He decided to remain single for the rest of his life as he does not want to have to deal with children. He hopes that when he retires he will have found a lawyer who will take over Pace Firm of Law. He plans to hire more lawyers so he has more lawyers to chose from when he retires. He saw a spirit, a spirit of a judge in school who told him to become a lawyer that is why he is a lawyer.

He is moving to Bielefeld because an internal sense told him to. It said to him, "You have much to learn! Everything is not what it seems. Move to Bielefeld to learn the truth of life."

That's right. Adventures! Adventures with a colorful cast of characters! Including, but not limited to: a godchild, several child soldiers, a detective vampire, a Klingon, a telepathically sound cat, incarnations of the seven deadly sins, raptors, space marines, a girl with more control over plants than her own sense of clothes, ponies, good ol' fashioned nation personifications, an alien or two, H.P. Lovecraft inspired beings, time cops, and a few mutated humans. It's non-stop story telling in here with plenty of people to get acquainted with! Pop in some time, it can be fun around here!

Character Weaknesses/Flaws: Fairly brash and aggressive. His weapons requires weekly recharge, and the Heat Blade is useless agains super heat-resistant material.

Character Background/Biography: Born in the year 2525, August Hansen was born in a dystopian post-apocalyptic world, after many nuclear and normal wars on Earth blew away 98% of Earth's population. The survivors, at August's time, were fighting, long, bloody wars against a new generation of cyborgs, sent by an unknown person/organization to enslave humanity.
August was humanity's last hope. Trained from the moment he could crawl, he far exceeded his guardians' - the Human Resistance - expectations. At the age of 20, though, his teachers and guardians, along with everything he knew and loved, were lost in a fearsome skirmish with the cyborg armies. Filled with rage and hatred, he took the leading role of the remaining humans and led them to a last stand against the cyborg enslavers. It was unsuccessful, to say the least. August's armies were decimated, and he himself was captured. However, out of nowhere, a lone human arrived to save the day, and rescued August.
This is where it gets crazy.
The savior was none other than August himself from an another timeline. In that timeline, August, instead of rushing into battle, took his guardians' time machine and travelled to the past to stop the cyborg threat from actually happening. Though the world was saved, August felt that it wasn't enough. He travelled to our August's timeline, to tell him how he should act.
And thus, August went back in time, to [Setting Time], to prevent the catastrophes of the future.

August's weapon of choice is the prototype Heat Blade, a single-edged katana that, to the eyes of a normal person, looks just like a normal katana, but it has a special and unique ability. It's inside holds two caliphornium heat generators, which, if turned on, heat up the blade (made out of super heat-resistant materials) to over 3000 degrees Celsius, cutting through pretty much anything with ease. Heat Blade's handle also has a small, but really powerful magnet, with which August can throw his weapon like a boomerang and control it's trajectory.
August also has a powerful phased helium plasma rifle, a teleportation device, a short battle knife for secondary use, a few Compression Capsules carrying some important items, and, if he needs to blow something up, he always carries around two Antimatter Grenades, each one with a 5 second fuse and armed with 5 mg of antiuranium.

Why the character is in Bielefeld/Occupation: While searching for the one who started everything in the future, August works as a teacher in a local school, though tries to interact with anyone as less as possible to not change anything.

We'll need to fiddle with the time. We have characters that are from the future and past, and so the Bielefeld Timeline is never the direct timeline characters come from. In other words, he had a glitch when he used his machine and, instead of going directly back in time, something (OP-controlled) caused him to shift to an alternate dimension. The reason for this is that the Bielefeld Timeline is mapped out by the OP himself and we have a future story that takes characters forward in time.

If you want to play a character who has been here "since the beginning", you'll need to know a bit of history. That's why I suggest that new players create characters that are also brand new to the area.
