The New Warsaw Pact Third Cataclysm (OOC Planning Stage)

Since the thread starts in 1935 is there going to be a turn based system? What I mean by this is will we be changing the time as the thread progresses (say a month=year or something like that) or will we keep it in real time? I.E gives events a realistic amount of time to occur such as travelling, troop movements ect.

Time will be kind of free-flowing in that posts about a battle will cover less passage of time than other "non-action" posts. In simple terms, there will be no turn based passage of time.

I am going to edit my introduction a bit more, it ended up being longer than I expected, but I a basic idea of the whole thing is: my nation is behind technologically speaking, and is working to catch up while looking to be recongized as a major nation in international affaires, in other words the modernizing world remaining an isolated state is probably not a good idea. I think I will post it tomorrow.

AROLL, although we never reached that point in the C2 RP, I am still approaching this situation from the standpoint that, at some point before the Second Cataclysm was really lost or won, the real reasons for Wochik involvement came to light (in Wo'n Darshekeen, anyway), and we dissolved our Kievistani alliance post-haste. I had originally planned to switch sides in that conflict, but considering the shape the Vushicskah Fa was in, perhaps it is more realistic to say that we simply pulled our support. I suppose it is also reasonable to assume that, had the Kievistanis chosen, troops ordered by our leadership to return home from bases in Kievistan might have been detained and pressed into service with the Kievistani armed forces.

I agree with how you have chosen to play the C2. But I dont think the Vushicskah Fa was beaten that bad in the first year. I mean a few sinkers and a capital ship dont ruin a navy. I mean its your call....but I havent lost respect for your navy, or fear of your sinkers if things go south between us...

Had the Wochiks approached the Leberites about switching side in that conflict, how would the Leberites have responded?

Also, if Bacs takes a plane to the Armed Republic to begrudgingly offer his olive branch, where should that plane's destination be, exactly?

EDIT: Given the distances involved, I would say he should arrive by ship in San Leberdino the capitol, which is on my west coast.

You're probably right. I had thought of having him stop over in EPJ, Nullarri, or Nullarni en route, but 1935 is still a little early for that free of transit, huh? I'll put him on an ocean liner.

As to the end game of C2, that fits well with WD just pulling their support of Kievistan. So then comes the question of Wochik troops being pressed into Kievistani service. Seems like the kind of thing Kievistanis would do, and would no doubt have an effect on LL/WD relations.

Aw, heck. Why not slap him on the Lufeer? Now the mission has the added goal of convincing top brass that these newfangled aircraft carriers aren't such a bad idea, after all. I wonder how to deal with getting through the Nullarnish canal between the Laruvi and Edmar Seas. The Nullarnish seem slightly less likely than the Leberites to hold a grudge.

Alright I glad I finally made those final decisions for my starting paragraph. It is a little bulky but I don't think it is too bad for a first time rp. Did my best to try and find ways to position my nation so that it has the potential to be involved in a conflict while at the same time, keeping it consistant with factbook and offline data I made about this country.

Do you guys know if anyone else will join? If a large scale conflicts breaks out, logically it should affect many nations, but I realize we are limited to a small number who are both active on the site and have the time?

It really depends on if any of our fellow regionmates get involved. It would be hard for a non-NWP member to fit into the story...

True but I was talking about others in our region, my fault I could have worded that better. We had 59 members, I was hoping more would be involved. Course the regional population appears to be shrinking, it was 89 I think, when I first joined.
