I dunno. There's too many I want to visit, as I've only been to three or four in my life, and even then, most I didn't really spend time in.

nations i want to visit? there are lots of them. japan, nepal, new zealand, switzerland, all the nations of gt britain, and pretty much any place that has trains, mountains, trees, and isn't hated by the people who live there.
truth isn't what i say. isn't what you say. isn't what anybody says. truth is what is there, when no one is saying anything.

Within the US: Oregon again, (northern) California, Kentucky (to meet a relative)
Want to visit: Iceland, Japan, Croatia, Norway, Costa Rica, Canada (not really foreign to me), Argentina
Might be iffy: Morocco, Oman, Indonesia
Currently in a political struggle: Egypt, Greece

As it stands, I have been to several US states and no other countries unfortunately.

What would things have been like if every security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive? Or if during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand? The Organs would quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin's thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt!

Going there in August. Pumped as hell.

Once that is over, probably Japan or South Korea.

Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Israel (for religious and historical reasons), Tanzania (for the Ngorongoro Crater and the Olduvai Gorge), and Iran/ Persia (I would love to visit Isfahan, Shiraz, and the ruins of Persepolis if there is ever a regime change).

BTW, those of you who were interesting and well-versed in geography enough to mention the Baltics, let me just say that it's quite enough to see Vilnius, Trakai, Riga, Parnu and Tallinn and then leave.

Besides those places, there's not much to do here unless you like lakes. Lots of lakes.

Ah, the countryside is what I like the most about visiting places. I live in an intensely urbanized area, so in the Baltics I'd be wandering around going "Wow! Lakes! Forests! Fresh air! Incredible!"

Friend of mine just got back from 3 weeks in South Africa, she loved it, and now I am curious about there as well.
