How large is the faction in numbers:
Including military and civilian the total population reaches very high levels. However, most military forces are engaged in bloody warfare against the Shadow Race.
Short description of Tech level:
I think you saw a taste of their tech when I posted the flying boomer whales. Their tech is highly advanced building on designs left by the former United Species. Many are still in the makes, but many are completed and ready for use. They're mostly civilian and that excludes hybrid ones.
Short history of the faction:
I could make a wiki for this. Really short version.

After the United Species and many other major groups fell the Universe(not a galaxy) went into chaos. Time went on and these factions faded into lengends. Relics could still be found though and some remembered them. However, things changed when the Shadow Race freed the banshees and started a massive genocide. Their first target was to rid of the Emperica Tierras and when they invaded their planet(earth) they crushed any resistance. The Tierras and the other races got out of there and found the deserted Birthworld of Tierra. There they settled. After a 120 years they joined forces with a few former United Species members and fought against the Shadows driving them out. As they regrew new races joined them and they stumbled across ruins. Using the data they built weapons of warfare against the Shadows. Three Darkness Banshees along with many defectors are fighting along side the United Species. Currently they are waging warfare against the Shadow Race which outnumber and outmatch the reformed United Species.

Many like the Crimson, Ancient Tierras, Centurions, Outlanders, the Spidermen, Endless, Emperica Tierras, Light Forms, and various others.
Weaknesses- While they have large numbers and their tech is highly advanced they are engaged in warfare against not only the Shadows, but also against numerous factions. The Void Creatures and Lords are also trying to wipe them out putting further strain on them. They can only spare so much for the fight against the chaos being.
Because of the war their resources have also taken a hit as well. So things like rations and water are in short supply.
Happiness isn't the greatest either.

well, it really isnt mind controll, not fully at least, it's more like the reapers planting suggestions into their minds and subtly having them choose that decision. The longer someone is near them, the greater the chance of introdoctination. Or something like that, i dont know a lot about indoctrination, only the very basics, and even then i havn't heard the indoctrination facts in a long time, so look it up, i'll look it up tomorrow, im on my DS.

Much happened. Mostly universe swaps. We're currently in Mass Effect.

Alright, here is my good old Steve and a newcomer faction. I planned to post it, but I had to leave it in a draft.

Superhuman Strength - Steve is shown to be able to carry around at least 40,000 tons in his backpack with no problems, though this does not increase his other physical capabilities.
Superhuman Stamina - Steve can run for indefinite amounts of time, as long as he is provided with sufficient food.
Regeneration - Steve can regenerate damage and wounds if he is satiated with food.
Alchemy and Crafting Knowledge - Steve is an experienced smith, alchemist, builder and miner.
World Manipulation - Steve has a limited amount of control on the world he's in through the use of command magic - a long forgotten field of magic rediscovered by Steve himself. He can use this to:
- turn to Creative Mode
- manipulate the laws of the world (like stopping fire spread, stopping the day-night cycle, etc.)
- control the weather - stopping or starting rain, changing time to day or night
- telepathy
- summon any animal or creature (the creature cannot be controlled)
- teleport to a certain place or to a certain person
- create any kind of weapon he wants
Creative Mode - Steve's ultimate form. In this mode, Steve is almost completely invincible(he can only die due to lack of oxygen), can fly and has infinite resources and weaponry.

Equipment (If any):

Enchanted Diamond Sword - Steve's primary melee weapon and is extremely powerful. Enchanted with great power, this weapon is strong enough to easily slash through Steve's enemies, killing off normal humans in just two hits. The Fire aspect enchantment makes the sword set anyone that it touches on fire, and the Knockback enchantment grants it airbending abilities to push away enemies.
Enchanted Bow - Steve's primary ranged weapon. Enchanted as well, it can shoot arrows strong enough to punch through the human body like paper. And if that's not enough, it has a two other helpful enchantments: Flame ench. allows Steve to shoot deadly fire arrows, and the Infinity ench. gives him an infinite supply of ammunition.
Enchanted Diamond Armor - Steve's main defense. It consists of a helmet, a chestplate, pair of leggings and boots, each piece enchanted to be much stronger than normal armor. It is strong enough to withstand arrows, bullets, fireballs and explosions. It also has a few specific enchantments: Feather Falling on the boots allows him to land high falls without damage, Respiration and Aqua Affinity on the helmet improve his underwater vision and extends underwater breathing time, and a set of thorns on his chestplate are used to deal damage to attackers.
Enchanted Diamond Tools - Steve has a shovel, a pickaxe, an axe and a hoe. Each one are enchanted to work faster than normal.
TNT - Steve carries around a few metric tons of TNT, packed in 1m x 1m x 1m blocks, as well as a pair of flint and steel to light them.
Crafting Kit - Steve carries around a Crafting Table and a few blocks of wood, iron, diamond and other useful materials, just in case.
Ender Pearls - To teleport quickly, Steve has a stack of 16 Ender pearls, which can be used to teleport short distances by throwing them. Where the pearl lands, there Steve teleports.
Potions - Steve has a few potions at his disposal - a potion to heal himself, a potion to increase his strength and a throwable poison potion, which can be used to harm others.
Lava Bucket - Steve has a bucket of lava, which he can spill on the ground to burn his enemies.
Informative Tools - Steve has a compass and a clock to navigate.
Food - Steve has two types of food in his disposal: steaks and golden apples. Both restore his hunger, and golden apples give him good status effects, like regeneration and resistance to various types of damage for a few minutes.
Backpack - Steve holds all of his equipment in his backpack. It doesn't have infinite space, but it has almost 30,000 cubic meters of space. How? Magic.

Short backstory: Since the common theorized story of Minecraft is that Steve is trying to save the world and Testificates from the Endermen army and their leader the Dragon, it can be based on that Steve is caring and brave. However; since its personality is based on the player, it's up to him to decide what it does and how it acts. Is Steve going to risk everything for the Testificates, is it going to procrastinate and save the world later, is it going to be a morally ambigious anti hero who constantly steals from the Testificates and makes it rather unclear whether it's doing it for the greater good or just its own selfish gain, or is it not even going to be the slightest bit heroic and just run around mindlessly killing animals and testificates not even trying to save the world? Another factor is what mode you pick, if you pick Hardcore mode and fail that ultimately means that Steve failed its quest to save the world and that the Ender-Dragon succeeds in whatever his goal was, however; if you chose survival mode and died you simply come back without your tools.
Weaknesses: Weapons and armor can break after a long time of usage. Limited strength with no equipment. Command magic takes time to be used. I don't want to use Creative, so it takes away a lot of his potential.

Short description of Tech level: Most members do not use equipment or technology. Some like zombies or skeletons can use swords or bows they pick up.
Short history of the faction: A long time ago, the humans in the Overworld and the Endermen in the End lived in peace, not knowing about each other. That was until the Endermen discovered a portal, hidden deep within the End, to the Overworld. At first, the both factions were interacting well, but, like always, an accident happened. A single event sparked a war between the two dimensions.

At first, the humans, being more advanced and numerous, pushed back the Endermen, though the battles were indecisive. However, the leader of the End, the Ender Dragon, found a new strategy. They invited other races that disliked humans to the group and started organizing a striking force, the Ender Army. It saw major victories near immediately. The humans did not expect such an organized force to attack them. And then, the leader of the humans, Herobrine, decided to end the war.

He went to the End and challenged the Dragon. He wanted a duel. The obe who loses will have to give up. However, the Ender Dragon came up with a plan. Ge offered Herobrine a commander status and great power if he joined the Ender Army. When he declined, the Dragon sent the armies against him. Herobrine was defeated and resurrected as a slave to the Army.

Without their leader, the humans were easily crushed in the Battle of NPC Village, slaughtered and turned into zombies. The remaining humans were made slaves, called the Testificates, and forced to work under the Ender Army, unti one human started a rebellion. It was Steve, and he was defeating the Ender forces easily. The world now remains in a struggle, but with Steve mysteriously gone, it looks like the Ender is starting to take the lead.

Many.
Zombies: Dead humans resurrected by the Ender Dragon, and are the front-line soldiers of the Ender Army. Quite slow and a bit weak, but attack in large groups. Can sometimes wear armor and can pick up melee weapons to fight with.
Skeletons: The primary ranged soldiers of the Ender Army. Always carry around a bow, which they are quite good at. Can pick up melee weapons and use them to fight.
Creepers: Creepers are quadrupedal plant-like creatures with a gruesome face. Their primary ability is their capability to explode. Each creeper has large sockets of natural gunpowder inside them, which they can use to blow up.
Spiders: The quick-footed front soldiers of the Ender Army. They are very fast, can jump high and can climb up walls, like real spiders, though these are dog-sized. Sometimes a Skeleton can ride a Spider, creating a Spider Jocjey, basically cavalry.
Cave Spiders: Similar to Spiders, these are smaller, can walk through cobwebs and poison their enemies. Skeletons cannot ride them.
Zombie Pigmen: Native to the depths of the Nether, these are dead pigmen resurrected to serve under the Ender Army. They are much stronger and faster than normal zombies, and carry a golden sword, as well as attack in packs.
Wither Skeletons: Wither Skeletons are the melee version of the Skeleton. They carry a stone sword, are taller, black and put the Wither effect onto their enemies, which makes them pretty much wither away.
Blazes: Blazes are the guards of the Nether Strongholds. They are fiery creatures, made from Blaze Rods connected with magic. Blazes shoot fireballs at their enemies, as well as glide in the air.
Ghasts: Ghasts are ghost-like flying creatures with tentacles, and are the main air support of the Ender Army. Though they are weak, they shoot deadly explosive fireballs.
Slimes and Magma Cubes: They are cuboid creatures made of slime of magma, and split apart to surround their enemies.
Endermen: Endermen are tall, black, slender creatures, native inhabitants of the End and are the heavy-hitters of the army. They can teleport, dodge projectiles, build structures like humans and they strike very hard, though they are not numerous.
Leaders of the Ender Army:
Ender Dragon: The supreme commander of the Ender Army. Basically a large black dragon. Can go through and destroy any substance except for living creatures, obsidian, lead and End Stone.
Wither: Second commander of the Ender Army and leader of the Nether creatures (Wither Skeletons, Zombie Pigmen, Blazes, Ghasts and Magma Cubes). The Wither is a three-headed flying creature that shoots explosive Wither Skulls, which also put on the Wither effect.
Herobrine: Once the leader of the humans, he tried to challenge the Ender Dragon, but was tricked and turned into an evil creature. Herobrine looks just like Steve, but has completely white glowing eyes, with no pupils. He posseses the same level of abilities as Steve and the same equipment, though he can fly as well.

Skeletons: The primary ranged soldiers of the Ender Army. Always carry around a bow, which they are quite good at. Can pick up melee weapons and use them to fight.
Creepers: Creepers are quadrupedal plant-like creatures with a gruesome face. Their primary ability is their capability to explode. Each creeper has large sockets of natural gunpowder inside them, which they can use to blow up.
Spiders: The quick-footed front soldiers of the Ender Army. They are very fast, can jump high and can climb up walls, like real spiders, though these are dog-sized. Sometimes a Skeleton can ride a Spider, creating a Spider Jocjey, basically cavalry.
Cave Spiders: Similar to Spiders, these are smaller, can walk through cobwebs and poison their enemies. Skeletons cannot ride them.
Zombie Pigmen: Native to the depths of the Nether, these are dead pigmen resurrected to serve under the Ender Army. They are much stronger and faster than normal zombies, and carry a golden sword, as well as attack in packs.
Wither Skeletons: Wither Skeletons are the melee version of the Skeleton. They carry a stone sword, are taller, black and put the Wither effect onto their enemies, which makes them pretty much wither away.
Blazes: Blazes are the guards of the Nether Strongholds. They are fiery creatures, made from Blaze Rods connected with magic. Blazes shoot fireballs at their enemies, as well as glide in the air.
Ghasts: Ghasts are ghost-like flying creatures with tentacles, and are the main air support of the Ender Army. Though they are weak, they shoot deadly explosive fireballs.
Slimes and Magma Cubes: They are cuboid creatures made of slime of magma, and split apart to surround their enemies.
Endermen: Endermen are tall, black, slender creatures, native inhabitants of the End and are the heavy-hitters of the army. They can teleport, dodge projectiles, build structures like humans and they strike very hard, though they are not numerous.
Leaders of the Ender Army:
Ender Dragon: The supreme commander of the Ender Army. Basically a large black dragon. Can go through and destroy any substance except for living creatures, obsidian, lead and End Stone.
Wither: Second commander of the Ender Army and leader of the Nether creatures (Wither Skeletons, Zombie Pigmen, Blazes, Ghasts and Magma Cubes). The Wither is a three-headed flying creature that shoots explosive Wither Skulls, which also put on the Wither effect.
Herobrine: Once the leader of the humans, he tried to challenge the Ender Dragon, but was tricked and turned into an evil creature. Herobrine looks just like Steve, but has completely white glowing eyes, with no pupils. He posseses the same level of abilities as Steve and the same equipment, though he can fly as well.

In seriousness, I know a lot about Minecraft and what people there can do. Other things I wanted to take, like DBZ and stuff, were taken.
BTW I plan to add OreSpawn stuff to Steve someday in the future.
