Cloudfield Island is planned as a sustainable city. The incentives and facilities offered to the units in CLOUDFIELD ISLANDs for attracting investments into the CLOUDFIELD ISLANDs, including foreign investment include:-
• Duty free import/domestic procurement of goods for development, operation and maintenance of CLOUDFIELD ISLAND units
• 100% Income Tax exemption on export income for CLOUDFIELD ISLAND units for first 5 years, 50% for next 5 years thereafter and 50% of the ploughed back export profit for next 5 years.
• Exemption from minimum alternate tax.
• External commercial borrowing by CLOUDFIELD ISLAND unit’s up to US $ 500 million in a year without any maturity restriction through recognized banking channels.
• Exemption from Central Sales Tax.
• Exemption from Service Tax.
• Single window clearance for Central and State level approvals.
• Exemption from State sales tax and other levies as extended by the respective State Governments.
• To ensure freedom of ownership by exempting companies with CLOUDFIELD ISLAND Status from local ownership requirements.
• Tourism projects, including eco-tourism and agro-tourism projects, are eligible for tax incentives. These include hotel businesses, tourist projects including in-door and out-door theme parks, construction of holiday camps, recreational projects including recreational camps and construction of convention centres with a capacity to accommodate at least 3,000 participants.
• Companies undertaking waste recycling activities that are high value-added and use high technology are eligible for tax incentives. These activities which include the recycling of agricultural wastes or agricultural by-products, recycling of chemicals and the production of reconstituted wood-based panel boards or products are eligible for.
• Companies undertaking generation of energy using wind, tidal and solar power that are renewable and environmentally friendly are eligible for the following incentives: income tax exemption of 100% of statutory income for 10 years.
• A contract R&D company, i.e., a company that provides R&D services in CLOUDFIELD ISLAND to a company other than its related company, is eligible for: Pioneer Status with income tax exemption of 100% of the statutory income for five years.
• A company that undertakes in-house R&D to further its business can apply for an Income Tax Allowances of 50% of the qualifying capital expenditure incurred within 10 years.
• Companies Investing in New Testing Laboratories for Testing Medical Devices and investing in setting up new laboratories are eligible for the following incentives: Pioneer Status with income tax exemption of 100% of the statutory income for five years.
• New private higher education institutions (PHEIs) in the field of science and companies that establish technical or vocational training institution are eligible for an Investment Tax Allowance (ITA) of 100% for 10 years.
• Private Schools - Income tax exemption of 70% for a period of five years.
• International Schools - Income tax exemption of 70% for a period of five years.
• Buildings used for employees for the purpose of living accommodation in a manufacturing operation, an Approved Service Project, hotel or tourism business, are eligible for special Industrial Building Allowance of 10% of the expenditure incurred on the construction/purchase of the building for 10 years.
• Expenditure incurred for the construction/purchase of buildings for the purpose of providing child care facilities for employees are eligible for a special Industrial Building Allowance of 10% for 10 years.[

Cloudfield Expatriate Visa - CEV
Who qualifies?
Expatriates resident or working in Cloudfield Island Economic Zone

CEV validity:
The validity of CEV is two (2) years.

CEV-RP :
Expats living in Cloudfield Island Economic Zone for over four years and earning over NSD$144,000 per year may be eligible to apply for a CEV-Residence Pass which allows them to stay in Greythrone for up to ten years. Applicants have to possess specific skills which are in demand in Greythrone. The visa allows them to move from job to job and even their spouses are permitted to work.

CEV-RP validity:
The validity of CEV-RP is ten (10) years.

Riverfrost High Tech Park

The Riverfrost High Tech Park (RIVERHITEC), officially opened in 1996, is the first Hi-Tech Park in Greythrone. Currently, the development of RIVERHITEC covers an area of approximately 1,700 hectares (about 4,000 acres).

Pearlshield Creek Ways
Initially 8 blocks of office buildings were built by the developer. The Wolfdenn Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium located in Cloudfield Island, Winterarder, Greythrone. It is used mostly for football matches but also has facilities for athletics. The stadium is the home of Wolfdenn Planet FC, and has a capacity of 20,412. Constructed with the latest technology, it is now a popular venue for world class sport events. The stadium was designed by a well known Greythrone Architect, Bernard Leadendrift & Associated.

Timberstrand O&G Port

TheTimberstrand O&G Port - TOGP will receive, store and export crude oil as well as receive, process, compress and transport the gas produced from the nearby fields. Covering an area of about 250 acres, the TOGP will have the capacity to handle up to 300,000 barrels of crude oil per day and 1.0 billion standard cubic feet of gas per day. The crude oil and condensate received and stored at the terminal will be loaded into vessels for export through single point moorings located about 10km offshore Bouldermouth Shore.

In TOGP Zone II, oil refining facilities will add value to imported crude oil via the Timberstrand O&G Port. New high-value, high-demand products and by-products, such as polymers, pharmaceutical products and plastics, will be created from the refined feedstock. In creating these products, Timberstrand O&G Port will be able to generate greater value and investments from its oil and gas sector.

Dr Roosevelt Cameron is CEO for CIDCORP. He is responsible for driving growth and customer success for the Operation and Commercial organization.

Dr Cameron has been at CIDCORP since its inception in 1999, and has served in various leadership roles from Business Development to Sales. He is widely credited for growing the sales organization into one of the most respected teams in the industry today.

Dr Cameron began his career at Brighton Investment where he spent seven years in leadership roles across a variety of divisions, including Finance, Operations, Alliances and Sales. After Brighton, he worked at GreyFoods Corporation where he was responsible for running the marketing team. Dr Cameron received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of State Union, Greythrone, in 1991.

Carolina Rothschild
Chief Operation Officer
Carolina Rothschild is Chief Operation Officer. Prior to joining CIDCORP in 2011, Carolina Rothchild was senior vice president for human resources at Rotax Inc, where she led a global human resources team that supported more than 70,000 employees worldwide. Previous to this position, she was vice president of human resources for Umbrisa’s Global R&D organization. From 1985 to 2001, Carolina Rothchild worked at the EagleTown Company, a specialty chemical company acquired by GreyUnion Chemical in 2009. While at EagleTown Company, she spent eight years in human resources and organizational effectiveness and eight years as a research scientist in the polymers division.

Carolina Rothchild holds a doctorate in human and organizational development from Kapleham Graduate Institute

Theodora Conwyn
Chief Finance Officer
Ms. Conwyn joined CIDCORP in 2012 and served in a number of roles within the CIDCORP, including Head of the Financial Services Corporate and Investment Banking Group.

She was named Executive Vice-President Finance and Treasurer of the CIDCORP in 2013 and served as Executive Vice-President and Chief Risk Officer from March 2013 until March 2014, when she was appointed Chief Financial Officer. In this role, she is responsible for financial governance and reporting, treasury and capital management, corporate development, investor relations, taxation and corporate communications across the CIDCORP group of companies.

Dr. Zacharias Renaud
Chief Technology Officer
Dr. Zacharias Renaudis President-Technology at CIDCORP. He leads a globally distributed and diverse team of technologists responsible for creating all of the company’s innovative products.

Dr. Renaud joined CIDCORP in 2012 and brings more than 20 years of product development experience in enterprise software including leading the development of ERP, CRM, e-commerce and industry-specific applications.

Prior to CIDCORP, Dr. Renaud held multiple roles at Fillerham Technologies leading the development of many of core enterprise applications and integration of technology from numerous acquisitions.

Ernest Selfridges
Chief Investment Officer
Ernest Selfridges joined the company in 1999 as an attorney. In 2011, he moved to the business side and has had increasing executive level responsibility for a variety of product line and operational areas including disability income, life underwriting, policyowner services and information systems.

Ernest Selfridges received a bachelor’s degree with honors in 1979 from the University of South Geybridge and a law degree with honors in 1982 from Sellerfork University. He also completed an executive development program at the Marton Business School at Sellerfork University in 1997.
