There's no need for the struck-out clause now, if there ever was. Doesn't matter what species they are, you're writing for all member nations. The second alteration is for consistency.

Your Excellency, if member nations are willing to include those, then they are free to do so, but we're afraid those are not the provisions by which this particular proposal addresses, it would be implied by the resolution On Abortion.
7. INSISTS that all member nations retain the ability to legalize abortion for purposes not covered under the preceding clauses either unilaterally within their own jurisdiction or collectively through World Assembly resolution.

No because it's already required throough a resolution and I'm not dealing with that stopping my bill from passing.

The Resolution on Abortion allows countries to decide the legality of abortion so I can not require countries to allow it.

You could, but seeing that you didn't want to take a lot of heat, we recommended against it. If you can justify it in a way that won't get it repealed easily, then you could include it. This is a good sample of achieving your results, though, it does still need some more refinement, as noted by the authors.

Yes. Leave this to sit for three months without touching it at all meanwhile. Then bring it back up, and you'll get all new ideas and suggestions. If you hurry to submit it when it's clearly just half-a-blog, half-a-utopic-dream, you'll get trounced by the conservative religious folks and the critical progressive folks.

It. Is. Not. Ready. For. Submission.

Seriously, don't be in a hurry with it.

I don't understand if you leave things to sit for three months it will be helpful. Would be in my best interest to submit this now and when it fails take a suggestions brought into the bill and re submit it fixing the problems with it.

[DRAFT] Family Planning Act

Postby Melungea » Thu Aug 15, 2013 3:19 pm

These two clauses conflict.

AGREEING that a person has a right to choose regardless of their race, economic situation, gender, or age.

DESIRING for people make educated decisions by requiring investment in family planning services.

If a person has a right to choose, then they cannot be required to invest in family planning services. If you intend for member nations and not individuals to invest in family planning services, this should be clarified.

This is an unfinished act which would be shot down long before it ever got to the vote stage. And you have the nerve to imply that it was stolen? The regulars on this forum are not idiots and you can wave that banner all you want. Not much heed will be taken of it. If anything it may cast poor light on yourself. Be warned.

Furthermore I see its been submitted now.

You should note I count at least 3 grammatical errors, two sections of completely disjointed text and for shits and giggles I'm throwing in a partridge in a pear tree.

There are delegates out there who will approve two drunks having a pissing contest. This won't get to vote and even if it does the errors I've spotted that you either haven't or are choosing to ignore will be the reason it fails. And with your current attitude deservedly so dear ambassador.

But can you force that upon governments. At some point you need to draw a line in the sand as to what is reasonable and what is not. Don't you agree?

Exactly my point:

We must prevent promtion of the rape of children and this two interest nonsense as applied in law. (the two being of almost identical moral standing)

B. Pre-Conception Counseling and Management

C. Infertility Management

2. Accessibility and Availability of Contraception

3. Adoption Services

5. Sex Education

Are these not issues that can be more efficiently handled on the national level? If a certain nation does not have a need for these services, why must it be forced to allocate funds to it? For example, as a tribal (Do not interpret as "pre-industrial") society, Tenebriso has no concept of "orphan" or "foster child".

There are loopholes there in place so if this situation occurs. It says you have to put some funding in not how much. If you put a tenth of 1 cent into orphanages in your health budget your still in compliance. As for family planning services does your nation require then if not just fund them to the bare minimum of your currency.
