eh i'll look at it again but it wasn't exactly amazing, the song at the end was pretty awful though the animators/storyboarders did a great job making that part come to life a bit.

Filly AJ woo!

I think it would have been nice to see the rest of the mane six there, but i can understand why they didn't include them, Pinkie Pie is known for stealing spotlights, Twilight for taking over organising and generally taking focus away from AJ.
Still i think it was weaker as a result they had to work a bit to make AJ have a problem at all :-p. Working too hard to impress everyone hello Rarity Applejack.

Of course the barn gets destroyed, you'd think they would make it a bit sturdier given all the previous incidents of it being destroyed but oh well.

Little continuity with Babs Seed was nice, some of the gags were okay but the only one that really stands out is the fruit bats one. Lacking in humour department despite a little world building here and there (Airship!!!!!!!).

Extending the Apple family relations was nice and a few scenes of Granny Smith chatting to some of the other old timers added a bit of immersion.
Course the lack of AJ's parents pretty much confirms by their absence that they are without a doubt dead. I'm sure some of you have seen the meteors meme thing for that comparison which i liked.

It's looking to be scoring between 5.5-8.5 I haven't really decided where exactly yet. But this episode was fairly unremarkable, Hopefully the next weeks episode will be a bit stronger.
