The monkey allowed itself to be pet, then sank its little monkey teeth into Tsu's finger. The animal exploded, and its fur, bones and gore radiated out ten feet from Tsu.

Bran pondered the idea for a few minutes, an amulet would be interesting and he could pass it on to future family members.
"How would the amulet work?" Rylli asked, stealing the words right out of Bran's mouth. Bran looked over to A'brohe'm and returned the smile, thankfull that the fishman was able to heal him.

"Hello," Naomi said. "I don't believe we've met."
"The amulet," said Swith, "would work like a magic charm (although I don't like using those words.) You would be human while wearing it but, once it was removed, you would become the other form. Advantageous, unless you get mugged on a subway. Also, once you take it off, you have to worry about leaving it somewhere while you swim around."

Swith Witherward wrote:"Okay, can do," Swith smiled. "Just remember... if they come off in NYC, you're stuck on the sidewalk as a fish. Oh, and if Rylli gets pregnant, you need to make sure she doesn't take hers off. Human biology and mer biology aren't the same. Disaster in the making."
She cracked open two bottles of beer and handed one to Bran and Rylli. She poked holes in the caps and strung them with a single strand of her own hair, leaving enough length for the caps to slip over their heads. She bestowed these on her friends and then laughed as their lower halves returned to human form. "I hope you brought clothing. The necklace is unbreakable, so don't worry about that." The strands of hair slowly changed from black to a metallic silver.
Noami cocked her head at Gio's answer. "That's a good one, but also sad in a small way."

"Sometimes it's nice to be a rebel. Still, to stay untouchable?" The thought made Naomi think of the color blue and of rainy nights, although she couldn't say why.
"You're welcome," Swith said to Bran and Rylli.

"No, I didn't think you did. For me, the word is different. 'Untouched by the harsh side of life, untouched by the weary burdens of time, and untouched by grief and sadness'. That's what I think of, and perhaps that's what I wish I could be. But then I see Eva and I realize that I need those things if I'm going to guide her as she grows."
She walked over to a chair and scooped Eva into her arms, bringing her to the group. "Eva, this is Miss Gio. She's momma's friend. Gio, this is Eva. She's my daughter."
