Character Physical Description (height, weight, apparent age, actual age): Sanjay is a 19 year old and looks it. He's around 170 cm and 68 kilos. He's a relatively fair-skinned Indian, being an ethnic Gujarati. He normally wears Western style T-shirts and jeans, his T-shirts often about the Beatles.

Character Unique Skills(if any): Gifted with language, Sanjay can speak fluent English, Hindi, Gujarati, Swahili and French as his most fluent. He can pick up new languages with a fair bit of ease. He's also very good with musical instruments, able to play the guitar, sitar and piano.

Character Powers (if any): Language fluency (1): Though he's unaware of this, Sanjay can pick up languages at such a quick rate because of a mild power that he has. After a few short conversations or hearing them, Sanjay can begin speaking a language basically. After a day or so, he can virtually speak like a native.

Healing (7): Something which was a surprise to him, Sanjay can heal from almost any wound very quickly, and he can help heal other people as well, as long as he maintains skin on skin contact. This also keeps him from being tired.

Character Weaknesses/Flaws: Sanjay can be a bit cowardly, since his life has been about survival and the like, but he can be brave for people he truly cares for. He's also from a different time and place, and as a result can be racist, homophobic and sexist at times (since 1970s Uganda wasn't exactly the most progressive place). He also has shit social skills, and thus can often speak his mind frankly and bluntly without knowing the offence that can be caused on some occasions while being shy and awkward in other situations.

Character Background/Biography: Sanjay was born in Uganda in 1955 to Gujarati merchant parents, both of whom also had been born in Uganda. He had lived fairly happily thereh, mainly spending his time with other people in the sizeable Indian Ugandan community and generally getting by despite the high levels of unrest and crime that happened in the country. He tried to remain blissfully unaware of politics, and this usually worked for his family until 1972.

Suddenly, his whole life changed. When the President ordered the Asians to leave their home country, Sanjay's family didn't want to believe it. But they had no choice when the military barged into their homes and confiscated all their belongings, including his father's wealth and store. In this seizing, Sanjay was accidentally shot in the arm by a bullet. Later on, when the soldiers left, he showed his family his arm- now fully repaired, to their amazement.

Since his parents held British citizenship, Sanjay's family was taken abroad to England, but their life was different now. While they spent much more time praying at the mandir, they had more fights at home as his father took on a degrading factory job, a far fall from his old wealth and respect in the community.

As for Sanjay, one day a man called Mr. Crowley appeared at his door, informing his family that he knew of Sanjay's talent and that he had a school for him. So in 1973, Sanjay went to attend Elfen High to better learn his powers.

But one day he was busy exploring the school and came upon a swirling portal of light. Curious, he walked through and found himself in a new world, not sure how the hell he got here. But let's see how things go now...

Why the character in Bielefeld/Occupation: He found a portal and walked through. He's beginning to regret it.

They do. Therapeutics, we are starting over Microbiology and misc. Infectious diseases. My strong point in this field, then after that (next week) we are going into Oncology and GI system (another strong).
