Currency? Oh no, no, we got rid of that years and years ago. When was it darling? What year? 1266 or so? Yes, yes, sometime around then. Anyway, back then the predominant federation of unions voted on removing money altogether, replacing it entirely with government-issued script -- handed out to everyone's need, you see. And ever since then we've been sticking with it. I think the official name's something daft sounding, like: "Ethically Transmitted Hand-Out Script", but everyone just calls it "Ethos". Mm. A good system, but a touch bureaucratic at times.

The unit of currency in the Republic of Krytak is the KRYA. There are several denominations in circulation, in both coin and bill form.

The coins are minted in values of 1, 5, 10, 25, 50 cents, and 1 Krya. The coins are different shapes, and colors as shown, to help quickly identify the value of the coin at a glance. The coins have the following layout:

The larger unit of currency, the Krya, is made up of denominations of 1, 5, 10, 20, 50, and 100 Kryas. Each note has a different color than the others, and of a gradient shade, not solid, to make counterfeiting more difficult. Another detail is that the bills are not made of paper, but of a semi-transparent plastic which does not crumple, or tear, or wear out. Because it's transparent, there is only one side to the bill. Each bill has a watermark in the back of the image, with the words "The Republic of Krytak" repeating. There is also a holographic flag in the bottom center of the bill as another means to deter counterfeiting.

In the United Kingdom, Lira are used as paper currency - coming in 1, 5, 10, 20, 50, 75, and 100 denominations -, and Denaro are coinage, which come in 5, 10, 25, 50, and 75 denominations.

Nyte's currency is the Bloodmark. We use something similar to a credit/debit card that's genetically coded to the individual. It actually draws blood every time it's used to confirm the users identity. Hence the name. Currently, 1 Bloodmark is equal to $3.05 US Dollars.

The Credit is the currency of Novus Niciae.

It is almost purely an electronic currency with only a few commemorative coins being issued each year.

Credits are commonly stored on the ubiquitous credit card which is a stored value card.

The individual credit is a complex unique algorithm that is nearly impossible to counterfeit owing to extremely stringent propriety security measures.

Some of the measures taken are that the central bank keeps careful records as to who has legitimate possession of each and every credit so duplicates in the possession of a third party are worthless and the police are instantly notified the second the criminal attempts to use the duplicate credit and introduces it to the system. And some of the most formidable ICE programs and devices in existence protect the central banking computer and the physical security of the computer is handled by the treasury division of the Praetorian guards making hacking the central banking computer a near impossible task even for the best nation backed hacking squads.
