Well, when the game first started, I hurried up and occupied one of their teritories, and by the tome they reached me, they were already at war with too many other people to really take the time demanding shit from me, so they just accepted a concession of defeat from me.

Since then, every time they go to war with me, I just offer to concede defeat, and they happily accept, as they're dealing with massive rebellions and wars in the west. They simply can't afford going to war with another country. The biggest threat is currently Chatgai, who's being an ass.

Do you have enough troops to hold any of Chagatai's territory or is it a similar concession war with them?

Chatgai only has 9,000 troops, and I have 4,000. I could beat them if I really tried, and take an enclave that they own that's been sitting by my territory for a decade or so now. The only problem is that every time they go to war with me, I'm always too busy with something else to effectively deal with them at that moment, like the fucking Punjab nationalists that keep popping up in the south.

I'm slowly working on converting all of my conquered territory, but it's a major drain on my economy, and I can barely keep myself from going bankrupt. My research isn't going very well either, and it's still gong to be a while before I get a national bank to reduce my ridiculously high inflation.

My only real advantage over the other nations around me is that my slider start all the way over to quantity, and my offensive slider is also very high, so I'm able to occupie povences rather easily, and I can fight armies bigger than mine rather effectively.

The UK is a titan. It's difficult enough intentionally trying to break them. I recently rage quit a PoD Netherlands game when the UK requested I give them my African port in exchange for the UK reducing its influence in Asia. I said "Lololololo no thanks UK, I need that port to refuel my ships."

A few days later the British ambassador returned announcing the UK has declared war to seize that colony from me. I tried to hold them off but the pesky Brits kept ravaging my lands, adding more war goals, until I couldn't take it and quit. *cries*

Ouch. That vaguely reminds me of how I ragequit whenever I try to play CK2. Every asshole and their mother wants something in that game . . .

I'll start an Ottoman Empire game tonight. I did have a successful one in progress, pushing into Europe from the start instead of the usual Asia and Africa, but I feel like starting a new one aggressively expanding into Asia first, with Africa as a second priority. Then once I make the Empire into a proletarian dictatorship, I'll have tasty enough CB generation bonuses to take the coasts of all of Europe, creating an inverse Roman Empire.

Magna Mundi EU3 was the easy days. V2 with APD/PDM/PoD is so hellishly difficult. :/

Playing as America is quite fun in Vicky 2 with the PoD crew. America is the only country I can feel reliably feel comfortable with in all aspects of the game. I recommend it. It's incredibly fun to break down and ultimately annex Mexico.
