - Age 13 - FC Kolberg
#4 - DC - Solomso Bhukhwana - Age 13 - Krsthaven
#5 - DC - Cyril Ansah - Age 14 - FC Jansberg (c)
#13 - DC - Valentin Hutton - Age 14 - Copenbrok Klub
#19 - DR - Jonathan Mulumbu - Age 14 - Kangemark Sport
#21 - DL - Anders Pedersen - Age 13 - Krsthaven
Captain Cyril Ansah also has Semarland U16 experience, captaining them at the Norhalne U16 Shield recently whilst still an U15. A tall, clever central defender, Ansah is one of the most highly rated players in FC Jansberg's academy. Partnering him will either be the bulky, imposing Solomso Bhukwana of Krsthaven - who is still an U14 but has the physique of an U16 player - or Copenbrok Klub's Valentin Hutton, a strong defender who has good passing abilities. The likely fullbacks will be Rees Southgate and Kwame Sakye on the left and right respectively, with Southgate a regular for FC Kolberg's U15s despite being an U14. Sakye has made two U18 appearances for Eikborg Club this term, and is backed up by Jonathan Mulumbu of Kangemark Sport who has also made one U18 appearance. Krsthaven U14 left back Anders Pedersen is also included.

MIDFIELDERS
#6 - DMC - Mark Sundstrom - Age 14 - FC Jansberg
#7 - ML - Isaiah St-Etienne - Age 13 - Adjurgen
#8 - MC - Nathan Eyoma - Age 14 - FC Jansberg
#11 - MR - Kamal Barnes - Age 14 - Kangemark Sport
#14 - MC - Kwesi Yiadom - Age 14 - Arkrau Klub
#15 - AMC - Etienne Marshall - Age 14 - FC Nuholm
#17 - ML - Axel Jacobsen - Age 13 - Molsbik Arkjet
#20 - MR - Remaine Marylebone - Age 14 - FC Jansberg
Agyemang will likely rotate between two different midfield formations - a 4-4-2 and a 4-1-2-1-2. The first one should see Nathan Eyoma of FC Jansberg and Kwesi Yiadom of Arkrau Klub form a solid partnership in the middle, with Adjurgen's Isaiah St-Etienne and Kangemark's Kamal Barnes on the wings. The second would see Mark Sundstrom of FC Jansberg solid as a rock in defensive midfield with FC Nuholm's attacking midfield talent Etienne Marshall the main source of creativity in attack, with Axel Jacobsen and Remaine Marylebone of Molsbik Arkjet and FC Jansberg respectively on the wings. Eyoma, Sundstrom, Marshall, Barnes anda Marylebone have all experienced tastes of U18 football this season, with Yiadom once on the bench as an unused substitute.

STRIKERS
#9 - ST - Montell Labonne - Age 14 - FC Jansberg
#10 - ST - Djair Cole - Age 14 - Adjurgen
#16 - ST - Javan Parfitt-Hendricks - Age 13 - FC Nuholm
#18 - ST - Par Brand - Age 13 - Sporting Saint Adrensburg
#23 - ST - Asamoah Akuffo - Age 14 - Sporting Saint Adrensburg
Tricky Adjurgen striker Djair Cole can be utilised as a striker or as a left winger, and has done so regularly for Adjurgen's U16s and for the U18s a couple of times. Montell Labonne has been prolific for FC Jansberg's U16s, as have Javan Parfitt-Hendricks (FC Nuholm) and SSA duo Par Brand and Asamoah Akuffo. Agyemang will likely rotate the five throughout the tournament, with all capable of starting.

(Work in progress)

Oisinistan Academy of Football (OAF) Roster for U-15 World Cup

Manager:
Liam Paisley (13)
Liam Paisley is known as the son of former Oisinistani international manager, George Morton. Paisley shot to prominence in 2012, when at the age of only 10, he became the youngest holder of the Oisinistani Coaching Level 8 badge.
Assistant: Clayton Wallis (12)
Clayton Wallis is currently the manager of his local U-8 team. Nobody really knows much about him.
Physio: Andy Fisher (13)
Tactician: Lee Morrison (14)
Fisher and Morrison both won respective national competitions for their job.

ROSTER:

Goalkeepers
#1 Kane Morton, 13, Red Rangers
Morton is known as the other son of George Morton. He had a fantastic season for Red Rangers last year, conceding just 12 goals in 30 matches.
#2 Paul Leacock, 14, Ajax Youth
Paul Leacock is the vice-captain of Ajax Youth, second in line behnd Oisinistani captain Adam Spearing.
#3 Nick Waldron, 13, Tiptree
Waldron is seen as a wildcard for this tournament. It is unknown why Paisley picked him over goalkeepers such as Jonathan Boxwell, but Paisley has stood by his decision.

Defenders
#4 Killian Yussuf, 14, Ajax Youth
A no-nonsense, hard-tackling center-back, Yussuf is seen as a great prospect for his country and club. He joined Ajax at the age of 8.
#5 Adam Spearing, 13, Ajax Youth (Captain)
Spearing is the heart and soul of the Oisinistani team. His leadership as captain of both club and country have led both club and country to many achievements.
#6 Jake Innes, 14, ETO
Innes can play in a wingback role or in a fullback role. His lucky break came last year when his side ETO, who play in the domestic 4th division, won the Coupe d'Oisinistan last year.
#7 Mike Sallins, 14, Red Rangers
Mike Sallins is Oisinistan's former U-10 captain, who has been dropped many times from the side. He is seen as the team's backbone.
#8 Neil Claridge, 13, Unattached
Built like a brick wall, Claridge hasn't played competitive club football in 2 years, sticking instead to kettlebells, in which he is a former world champion.
#9 Padraig Jefferson, 14, Ajax Youth
Nicknamed 'Poddo Jeffo' by Ajax fans, Jefferson is one of the best headers in his domestic league.
#10 Buster Jones, 13, Tiptree
Jones is the nephew of former Oisinistani international, Lazarus Jones. Buster's real name is Dominic.
#11 Jerry Byrne, 14, Maldron Rovers
Real name is Jeremy Byrne, formerly of ETO,

Midfielders
#12 Moki Smith, 14, Tiptree (Right Free Kick Taker)
Smith's mother is Kilmorian, hence his dark skin tone and unusual name.
#13 Rex Lee, 14, Eagles Academy
Lee is one of the 3 Musketeers, along with Dennis Cook and Liam Gorecha, who were considered the best midfielders in the league. All three play for Eagles.
#14 Sebastian Lewis, 13, Ajax Youth (Vice Captain)
Paisley has been slated by the press for appointing a player as young as Lewis as vice-captain, but Lewis is a well known talent.
#15 Inaki Sheridan, 14, ETO
Inaki's mother is Kilmorian, like Moki Smith.
#16 Jason Cox, 13, Red Rangers
Cox is known as a tricky winger with excellent footing.
#17 Dennis Cook, 14, Eagles Academy
Dennis is a defensive midfielder with bags of stamina and energy.
#18 Barry Wiltry, 14, Maldron Rovers
Wiltry is considered to be very lucky to be called up, after a video surfaced of him in 2015, racially abusing a student in a 'rap battle' in his school.
#19 Will Newman, 14, Unattached
Newman recently left ETO after a dispute.

Forwards
#20 Jake Pollock, 14, Ajax Youth (Penalty Taker)
A lethal finisher, Pollock is known to be an excellent penalty taker, with great composer.
#21 Khalifa Cisse, 12, Eagles Academy (Left Free Kick Taker)
The youngest player in the team, Cisse is seen as a great player with loads of potential, who is a deadly finisher. He was noticed by Eagles after he helped his side, Defensor FC, to an unbeaten season of 30 games, in which he scored a cool 62 goals.
#22 Bryan Oliver, 13, ETO
Oliver's fiery temperament has seen him fall out with Paisley on and off the pitch, but is nonetheless an important part of the squad.
#23 Liam Spithe, 14, Tiptree
Spithe was playing in the domestic 7th division last season, when Tiptree saw his potential, as did assistant manager Clayton Wallis, who recommended him to Paisley.

Typical formation: 4-3-3

Savalen Under-15 National Team - U15 World Cup 9

Team Facts

Nation: The Nomadic Peoples of Savalen

Region: International NorthWestern Union

Stadium: Dodford Park, Tronfjell, Hamar, (Seats 57,250)

Nicknames: The Savages, The Lynxes (national animal), Savs

U-15 TEAM

Coach - Marvin Vetlesen.
Well know home-grown coach, who has only ever had jobs in Savalen. Following promotion with Alvadal United into the top division two years ago, he was drafted in to replace the foreign coach with quite a temper, Jonny “Hamfist” Barton. His calm attitude has bought stability, which has reflected on the younger teams, giving hope for the future of Savalenian football. Vetlesen also decided to merge the U15 and U14 teams, allowing him to carve out a very promising team, who have taken some major scalps in friendlies. However, this is their first ever international tournament, will this affect them?

Style Modifier -0.5

Starting Tactic - 4-2-3-1. The coach does have an Italian Assistant, Fabio Dalmonte, who has influenced Vetlesen to the extent that he has very flexible tactics that may change during the match. Favourites are 4-1-3-2 and 3-2(WBs)-1(DM)-2-2 (Offensive with wing-backs).

STARTING XI

GK - #6 Slava Kazarezov 15 y/o
Probably one of the three best footballers at this level (along with Dmitry Kombarov and Gunnar Sigurdsson), he is a regular starter for the U16, made his first appearance for the U18 this year. Called back as the U15 travel to their first ever international tournament.

LB (CB) - #8 Otta Paulsen - 14 y/o
Average left back, but with the previous player moving up into the U16 and no foreseeable talent coming through, has been moved to his second position of left back from centre back. This does, however, mean that opposition teams find their right flank an unfruitful place to attack, as he is very solid defensively. But this defensive-mindness can cripple any attacks happening on the left flank with Kalberg.

CB - #5 Herbrand Osterberg - 15 y/o
Solid, tall and fast centre back, but rash challenges have meant that penalties and red cards have been given in the past. Has improved since his appearances in the Young Guns Tournament of Savalen (U12).

CB - #9 Tallak Gudmundson - 14 y/o
Another centre back with a similar build, but is a little slower. This means that the opposition may have a chance on the counter after set-pieces that Gudmundson goes up for.

RB (WB) - #3 Gammel Falla - 15 y/o
Absolute beast with quite a bit of pace, but the end product can be lacking. His forward runs can leave space in behind, though.

DM - #7 Heigo Kuusik - 14 y/o
Breaks up attacks with intelligent play and has quite the eye for a pass. Hard-worker that could go far.

DM - #2 Kesuk Narinogoril - 14 y/o
Started off in both football and rugby, but his tactical mind was so impressive, along with his ability to keep the ball thanks to his strength and power, that he was convinced to drop the latter. His one weakness is that he has quite a temper if it is broken – it takes a lot. But a horror tackle may give him memories of the one he received in U11 rugby, which injured him for 9 months, which could absolutely flip him.

CAM - #36 Nongrot - 15 y/o
Moved from Mongolia at a very young age, has a sweet left foot and excellent eye for a through ball. Is also a great worker in the centre of the park when trying to get the ball back. Captain for a reason.

R(A)M - #4 Kurt Axelsen - 12 y/o (will turn 13 on 15th)
Some of the world’s best teams are interested, but his level-headedness means that he has come out stating that he will definitely play in Savalen for now to continue his development. His talent is unquestionable, but the fact that he is the youngest member of the team means he has less experience and ability. One for the future, but don’t be fooled, he deserves the call up.

L(A)M - #17 Marvin Kalberg - 14 y/o
Not a bad winger, but needs a pacey left-back to help him out. His skills aren't enough for him to cut inside against two defenders and unleash his right foot, but give him little space down the left, and he can put in a trademark peach of a cross.

ST - #2 Dmitry Kombarov- 14 y/o
Does this guy need to be introduced? This kids positioning is impressive and his ability to ghost between defenders makes him a nightmare to mark. Height may seem like a problem, but being in the high-jump team in his youth means he has quite a jump and may steal in front of defenders who are a head taller than him. Links up brilliantly with Nongrot and Kuusik thanks to their impressive through-balls.

SUBS

GK - #11 Alfred Schmidt - 15 y/o
One of the two Schmidt brothers, his height means that set-pieces aren’t a problem, but low shots can be problematic.

CB - #75 Ferdinand Foltys - 15 y/o
Named after the Austro-Hungarian general, his leadership qualities shine through. However, he is punished for a squabble with the fitness coach. Vetlesen has said that he may be back for MD4 -Thursday 14th. Vice-Captain

LWB - #16 Kevin Tatar - 14 y/o
Not a bad prospect, but his defensive game can be lacking. Vetlesen likes putting him on when switching to 3-2-1-2-2.

RB - #12 Sandel Herbertsson - 14 y/o
Prone to injuries, one of which halted his development. However, he has made a steady comeback into the team over the past half-year. On his day can be an absolute rock, stopping anything that comes his way.

DM - #14 Santino Aarnes - 14 y/o
Nice, hard-working, defensive midfielder, but the two in the team are impressive prospects for the future

MC - #18 Edgar Sviták - 13 y/o
Skilful and powerful, but he was only called up to the youth teams a couple of months ago. Maybe his powerful knuckle shots can prove to be a last gasp winner.

ST - #15 Adler Dahl - 14 y/o
Called up in place of Gunnar Sigurdsson. Has an absolutely amazing bullet header thanks to his height, but with few good crossers in the team, finds himself on the bench.

R/LM - #13 Gert Schmidt - 15 y/o
Brother of Alfred, can play on both flanks as he is good with both feet. Critics say he doesn’t show his attacking ingenuity enough, but his versatility and rare moments of brilliance can turn games.

ST - #6 Zayaat Gur- 13 y/o
His call up is surprising, but Vetlesen went to a lot of Alvadal training sessions to decide who he was going to take between him and Marik Svensson (of Trondheim Vikings FC). Nice low shot and a cool head for penalties may prove decisive.

ANGLATIAN NATIONAL TEAM
The Chosen

TEAM INFO

Nation: The Empire of Greater Anglatia

Overview: Greater Anglatia is run by the main island state, Anglatia, and the Anglatian Vanguard Party. This nationalist party allows democratic elections in some things, including Parliament, but largely keeps a tight grip on the country and maintains control for the monarchy, led by Emperor Colden the First. Footballers for the team are pulled from both the main island and all of the colonies of the Empire.

Nicknames: The Chosen, the Explorers(in Valeria), the Crusaders(in Anglatia)

Colors: Gold, Blue, and Green(the colors of Anglatia, Valeria, and the Northern Free State)

Stadiums:

Image

Image

Image

Manager: Wes Rener(45 years old, second year as manager)

Tactics: The Explorers youth team play the same 4-4-2 as the senior team, but focus more on possession than pressuring the other team and creating attacking chances. The philosophy is that if the other team doesn't have the ball, it is impossible for them to score, so this team likes to have one midfielder that can drop into the back line and retrieve the ball and three others who are good at cycling it for awhile before moving it up the pitch to attack. The team likes to control the pace of the game and slow it down when the other team tries to raise the tempo, and the back four shifts into a back five at times when the other team has the ball. The team play with a chip on their shoulder for sure, and all of the players are from youth teams in the Imperial Superleague.

Style: +2.5

STARTING XI

GK - #99 Blaze Chrzanowska - 15 - Female - Underfell Academy - Incredibly athletic and acrobatic goalkeeper, has played every position from goalie to striker and still occasionally comes in at attacking midfielder. From the slums of Otavice, and plays with something to prove at all times.

LB - #5 Caldinho - 15 - Male - AC Ferraria Academy - Skillful fullback with great skills at closing down on opposing wingers. Plays for one of the best academy teams in the region.

CB - #3 John Fidalgo - 14 - Male - AC Ferraria Academy - A two way defender who is lethal if left unmarked on corner kicks. Gets caught out of position a lot though, and needs to improve his marking.

CB - #2 Cam Camera - 14 - Male - Ross United Youth - The opposite of Fidalgo, Camera focuses on defense first and is a marking specialist. Good at taking the other team's attacking star out of the game in his own half.

RB - #18 Ray Macedo - 15 - Male - Xera Bay United - Another skillful defender who can go both ways down the pitch. Prone to leaving openings on defense because of his focus on attacking.

LM - #56 Andrya Novkovic - 15 - Female - Unattached - The team's most creative midfielder, who is currently unattached but is rumored to be heading to Valeria WFC, an all female team that is planning to join the Imperial Second Division.

CM - #8 Ferdinand Carrico - 13 - Male - AC Ferraria Academy - This orphaned boy was homeless but found a home through his good performances that led him to join ACF. A playmaker first and foremost, he's someone who can pass into tight spaces well.

CM - #10 Marco Saint Paul - 15 - Male - Bathgate City Youth - It's a stretch but we might be able to say in a few years time that he's the next Soren Bayer. An amazing long ranged passer who can also track back well on defense because of a large size advantage, MSP is definitely on the road to playing for the senior team.

RM - #7 Francis Drakenburg - 15 - Female - Calovice Sporting Academy - Francis has the pace and the skillset to be an all out attacker but Rener opted to play her back in the midfield because of more reliable talent up front. A good hold up player who also is able to make runs well.

LS - #9 Ajay Oyekan - 15 - Female - Unattached - Even though she's almost 16 and won't be able to play for the whole tournament because of this, Ajay has been called the next Draga Schraeder because of her fantastic holdup play and her ability to drop deep into the midfield on offense and defense. She has the best shot power for her age but needs to improve her positioning.

RS - #17 Stella Gunderson - 13 - Female - Valeria IK Youth - Ajay's more technically skilled partner in the attacking third, Stella is undersized but makes up for it with her aggressive play style and her determination. In the future, she looks like a hold up player in the attacking midfield for the national team.

BENCH

GK - Frederick Blich - 13 - Male - Valeria IK Youth

FB - Chris Erlandsson - 13 - Male - Calovice Sporting Academy

FB - Tyus Forsell - 15 - Male - Bathgate City Youth

CB - Nik Hylander - 14 - Male - Ross United Youth

CM - Will Hartley - 13 - Male - Ross Academy of Sports

CM - Thea Hartley - 13 - Female - Ross Academy of Sports

LM/ST - Nia Enquist - 14 - Female - AC Ferraria Academy

ST - Ilya Gzowski - 14 - Male - Dinamo Jugoskania Youth

National Football Team of Schottia

Under Fifteen World Cup 9

------------------------------
Manager: Judy Scott 59
Assistant: Joseph Finders 37
First Team Coach: James Blantery 33
Gk Coach: Cathy Lewis 48
Physio: Claire Hanson 29
------------------------------

Manager Judy Scott has brought with her a young back room staff, with Joseph Finders and James Blantery both in their first coaching positions since hanging up their boots. Scott was an assistant manager nearly ten years ago during the last under 15s tournament in Mastille and has since gone on to work with both the under 18s and under 21s. She will be hoping the Schottians can use home advantage to good effect here, although at this stage in the players' development it is impossible to predict the outcome with any certainty.

Schottia reached the round of sixteen last time round, and players such as Chloe Rudden, Ben Ross, Boris Hunt, and Bella Thompson, have all gone on to win senior caps. Looking at the current class of WC9, the particularly un Schottic sounding names of Camila Soria Luna, and Corinne Martel-Burns stand out as potential stars, as does team captain, the highly rated Hamish Muir of Project +90 Hakifao. Despite all the due preparations the Schottias have made, the under 15s still remains a tricky age band, and like others, including the Semarlandic squad, it is not an age bracket they often play in.

Kits designed by Schottsport of Schottia
-----

Starting Eleven - 4-4-2

GK John Ayers 14, Project +90 | Height:180cm Weight:70kg
Currently honing his skills with the world renowned Project +90 coaches, Ayers is a young player who could have a big future ahead of him. Good reflexes, and excellent command of the area for a youngster, he is one of the standout players on this teamsheet.

RB Peeter Kalju 14, New Belfast Warriors | Height:184cm Weight:71kg
The tall gangly Vormsian is one of The Warriors' top up and coming players, and has already made a couple of appearances at Under 18 level. Like Colgan on the left flank, Kalju will look to get forward and support the attack.

LB Beatrice Colgan 15, Handon Amzons | Height:179cm Weight:64kg
The tall, lean, wingback has already made two sub appearances in the Women's Super-League, and will be looking to add to that over the coming seasons. Quick, agile, with a good cross on her, she has the potential to be a very decent player.

CB Donald Mann 14, Port Sebastian | Height:181cm Weight:69kg
All the makings of a big, no nonsense, centre half. Mann can sometimes be a little clumsy in the challenge, but that is no doubt something he can work on as he progresses through the ranks at Port Sebastian.

CB Callum Norman 15, Killross Boys | Height:173cm Weight:68kg
Norman is a little shorter, and a little podgier than his defensive partner, but be is still effective at this level. Where he goes next is another matter however.

RM Enaas Dajani 13, Handon United | Height:159cm Weight:57kg
Another one of Handon United's many rising stars, Dajani makes up for her small stature with some great trickery. At 13 it is probably going to be too early for the player to make a mark on the tournament in a meaningful way, but we may see glimpses of what she is capable of.

LM James McEaler 14, FC Soessch | Height:175cm Weight:64kg
McEaler is a player who really needs to work on his concentration levels. He is a quick, skilful player with a great delivery, but he can often drift in and out of games, and struggles to last for 90 minutes.

CM Jane Schramm 15, West Coast Warriors | Height:156cm Weight:60kg
She might not be a particularly imposing figure, but Schramm has never been one to shy away from a challenge. For her sake, we are left hoping that she has a little growing still to do, particularly if she is going to remain as a central midfielder.

CM Camila Soria Luna 14, Regional Development Side A | Height:172cm Weight:63kg
There will be a few glum faces in Port Christopher if Luna continues down the route of pledging her services to the nation of her grandmother's birth. The 14-year-old central midfielder is one of the academy setup's prise assets, and they will be looking forward to seeing how their playmaker fairs against some of the top defenders in her age bracket.

FC Corinne Martel-Burns 15, Kirk Preston United | Height:172cm Weight:64kg
Martel-Burns is one of the few names on this roster that might be familiar to the Schottic public. Unfortunately however, rather than her obvious footballing talent, it is likely to be for getting kicked out of the Handon United Youth Academy. There is no doubt that she has a lot of raw potential, esspecially when compared to some of the other young strikers the country has produced over the years, but due to her awful disciplinary record there have been few big clubs willing to go near her. Whether she makes it as a player or not is very much up in the air, based on her first season in the Schottic second tier. Playing first team football, making 12 appearances, and scoring 4 goals would suggest yes - five yellow cards and a dismissal for biting would suggest no.

FC Hamish Muir 15, +90 Hakifao (HKI) | Height:179cm Weight:66kg (C)
The captain of this side is one of the nation's most promising prospects, currently playing in the Hakifao league with the Project +90 programme. Already tall for his age, Muir good solid all-round centre forward who should hopefully be a good foil for some over his strike partner's wilder antics. Muir has been on the national radar for a while following some good performances at under 12 level.

---Subs---

GK William Lewis 13, Regional Development Side B | Height:170cm Weight:67kg
GK Kevin Young 14, Port Sebastian | Height:181cm Weight:72kg

RB Mandy Easter 13, Handon Ladies | Height:164cm Weight:59kg
LB Gena Richter 12, Lethgate Wonderers | Height:169cm Weight:60kg
CB Lily McKinnley 13, Porject +90 | Height:173cm Weight:59kg
CB Alan Knox 15, Mucusia | Height:182cm Weight:73kg

RM Owen McEwan 13, Regional Development Side D | Height:169cm Weight:69kg
LM, Katie Smart 14, Lammerton City | Height:166cm Weight:60kg
CM Torsten Wable 13, Port James Athletic | Height:176cm Weight:67kg
CM Ian Vincent 12, Handon Star | Height:165cm Weight:63kg

FC Ariane Gallagher 13, Regional Development Side A | Height:163cm Weight:62kg
FC Chris McKinsey 14, Cornellians | Height:172cm Weight:68kg

In an attempt to set up a youth system that will insure success in the years to come, Chromatika is proud to announce its first ever U-15 Team: (Reminder that minors do not have to have their colors revealed)

The Anomalies Juniors

Manager: Lia Van Piersce, Myana Islanders F (LVi) Age: 32
Van Piersce is Franscesca Larriet's assistant manager at Myana, and has been tasked with leading this team. Rumor is that it's been hard to find a formation that fits the team, and there is tremendous pressure to duplicate what Franscesca has done.

Formation: 4-4-2
Van Piersce has decided upon a defensive formation to nobody's surprise. Whether she has the players for that will remain to be seen.

STARTING XI

DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF ABANHFLEFT
NATIONAL ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL TEAM - UNDER-15s

This is the first time that Abanhfleft will be participating in the Under-15 World Cup. The Democratic Republic has a small history of producing young talents, with Rory Edwards, Karen Villegas, Kareem Dagen and Zsofia Dolan being just some examples of those bright young Fleftic players. At the under-15 level, though, it's a little more tricky in bringing out the latent talent in players. Most of the players on the current roster are girls, as part of the Samahang Futbol ng Abanhfleft's ongoing efforts to create a co-ed team and footballing culture, and also because, despite the women's team performing like shit, many girls are being inspired to take up the sport. But who knows if they'll still be playing for Abanhfleft in the future. Some of them might end up with the likes of Pridnestrovia, Oontaz Dert Li Ng, or, very fearfully, Copper Cuprum.

BASIC INFORMATION
Name of nation: Democratic Republic of Abanhfleft
Demonym: Fleftic
Team colors: Blue, orange, and green
Style modifier: +3
Formation: 4-2-3-1
Manager: Rashad Dammam (45 y/o, Oontaz Dert Li Ng)
First team coach: Jayson Weingart (38 y/o, Abanhfleft)

NOTE: All players are members of their teams' respective youth football academies.

STARTERS
GK: Elene Liner 14 y/o, Sarvusdalamoive Ladies Image, female
Even at her young age, Elene already has the look of a future fantastic keeper. Well, what else can be said about the Sarvusdalamoive Football Academy, which has turned out great Fleftic keepers like Maksim Varamoninov and Victoria Carter?

RB: Brooke Augustyn 14 y/o, Arsenal de Releinthi Ladies Image, female
Brooke is a decent enough defender, which is just about what would be expected for someone personally approached by Godric Wexler himself. Brooke could be a future Amanda Warren, or she could be a future Deborah McManaman. It's still up in the air.

RCB: Sonny William 14 y/o, Botafogo de Maranao Image (Oontaz Dert Li Ng), male. captain
Sonny is one of the best young players to come out of Oontaz and Botafogo in recent years. A Fleftic grandfather is more than enough to get Sonny playing for the Democratic Republic. He still has defensive liabilities in his game, but there's more than enough time to iron out the kinks. But whether he'll represent Abanhfleft in the senior team in the future is still up in the air.

LCB: Georgine Baum 13 y/o, Ludogorets Markovsky Ladies Image, female
Another player with foreign roots playing for the Democratic Republic. This time, Georgine's parents are immigrants, or rather expats, from Pridnestrovia, who escaped the country after her father said a few things that were not to President Field Marshal Stepan Stepanenko's liking. Georgine is more than likely to play for Abanhfleft in the future, but stranger things have happened. Arkadia Zubarenko did end up playing for Pridnestrovia after years in Abanhfleft's youth teams.

LB: Deborah Riddles 15 y/o, Keephall Valkyries Image, female
Right now, she's a left back, but Deborah is a natural wing-back who has the potential to develop into an out-and-out winger. Deborah is currently playing with the defense, but only because Claudia Roos is starting on the left wing.

RCM: Trinidad Kleist 15 y/o, Xemlice Rovers Ladies Image, female
At such a young age, Trinnie, as she likes to be called, is already developing into a no-nonsense center defensive midfielder, breaking up attacks and stopping counters. Unfortunately, that also means a lot of bookings and the occasional red card for her. Trinnie still has to learn to control herself, and surely she can keep a cool head now that she's playing on the international stage?

LCM: Cecily Segovia 14 y/o, Ladies of Santos FC Image (Oontaz Dert Li Ng), female
CeCe is the foil to Trinnie Kleist's hard-hitting CDM. The Oontaz-born central midfielder is the creative outlet for the midfield, setting up passes and long balls to initiate the attack. But that doesn't mean she shirks from her defensive responsibilities. Still, like Trinnie, CeCe is still a bit enthusiastic with the sliding tackles and will get her name on the referee's notebook a fair few times.

RW: Vanessa Massingale 13 y/o, West Releinthi City Ladies Image, female
Vanessa is all about pace, and nothing much else. All she can do is run up and down the pitch faster than a cheetah, but once she has the ball on her feet, it's a miracle if she can keep it for five yards. Vanessa's crossing ability is also, for lack of a better term, shit. But she's only thirteen, so there's still a lot of time for her to develop those aspects of her game. Still, why is she being picked over older, more experienced wingers, one may ask.

CAM: Kassandra Pratt 15 y/o, Riuwiee United Women Image, female
Riuwiee United are really going out of their way to make sure that their women's team is on par with the men's team. Kass has the beginnings of the playmaking attacking midfielder that the Blue Tribeswomen have sorely needed in their team, but it will still take a long, long time before she can be reasonably included into the first team.

LW: Claudia Roos 14 y/o, Dinamo Bender Women Image (Pridnestrovia), female
Claudia is the player on this team who is most likely to end up representing another nation once she hits the senior level. Abanhfleft is enjoying Claudia's services while she's still with the team, as she is already turning into a future star winger, what with her pace, crossing ability, and incisive runs into the box. Pridnestrovia will come knocking for her, and the SFA knows it, but while she's still playing for the blue, orange, and green, Claudia is Abanhfleft's best under-15 player.

ST: Elbert Judd 15 y/o, Admiral Porcusces Image, male
Bertie is the classic hold-up striker, receiving the ball and keeping it in possession until more members of the team arrive and give him some more attacking options. Unfortunately, Bertie doesn't have the body to be a hold-up expert. He's on the light side when it comes to male strikers in his age group, and all Porcusces can hope is that he manages to bulk up in the six years between today and a potential call-up to the national team.

Rags to Riches - Part One

Ross Academy of Sports, Ross, Anglatia

"This place is legit, eh?" said Blaze Chrzanowska, posing her question as more of a statement than a real question. She was, of course, standing with Ajay Oyekan, and Marco Saint Paul, outside of the main building of the Ross Academy of Sports, the nation's top developmental academy and training ground. Located outside of the capital, the trio of fifteen year olds had just flown in from their hometowns, meeting with the rest of the U-15 team as the final callups for the World Cup.

"The best. There's a reason why kids like Nik Hylander move from Valeria to stay in Ross and play here," replied Ajay, who was also impressed and was showing it more openly. "At least, it's way better than where I trained at Mjasa."

As soon as the three kids walked inside the facility and made their way to the locker room, they were met by the man who was waiting for them, coach Wes Rener. He was pretty recognizable by his height, standing at 6'7, and the second year manager of the youth team was trying to become a top manager after a playing career where he won multiple titles as a creative midfielder with Underfell FC and AC Ferraria. As usual, he was dressed casually, wearing a purple hooded sweatshirt that said 'EXPLORERS FOOTBALL' on the chest, along with a simple pair of grey sweatpants. "Welcome to the show, kids. Training is about to start, you three should get changed and you can join the rest of the team on the pitch," he said, motioning towards the jerseys that were hanging by the wall. The training kits were white and purple, matching the colors of the Anglatian flag.

The three nodded and changed quickly, before joining the rest of the team, who were warming up at one of the training pitches. "Now that everyone is here," started Wes, walking from the sideline to the middle of the field. "I want to talk to all of you before we begin. I'm sure you all have seen this, but the group we've been drawn in for the World Cup isn't going to be a walkover. We have to go up against Semarland and Devonta, both of whom are fielding strong teams, and even the bottom teams such as Kaboomlandia have a shot at upsetting the stronger teams and getting through. For many of you, this competition will be the hardest one you've competed in so far. But I want to remind you about something else. Since we're new to this competition, all the pressure is on them. If we beat any of the top teams, it's going to be a shock to the rest of the world. They'll underestimate you. Even though our matches look hard on paper, you need to remember that they don't have it better than us when it comes to circumstances."

"But what about how they have more talent and send players to bigger leagues?" asked Marco.

"How can you say that before we play them? Our nations have been rather isolationist until recently, the reason why we don't send players to international leagues is because they haven't taken note of us. But soon? The whole world will notice us if we get upset victories over the top teams," Wes replied. "And if that's not enough motivation, remember that the scouts from teams across the world will be watching. This doesn't matter to those of you who are younger, but for the members of this team that are fifteen, you have a real chance to join some of the world's best teams after this tournament. Now, if everyone is ready, let's split into groups and begin a five on five scrimmage. I want you all to work on your passing and attacking today, since this tactical system is different than what most of you are used to. Blaze, Fred, you two are the goalkeepers. Cam, Ray, Marco, Francis, Stella, you five will make up the white team, Caldinho, Tyus, Nik, Nia, and Ajay, you five will-"

Wes was interrupted when he saw that the others weren't paying attention but were rather watching Blaze. She had a look of distress on her face, and it was clear that had completely lost her composure. She was taking deep breaths and covering her face with her gloves, muttering incoherent words in Jugoskanian as if she was having a panic attack. "Are you alright, Blaze?" asked Ajay, frowning and placing a hand on her shoulder.

"I'm fine... I'm fine... I... Shit, I need a moment," Blaze sighed, running off and not looking back.

Wes looked between the team members, a frown on his face. "Andrya, Ilya, do either of you know what she was saying?" he asked, and both kids exchanged a glance and then shook their heads.

"I don't know what's wrong, she freaked out like this too during the Jugoskania youth camp," shrugged Andrya, and Ilya nodded. The tattooed midfielder didn't look concerned, she looked for sure like she had seen it happen before and was used to it. "Just wait, she'll come back eventually."

Wes took a deep breath and nodded, turning to the others. "Chris, you can step in at goal until Blaze comes back. I'll send Dimitra to speak to Blaze," he said, referring to the newly retired Dinamo Jugoskania player that now served as an assistant manager for the U-15s. "Let's get going guys... It's important that we practice well if we want to have a shot at winning this group."

Everyone said that Dimitra Cosic had retired too soon, at 30 years of age, and she definitely felt that way too, one year after her retirement. So whenever she had a chance to make herself 'one of the bros' in the locker room by helping players with their problems, on or off the pitch, she took it. "What's wrong?" she asked, walking into the locker room and finding Blaze sitting on the ground trying to compose herself, obviously very shaken by something. It was just a matter of figuring out what was troubling her.

"Nothing. I'm fine," Blaze very obviously lied. She wasn't really saying that she was fine, she was telling Dimitra to piss off. "I just need a few moments to myself."

"I'm not stupid... I can very clearly see that you aren't fine. What is it with you teenagers and always claiming to be fine?"

"I told you that nothing is wrong," Blaze said, raising her voice slightly. "Don't you have to go help Coach with practice?"

"Blaze... Andrya and Ilya might have been turning a blind eye but I wasn't. I'm from Jugoskania too, remember? I heard all those curses. What's bothering you?"

"Can you just leave me alone and mind your own business?" asked Blaze, now on the verge of tears. "You wouldn't understand. Please just go away."

"I might not understand, but I might be able to help. I played for eight years in your hometown, I'm sure I understand more than you think about you," Dimitra shrugged, moving to place a hand on her shoulder. Blaze struck out and pushed her away forcefully, slumping back down against the wall.

"I know you think you're helping, but you aren't," Blaze snapped. "This doesn't involve you. It's personal, okay? I only need a few minutes to get myself together to play, and you aren't helping. This doesn't concern you, so please just back off and leave me alone..."

Dimitra sighed and nodded, turning to the door. "Alright. But if you ever want to open up, remember that you can talk to any of the coaches here."

STAFF
Manager: Bernard Aristi, 43
A quiet, humble and important member of the national team setup since World Cup 60, Aristi was one of the national coaches of the national and youth teams while also being in charge of the first team training at Primero Liga side, Balmope Betis, the winners of Season 14. Despite that he was rarely featured by the media as he preferred to be low key throughout his coaching career. That did not stop the Mapletish Sports Federation to catch up with him though, as he was offered the managerial position for the national team. Aristi not only took up the managerial role but he has also volunteered to take charge of the youth teams as well and is keen to get his system in place right from the youths up as he is the first national team manager to take charge of the youth teams as well.

Assistant Manager: Josue Philippe, 43
The seat of the assistant manager changes with the manager itself. Josue Philippe fill this seat as a close friend of Aristi. Philippe was a former scout and coach for many of the top teams in the Primero Liga including, Golden Phoenix, Club Atletico, Balmope Betis and SC Galatasaray. This unique job combination gives him a thorough look at the different players in the national and international players' pool while a coaching job gives him the experience in the coaching of youth and first team players. The disciplinarian and ''resilient-man" figure will certainly intrigue the teams to do better. An excellent addition to the coaching team.

PLAYERS: - Starting Eleven
#1 - GK - Johnathan Silas - Age 14 - Balmope Betis
The first player on the team roster and it was Silas, the youngster from Primero Liga winners Balmope Betis is also an important man for the youth team. The Under 15 World Cup will certainly hone the skills of this young shot stopper who is fast, nimble and excellent distribution but he will have to step up his command of his area, although that is often covered up by his physical attributes.

#2 - RB - Cande Barrie - Age 14 - Home United - Captain
Barrie represents the core of a blue collar worker, with his impressive work ethics and no nonsense attitude which translates to his game. At a young age, he is already displaying the physical prowess in defence that is often seen in the older players in the youth leagues. Strong, fast, aggressive and work rate is what sets him aside from many of the other players his age.

#3 - CB - Mike Adrian - Age 14 - Prittsburgh
A tall, lean and quick centre back with excellent technique on the ball, just the final sprinkle in the making of a quality centre back who is finding his way into the Primero Liga if he continues his good work. Adrian was an important figure in his school's regional championships having won it in his primary school days helping the defence and the goalie from conceding any goal.

#4 - CB - Beaumont Theo - Age 14 - Golden Phoenix
Pairing up with Adrian is his counterpart who is known for his fearlessness in defence. Already an established defender in the youth side for Golden Phoenix for his tendency to track his opponents down like a predator hunting its prey, Theo is an annoyance to attacking players, although he is a little less accurate in his challenges.

#5 - LB - Ivor Diggory - Age 14 - Home United
An all round player on the defence, Diggory feels the most natural in the left back position. A talented and enthusiastic player, his defensive mindset allows him to cover his teammates when they go for an attack. Already an important player in Home United's U16 set up, he is definitely headed towards better things.

#6 - DM - Addison Blaine - Age 14 - SC Galatasaray Vice-Captain
An inspiring rugger and footballer, Blaine is a tough tackler in both ball sports, combative and has a high level of discipline. With commanding presence in the midfield, the midfield quickly catches onto his leads allowing the midfield engine to attack and defend effectively.

#7 - RCM - Zed Knox - Age 14 - SC Borussia Dortmund
A classic box to box midfielder, his dynamism on the field is well-loved by any team he goes to. Good shooting, passing and tackling was what helps him push up in attack to support the strikers and threatening from distance and also pressuring opposition offence back at the defensive line.

#8 - LCM - Jonatan Kelsey - Age 14 - Golden Eagles
Kelsey operates alongside Knox as one who likes to anchor himself in the midfield, distributing the ball for his roaming teammate Knox and the other forwards. Despite his defensive tendency, he is known to roam forward to aid the attack as well.

#9 - LAM - Heriberto Linden - Age 14 - Club Atletico
Right up at the attacking third, Linden pairs up with his team mate Diniz from Club Atletico U16 team. He compliments with a roaming Diniz right up in the front third as an advanced playmaker, often distributing killer balls to Diniz. With an upbeat tempo to his game, he not only ensures that the attack is well geared, he also goes back to the defence to help out when needed.

#10 - RAM - Amando Diniz - Age 14 - Club Atletico
As a hardworking, talented and disciplined player, his continuous training on the ball led to his killer technique and first touch. His selflessness, however puts his technique to good use as he makes effective usage of space to break into the defence or finds a teammate in space for the killer goal.

#11 - ST - Park Jun Hoo - Age 14 - Super Reds
Park is an all round attacking player that is equally adept at relaying killer balls to his teammates and creating chances for himself for the goal. His offensive mindedness and his ability to shoot and control the ball with either feet meant that he is more than capable of leading the front third in offence.

Bench

#12 - GK - Matias Filipe - Age 13 - Southampton
An athletic and imposing keeper, the young Filipe has a lot more to learn as one of the youngest player on the Under 15 squad, by being an understudy to Silas and Caetano, he can hope to learn a thing or two from the starting and back up keeper of Team Mapletish

#13 - GK - Bartolomeu Caetano - Age 14 - Northampton
An unfortunate injury just before the Under 15 team selection dampened his chances of being the starting keeper for the team, however his speedy recovery led him to being the backup keeper for the team as he looks to find his best form yet again as Aristi will not risk putting Caetano out for too long so as to allow him to recover fully from his injury.

#14 - CB - Ulisse Alberico - Age 13 - SC Milan
Physically strong with superb fitness level and great pace on the ball, he is an important player from SC Milan, despite his young age. Alberico will be understudying Mike Adrian to allow him to improve his game.

#15 - CB - Eligio Maldini - Age 14 - SC Rozairo
Only the toughest and the best remains in the squad and Maldini's fits the description. As one of the only tough tackling and unwavering defender in the squad together with captain, Cande Barrie, they are the only few blue collar styled players left in the youth national pool as more and more players detract away from such a style.

#16 - CM - Milko Vlado - Age 14 - Celtics Rovers
One of the exciting prospects coming up from Celtics Rovers who the Celtics' fans are eagerly watching out for. Vlado has the potential to be one of the members of the national team should he continue to work his way up. With a delicate eye for a neat pass and a level of technical skill for his age, he will certainly mold into a quality international player.

#17 - CM - Tafadzwa Ejiro - Age 14 - Sanlanzo Meta
Aggressive, fast and full of stamina was what sets Ejiro aside from most of the other midfielders. He is also a dynamic utility midfielder, but his injuries set him aside from the other players as well as Aristi will have to be careful to allow him for some match experience.

#18 - ST - Gottfried Niklas - Age 15 - SC Borussia Dortmund
An all rounded athlete and a familiar name of the youth leagues not only in association football but also in rugby union, ice hockey and various strength sports. His strong endurance and physical attributes helped to cover his other technical attributes. Creativity is also what sets him aside from many of the different players.

#19 - ST - Wendel Bjorn - Age 14 - Djax
A lesser known player from the other players in the roster, Bjorn is an all rounded attacking player who needs to build up experience, putting him on the bench and allowing him to learn.

TACTICS: 4-3-3, Simplicity is Bliss

The 4-3-3 by Aristi is an example of simple football advocated by Aristi for the younger players to the more senior players. The presence of this 4-3-3 involves the versatility of the players in the midfield, where the attacking midfielders can move up front for the attack or track back down on the defence to form a triangular midfielder for a 4-4-2 or a flat 4-5-1. Utilisation of the wings are the jobs of the left and right back while the central midfielders are also encouraged to venture out on the wings to provide for more attacking opportunities and team plays for the attacking third. Simple, efficient and fast - The Aristi 4-3-3

"So." she asked, staring at the man. A strong, rather toned man only with pants on, his dark-hair well combed. "Care to explain exactly how this goes?" The girl stared at him, wearing a confusing but colorful suit. Her wide eyes were noticeably confused but she tried to hide it, for the plan didn't make much sense to her. "I mean, you're normally not that into football matters."
He smiled, patting her on the head. "It's easy, my little butterfly. We want to make money." He simply nodded to himself, calm. "The current Sunrise doesn't need our product, however. And while I could go on and on about the advantages of cyborg technology..."
One of the girl's eyes flashed an orange light. "You mean people don't like blinking lights, Kyo?"
The man, named Kyo, nodded again. "They're fine, but they need substance. No benefit on looking like a rave party, unless you are on a rave party." He walked towards a large window, staring at the night skies of a beautiful Kazuichi-cho, a tech centre combined with small town a couple of roads away from Tokyoto. "On the other hand, showing more eficiency on your job is always good."
A smile came across his face. The girl simply floated towards him with an engine-powered dash, an engine that happened to appear all of a sudden behind her and hide behind what one would assume to be skin. "So we'll take over a company?"
He shook his head to the sides. "No. We'll see how they react once we coach their sub-national teams. That position has been respectless for years." He turned his back to her, revealing his right eye was now flashing red. "It's a good thing the heads at NSIFC don't mind having a surprise coach on their Under-15s." He calmly brushed her hair over one of her eyes, a result of that dash. "So, Mimi, your job is simple. Take the Under-15 team to the top."
Mimi twitched her head to the side. "Is there any punishment if I fail?"
Kyo walked past her. "A setback to our plans, but the Northern Sunrisian one is the more important thing."
An alarm sounded. "Mr. Kyo, the NSIFC has announced they're for the new "Machine" moniker, starting this Under-15 World Cup."
"Now go, my butterfly. We have money to make."

An emphasis on total football and passing play, usually short buildup play. Tries to play the ball out from the back as often as possible, drills crosses into the box. Plays offside trap instead of covering. [style mod - +2.75]

Furellum have lost a lot of players since the last U-15 World Cup, most to age, and some to political concerns. The nation's been through a lot, but the biggest change for football has been the change of clubs. Gone is the old league, and in its place the gangs that rose up after the fall of the archduke's regime have organised their own tournament. Many of the old teams have been reorganised into the new structure, if you can call it that. The result however, has been the return of youths to football. Furellum has always had a strong tradition in youth football, most notably winning the U-21 World Cup; a fact that is almost certainly due to the fact that it's seen as a pastime, not a career. Only a few adults play football in Furellum, mostly those on the national team and only occasionally, but this means the younger players have had experience against senior squad members. With a new direction, they'll hope to take Furellum back to the heights of youth football.

The team

The Kits
Image
The poor quality of the kits is almost certainly due to the fact that they are now made in Furellum which means that, due to the nation's medieval industrial state, they have to be sewn by hand.

The Strategy
Formation: 4-2-3-1
Style: -4.5

RP Permissions
No killing my players. Any injuries, not more than two players and nothing that would end a career or put them out for the tournament. Other then that, have fun.

"Ball, ball, here! I'm wide open!"

The shouts echoed in the pleasantly warm air, youthful exuberance striking a pleasing chord with the fresh scent of spring. Out on the lush emerald plains of Kazegahara, where the Kirisaki U15s were having their customary training camp before a major tournament - in this case, the U15 WC to be held in Schottia. It was where I, as the manager tasked with the care of the U15s, would assess the players' performance and make a final decision as to who would be on the flight to Schottia and who would be staying at home for extra practice.

"Hmm ... looks like I could take Amami along as first choice CM. I had her pegged down for a reserve role, but she's really staked her claim for a starting spot. Two assists so far, and a string of really nice passes in and around the area."

Nodding in satisfaction to myself, I swiped at my tablet, making notes on each individual player's performance on the pitch. We were pitting two U15 teams against each other, each comprising a mixture of U15 rookies and veterans, in a practice game. When all was said and done, I found practice games to be the most effective method for assessment of a player's abilities, and I always employed them for my team selections.

I watched on from the sidelines in silence, carefully observing my players as they played their hearts out on the pitch, vying for a spot on my final roster to be announced later in the day. Positioning, technique, physical aptitude; all factors that needed to be taken into account when I made my final selection. From time to time I would crouch on the sidelines in intense concentration as I spectated, noting every detail I could about each individual player's strengths and weaknesses. I would need all the data I could get for later use in Schottia.

"Hmm ... I wonder if the training camp has been enough preparation for the U15 WC. I didn't want to go too hard on the players, but the intensity of our training sessions might've been a little too relaxed ... sure hope they can cope with the rigours of a real game. Then again, they're going to be playing against opponents in the same age group as they are, so maybe I'm just worrying too much ... "

"Talking to yourself again, eh, Ikeda? Or is it an imaginary friend you're chattering away with?"

I raised my head to find a young girl, a mischievous grin on her face, looking down at me. She had the bright spring sun at her back, and I was forced to shade my eyes against the brilliant glare, before responding to her.

"Oh, shove off, Mikado. I got my work to do and you got yours. Get back to managing your team."

Chisato Mikado's wide grin bisected her laughing face into two as she followed my lead, crouching down by the sun-drenched pitch and cupping her cheeks in her hands. Although she was actually one year my senior at the IFA, she looked nothing like it; in fact, she didn't look like she was a day over fifteen. I knew for a fact that many IFA bigwigs who came for tours of the U15 footballing facilities often mistook her for one of the players, especially since she always dressed in training gear similar to most of the players'.

"Oh, they're doing just dandy without me. They're making a fine hash of things out there, if I do say so myself. Besides, it's not like I can do much except wait for them to settle and find their rhythm so early in the game~"

"A fine hash of things? They're getting harried in possession and beaten to every fifty-fifty ball! There won't be any rhythm left after fifteen minutes! Get back to your technical area and start fixing things!"

"Don't you worry your head, Ikeda, I got my game plan all set up perfectly. Just takes a little getting used to. Once my lot get into the groove I'll bet my bottom rin they'll kick Kazegaura's girls off the pitch."

I snuck a glance out of the corner of my eye at Minatsu Kazegaura, who was managing the other U15 team. She, too, was my senior at the IFA; by two years, in fact, and she was reputedly one of the most astute tacticians of her class. Her approach to coaching clearly shone through in her serious demeanour; unlike Mikado, who favoured a hands-off, relaxed approach with an emphasis on motivation, Kazegaura believed one could control a game through tactics and tactics alone. She was also an extremely sore loser, which was why she could now be found silently staring at the field of play, lost deep in thought as she pondered what strategy to employ next.

"Well, at least Kazegaura's taking her job seriously. You, on the other hand ... get back to your technical area and manage properly! I can't assess the players properly if they're not actually doing any playing!"

"Right, right, I'll listen to commander Ikeda's orders! Oh, before I do comply, though ... you might want to keep an eye on my team's Yuuhi Asuhara. First time she's playing in an actual practice game - she only joined our programme last week - but she's really good. Like, really, really good. Has a rare footballing intelligence about her, that one. Okay, I'll be heading back now~"

I shook my head in resignation as I watched Mikado wander back to her technical area. She was too relaxed, that one.

"She's my senior, but she's acting nothing like one ... "

I stood up and stretched, easing the pent up tension in my muscles.

"Guess I'll take a closer look at Asuhara."

I whipped out a stylus from its compartment in my tablet and tapped on the screen with it, searching for Yuuhi Asuhara's file with a series of quickfire taps.

"Yuuhi Asuhara ... there she is."

I tapped once more on the document with her name on it, waited for the app to launch, and began to read.

"Oh ... ?"

What is it like to be the younger sister of the most famous football player in the country? How about to not only be the younger sister, but also play the exact same position? These kind of questions have been asked to Whitney Kelly for most of her childhood, and into her teenage years. Being nine years younger than your older sister is a challenge, but being seven inches taller and choosing to play right winger as well? Pretty suicidal if you wanted to avoid all comparisons for the rest of your life. However, Whitney wasn't one to shy away from a challenge.

She had grown up watching her older sister play through high school, as far as she could remember. Jean and John Kelly, both of Z'ai'ai, had raised their kids playing ball, through the youth leagues and at Mount Niar High School, under the leadership of Henry Roche, one of the best high school coaches in the nation. Whitney went to every game Meagan played at Mt. Niar for the Roughriders, watching her sister win the State Title three times and the National Title once. Now, Whitney herself was at Mt. Niar as a Sophomore, and dominating the league. She didn't have the same speed as Meagan, but she was seven inches taller and able to fight defenders off the ball more. Her height and her size dissuaded all but the most dedicated of defenders from challenging her, and more often than not she wasn't challenged much in games. She was All-State First Team and All-Nation Second Team as a Freshman, and going to have an even more dominating season in her Sophomore year, when she received the news that Chromatika would be sending a team to the U-15 World Cup, being held in Schottia. She jumped at the opportunity, of course, only to be called personally by the Manager and invited onto the team. Now, she would be the Captain of this squad, and expected to perform against the best budding youngsters of the world.

To be honest, she had never heard of most of the players on her team with her. Valence and Molly were just like her - siblings or cousins of the current Starting XI of the National Team - but other players like Mia Ria and Ga-yeong Han weren't from anywhere she could remember. It would be up to her for them to jell together, though, and if there was one thing about the Kellys, it was that they never shied away from a challenge.

A challenge to make the Kelly name proud, while asserting herself as more than just the younger sister of Meagan Kelly? Yes, please. Oh, she would take it head-on, and if she had it her way, she would excel. Only the results remained to be seen.

Mattijana has chosen a pacey squad for the Workd Cup aiming to surprise others with a direct style of play which combines fast wingers and strikers with strong center forwards and a tendancy for flicked through balls which can cut any opposition apart. The preffered formation is a 4-4-2 with advanced full-backs and wingers to add an extra dimension to offensive play.

Defensively, the team employs hard-working, no-nonsense defenders whose main job is to make the tackles and play forward for the midfielders and attackers to do the forward play. Danil Fontič is always a threat at corners with a large physical presence and he is a very competent header of the ball.
