OOC: To wherever I got my former national team players, I apologise as you have to um... bury them. Heh...

Meistriliiga VII

Image

The 7th season of Meistriliiga is over, after 150 years of war, 50 years of recovery and relocation to a whole new island, the remaining civilians restarted the league with the same old teams. Football never died in the meanwhile as people kept playing in amateur clubs, like they used to, as well as street football, which was much of a help. Anyway, the first part of the season from July to October, started off really well, 11 matchdays that definetely brought back some of the fun to the Estenians. Vijallu's got an early advantadge of 5 points from second Turtu Sadam which struggles keeping its position with Kortu Dunamo and Ouusupti that are really close. So far so good. A league which has a joy to watch in the offence but not the defence.

Code: Select all
Ouusupti  1–0 Nantlans
Levadia Narkiv 1–2 Vijallu
Rannin FC  1–2 Resnov
Raardu  2–1 Juunu
Morna 0–1 Turtu Sadam
Kortu Dunamo 3–2 Jelle FC

Pld W D L GF GA GD Pts

1 Vijallu 11 8 1 2 13 6 +7 25
2 Turtu Sadam 11 5 5 1 14 7 +7 20
3 Kortu Dunamo 11 6 1 4 16 15 +1 19
4 Ouusupti 11 5 3 3 13 8 +5 18
5 Morna 11 4 4 3 16 12 +4 16
6 Nantlans 11 4 3 4 13 8 +5 15
7 Rannin FC 11 4 1 6 15 15 0 13
8 Raardu 11 3 4 4 9 11 −2 13
9 Resnov 11 2 5 4 12 15 −3 11
10 Levadia Narkiv 11 3 2 6 14 20 −6 11
11 Juunu 11 2 4 5 10 20 −10 10
12 Jelle FC 11 2 3 6 11 19 −8 9

22 matchdays, the players are getting used to it, so are the people, the league starts to gain more interest, the first position is a done thing, Vijallu's far ahead everyone with 45 points already which is impressive. The second place is currently contested by the teams ranked from 2nd to 6th as we see a lot of ambition and rank changes in just 11 games. Goalscoring's a common thing, as double the goals scored last time were scored here, which was called the "Goalstorm" by the people. Jelle, 4 time champions, are in the last position, something that has made a huge havoc to Estenian sports newspapers and other sports tabloids.

Code: Select all
Nantlans 1–0 Ouusupti
Vijallu 1–2 Levadia Narkiv
Resnov 1–1 Rannin FC
Juunu 0–1 Raardu
Turtu Sadam  1–2 Morna

11 Juunu 22 6 6 10 23 37 −14 24
12 Jelle FC 22 6 5 11 22 29 −7 23

A whole new beginning, a crazy third part just finished and bam, Ouusupti's getting really close to Vijallu with 6 points of difference, Nantlans quickly approaching in 3rd place and a close by is Kortu Dunamo. It's really shocking how you see the drama that was made up for the 2nd place move up all the way for the first. That is a whole new and crazy thing, will any of these teams emerge as the champion, or will Vijallu keep the first place? Let's find out.

The last matchday, the last matchday was the most crucial one for the whole league, Vijallu had to win in order to stay first, on the other Kortu also had to win to go up to the first place. Vijallu tied with Levadia Narkiv, thus giving Kortu Dunamo a chance to win the league, which it did by crushing Jelle FC with 0-3, which made them champions for the first time ever in Meistriliiga.

Welcome to the Daineri Football Newswire! This is truly the end of a era, and I'm not talking just about the fact that this newswire is now split into parts because it's gotten too big for one post. I'm talking about the retirement of Onze Letras from football. This is a player that has been a part of our UICA-era fixtures for so long, many just assumed he'd last forever. Alas, he waited until celebrations have ended and the transfer window came up to announce that he wouldn't grace our fields with his elegant style anymore.
There's not enough superlatives to describe what Onze Letras was for Daineri football. Eight-time Emerald Ball winner. A total of nine national titles (seven leagues and two cups), plus three Super Cup trophies with him leading Korriga. A player that united strength and finesse, capable of incredibly subtle touches and terrifyingly fierce long range shots. A dead ball artist like few. A leader in the field and an example outside of it. The greatest Daineri player of our generation.

Who's going to fill the 10-shaped hole left in our hearts? Time to see if we can find out this season!

THE DECISIVE GAME
Matchday 29, Ragaman 5–0 Sport Wios

Coming in to this match, Sport Wios needed a win if they wanted any chance to keep their title hopes alive. They also had to hope Isper would lose their match against Adda, as any point gained at all in the last two matches would send the trophy to Undina.
Ragaman languished in the mid-table and didn't look like the kind of adversary that would pressure Sport Wios much. That impression was destroyed not long after the first whistle.
Leite Aquino had spent the 48 hours previous to the match giving the top brass at Neara and Igor Prekrasov the fits with his bluster, but in the field he was nothing but delightful. The Sport Wios defence simply didn't know what to do with him. Not a minute in, and he had already scored, heading in a Ruby set-piece. Another chance followed, a run followed by a cross to the far post but Esperanto nodded wide. Only four minutes later, Ruby scored hers from a sensational free-kick. Sport Wios was making defensive mistakes left and right, which Ragaman was keen to punish. In the 21st minute, another set-piece was curled towards the edge of the box by Ruby, landing on Leite Aquino, and the Nobles' defence panicked. They were unable to predict his backheel pass to Esperanto, who blasted it past Tayot.
The second period started like the first - with another goal. 12 minutes in and Ruby, ever the fulcrum of the Ragaman team, saw Esperanto darting behind the defenders and teed him precisely. Tayot deflected the effort but it landed at the feet of Leite Aquino for his brace. At this point, the spirits of the visiting team were broken, and the rest of the game proceeded at a glacial pace. It was only broken at the 81st minute, when Smouk sent a low ball to Ruby in the semicircle. She just opened her legs and left the Sport Wios defenders for dead, Leite Aquino running into the space and scoring his hat-trick with two touches.
Isper did lose their match, suffering a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Adda, but they went home winners thanks to this result. To the Sport Wios fans and players, all that remained was to go home and forget this nightmare.

Congratulations to the champions!

THE DECISIVE GAME
Matchday 29, Shitrom 0–2 University

University's job was simple. Three points at the Druki, and they would be champions with a match to spare. And thanks to a masterclass display by Gomes, they did just that. Only the win mattered for them, and they wanted the title to prove themselves after the humiliating relegation last season. Along with the 44-year-old stalwart in midfield they had a defense of home-grown teens Judi and Fierro, Sunrisian Christian Ermac and new sensation Gerçon between the posts.
The game started tentative, with Shitrom trying to gain control of midfield and University content in waiting for them to attack. Their complacency almost cost them the game when an early curling effort by Meissa tested Gerçon's reflexes. Only slowly the All-Whites began to took control of the match, but it remained a tense affair. The relief of the away crowd could be felt when Gomes finally found an opening just before the break, lobbing a pass over the Shitrom defense, Ryumi controlling it on her chest before volleying it past Desirée with the tranquility of a veteran.
After the break, 21 minutes passed during which one could ask if the home players wanted to just watch, as they could barely maintain possession while University passed the ball back and forth. Finally, at the 66th minute, Razzmatazz picked out Elstrup, and he nodded to Bobby Sauro for a thunderbolt volley. Shitrom reeling back from the deficit, University pressed them. 76 minutes, Tei Tenga hit the post with a header and the ball went wide after rebounding off Razzmatazz's face. Right after, Gomes sent a sugary pass to Bobby Sauro but Desirée deflected the shot. Tei Tenga was next, firing a long range shot that plinked off the inside of the post. Shitrom almost had the chance for a comeback when a mistimed offside trap left Ipqeny free, but she hesitated and gave time for Reif-Slusher to race back and block her. The final whistle came with tears of joy for many players for whom this was the first taste of national silverware - and while some would expect none less from a team as huge as University, Gerçon, Tei Tenga and co. gave it a first tier celebration.

Congratulations to the champions!

THE DECISIVE GAME
Matchday 29, Furinkazan 0–1 Sukatora Sassa

Sukatora Sassa needed two points in the last two matches to win the title. With Tarmac trailing so close in goal difference, they would be certain to finish ahead if the Tigers dropped goals. Of course, a single win would render the whole scenario moot and guarantee the DLB trophy.
In spite of their defensive past, Sukatora started out carrying an offensive threat. Nashira was the name, firing two crosses towards the area that passed narrowly away from meeting a friendly foot. It was Furinkazan who wasn't interested in possession and their counter-attacking plan almost worked if it weren't for Yuba smothering a cross that caught his defensive line out of position. Not long after, the Tigers' goalkeeper worked again, deflecting a Smitheroon header and rising again to defend Matteo's rebound.
The home team dominated the proceedings and Basequin found an opening to pass to Ivanka, who botched the shot. Torrential rain further slowed Sukatora down and soon Jethro was the one to try a lobbing pass but this time Dudu was ready to clear under pressure. Sukatora's best chance came when Len managed to slip past a marker and have a clear path to goal, but Gonzaga recovered in time to tackle him away.
Furinkazan wanted to begin the second half at full tilt, and within moments of the start Smitheroon tested Yuba's confidence in a quick run towards goal. Sukatora Sassa fired back and had Bastard scrambling to catch the ball when Townsend's cross found Forsell, but the effort went wide. End-to-end strikes were seen as Furinkazan attacked again with Murrah finding Matteo with a cutting pass, and he somehow missed from six yards. Sukatora's next turn came with Len finding Sasha unmarked in the box but Bastard dived in just in time.
Now the momentum was shifting towards the visitors, who managed to trap Furinkazan around their own box. Gwidion managed to move forward from defence to find Forsell, who clipped Mimaré and fired just over the crossbar. The striker would soon find another opportunity to prove himself, however, and this time he would show why he is considered the Tigers' central player. Seven minutes from full time and he found the breakthrough, eluding both of Furinkazan's center backs and heading in a Nashira cross.
The three points meant that there was nothing left to do but celebrate.

Congratulations to the champions!

Tio Bobô promised plenty of spirit coming on to this match. The performance his team put out, however, made it look like they were actually drinking the spirit. Showing none of the consistency and drive they had during the league season, they stumbled across a determined Limoeiro that gave them the biggest drubbing yet in a SuperCup. Sawnik scored a brace, and could have made more.
The game began at a quick pace, with Sawnik forcing an early save out of Zed, and Isper responding in kind forcing Eärendil to deflect Astrobildo's powerful drive out to a corner. Another round of end-to-end strikes followed before the ten minute mark as Zed denied Sawnik a close-range volley and Eärendil was forced into an awkward position to stop Arex from cutting around the post.
The first goal came at the 11 minute mark. Isper's defence was split open by Neigetsu's high pass, and Sawnik headed it away from Zed's reach.
Isper reacted to the goal by closing ranks and tightening the defence, and they spent the entire rest of the first half on their back foot. it wouldn't take long for the second goal to happen, five minutes in fact. Jão Senora and Cafiaspirino swapped first-time passes until the Limoeiro captain set up his partner's run behind the defence, leaving him with the easiest of tap-ins. A third goal almost came moments later, with Jão Senora rounding out Zed only to fire into the side netting.
The second half started with an even more apathetic Isper and lively Limoeiro. At 55 minutes, one more goal. Melefam failed to clear a Jão Senora free kick and Jão Senora headed it back across goal. The ball found Shah, who nudged it towards Sawnik for his second of the day. 3-0.
Isper's only response came from Bio, who hit both posts with long-range shots. That wasn't enough and, at the 62nd minute, a deceptive cross from Shah went past everyone, including Zed who let it enter his net, though it seemed like Deusdabola had headed it in he was already inside the goal.
At this point, Isper tried to apply some pressure, wih Bio firing off-target and Joey Idle heading over the bar, but that only resulted in more Limoeiro humiliation. Jão Senora swung in a free kick from the left and Eggihard drilled a shot past Zed on 78 minutes.
The final nail in the coffin came three minutes later, a dribbling Eggihard down the right side finding Jão Senora at the edge of the box, who then fired to score his own. Eärendil still found time to flick a Tsukuyomi header over the crossbar before the end, but at this point it was all over.

SEASON PRIZES
Emerald Ball
Jão Senora (Limoeiro) - Age has definitely slowed him down, but his touch is still precise as ever. There's no doubt that the "Genius of Limoeiro Field" carried the Gang to this Cup win - the third in his career with the club.
Emerald Boot
Larry Lewis (Ptolomaios) - 61 goals - Ptolomaios has been extraordinarily prolific this season, thanks in no small part to the goalscoring prowess of "Mr. Hero". He is the first foreign player to breach the 60 goal mark in a single season.
Emerald Glove
Tayot (Sport Wios) - again the Cinderella of Daineri goalkeepers earns another season prize for his consistent performances season round, though this time opinions were much more divided on who was the best.

ALL-STAR TEAM
1 - Tayot (Sport Wios)
2 - Raimundo Nonato Jr. (Sport Wios)
3 - Joey Idle (Isper)
4 - Deusdabola (Limoeiro)
5 - Neigetsu (Limoeiro)
6 - Kantemir (Minigoleada)
7 - Lucos (Isper)
8 - Gomes (University)
10- Jão Senora (Limoeiro)
11- Astrobildo (Isper)
9 - Larry Lewis (Ptolomaios)

Dainer (DAI) qualifiers:
Champions' Cup: Isper, Sport Wios

Globe Cup: Ispingilovi, Minigoleada, Eclipse

Series B Champions' Cup: University, Sun Coast, Tarruço

Youth Cup: Minigoleada

Cygnus Cup: Limoeiro

Heritage Cup: Xistrumbigonça, Voley

Dainer (DAI) final site bid:
CHAMPIONS' CUP - Piteka Colosseum, Cidade Pupidu (cap. 100,000) - home of Xistrumbigonça
Rising like a dark monolith out of the greenery, the Colosseum is built for atmosphere above all else. Black tiles adorn the locker rooms and the tunnel, and the highly slanted stands - also colored pitch black, as are the beams and the roof - give the crowd even more of a looming presence over the players. Some opposing players reported feeling vertigo when the stand lights are dimmed down and they're surrounded by darkness on all sides, the crowd chanting at them.

Cosumar (COS) final site bids
Series B Champions Cup 59 / Youth Cup 14: Fire River Arena, Ramusok (80,000)
The Venue: One of the oldest and most historic football stadiums in Cosumar. Fire River Arena was the home of the Cosumar National Team for its first five World Cups (51-55) prior to construction of Kaldukosic's Leviathan Arena for World Cup 56. Fire River Arena still hosts the first home World Cup Qualifying match each cycle out of tradition, as well as the odd friendly. Domestically, it is the home of the Harlighet Ligan's Ramusok United. The club's supporters fill the arena with blue shirts each weekend. Though it may not have some of the high-tech amenities of newer stadiums, Fire River Arena makes up for it with its charmingly artsy interior décor, history and famously spacious walkways. It is also praised for its well-organized parking and transportation systems, making it well-equipped to handle an international event such as the SBCC. It got its curious name from a local legend. The Sampson River, which runs into the ocean just a mile away from the stadium, was a key tactical location in the battles of ancient Cosumar. When Mikael The Magnificent completed his conquest of the area, he was said to have kept miles of its shoreline in flames as a sign of sheer intimidation. He was even said to have dumped such a quantity of explosives into the river that flames danced upon the waters for two whole nights.

The Area: Ramusok. The capital city. Home of the royal family and King's Congress. Epicenter of multiple historic dynasties. Bastion of knowledge and creativity. Diverse and eccentric, yet clean and elegant. Ramusok is the crown jewel of Cosumar, the pinnacle of a thousand years of Cosumarite civilization, and one of the finest cities in the Multiverse. As a global city, people of all kinds live here, though the city does still have a bit of a Swedish component leftover from the old Albertsson dynasty, evident in some of the place names. Chilly but not severe winters and warm but not hot summers, and pleasantly moderate most of the year. If you appreciate history, Ramusok has much to offer: from the decadent Palace at Område av Storslagenhet to the iconic Thomas Street to the ancient jewel-studded Monolith of Lyra, shrouded in mystery. There are centuries-old libraries and museums everywhere. Yet Ramusok also boasts some of the most stunning modern architecture in the world, coexisting with the ancient in harmonic balance. Just see the stunning all-glass resorts and offices overlooking the water on Azure Lane. Or the Forest of Lamneth - the largest urban nature park in Cosumar. The nightlife is extravagant thanks to the young and "hip" population with many prestigious universities in town. Make sure to catch some of the live music at night - there are venues specifically dedicated to genres ranging from black metal to neoclassical to indie pop to avant-garde jazz.

Nephara (NPH) final site bids
CHAMPIONS CUP FINAL SITE BID: Farham Arena, Sabrefell - 88,000 capacity

Nephara's one truly national stadium, located in the heart of the capital of Sabrefell, the Farham Arena (named for Joan Farham, pioneer in and leader of the fight for professionalism in Nephara) is arguably the main landmark of the city. Its reputation as a fortress was sealed when the Cormorants - starting from the Qualifiers for World Cup 65 - went ten years unbeaten at home, and while the capacity has steadily shrunk to comply with modern safety regulations, it remains a fitting venue for a true spectacle. It's already hosted the Campionato Esportiva third-place playoff, but the NFA feels as though the time is right to present itself as the rightful venue for one of the world's most important matches. With no attached club (it only hosts national team matches and Cup finals), it neatly avoids the pitfall of being the home ground of a potential finalist.

Final Site Bid: Champions Cup

The 66 Stadium
Cathair, Central, Audioslavia
Capacity: 85,500
The 66 Stadium, called the Arena Kirola for marketing purposes, became the home stadium of the Audioslavia national football team for World Cup 66, for which it was built. One could call the Kirola Arena 'modern', but as the word tends to imply abstract minimalism and modest use of space, the word isn't quite the right one to use. The arena features a large shopping complex, complete with cinema, an array of chain cafes and restaurants, three gyms, a swimming pool and even a sauna. The conference rooms are numerous, large and lavish, and the media centre for visiting journalists and television crews is arguably one of the biggest and hi-tech in the world.

As for the football part of the stadium, one could be forgiven for thinking it was an afterthought, squeezed in at the last minute between the vast media complex and larger of two fast food restaurants. In truth, the narrow, long pitch is perfectly suited to the cautious, defensive, kontrapuntzeka brand of football played by the Audioslavian national team and adopted by club tenants 1830 Cathair, who won not only five LigAnaia championships at the ground but also their first and (to date) only UICA Champions Cup trophy. The narrow playing area, towering stands (the FFA's insistence on large, comfortable seating for each punter necessitated the stadium's vertigo-inducing height, with three tiers encircling the pitch) and large roof lets little light in during the day, but keeps the sound of the crowd echoing around the arena allowing for a deafening atmosphere. The the state-of-the-art floodlight system, bright white goal nets and high, white walls between the grass and the stands - laden with electronic advertising for big games - gives the stadium a distintive look, perfectly suited to live television.

Final Site Bid: Globe Cup / SBCC

The Antzerkia

Ferramendiak, Herradura, Audioslavia
48,000
The Antzerkia ws one of three brand new stadiums built for World Cup 66. The absence of much in the way of useful flat ground in the Ferramendiak region, and the demand for the region to be used at some point in the World Cup, necessitated the construction of the stadium into the ground or, to be exact, partially into a mountain. It is a nod towards the Paladindome in New Montreal States, which was constructed by Audioslavians before World Cup 10, although the Antzerkia is much closer to ground level than its spiritual predecessor.

The northern and eastern stands are restricted to just one level due to the presence of the mountain side and the expensive landslide protectors hovering over them. The forty-six steel tunnels built into the mountain serve as awe-inspiring entrance ways into the two stands, especially as one begins the journey into the stadium without first viewing it from the outside.

The southern and western stands are two tiers and make up for in size and comfort what the mountainside stands lack, while the corners remain unfilled to leave a wonderful view of the gothic architecture of Ferramendiak's city centre below. The stadium's modest capacity precludes it from hosting the bigger games, but COCANEFA feel it's perfectly suited to the smaller Globe Cup.
Confederation Of Calanian And North-Eastern Football Associations
We're a bit like that big blob in Akira only with the North East of Atlantian Oceania as our post-apocalyptic dystopian Tokyo (so not that much of a difference, then)
Mertagne, Audioslavia, Starblaydia, Legalese, Osarius, Krytenia, Royal Kingdom of Quebec, Semarland

Electrum (ETM) final site bids
Globe Cup: Olympic Stadium, Centralis, capacity 100,000
Image

The Olympic Stadium is the largest stadium in all of Electrum, with a capacity of 100,000 and was built on reclaimed land as a place to host the Summer Olympics opening ceremony, and group stage matches, as well as the finals matches for the Football tournament of the Games of the XI Olympiad. It is occasionally used for Terranean League matches where its capacity is warranted, and hosts the finals of the Copa Terranea as well. This Stadium will also host the primary matches of the Electrum NT. The recent building of the Olympic Stadium has meant that it contains new innovations, such as LED screens that ring around the entire stadium, meaning more fan entertainment and greater advertising capacity. The stands all around the stadium contain several food and beverage booths with cuisine from all around the multiverse, from tacos to burgers, with of course alcohol (mainly beer and wine) being served as well. Because of the international prestige of the Globe Cup, it is guaranteed that all of the stadium's 95,000 seats and 5,000 standing room areas will be filled to capacity, creating a true Stadium experience.

Cygnus Cup: Somersville Stadium, Somer, capacity: 40,000

The first thing that is striking about Somersville Stadium is the intense red and orange seating around the stadium. Those are the colours of the normal occupants of this Stadium, Somer City and Surrounds, a team in the Terranean League. Somer is known for having the most friendliest of fans in the entire nation, and will cheer fairly for both sides, no matter the reputation of each nation (with perhaps a small bias towards the underdogs). For tourists, Somer is known as the family-city, with various water and dry theme parks on the coast facing the Endemien Sea. With family fun and crystalline beaches, there will be plenty to do in Somer. This stadium also hosted some matches in the World Bowl.

Season 1974

If last season was a bitter pill for CAP, then this season must have felt like an absolute nightmare for the club and its supporters. After leading the league for the first three fourths of the season, an end of season trio of draws saw their lead evaporate and allow Tani to snatch the title from them during the home stretch. If that was not bad enough, their rivals pipped them in a memorable Final of the Copa, being the first club not named CA Paulinthal to pull the domestic double and having the giants of the land have to content themselves to a pair of second place medals in both of the domestic competitions. It can hardly come as a huge surprise though, after Tani's offseason spending spree enabled them to retain that title they they so proudly won last season.

It was not just Tani that brought in plenty of foreign talent, as several clubs in the SuperLiga brought in some supplemental players or what they hoped to be the one missing ingredient in a true title run. It saw the level of play this season definitely rise up a notch and may well be the focus of the clubs and league as they look to strengthen their reputation even more in the international community. The SuperLiga is seemingly on a gentle rise in both popularity, respect, and play. If the clubs wish to maintain this momentum, then perhaps diversifying the talent and bringing in these stars to multiple clubs is the step in the right direction. The UICA results next season will be a good barometer, as Galatica, Santos, and Club Stein-los will be joining the two titans in the UICA competitions. Galatica is certainly favored to make it to the group stage, though don't be surprised if Club Stein-los does as well, though Santos likely doesn't have the depth to contend with their peers, at this stage.

In keeping with our bizarrely weird takes on the early history of a country in a parallel reality, the story of Matchday Twenty-Eight.

Trink: Aha, Keppal Cosmos!
Keppal City: Yes...Eintracht Trink?
Trink: Did you hear about old Percy Eskridge? You wouldn't think...
Keppal City: No.
Trink: He'll start coaching now...
Keppal City: Yeah?
Trink: After the UICA. The Spenson legacy is secure.
Keppal City: Walkovers!
Trink: All they had to do was show.
Keppal City: It's a lot less work.
Trink: We oughta give it a go.
Keppal City: So...
Trink: Going to visit Slogda? Think you can clinch?
Keppal City: If we can get a full point, come through in a pinch.
Trink: Really?
Keppal City: "Fight less...defend more."
Trink: Heh.
Keppal City: Do whatever it takes, cause they're playing a minus four.
Trink: Now, Craton and Hapra's wins are snowballing--
Keppal City: They can lose, make us a winner.
Trink: Keppal!
Keppal City: Hey, have fun in the Globe Cup.
Trink: Excuse you--
Keppal City: Let's not let our lead get any thinner.

Trink: The defenders and contenders go climbing up a hill
There's a title to be won. Fun!
They emerge with a consummation, shutting doors that were
Previously begun; done.

Keppal Cosmos emerges with their second title
Slogda's system needs attacking assistance;
(Just don't ask for the kind from the capital;
We're better without their "resistance";)

But--

No one else was on the field where it happened.
Though we like to show how the game is played
Take part in few trades
As the few goals get made
Put up our shields when it happens--
We don't get to the field when it happens.

Craton screams--
Craton: Keppal came down to the Alai foothills one day
Districtless, in disarray,
Trink: Craton dreams--
Craton: Keppal led--
Keppal City: This time will be our turn!
craton: And basically told us it was time to play.
Trink: Craton's game:
Craton: Hapra's fans approached us and said--
"We love you so much, we'll echo all you have to say,"
Trink: Craton's shame:
Craton: Well, we all tried competing,
Doymals is where we played 'em, with stadium seating.
Trink: But! No one else was on the mount where it happened.
No one strikes the blows
When we party, get to "yesssss!"
The pieces that are sacrificed in
Every game we stresssss
The scores just count when it happens
But no one else is on the mount when it happens.

Meanwhile--
Hapra fans are grappling with their flags, which they must drag through the monorail transit.
Meanwhile--
102d and Arlington are no testament to defense--
Or to who plans it.
But Craton's there for every home game, with their invite
And Hapra responds as always, to Slogda's delight.
Hapra: We'll be there to cheer you on once again, hopefully win a victory for the southerners, until then;
Craton: Say when!
Hapra: We're no has-been!
Craton: Here it goes...
Hapra: Melanie Simbrouska scores their first goal.
Craton: That isn't good.
Hapra: Our offense must pick up the slack!
Craton: It's not worthy of much note.
Hapra: There's still time, I suppose.
Craton: Let's go!

Trink: No one else was on the grass where it happened!
Oh, we pawn,
We pawn some n00bs,
And Slogda's season goes down the tubes.
One pass--then it happened!
And no one else was on the grass when it happened.
Keppal Cosmos!
How do you walk into and out of Doymals Stadium without a shiver?
Keppal Cosmos!
When you set out to dethrone the champions, how do you deliver?
Keppal Cosmos!
Or did you know since matchday thirteen you would lead
When you won the home leg, one to nil?

Keppal City: Cause we beat Slogda, we took the first spot.
Trink: You got more than you lost.
Keppal City: And we wanted what we got.
When they have hope in the race, they stay in the game
They're at the end of the rope, no time to play in the game.
Now our stadium sucks, they say it has curses,
But it won't stop our
Verses, verses, versus--
So don't show us pity
Even if our district
Doesn't have our city.
What do you want, Trink?
Are you just discordant, and making a big stink?

Trink: We wanna be in the room where it happens!
When will we be on the rise,
Blazing a trail all across the skies?
When will we be leaders, win the day?
When will we have a say in who makes the best play?
We dream of a brand new start,
With most teams in their parks, for the most part,
Just sensing doom when it happens.
But we'll make a boom when it happens!
