The plane is nearly 15000 pixels wide. I'm not spending time doing details for it, especially not when Flash squashes all the details together when zoomed out and makes it look shit. Grow up.

I'm not taking any sides or anything but I don't see where you're coming from. If Flash isn't working for details, why not use a different program? Why work at such a massive scale if you won't add detail in the first place?

Because I never work at such sizes. This was just my submission for the dick measuring contest. Most times I'm working well with in 1500px, where I can do detail that can be seen without zooming in. Flash can do amazingly small detail, but at 15000px it's not worth it.

Vis just gets mad whenever I don't draw the way he wants me to.

It's interesting that he's going "nurr I can't add details to a 15k px picture" when I'm over here producing Thunder Oak at an original image size of 20,000px across and it still has more detail - and shading. Did you know I actually had to use a different program to finish it because by the time it was done it was literally too big for my vector program to handle?

Introducing a new and improved federal and royal artillery tracklayer. Might get some updates down the line as relief carvings on the turret or something similar to brighten up the day of everyone involved in lobbing shells down the enemy's throat for king and country.

Well I drew a shitty top view to get an idea of the wingspan. I will likely not do any more of the top view because of how hard it is to draw on the limits of the canvas size. It's like 123m.

But then wherever it crashes it will hit the ship. It's so big it's safer to not shoot it down.

A 16" shell fired from a mark 50 gun has a maximum range of 38 km against surface targets, so assuming it reaches its peak ballistic trajectory at 19 km, this would represent it's maximum effective range against an aerial target. Assuming an altitude of 6,000 meters (listed service ceiling of the H-4 Hercules), the flying boat would need an L/D ratio of 3.16 to hit the ship. This also assumes the ship is stationary and the plane is flying directly at it at a constant speed.

Also planes should be scaled based on their intended payload or armament. If it's purely a strategic airlifter then such a size might be justifiable but the presence of defensive armament indicates a more offensive role. So unless your planning on launching V-2s from the bomb bay I would consider making it a much more sensible size.

On the other hand I have a WW2 bomber idea where you would have a B-29 with a V-1 (modified with folding wings) slung under each wing and another one slung under the fuselage X-1 style.
