Albert ordered some food he wanted, a ham sandwich with cheese, and waited for Ray to decide. Jacob began eating the food he had already ordered, which was chicken soup.

Ray ordered a gourmet cheeseburger that he had found on the menu, alongside a bottle of some local Coke variant and french fries. "I have semi-simplistic desires," he giggled to Albert after the waiter left.

Albert shrugged. "Sometimes simple things are the best things...." He smiled at Ray as he said that.

Bran shrugged and waited for Torii's indication to leave Yuktograd. He was eager to get out of the city and into Torsiedelle, a close ally of his home nation.

"So . . ."

After graciously accepting her upgraded Nanosuit from Edge, Kei set about trying it out. The new abilities really only made her somewhat stronger, and nothing about her physically changed, since her human form, or whatever form she took, was usually always a facade. She knocked on Lucius' door to ask some details, and if Tieria could join them.

Anything you have on hand or could create yourself that would fit the description and be the size of a small electronic device?"

Volturius asked the small insect, which to him was more or less the size of an insect, the wasp-like creature only came up to his hip. Thankfully the bug was by Tipper, and thus at an angle he didn't have to twist his neck to look at.

"Yes. I can build something easily that would do the job. I'll have it ready within a day, possibly with some additional features I can think of. I'll just scavenge a sonic sensor from a droid and re-purpose it for something to fit on her forearm. Possibly with a heating device for additional information."

Pryfyn nashed his mandibles violently when speaking, basic was a hard language for an insectoid to speak, let alone one that had three jaws effectively. But the words rolled out fine.

"Price will be set upon completion, depending upon time and parts used. Come back within five hours or so and it should be done. First I'll have to finish up this droid for the bar."

The Colicoid then shooed Volturius and Tipper out the door, not giving an apparent damn that he was quickly shoving out a frightfully large astartes- he'd seen more intimidating creatures before, and there was work to be done.

Tipper giggled as her feet met the sidewalk pavement. "Oh, I like him! He's quirky."

The sunshine felt good on her exposed arms and face and she breathed in the city smells. "Well, five hours is a long time. What shall we do to pass it? Did you want to find a weapon for hunting? Perhaps there's a weapon manufactorum here? Would they also carry armor?"

"Not that I know of. Also, the armor I had in mind was, exotic. Xenos made. Something lighter than normal ceramite, possibly weaker, but just easier to get into as apposed to mine. While it's likely some of the strongest armor in existence, like all Astartes power armor- it takes an annoying amount of time to dress."

"Anyone you know of that has knowledge of the area?"
"Quod Vult, Valde Valt"

Excuse me, sir. Seeing as how the V.P. is such a V.I.P., shouldn't we keep the P.C. on the Q.T.? 'Cause if it leaks to the V.C. he could end up M.I.A., and then we'd all be put out in K.P.

It was at that precise moment that a familiar cog boy stepped out of a book shop across the street. He was holding a novel published by something called The Black Library and his eyes were glued to the pages as he walked.

Tipper, being blind, couldn't see him.

"The rebellions weren't human. While they had humans in them, you had your aliens thrown in for good measure, if not completely. While they're enemies of the Empire all the same, the difference is that the Vong were a galactic invasion. Those fuckers came in with the intention to enslave, kill, and rape every inhabitant of the galaxy, typically in that order. We put the fuckers down, hard. It felt good, the losses were worth it, and we were heroes worshiped by the public- which is a rare experience for a Clone. Typically our existence is barely acknowledge, with our roles being 'average'. It felt real good. Then of course you're back to the grinder."

"Anyone you know of that has knowledge of the area?"

It was at that precise moment that a familiar cog boy stepped out of a book shop across the street. He was holding a novel published by something called The Black Library and his eyes were glued to the pages as he walked.

Tipper, being blind, couldn't see him.

Volturius waved over the Cog Boy, or to put it more accurately, grabbed him by the shoulder and dragged the man over to face Volturius and Tipper.

"Is there a Manufactorum shop somewhere around here?"

To his surprised, he found Swith on the floor.* "Hey, Sweetness, why are you on the floor? Did you roll off the couch again? No wait, you fell asleep on the floor, but why? Also, why do you have a red mark on the side of your face?"
_____
"Can't remember really, was busy running from damn tentacles to realize or remember the layout of the area."

The red mark faded away... she was more indestructible than her daughter. Unfortunately, the light hickies on Thriller's belly would take more time to heal. She rolled backwards, laughing. "You smacked me in your sleep because I was chewing on you," she giggled between breaths.

"There are tentacles?" Blythe's eyes widened. "Anything else we should know about?"

"Other than Death is certain so use your brains?" Xanthe advised her.

"Volturius?" Drastus' smile sprang into life and he grabbed the Chaos Space Marine's wrists. "Volturius! HA! Look at that!"

He turned his head to view Tipper, but she'd already recognized his voice and was reaching out for him. He held out a hand to clasp her own. "Hey there, Tipper. Good to see you!"

His smile widened. "Manufactrum? Yes, depending on what you need. We're all up at the observatory. To be precise, we're under it. How've you been? You and Tip just vanished one day. We thought you'd been eaten by Nids."

"Hello, buddy." Drova's sly voice sounded from the other side of the hallway as he passed, smirking at his enemy.

"How're things these days? Still killing off your own people?"

AETEN II wrote:"The rebellions weren't human.

"And no, I'm not clear. I found a new galaxy by random teleportation. Now there's a squadron in orbit, a Star Destroyer over the bay, and inbound expansion into the galaxy. So no, you can't really get out of it. You have to rise up the ladder in order for any 'escape'."

"So what does it take to rise up the ladder?"
