PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS
Character Name: Audette Murphy
Character Gender: Female
Species (nation personification, human, alien, etc): Augmented Human
Age: 24
Appearance: A fit, aggressive-looking woman, standing at 5'7", Caucasian, blonde hair, blue eyes, with tattoos. Audette's sharp eyes and stance give off an unsettling disposition.
URL to Character Picture, if any: Kewl
Primary Objective: (What is your character's main goal? This should be the thing that drives their part of the plot.) To carry out her orders and look after an employer's daughter, if only to keep her from having nothing to do; also, to defend her home/post against possible threats and put down all hostile forces.
Secondary Objectives: (What other goals does your character intend to achieve? These should drive subplots.) To indulge in her own selfish desires, whether it be getting into someone's pants, making a quick buck, or otherwise putting herself in a good position.
MUNDANE SKILLS
These do NOT require points. These are the average, daily things your character can do. Examples are "drive a car", "speak a normal Foreign Language", "play a guitar", "write poetry". Some mundane skills come from your bio and are freebie. A soldier knows very basic training (shoot a gun, basic drill). Medic, martial arts or sniper would be a Specialized Skill or Talent.
List Mundane skills here:
Rifle Marksmanship/guns
Melee combat
singing
playing a guitar/bass
Land Navigation
Speak English and Russian
SPECIALIZED SKILLS AND TALENTS
These are specialized skills that set you apart from the average person. You have 7 points to spend here. Examples are swordsmanship, sniper, coercion, piloting etc.
Ability 1 and Points Spent: Knife Fighting - 2
Ability 2 and Points Spent: Firearm Expertise -2
Ability 3 and Points Spent: Trap-laying & fortifying -1
Ability 4 and Points Spent: Explosives -2
OPTIONAL SUPERNATURAL CHARACTERISTICS
You have 7 points to spend here on supernatural skills or abilities. Sonic Scream, Levitation, Spell Casting, Shape Shifting etc. Superman MUST have his kryptonite, so Restrictions are what can't they do with their power or what balances it. They can only use it when they genuinely need it? They can't use it for more then five minutes without serious side-effects? Some things are allowed without points. A pegasus has wings thus it can fly. A raptor is fast thus no points are spent in speed. These "natural" abilities should be listed in the character's description, however.
Ability 1: Low-Light Vision
Power Level: 2
Strengths: When activated, it allows Audette to see her surroundings more easily. Light level can be raised, and objects are defined with accented silhouettes.
Weaknesses: Not practical in dense or cluttered areas, such as woods, or crowded streets - Audette needs a good, open area to easily spot a target. Further, it is a hindrance in bright areas, giving a blinding effect.
Restrictions: While her surroundings are outlined and defined, objects themselves are not clearly visible, meaning that similar looking targets or objects can confuse her.
Ability 2: Augmented Endurance
Power Level: 3
Strengths: Respiratory regulators and other implants improve Audette's endurance and pain resistance
Weaknesses: Audette may forget just how badly injured she can get, thanks to being able to shrug off more. Can lead to ignorance of something such as blood loss or a particularly nasty wound.
Restrictions: Something like getting shot or having a head injury will still hurt badly, and will probably have Audette stepping back from the fight.
MAGICAL OR SPECIAL ITEMS
List:
- OpFront/Icarus MI Security Dogtags
- AKS-74U w/five extra magazines
- Military-style Kukri knife
- Makarov Pistol
- Small Confederate Flag Bandana
BACKGROUND
Education or Training: Highschool education, Army (discharged), PMC
Character Background/Biography: Audette grew up in the American South, living on the Florida-Georgia line. Though she came from a well-off middle class family, the girl often found herself in trouble for fighting, gambling, cheating, and general disobedience. She was a tomboy and a rebel, and just couldn't get her act together as she grew up. She had no ambitions of college or a fancy career, which worried her family, although Audette did carry in interest in the military. Thinking it a good way to straighten her out, her family supported her in joining the Army.
Her attitude turned out to be too much, as always. Between gambling and blackmail, and fighting, Audette received a discharge from the military. Put down by it, she turned to drinking and spending her time with a group of shady sleazballs at a local bar, until she received the opportunity to take a job with an overseas organization that dealt with security and military contracts. She packed her bags and flew out to Eastern Europe for her new life as a PMC, working for a Torsiedellie company called "Icarus Military Industries."
In her new job, Audette was bored, working a security job at a prominent business in Stavropol. She made the fact known until she found herself reassigned to a unit that would go on to fight in Ukraine and Syria. During those years, as she aged, Audette gained experience as a warrior, a skill she works to refine constantly...when she isn't doing something immoral. At some point during her service, Audette was also given minor augmentations, the practice and technology becoming more common in Torsiedelle as military and medical technology advanced after the country's shift in direction in the wake of First Contact with various abhuman groups.
Following two jobs in Syria and one in Ukraine, Audette was assigned to security detail for a wealthy woman in Stavropol, to protect her daughter on her way back home, a job they said wasn't as safe as she would think. Thinking it the overreaction of an ignorant civilian, Audette went with the girl. On the way to their destination, however, the vehicle that they were on swerved and collided, the last thing she remembered before being knocked out.
OTHER GAME MECHANICS
URL to Apartment Picture: A simple, dirty bunker-room. A large locker holds ammunition, grenades, and equipment. Found throughout the room are various small items for entertainment, such as books, a yo-yo, guitars, and playing cards. A faded, patched-up Confederate battle flag hangs above the cot, while a Jolly Roger hangs in a corner near her supply locker. A radio & Record Player are slid into place near the door, and a small television sits on a shelf next to her cot.
Link to RP examples: But it's mmmeeeeee.
IMPORTANT:
One paragraph that sums up your character. This paragraph is what we'll use on your player tab on the first page of the thread. This MUST be brief. Your tab will contain a link to your application so people will have full details
Character Name: Audette Murphy
Brief Description: A sleazy, rough-around-the-edges security guard from the United States with a bad attitude and a passion for fighting. Employed by a Torsiedellie Security Company to guard a wealthy customer's daughter, she's now a lone gun-for-hire and adventurer who wants nothing more than to have fun or blow shit up.
Was going to originally make the character from a universe similar to Fallout, as a raider, but this new Bio seems a bit better, IMO. I'll have to improve it later, though. My writing is rusty.
Will get Torii moving tomorrow, I guess, first thing

There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man’s fears, and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination.

I've got five other characters to entertain, cater to, and make certain they adjust well to the genre, several unique sub-plotlines to mentally keep track of and configure to player actions throughout the whole thing, bucketloads of headcanon information to remember and tastefully impart, have been reworking this over and over for a period of months after you initially lost interest in the story and left NS without any guarantee of return, and am about 10 seconds from launching into it full-force.
No, I don't think I can squeeze you in. It would be very jarring to everything I have planned out and would likely add more characters than I can give a fair and equal amount of attention to. You literally returned the day I made the first post leading to the adventure, with everything already packed and planned. I really wish I could, given the circumstances and all, but I have to be realistic about what I as a player am capable of integrating on the spot. This isn't a good time for a reunion.
The best I can recommend is that Sterling try to ask around and get involved in what has already been established on Galli and have them reunite after they return.

Let me know if you need anything to launch them into Equestria. Would be good if done away from the main group, unless that doesn't fit with your plans. We'll state departure as "Demens thinks it's good for them to go so he doesn't get involved" to excuse away the current dimension travel barrier.
