Les Royales U-21 Team for the 25th Di Bradini Cup, in Starblaydia

After missing out on the last Di Bradini Cup, Les Royales got there papers organized and were able to sign up. So who will represent the nation in Starblaydia? Let's find out:

Manager and Team Info
Manager: Louis-Jacques Leblanc
Style Mod: -2
Formation: 3-4-4
RP Perms: Do whatever, just don't injure players longer that tournament or godmod anything but scoring.

Goalkeepers
Artyom Bergeron, Age 17
Francois Pouliot, Age 16

Defense
Marcus Lalond, Age 20
Loic Lalond, Age 17
Yanick Archambault, Age 21
Bert Belgian, Age 19

Midfields
Alonso Davis, Age 17
Alex Gannot, Age 18
Vincent Berube, Age 21
Bonne Jones, Age 16

Strikers
Lucas Dandenault, Age 14
Stan Sarault, Age 17
Denis-Maurice Perrault, Age 17

So, that's the roster. Out of the team, 3 players play overseas already: Stan Sarault for Atletik Thessia in Mytannion, and Lucas Dandenault and Loic Lalond for Matthew City Rangers in Northern Sunrise Islands. The youngest player on the roster, Lucas Dandenault, is only age 14. He is projected to be the next Girard Giroux, alongside other youth prodigy Stan Sarault. In the net, Artyom Bergeron should come up big, he has worked well in Lac-Drouin St-Pierre's junior program, but with Jerry Watchmen from the FSSO now starting for LDSP, Bergeron could look abroad. Louis-Jacques Leblanc's professional style will prepare these kids for there futures, either stardom at the World Cup for Marc Denis' teams, or grinding it out in the AmpiSport Sicoutimont Champion's League. More details from Starblaydia about groups and schedule will be released soon, so stay tuned!
Democratic Green Republic of Sicoutimont
Population: 110,500,000 | Capital: Lac-Drouin | Language: Sicoutian | Country Code: SIC

Under the wise leadership of Chairman Alphonse Pomeroy we will brighten our future!

FUCK ISRAEL! I support peace, therefore I stand with Palestine. I want a bi-national solution, a state in which Jews and Palestinians can coexist peacefully. The onus is on Israel to stop this - it can do it anytime by bringing a ceasefire and ending apartheid.

Mytanar Under-21 Squad Announced.
SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 18, 2014 | FOOTBALL | by Arni Ekymin

Image
Ismet van Huijgevoort playing for CDSA Decraa (in their third strip), before his move to Atletik Thessia.
Elvir Buljina, the Mytanar under-21 manager, announced the squad for the 25th Di Bradini Cup. This outfit looks extremely strong, with some players having played at the top level of international football before. There does seem to be a lack of wide players, with only two being selected and the team playing a slightly butchered 4-4-2 formation, which could cause problems if either of the wide men are injured at any point during the tournament. There does seem to be a whole horde of central midfielders coming through the ranks, though, which is certainly a promising sign for the future of that position, even if it can cause problems in terms of selection - the problem all managers dream of having.

In contrast to the last under-21 squad there are no 16 year olds included in this line-up. It does seem to be an altogether more experienced team and the Young Hoops will hope to benefit from this, having a team that has played a lot of football in recent seasons and they will hope they can use that experience to their advantage against teams that maybe haven't played as much. Most of the players start for their domestic team and that isn't always what happens in other nations, with youngsters being stuck behind their older team mates for a few years before getting their starts. Youth seems to be trusted implicitly in Mytannion, which is certainly very refreshing, but we will see if it can bring the success that everybody yearns for, rather than just being a refreshing part of football.

Now to break down the team, in goal will be Stefan Wallinaar - who will be starting for both the junior national team and his club side, Liria Prizren (well, for next season anyway, after Lovric retired). He's hoped to be an eventual replacement in the senior national side, but the goalkeeping position does seem to be one we're set at, with Kondrat Istomin looking fantastic in World Cup 62. However, behind him, everything does seem a little weak - other than Demy de Zooijt of course - but there does not seem to be any options for the future after them two. It is hoped Wallinaar may be the saviour of the position for Mytannion, but the wait will continue.

Behind him in this side are Tomica Poljak, who was ever-present for Litala '93 in the Top League last season - he is clearly talented, but is very prone to silly errors. Third choice in this squad is Lukasz Domansky, the substitute goalkeeper for Atletik Thessia. He spent last season on loan at Chayka-VMZ Pozrozhdeny, who shipped goals and eventually got relegation. Domansky's confidence won't be high, but he has the raw ability too. He just needs a bit of moulding and a bit of education on how to get the best from his ability. He'll get that from the Atletik coaches, but no one knows truly how good he can be yet.

The defence does look decent though and if they can offer protection to the goalkeepers behind them, then they will hopefully keep them sheltered enough that their inexperience doesn't come through. Rob Fridrich starts at left back, the Turbine Decraa man has been linked with Atletik Thessia time and time again but as they have transitioned back to three at the back - that move doesn't look likely this season. He's a hugely talented player though and may look to catch the eye of foreign teams. Narek Berozhserkovsky - who was rewarded with a move to Dinamo Esca following his great performances for Torpedo Vershina last season - will anchor the defence and will partner Patrik Vesely there, who can also play at right back and offers some versatility there. Playing at right back is the younger of the van Senisnen brothers, Yurij. The Olympic Thessia defender will be key to this campaign and will be marauding up and down the right wing, supporting the attack whilst remaining defensively solid.

The midfield is always the key piece to the Mytanar team and they currently have an absolutely excellent crop, especially the ones who are coming through the ranks this time around. Ismet van Huijgevoort will be the hub of the team following his 12 goals and horde of assists for CDSA Decraa last season - whilst being rewarded with a big money move to Atletik Thessia may be the most important thing that has happened to him this summer, captaining the under-21s will probably be a close second. He offers goals and assists in equal measure and is the biggest threat that this team has going forward. He is fairly combative too and is similar to Niek van der Zwan in that sense. He'll be supported by young Srdjan Pannewitz, who put some excellent performances in for Dtykiga last term.

Down the left flank will be Stanislav Navratil, the second Turbine Decraa player in the squad and one looking to put in good performances to secure a move abroad. On the right is Thorvallur Asthursson who is expected to become a bit of a journeyman now, he's moved from Liria Prizren to Pakhtakor Trunca and doesn't seem to want to stay in one place for very long. He has poor temperament and that could be a big problem for him and the team.

The thing about this team is that youngsters that are very highly regarded, like Jasar Takak, Enzo Lind, Emil Thorsen and Artem Sharov are all left on the bench and in the reserves. That is the strength of the midfielders in the squad. Takak is expected to be very good, but he's behind two players who are considered to be the best of their generation. It's just unfortunate for them players that there are better ones around. Mytannion is known for producing good midfielders, but this seems to be a truly talented generation.

Up top, Emeryk Walczak will play in behind Yaromir Uspensky. Walczak's creativity will complement Uspensky's pace, but there is a real lack of height up there and strength, really. Uspensky plays for Urbizania Wanderers in Astograth and he'll hope the experience he has gained there will prepare him for coming up against some top defenders of his own age. Dzala Ertobashia has played a fair few times for the senior national team and that seems to have contributed to burnout at an exceptionally young age, the 1896 Ebor forward has been trying to get his goalscoring form back but it seems elusive - and that could be why he's on the bench for this tournament. He will offer height if brought on though, something the starting forwards are missing. Finally there is Deodor Grindhaug who had a good season for his club side Energia-Yaderny Miago. Grindhaug is a goal poacher and finds himself in good positions often, his movement is outstanding.

Full Under-21 Squad List.

The Conclespian National U21 Football Team - "The Howlers" - Di Bradini Cup 25

Et Piilgroms (The Nomads)

Head Coach: Ryan Dasforth (Human - Male - Age: 39) - Often seen and regarded by others as too young and inexperienced to be given the position of head coach of the U-21 side, Dasforth is a bright man, keen to prove them wrong with the spark and flair of his managing style. He enjoyed an extremely fulfilling career as a central midfielder after graduating from the academy of West Lumminense, and stayed there for his entire career. After his retirement at the age of 35, Ryan took up a position as the head coach of West Lumminense B, the highly-rated youth team of the club. A few years into the job, his potential to become a top, top manager was seen by the Footballing Association and he was offered the job of manager of the U-21 National Football Team. Like most of his predecessors, his tactics put an emphasis on teamwork and understanding through a disciplined passing game, and he has mixed that with his almost fanatical obsession with tactics.

Style Modifier: +4.0

Formation: 4-3-3

Starting Lineup:

1, Goalkeeper: Connor Wickbury (Human - Male - Age: 19 - Club: Silverwich City) - After starting his career with cross-town rivals Cottoncurb United, his talent was soon noticed by the scouts at Silverwich City and the lure of the opposing club was too strong to bear. Soon after moving across to the Cauldron, he made his debut in the Youth League as starting goalkeeper for The Apprentices, the club's youth team. He earned his starting berth in the U-21 side due to his spectacular positioning and reflexes, as well as his ability to make acrobatic saves, even though his decision-making has sometimes been questioned by coaches and fans alike.

3, Leftback: Peter Song (Human - Male - Age: 20 - Club: West Lumminense) - One of the members of "The Townie Toddlers", the nickname given to the current West Lumminense side headed by Colin Town because of the large amount of highly talented, academy-produced young players featuring in the starting lineup. After joining Est Schact at the age of 8, he was promoted to the senior side 10 years later at the beginning of Town's reign in the summer of 2010, earning the praise of manager, pundits and fans alike for his rapid development and meteoric rise to become the starting leftback of the team. Predominantly left-footed, his attacking mindset has drew several comparisons to Benjamin Hunslaar, his counterpart in the senior team, but is also known for his relentless defensive work-rate and speed that gives him the ability to close down any winger, no matter how fast they may be.

5, Right Centerback: Harsh Hooves (Unicorn Pony - Male - Age: 21 - Club: Cottoncurb) - Seemingly at odds at times with goalkeeper Connor Woodbury because of his shift to cross-town rivals Silverwich City, Harsh Hooves has stamped his place into the starting lineup of Cottoncurb after progressing through all of the club's youth teams and is already one of the most feared defenders in the entire Premier League. A part of the highly-defensive 2011-2012 Cottoncurb side that fought their way to the Division Two title and subsequently gaining promotion to the elite tier of Conclespian football, Harsh Hooves is already one of the most feared defenders in the entire Premier League. He is known for his strong tackles, so tough that many of them are on the line between rough and malicious, giving referees an extremely difficult task of handling his challenges. This tournament would be his first internationally, and the centerback is looking forward to, hopefully, a great campaign to come.

19, Left Centerback: Road Runner (Earth Pony - Male - Age: 20 - Club: West Lumminense) - A ball-playing centerback of immense potential, Road Runner's talent was discovered by West Lumminense at the age of 9, and the native Lumminent did not think twice before signing for his home club. Promoted to the first team at the age of 18, he has become an integral part of "The Townie Toddlers", participating in offensives seemingly more than he defends because of his great passing and dribbling skills. However, his defensive capabilities are not to be overlooked, as he has more than once put in goal-saving tackles and broken up opposition advances with vital interceptions. Alongside club teammates and close friends Jason Sevlari and Peter Long, Road Runner is hoping for a great qualification run to start off what looks to be a long and fruitful international career.

2, Rightback: James Zhang (Earth Pony - Male - Age: 20 - Club: Caislaard) - Despite his diminutive size, Zhang is one of the most steadfast defenders in the squad and also a fervent attacker, widely renowned by youth observers as a fantastic set-piece taker and crosser of the ball. Starting his career at Patriarch FC but moving to Caislaard at the age of 14, he currently plays for the youth team of the club which competes in the Youth League. He was the spotlight of a large and comedic feud between him and the manager of the club, which involved him demanding his head coach to promote him to the senior side and grabbing the collar of his shirt when the latter refused to. Nevertheless, head coach Ryan Nelson only saw this as an example of his passion for the game and promptly gave him his call-up to the U-21 side.

8, Defensive Midfield: Jason Sevlari (Human - Male - Age: 21 - Club: West Lumminense - CAPTAIN) - After suffering heartbreak during the 62nd World Cup Qualifiers but also being put in the international spotlight with his brilliant performances after an injury to teammate Blade Runner, Jason Sevlari is the star of the Toddlers of West Lumminense at the mere age of 20. Bred in the famous Est Schact (literally, "The Barn") academy of West Lumminense FC, he was promoted to the senior squad at the age of 19 and put on a series of dazzling displays, earning him a place in the starting 11. He is regarded as a "puppet master", with the pin-point accuracy of his passes dictating the tempo of the game. Also, is defensive work rate is astounding and he often stops opposition advances with his strong challenges and harrying of the opposing players.

6, Right Center Midfield: Kirk Vostashi (Human - Male - Age: 17 - Club: Askern) - The youngest member of Ryan Nelson's side, the young starlet is known for being a goal-scoring midfielder and is blessed with a ferocious shot, and an ability to use both feet as well as his head. After joining the Askern Academy from Moonich City at the age of 12, Vostashi progressed through the club's youth setup and is one of the rare youth players to make it into the senior squad of Askern FC. With his talents being carefully nurtured and developed by manager Vincent Bordonion, he provided an assist for Sandy Steamroller on his debut for the club, and is experiencing his first full international campaign with the beginning of the Di Bradini Cup.

10, Center Midfielder: Thunder Storm (Unicorn - Male - Age: 21 - Club: Silverwich City) - Thunder Storm has matured immensely over the past season, developing into a brilliant creator of goals and often seen as the successor to Ryan Cho as the starting No. 10 of the senior side. After being transferred from Patriarch FC to Silverwich City at the beginning of the 2011-2012, he immediately flourished and experienced a massive improvement in his playing quality because of the club's passing philosophy suiting his style of play. Gifted with a sublime first touch and excellent vision, Thunder Storm is to be the most advanced of the midfield three, taking up the role of playmaker and creator. Only time will tell if he can transfer his club form to the international stage.

7, Right Wing: Fred Watson (Human - Male - Age: 21 - Club: West Lumminense) - Part of the rapidly rising Toddlers side, Watson is, like most players on his club team, a graduate of Est Schact and was promoted to the first team at the age of 18. Nationally renowned for his blistering runs down the flanks and his ability to whip immensely accurate crosses into the box, Watson is both a scorer and provider of goals, his understanding with Sandy Steamroller one of the fundamental relationships in the side. After experiencing a breakout campaign in the World Cup 62 with several excellent displays despite serving a lot of his time on the bench, Watson is looking to help the U-21 side to a great run in the Di Bradini Cup.

11, Left Wing: Breeze McMane (Pegasus Pony - Male - Age: 19 - Club: Silverwich) - Excellent at finding gaps in the defense with his darting runs and uncanny ability to stay off opposition defenders' radar, McMane started his career in West Lumminense before moving over to Silverwich City's youth setup, making his senior debut for the club just a few weeks ago at the beginning of the season. Seamlessly fitting into the side, despite his oversized ego McMane was called up by Ryan Nelson due to his sheer talent, and he claimed that the manager had him on the phone months before the tournament even started.

9, Striker: Sandy Steamroller (Pegasus Pony - Male - Age: 21 - Club: Askern) - After experiencing a stellar qualifying campaign and bagging a large portion of his team's goals in the World Cup 62, Sandy Steamroller is the natural choice to lead the line for the U-21 side. Sought out by Askern FC at the age of 8, Steamroller experienced a meteoric rise to fame as he made his debut at a mere 17 years of age, becoming the youngest ever goalscorer for the club when he scored against Silverwich City at 17 years and 278 days. Known for his accurate and fierce shot, this starlet is one of the most valued players in Conclespia, and has already won the Conclespian Footballers' Union Young Player of the Year award, as well as the league title in the 2010-11 season with Askern. Able to use both feet as well as his head extremely well, Steamroller is expected to lead the line for club and country for many years to come.

Di Bradini Cup 25/U21WC46 RP/Roster/Scores Thread

Postby Maklohi Vai » Sun Nov 18, 2012 5:31 pm

(OOC: Sorry for the lack of full roster, but IC, it's very important.)

Vaian youths, by law, cannot have their names released to the public until they are 17, and even then only by duo-parental consent. Therefore, because this Vaian team is composed of 16 year olds, no roster can be released nor specific players mentioned. Instead, all players are referred to by number or position.
This policy stems from an incidence in Grazak, a neighboring nation, in which a series of child actors, 8 in total, were abducted by a criminal known only from his cryptic notes as Mklogi. It was determined in his trial that he was able to track the youths through various mediums, including social networking sites, before devising plans to abduct them. This entire incident sent understandably huge shockwaves through Grazak and close nations, including Maklohi Vai. The current policy was developed along with another that limited information that minors could post on social sites.

Instead, here are the kit numbers of the players, by position. Those with specific positions before the number are the starters.

Yesopalithan National U-21Team
"The Sparks"

Manager: Peter Bartoli, 48
Assistant Manager: Katherine Nu Manz, 37

The Formation: 3-5-2 (-1 Style Modifier)

The Yesopalithan game has started to become one based on solid defense and rapid counterattacks that catch the other side off balance. The side wingers in the midfield are responsible for helping out the defense as much as required and to push the ball up to the middle three midfielders and the two forwards. There won't be many close-up goals, and headers are almost unheard of except via corner kicks. For Yesopalitha to win by more than two goals in a game is for the team to have a good offensive game. On defense, they concentrate on keeping the ball away from the penalty box; if this means committing a foul and giving up a free kick, they'll give up that free kick. At times, the goalkeeper is called to be the lone man guarding the net, and he/she must be able to face one-on-one situations...

The Starting XI

Goalkeeper: #0 Jing Wang Age: 17 Height: 6 feet, 0 inches
Defender: #33 Damian Garcez Age: 18 Height: 6 feet, 2 inches

U21 World Cup 7 Champions

GOALKEEPERS:

[ ] CorsiBot [ - Lake Bekk Robotics - ]
------- GK ( AGE: 1 CAPS: 8 :: GOALS::SR: 0 )
Lake Bekk's featured goalkeeper-bot modeled after Vilitan goalkeeper Massimo Corsi. Corsi played much of his career in Giant Zucchini but left after the widely publicized downfall of the nation. Corsi had been an important part of Arkanoid FC's GZPL performances. CorsiBot played all of the Robothings matches during the Worlds Fair Play tournament, sharing time with Citizen Jungrii Canopii

[ ] IssahBot [ - Crosaibi Robotics - ]
------- GK ( AGE: 1 CAPS: 2 :: GOALS::SR: 0 )
The IssahBot, designed by Crosaibi Robotics, is modeled after former Vilita National Team and Marine Coast United goalkeeper Rory Issah.

[ ] SlietahBot [ - Turori Robotics - ]
------- GK ( AGE: 1 CAPS: 0 :: GOALS::SR: 0 )
The star creation of the Turori Robotics camp, SlietahBot is modeled after Milauo Slietah, perhaps the most-famous of all Turorian goalies. Along with fellow Turorian National team star Marlian Hunial, Slietah helped to start up Cednia Beach AFC. Slietah famously scored a hat-trick in a Cup of Harmony world World Cup 16 against Starblaydia, ensuring himself a place in football folklore.

DEFENDERS:

[ ] AhatBot [ - Crosaibi Robotics - ]
------- D RC ( AGE: 1 CAPS: 9 :: GOALS::SR: 0 )
AhatBot, like its namesake, former Vilitan defender Enzo Ahat, is a Textbook Central Defender.

[ ] AlianaBot [ - Alikki-Corra Robotics - ]
------- D RLC ( AGE: 1 CAPS: 8 :: GOALS::SR: 0 )
Despite being modeled after Esemar Aliana who spent much of his career in Yeaddin, the AlianaBot was developed by Alikki-Corra Robotics. Aliana was a promising young utility defender at Alikki-Corra FC who made his first appeances for The U21 side during the successful Runner-Up finish to Jeruselem. He then became a regular on the Subs bench during World Cup 15, the first edition that saw Vilita qualify for the finals. Esemar Aliana would become one of the top defenders in Vilita, and his move to Yeaddin Owls AFC resulted in a plethora of Stellar Division championship medals.

[ ] AfrikkaBot [ - Jlinal Robotics - ]
------- D LC ( AGE: 1 CAPS: 6 :: GOALS::SR: 2 )
AfrikkaBot produced by Jlinal Robotics highlights the qualities of former Vilitan defender Jaloey Afrikka who was always one of the quiet talents in the Vilita lineup. A regular in the team since graduating from the Under-21 side, Jaloey was always in the roster somewhere, either starting or on the bench, when the Vilitan teamsheet was announced. With the retirement of Vilitan defensive legends Giacomo Adika and Enzo Ahat, Afrikka found himself as first-choice Central Defender for the World Cup 19 Finals. Afrikka was an easy choice for Jlinal Robotics as the memorable defender both started and ended his career with Jlinal Cove FC. In between stints at Jlinal Cove, the well travelled Afrikka was one of few players known to have featured for the Vilitan Trio, after signing with Yeaddin Owls, Afrikka featured for Strike FC and Marine Coast United in addition to a host of other teams throughout his career. Afrikka retired from the Vilitan National Team following World Cup 22.

[ ] AdikaBot [ - Jlinal Robotics - ]
------- D/DM LC ( AGE: 1 CAPS: 4 :: GOALS::SR: 0 )
Jlinal Robotics created AdikaBot in coordination with Crosaibi Robotics production of AhatBot in a share agreement. The qualities of Enzo Ahat and Giacomo Adika were always complimentary, and AdikaBot is expected to feature on the left back position whenever AhatBot is in the center of the defense.

[ ] OllirgBot [ - Yeaddin Robotics - ]
------- D C (SW) ( AGE: 1 CAPS: 3 :: GOALS::SR: 0 )
OllirgBot is modeled after former Yeaddin Owls defender Matteo Ollirg who made sporatic appearances at Centre-Back for the Vilitan National team while also being an Influencial Club Team player

[ ] HunialBot [ - Turori Robotics - ]
------- D RLC ( AGE: CAPS: :: GOALS::SR: )
Modeled after famed Turorian defender Marlian Hunial, one of the creators of Cednia Beach AFC, HunialBot had setbacks in testing and it is not clear whether all the bugs have yet been worked out.

[ ] SurfBot [ - Yeaddin Robotics - ]
------- D C ( AGE: 1 CAPS: 0 :: GOALS::SR: 0 )
Yeaddin Robotics created SurfBot to pay homage to long-time Yeaddin Owls head coach Kenter Surf who was also a defender from time to time in the days prior to his coaching career.

DEFENSIVE MID:

[ ] RamziBot [ - Crosaibi Robotics - ]
------- DM C ( AGE: 1 CAPS: 5 :: GOALS::SR: 0 )
When Crosaibi Robotics first announced their foray into the world of Robotic Athletics, everyone knew what Bot would be their star. RamziBot is of course modeled after Defensive Midfielder Jurgen Ramzi. Ramzi took up a role behind the central midfielders in a strong debutant World Cup 14 Qualifying showing by the Jungle Cats after missing out on the entirety of the World Cup 13 campaign. Ramzi assumed Captaincy of Marine Coast United following the departure of Santo Kecker to Barcoenfuego in Kingsford, and played many successful seasons in Crosaibi. With the lack of a suitable Defensive Midfield replacement, Ramzi was urged by Vilitan head coach Helmut Vilkaus to stay on the international scene well into his 30's. Ramzi agreed, while taking up a new job, as coach of Jlinal Cove FC, where he has begun a transformation which made Jlinal Cove FC look more like a Defensive Midfield training academy.

[ ] RatuvaBot [ - Jlinal Robotics - ]
------- D DM RC ( AGE: 1 CAPS: 4 :: GOALS::SR: 0 )
Jlinal Robotics designed RatuvaBot after Vilitan defensive midfielder Antonis Ratuva who was first Called to the U21 side for Defensive Midfield cover in U21WCIV, Ratuva had an impressive debut season in Central Defense for Jlinal Wanderers in the Vilitan Lower Leagues, and was first noticed as a National Team candidate when Baron O'Toole attended the Jlinal Wanderers v. Turoki Isle Vilitan Cup match, deciding that he would potentially be best utilized sitting between the midfielders and the defense.

[ ] OtienoBot [ - Lake Bekk Robotics - ]
------- DM C ( AGE: 1 CAPS: 0 :: GOALS::SR: 0 )
OtienoBot was created by LakeBekk Robotics

MIDFIELDERS:

[ ] KeckerBot [ - Lonngeylin Robotics - ]
------- M LC ( AGE: 1 CAPS: 8 :: GOALS::SR: 0 )
The pride and joy of Lonngeylin Robotics, KeckerBot is a spitting image of Santo Kecker, the long time Captain of Vilitan National Team - that is with a few extra nuts and bolts. Kecker transferred from Marine Coast United to Barcoenfuego of Kingsford for 6.2m Following World Cup 14. Kecker, a free kick specialist, was left homeless when the Kingsford Pillar League dissolved and decided the time was right for a return to the Vilitan League. While he had originally planned to rejoin Marine Coast United, Kecker ended up at Jungle Strike FC. Kecker, Strike or Marine Coast never revealed any of the reasons behind this decision. Whatever the reason, the effect was clear, with Strike stepping up as the main challenger to Yeaddin Owls in the seasonal challenge for the Stellar Division title, as well as counting up a handful of Vilitan Cup and Tropical Trophy victories along the way.

[ ] BaledrokadrokaBot [ - Crosaibi Robotics - ]
------- M RC ( AGE: 1 CAPS: 9 :: GOALS::SR: 1 )
BaledrokadrokaBot, also known simply as "BaleBot" or "BalayBot" was designed by Crosaibi Robotics in a mold similar to that of former Marine Coast United and Vilita midfielder Jonathan Baldrokadroka

[ ] NerniBot [ - Yeaddin Robotics - ]
------- M RC ( AGE: 1 CAPS: 8 :: GOALS::SR: 2 )
NerniBot was created by Yeaddin Robotics as tribute to one of the most Famous players in Yeaddin and Vilitan history, Tanner Nerni. The Impressive Wing Midifleder, born & raised in Turori by Vilitan parents, saw his first international action in the Atlantian Oceania Cup of Association Football. Nerni's performances at a young age in the AOCAF Cup and for Cednia Beach AFC in Turori earned him what was a then-record transfer to high-flying Yeaddin Owls AFC in Vilitan Season 10. Nerni, however, seemed to have never made the impact on the National Stage, as was the case with many of the Owls stars, who seemed at that time to save their best performances for the league and never walk too far from the bench when the Teal, Orange and Navy are in action. That is, until the World Cup 20 final. It was Nerni's penetrating runs down the right flank that eventually earned Vilita the World Cup for the first time, Nerni scoring the winning goal and becoming the hottest commodity in sport. Eventually, Eastal Lunar tendered an offer no club could refuse, and Nerni was off to his new club for an all-time record Vilitan transfer. Nerni's impact at Eastal Lunar was nothing of what was expected of a World Cup hero, and Nerni made a less than blockbuster move back home to Cednia Beach AFC. However, looking to bolster their Season 17 squad, the Owls came calling once again for their former superstar winger. Nerni helped the Owls record another Vilitan Cup title, but failed in their goal of a third straight champions league title. Nerni returned to Cednia Beach by request, for a sizable fee, during Season 18. Nerni spent his twilight playing years home at the Beach, before retiring and accepting an offer to coach the Jlinal Wanderers upon their return to the Declasse division in season 22.

[ ] StottBott [ - Crosaibi Robotics - ]
------- M RC ( AGE: 1 CAPS: 6 :: GOALS::SR: 0 )
StottBott was modeled by Crosaibi Robotics after Jonathon Stott, the respected utility midfielder who featured greating in the Vilita Roster during World Cup 14 with many productive performances on the Right Wing.

[ ] MitarokaBot [ - Yeaddin Robotics - ]
------- M RLC ( AGE: 1 CAPS: 6 :: GOALS::SR: 1 )
It was no surprised when Yeaddin Robotics decided to model a bot after former Yeaddin Owls midfielder Calaesa Mitaroka. Mitaroka's Performances for Yeaddin in Season One earned him Youth Player of the Year Honors along with Yeaddin's Stellar Division Championship in the Inagural Vilitan season. Mitaroka never developed into the powerhouse force that was expected from his early performances, but was always expected to make a great coach one day do to his leadership both on and off the field at Yeaddin Owls AFC. Mitaroka has since taken charge of the Vilitan National Team, leading them to the World Cup Finals, proving the validity of the prophecy made many years prior.

[ ] DogbéBot [ - Arcticala Robotics - ]
------- M LC ( AGE: 1 CAPS: 7 :: GOALS::SR: 1 )
DogbeBot was developed by Arcticala Robotics as a tribute to Cristian Dogbe, Vilitan midfielder during their debut campaign in World Cup 13 Qualifying.

[ ] ChapmanBot [ - Yeaddin Robotics - ]
------- M LC ( AGE: 1 CAPS: 4 :: GOALS::SR: 2 )
Yeaddin Robotics developed ChapmanBot in the mold of Nigel Chapman who was the Vilitan National Team Captain prior to their entry into the WCC and World Cup Qualifying campaigns prior to World Cup 13. Chapman, who was in the twilight of his career at the time, never featured largely for the National Team after this point.

[ ] TuirmaBot [ - Turori Robotics - ]
------- M LC ( AGE: 1 CAPS: 0 :: GOALS::SR: 0 )
TurimaBot is the most well rounded player to come out of the Turori Robotics stable, modeled after long time Turorian National Team and FC Almintora midfielder Cuolia Tuirma

[ ] ÖstlingBot [ - Arcticala Robotics - ]
------- M LC ( AGE: 1 CAPS: 2 :: GOALS::SR: 0 )
ÖstlingBot was modeled by Arcticala Robotics after the Inconsistent but Talented Attacking Midfielder Alexander Östling who was especially reknowned for having the potential to make or break a game by coming on as a sub.

[ ] MelliBot [ - Lonngeylin Robotics - ]
------- M C ( AGE: 1 CAPS: 0 :: GOALS::SR: 0 )
Lonngeylin Robotics modeled MelliBot after exciting Central Midfielder Umberto Melli whose brilliant performances in the historical Vilitan Under-21 World Cup 3 team earned him his first call up to the National Team during World Cup 15. Melli was widely considered as one of the most reliable midfielders in all of Vilita.

FORWARDS:

[ ] BandaBot [ - Arcticala Robotics - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 1 CAPS: 8 :: GOALS::SR: 1 )
Arcticala Robotics created one of the single most anticipated beings in BandaBot. Obviously catered to represent the sensational striker Callum Banda who first appeared for the National team in World Cup 13 and scored the Jungle Cats first ever goal in Inter-NationStatal Competition in the 2-1 over Compound Interest. Banda set a Vilitan record by scoring 10 times during World Cup 19 Qualifying, including his 50th career goal, both in all international competitions, and his 50th Senior-National tally with the equalizer against Tadjikistan. Banda capped off a sensational season by winning his first Vilitan Most Valuable Player award. Banda netted his 196th career Domestic goal for Marine Coast United as he helped return his long-time club to the top of the Stellar Division in Season 15. In Season 16, Banda netted his 200th career goal for Marine Coast United, then shocked the world by announcing he would be leaving the club he had played for his entire career, midway through Season 16. Banda was offerred the job of saving Arcticala Inlet from the threat of relegation, not only as a Striker, but also, as team manager. Banda accepted the job, and not only fired the goals that kept Arcticala Inlet safe, but coached the club to victory in the Vilitan Cup for the 5th time in club history.

[ ] MbidzoBot [ - Lake Bekk Robotics - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 1 CAPS: 7 :: GOALS::SR: 4 )
MbidzoBot was developed by Lake Bekk Robotics after famed Vilitan striker Carmine Mbidzo. Mbidzo learned from the best as the former Understudy to the inseperable strike partnership of Callum Banda and Jim Vella at Marine Coast United. He transferred to Cednia Beach after Requesting First-Team Football and recorded 25 goals in 32 games in all competitions, breaking all related club records for Cednia at just 16 years old. He led the team to the Vilitan Cup final, only to be defeated by none other than Marine Coast, a goal from friend of the family Baron O'Toole ending Cednia Beach's Cup dream. At seasons end, Mbidzo became the youngest ever recipient of the Vilitan Stellar Division top goalscorer award, and earned a call to the Vilitan National Under-21 team. Mbidzo found life rocky from that point on, however, and decided to try and re-vitalise his career by transferring out of Vilita and into Starblaydia. The gambit obviously worked, and he smashed in 22 goals in in his first season at the Daii, earning himself the plaudits of the Starblaydi fans as well as the scoring the Goal of the Season for Season 1. Regional coach Santo Kecker invited Mbidzo to his squad for AOCAF IX in Cockbill Street, and Mbidzo responded in great form, smashing home 8 goals in 6 games, including the lone goal in both the Semi Finals over Nedalia and the Final against Hypocria to lead the Regional cats to their second Regional Title. MbidzoBot scored twice during the Robothings appearance in the Worlds Fair Play tournament.

[ ] DuPontBot [ - Lonngeylin Robotics - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 1 CAPS: 6 :: GOALS::SR: 0 )
Lonngeylin Robotics developed DuPontBot after former Academy player Serge DuPont who graduated to the senior squad prior to V-League Season Two. DuPont quickly made his International Senior Debut in World Cup XV Qualfiying against the East Asian Empire and has was favored on the senior bench over veteran Lorenzo Mumamba. DuPont was one of Vilita's top all-time goalscorers at the regional level within Atlantian Oceania. DuPont got his domestic career started with Strike FC, where he went on to score not only a personal record, but the all time Vilitan Domestic record for individual goals in a season, netting 42 times in just 35 matches during Season 5. DuPont spent 5 seasons with Arcticala Inlet and helped transform the club from a mid table side, to a 5-Time Vilitan Cup champion, continuing his prolific scoring form before returning to Strike FC in Season 12. Throughout his domestic career, DuPont netted over 300 goals, and is believed to be the top all-time scorer in the Vilitan League.

[ ] IobabaoBot [ - Turori Robotics - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 1 CAPS: 0 :: GOALS::SR: 0 )
IobabaoBot is the first attempt from Turori Robotics at an attack minded player. IobabaoBot is modeled after long time Mliona-Lpaka striker Kaboafo Iobabao.

[ ] MumambaBot [ - Alikki-Corra Robotics - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 1 CAPS: 4 :: GOALS::SR: 0 )
Alikki-Corra Robotics chose to mold their attacking creation around Lorenzo Mumamba who famously scored the Winning Goal in the Cup of Tardy vs. The Weegies.

[ ] SalomónBot [ - Yeaddin Robotics - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 1 CAPS: 0 :: GOALS::SR: 0 )
Yeaddin Robotics created SalomonBot after German Salomon who helped the Yeaddin Owls to their first Stellar Division Championship in Season One, Leading the Vilitan League in scoring, before transferring to Elders in Kingsford.

[ ] VellaBot [ - Crosaibi Robotics - ]
------- F C ( AGE: 1 CAPS: 1 :: GOALS::SR: 0 )
Crosaibi chose the Impressive, Undervalued strike partner of Callum Banda at Marine Coast United, Jim Vella, as the mold for their most attack-minded creation.

Team Overview

The senior team has saw its major reshuffle after the World Cup after a failure to qualify for the World Cup 62 and right now, the Young Lions are right in the DBC 25 or U-21 WC 46 for the last tournament supposedly at the end of the 62nd World Cup cycle. The Young Lions too like their senior counter parts has seen their fair part of criticism, having the right problems that the senior team has faced.

Having missed out on the DBC last cycle and not earning the right results during the tournament itself, the Young Lions went out of their so-called business and started back to back closed doors training for the past two cycles or so and the U-21 team has seen their fair share of promotion and new players taking the places of the promoted players.

The new team forged under the U21 trainer Elton Parker, "La Professori", put in solid performance for the past two cycles during which they did not participate in any international tournaments. Recent victories in the Victorian GSM Under 21 Youth Cup LXXX and LXXXI gave the Young Lions some confidence and thereafter eliminating the senior team's tournament failures.

It just looks to be seen on whether the Young Lions are able to get to the knockout rounds of the DBC, a feat that the U21 team has never achieved before, similarly to the senior team's advancement to the knockout rounds of the Cup Of Harmony, the first in the history of the national team.

Pressure isn't on the Under 21 team to perform but an advancement would be excellent for the team and also the reputation of the team.

The Freisan Farf Freitball Francitian (Official Farf Football Association in English) has officially presented WC62's roster:

Image

Manager: Martín Ferro
Assistant Manager: Fabio Mascaró
Scouts: Monuele Di Fini and Horacio Guirrechoa
Nickname: La Nerguyrojite. (Farf name)
Style: +4

Starting Eleven:

GK:
Name: Nikita Guldbrandsen
Team: Flying Jellyfish
Age: 21
Style: Fast at diving
Bio: Nikita is the first female Farf to play for any national team. She's recently won a starting position at Flying Jellyfish and is a goalkeeper with a lot of time to improve even more. She's young and excels at diving, which she does quickly ad precisely. She's surprisingly short for a goalkeeper, but she's overcome this easily, apparently.

LB:
Name: Ximo Mata
Team: Friguista Farfa
Age: 20
Style: Fast and good at long passes. Pressure seems to do nothing to him.
Bio: Mata is a starter at Friguista Farfa at the age of 20, which is impressive regardless of how mid-table the team is. Mata is good at long passes and can assist a striker when least expected. Most teams take him for granted due to his lack of skill when dribbling, like if he couldn't create chances, regardless of being a left back. He plays the game for fun and responsibility never back-fires him.

CB:
Name: Joseý Daokō (C)
Team: Fragardallians
Age: 19
Style: Joins the attack precisely, superb skill at defending and attacking.
Bio: Joseý is probably the base of the team. He is superb at defending in all areas. At the same time, his dribbling and passing are difficult to polish more. He knows when to join the attack, and does it rather conservatively. However, he still starts some chances by taking the ball up to the midfield and sending through passes. Probably the player here with the most future, or at least a close first.

RB:
Name: Jens Krupin
Team: Flying Jellyfish
Age: 21
Style: Understands defensive play perfectly and can join the attack when needed.
Bio: Krupin is a player who can provide with the defensive player that was missing for a long time. He's perfect at most things of defending and seldomly joins the attack, which he can do decently. He's a semi-starter in his team.

CDM:
Name: Fernando Blanco
Team: Ogdenaire Oren (Springmont)
Age: 20
Style: Awesome defensively but horrible offensively
Bio: The guy who left Avenida Victoria just before they became champions. His defensive skills are mind blowing. He tend to keep the opposing midfield controlled a slong as his other teammates don't fuck up. However, downsides include poor dribbling, poor passing, depressing football IQ, bad shooting and grievous long-distance-shooting. He is, however, physically gifted.

LCM:
Name: Fiorino De Leon
Team: Fragardallians
Age: 18
Style: Fast and skilled
Bio: Fiorino hasn't received any experience with Fragardallians yet. However, he's got some really promising future according to football experts. He's skilled and can go down the flank with extreme ease. He's extremely fast, easily the fastest of the team. He always has a last trick up his sleeve, which he may unexpectedly appeal to on desperate occasions. The tricks usually vary.

CM:
Name: Valdo Ragnere
Team: Ferdullaele FC
Age: 18
Style: Complete midfielder.
Bio: Valdo is a midfielder who is above-average in all areas. He's currently Ferdullaele's most promising player, and has to demonstrate it this Di Bradini Cup. He's along with Daokō one of the most promising players in this team. His trademark "sweepball", a trick who he copied from Farf swamp football star Elip Kander. It's basically one-touch controlling the ball and, without ever stopping contact, send it through the opponent's legs. It's quite humiliating and he'll use it to set matches on fire, when he finds it convenient.

RCM:
Name: Fer von Heim
Team: Fryi Frêndê
Age: 21
Style: Experienced, reliable and committed
Bio: Fer is a starter with Fryi Frêndê, Farf team which recently got the fourth place on the FFL, which means they'll be heading for the Globe Cup qualifiers. He's extremely reliable and good, or at least average in most aspects. He's extremely hard-working and never thinks that a game is already lost. However, he may have some problems with the referee, those usually don't end nicely.

LW:
Name: Sê Mêrí
Team: Mont Blanc Club (Free Swiss States)
Age: 18
Style: Perfect dribbling and crossing, scores and assists a lot. Perfect for taking corners.
Bio: Mêrí is, as some others, really promising. He moved out to the Free Swiss States at the age of 17 and just became a starter after scoring 3 goals on little time. His crosses are world-class according to most Farf experts. His dribbling is precise, but he doesn't like to perform tricks. Likes scoring and will often try to do it, sometimes selfishly. He's ambedextrous.

RW:
Name: Américo Di Stefano
Team: Fragardallians
Age: 21
Style: Fast-paced and agile. Very good at finishing.
Bio: Fragardallians' star striker. He's been moved to the right flank due to Vasilije Østergård being the attack priority. He's a bit short but really agile. Most defenders can't keep up with his pace and his finishing often makes goalkeepers useless. A real threat to any team, specially when combined with Mêrí and Østergård.

ST:
Name: Vasilije Østergård
Team: Flying Jellyfish
Age: 17
Style: Playmaking striker. Precise shooting from anywhere. Excellent dribbling.
Bio: At the age of 17, Vasilije is this team's youngest player, as well as the most promising along with Ragnere, Daokō and Mêrí. He's characterized for leaving his teammate attackers with best-case-scenario opportunities. His playmaking is often too much for defenders. He's extremely precise at shooting, often fetching the upper-corners with elegance. His dribbling is much better than average and he tends to administrate it well: just as much dribbling as needed to create an opportunity. Østergård became a starter with Flying Jellyfish this year, almost breaking a record for youngest player to make his first appearance. Already settled, everyone has high hopes for this guy, and he has to make up for his name this Di Bradini Cup.

Substitutes

GK:
Name: Yundini Fa
Team: Sent 01 (Youth team)
Age: 19
Style: Nothing to highlight, just your average goalkeeper.
Bio: Fa recently gained the starter position on Sent 01 after the team almost went bankrupt, he's not a goalkeeper you can highlight anything on, but he's pretty decent in all areas. He can make up for a good substitute if Guldbrandsen gets sent out or is injured.

CB:
Name: Shin Dollarfatuyi
Team: Feardallis' Wanderers
Age: 21
Style: Apparently above-average in all areas
Bio: Dollarfatuyi is Feardallis Wanderers' best defender, however, he couldn't manage to get on the starting line-up, but may enter on any match if Daokō under performs, this is the second DBC in a row that this happens, but he's still a potential center back for the future, still being really young.

RM:
Name: Hriya Mikatevic
Team: Scherten FC (Cambirano)
Age: 20
Style: Good at shooting from afar, fast, bad at defending but decent when he tries.
Bio: Mikatevic is, along with Mêrí, the only player to have moved out of Farfadillis before getting to play his first match. He's not a starter mainly due to von Heim's role on Fryi Frêndê's good season the last FFL, but he can get minutes of play, and those usually range from 20 to 30, enough for him to promote himself and get a starting position.

CM:
Name: Dieje Fellay
Team: Ferdullaele FC
Age: 18
Style: Very good at shooting from long distances, complete forward
Bio: Fellay is a complete forward; he does everything a forward must do at least decently and has the advantage of shooting almost perfectly from long distances. He's one of Farfadillis' best known youth players, but nationally. He still hasn't got the starting position in any team, but has got some caps for the U-21. He's still too young for a starting position, specially one that doesn't fit the formation Ferro wants to use.

ST:
Name: Giviu Wotchini
Team: Fryi Frêndê
Age: 21
Style: Precise finisher, gets tired quite fast.
Bio: Wotchini is a starter for Fryi Frêndê, though not its most notable player, and has taken a role in its succesful season big enough to be called for an U-21 substitute place. He's not gonna get much playing time, but he may end up being useful.

ST:
Name: Toño Baumann
Team: Sent 01
Age: 20
Style: Poacher
Bio: Baumann is a spectacular poacher for his team: Sent 01. However, playing in Sent 01 guarantees nothing and during trainings he wasn't convincing enough to Ferro, the manager, and will probably be a substitute for the whole competition, he's still going to get playing time, according to Ferro. His goalscoring record isn't impressive, but it's decent to say the least.

"Hello, good afternoon, and welcome to this special FPIBC bulletin on the U-21 national football team. Gregorz van der Riise was the name on everybody's lips earlier today, as he announced his U-21s squad for the twenty-fourth Di Bradini Cup, being held in Starblaydia. These are happy hunting grounds for van der Riise having lifted the trophy in the past, and as such, expectations are sure to be high again here. The Haapa-Mechelin youth academy is well represented once again, as you might expect, with the ever-more celebrated Northbrook Academy represented by a clutch of players as well. Gregorz will be assisted this time around by the now full time youth coach and former Tern Ole van Jendrisen."

GK
#1 - GK - Artemiusz Korzhanenko - Age 21 - SK Franz Josef City
#12 - GK - Alexis Sand - Age 19 - Red Star Severny
#13 - GK - Iulian Kirilaunen - Age 18 - FC1. Surtsey Island Gulls
"Artemiusz Korzhanenko returns to take the gloves of the number one again, and the continuity will surely be a good thing. Alexis Sand is promoted to understudy with Ipsen's injury, meaning there is a spare spot in the lucky number thirteen jersey for young Iulian Kirilaunen of Surtsey, who impressed on loan last season at Mariussa Viking."

DEF
#2 - DR - Alexander Hesjedal - Age 20 - Northbrook Diamonds FK
#3 - DC - Vojta Vlaschenko - Age 21 - FC Cape St Paul
#4 - DC - David Wien - Age 21 - Jan Mayen Islanders - CAPTAIN
#5 - DL - Otto Zhdanov - Age 21 - FC Axel Heiburg
#19 - DR - Mika Haagenstadt - Age 17 - East Franz Athletic
#18 - DC - Soren Rovanpera - Age 21 - FC Axel Heiburg
#21 - DL - Fabian Vaaraniemi - Age 18 - FC1. Bjarnarey Flotilla
#22 - DC - Joachim Elden - Age 18 - RSK Longyearbyen Town
#23 - DC - Morten Salo - Age 18 - Resolute Storm 1913 FC
"David Wien takes the captain's armband in the face of Kohev Kungas-Vaga's promotion to the senior side, and is using all the experience gained on loan at Caernville Seahawks in the process. He is joined in the centre of defence by Soren Rovanpera and Vojta Vlaschenko, whilst Hesjedal and Zhdanov become the first choice wing-backs. Haagenstadt, Salo, Vaaraniemi and Elden are all called up for the first time."

MID
#6 - MC - Olivier Toiviainen - Age 18 - East Franz Athletic
#7 - MR - Marten Juric - Age 19 - FC1. Surtsey Island Gulls
#8 - MC - Jean-Eric Villeneuve - Age 20 - Cap Nordique (Cotdelapoms)
#11 - ML - Noah Lento - Age 19 - Jan Mayen Islanders
#14 - DMC - Timo Kaaselainen - Age 19 - Northbrook Diamonds FK
#15 - DMC - Jorgen Kirvesniemi - Age 19 - Rapid Jan Mayen FK
#16 - AMC - Nikita Pirinen - Age 19 - FC Solovetsky Monastery
#20 - MC - Fabian Ekman - Age 19 - Koppen Rig Force
"All sorts could happen in this midfield this tournament, and there's a versatile selection of players taken as a result. Toiviainen and Kaaselainen both make their debuts, whilst wingers Juric and Lento will provide pace and options from the wings. Much is to be expected of the attacking creativity of Pirinen and Villeneuve, and Kirvesniemi and Ekman will be able to provide the muscle when needed."

ATT
#9 - ST - Wojciech Jagr - Age 21 - FC Axel Heiburg
#10 - ST - Kjartan Dagfinnursson - Age 19 - SK Franz Josef City
#17 - ST - Alexis Zeljeznicar - Age 18 - South Factory (Astograth)
"Illich-Svitych's promotion to the senior side and Udalov's injury meant that there was potentially a spot for two new strikers. However, van der Riise's election to choose an extra defender instead has seen just the one. Alexis Zeljeznicar is that player, who now plays in Astograth following relegation last season. Kjartan Dagfinnursson is selected again but still hasn't been tied down exclusively to his Polarian half when it comes to the senior side, but in all likelihood the main source of goals this tournament will be Wojiech Jagr."

Manager - Berbiz Munduarte
Though kept busy with the Campeonatos Rushmori de la Juventud, and more recently the 3rd Brevity Challenge Cup, it's been quite a while since Berbiz Munduarte took the U-21 national team to a Di Bradini Cup. With many notable alumni, the Astograthian youth setup will be looking for some much-needed vigour... and the title, of course, having never gone past the quarterfinals. Munduarte is quite capable, demonstrating his talent in his seasons with South Factory and in the finalist position achieved at the last CRJ Sub-20, as well as winning Astograth's second Glass Bowl at the Brevity Cup with a 'fringe' squad. He will field a conservative 4-1-2-1-2 formation; the players numbered 1 to 11 are the initial starters, but given the nature of a competition there should be a lot of rotation.

Squad:
#1 - GK - Ametz Teyechea - Age 21 - Ituraitz Victory
#13 - GK - Yaunti Barsena - Age 20 - Royal Rumiatzi
#23 - GK – Apal Barrendegi - Age 19 - Ituraitz FC
It should come as no surprise that two of the three goalkeepers hail from Ituraitz, a region noted for its talent beneath the crossbar. Both Teyechea and Barrendegi are their clubs' official backup keepers and being steadily groomed for the spot; Barsena has it harder at Royal Rumiatzi and will likely not find much success their, but is no less skilled than his Ituraitzi fellows.

#2 - LB - Yurdan Labordeta - Age 20 - Echegoyan FC
#21 - LB - Xurdin Inkera - Age 18 - Oyardo FC
#3 - CB - Anartz Agirrebenia - Age 20 - Blue Mountain Range
#4 - CB – Lerchun Isasi - Age 20 - Athletic Club Olarria
#12 - CB – Adon Errozarana - Age 19 - Royal Rumiatzi
#16 - CB – Berasko Salabert - Age 18 - Image Sporting Iturributa
#5 - RB - Ekain Ziaurriz - Age 19 - Oyardo FC
#19 - RB - Arroso Yarke - Age 18 - Athletic Club Rumiatzi
Labordeta and Agirrebenia may come from rival sides of Echegoyan, but know each other well as a result and can be trusted to not spark problems at the back. Both come from prolific youth academies, and the latter is being touted as the next big thing in Astograthian defense. His partner at the back, Isasi, has worked hard to come into the spotlight and is one the strongest young player at the up-and-coming Athletic Club Olarria. Ziaurriz is the youngest starter, but a very dependable right-back and a proud representative of a club that somehow survives mainly on homegrown players.

Also from Oyardo is quick left-back Xurdin Inkera, and Errozarana represents the demanding Royal Rumiatzi school of defense. Salabert, ineligible for Iturributa, comes from the renowned Sporting and is expected to make himself felt in coming years, if not immediately. On the back of their solidity at the back, one would wonder as to how wise it is to call up a defender from Athletic Club Rumiatzi, but the intrepid Yarke has shown plenty of merit at the capital's second-biggest side.

#6 - DM – Burutzagi Bidaiyat (C) - Age 21 - Image Edmonton United – 22 senior caps, 1 goal
#15 - DM – Chordon Endara - Age 21 - Royal Association
#11 - LM – Botzayoriz Doxagart - Age 21 - The Army Club
#17 - LM – Aurre Ilarri - Age 19 - Gesterlake FC
#7 - RM – Gerazan Itzarre - Age 20 - Ituraitz FC
#20 - RM - Ihazintu Monkaut - Age 19 - Lermendia FC
#8 - AM - Ekhi Subies - Age 21 - Ituraitz Victory - 3 senior caps
#14 - AM – Koldobika Benitzazin - Age 21 - Echegoyan FC
Burutzagi Bidaiyat, undoubtedly the best player of this generation, takes up the armband coming off a disappointing run for Astograth in World Cup 62. The fantastically named Botzayoriz Doxagart, a regular player for the resilient Army Club, lines up on the left wing, as does Ituraitz FC starlet Itzarre on the right. Subies, capped by Munduarte at the 3rd Brevity Cup, will act as playmaker behind the strikers. Endara, also eligible for Iturributa, is an alternative to Bidaiyat, while Ilarri boldly represents the underachieving Gesterlake FC and, by extension, the entire Araxes region. Monkaut, from the modest Lermendia, eyes Itzarre's spot, while the talented Benitzazin loses out narrowly in the advanced midfielder position.

#9 - CF - Gaztea Garaikoechea - Age 20 - Urbizania Wanderers
#10 - CF - Bixente Erdozain - Age 19 - Ituraitz FC
#18 - CF - Selatze Kasko - Age 20 - Royal Association
#22 - CF - Bitor Barragan - Age 18 - Athletic Club Rumiatzi
None of the strikers are proven, though they all bring different styles to the table. Garaikoechea is quick and a good dribbler but much too inaccurate in the shot, and regrettably injury-prone. Erdozain's shooting, meanwhile, is superb, but he can't pick out a pass to save his life and is sorely lacking in positional awareness. Kasko knows how to put himself in the right place at the right time, but is then often lacking in confidence and vision to take advantage of it. Barragan, despite being the youngest, is the largest and heaviest, scoring through his physical presence; however, he is tactically incompetent and is all over the pitch, which doesn't help when he isn't fast to begin with. No matter who he picks, Munduarte has a lot of work to do up front...

Captain: Burutzagi Bidaiyat
Free Kick Taker: Burutzagi Bidaiyat
Penalty Taker: Ekhi Subies
Right Corner: Botzayoriz Doxagart
Left Corner: Burutzagi Bidaiyat

王静. "The Quiet King." That is my name. Or, in the conventional tongue, Jing Wang. I didn't pick "Wang", you know. It's not called a family name for nothing. My parents decided to give me the 静, meaning "quiet", because I didn't cry when I was born. In fact, doctors were not sure if I was alive because I made like n noise whatsoever. To this day, I have never cried. Or screamed. Or yelled. I talk very softly, quietly, making sure to speak slowly so that people can understand me.

Nobody can tell what is wrong with me or why it is that I can't make any loud noises. Or why I hate loud noises. I hate the cities, I hate sirens. I hate loud music. Silence is in fact the greatest symphony, and I prefer things to be... silent.

Perhaps this is the reason that people do not understand why I am such a... good? Goalkeeper in football. I don't know how to explain the fact that although I hate loud sounds, being in a football stadium full of thousands of people all screaming is completely fine with me. I don't know how to make them understand that when I am in the zone of playing, nothing else matters except for the people that try to get the ball past me and myself, along with my teammates who communicate things to me. It's like I zone out and let every other noise not affect me.

My mother and I discovered this when I was eight, and I've been living off of it ever since. Played through high school, won a few titles. Started watching Jonah Calhoun and Terrance Housen, along with the Cotdelapomais Berthiaume. Until I got a call. To join the U-21 team... And go to Starblaydia.

The last cup was a nightmare of sorts. Didn't do so well. Let the other sounds get to me. Didn't get into the zone. But I've been meditating, I've been learning, I've been searching...

And now, it may be time to make the world go 静 again. To make the world's noise fade and just have the ball and me matter.

I am 王静. And this is my time to shine.

Darkness falls on Berlin. Despite the lack of natural light, lamposts fail to flicker to life. The city is akin to a ghost town. Not a single soul in sight, almost not a single noise audible. Walking alone in what was once the vibrant city centre, is a middle-aged man, clad in a camel coat and scarf, with a fedora on his head. He starts whistling a tune, and then begins snapping his fingers. All around him, rubble, burned buildings and stray animals form the landscape.

2 months ago, the Burchadingan Civil War arrived at its final chapter. The resistance, led by former Prime Minister and now reluctant rebellion leader, Markus Rastenburg, had reached Berlin, the seat of Hans-Ulrich Fegelein's tyrannical regime. A week long bombing of the city had reduced it to ruins, killing tens of thousands innocent civilians, despite the resistance's ultimately feeble attempt at limiting the amount of carnage. Fegelein's loyalists, the only ones left with enough stupidity to continue fighting, made it as difficult as possible. Rastenburg and his commanders had no choice. The regret will linger on forever, but what's been done, is done.

It's just another day in the office for Tomas Howes, barman at Die Madchen, one of the most popular establishments in Berlin prior to the war, and one of the rare ones that made it through almost unscathed by the fighting. He picks up a beer glass, wiping it clean while humming a tune. The obese but friendly Saxonian in his 50s puts the glass down, and looks up to survey the room. As the only bar still in business, the place is filled to its capacity 24/7. Different people have different reasons for coming. Some just come to have a drink, others to meet up with friends, but most come to drown all the sorrow and all too clear memories of the war with a few good shots of alcohol. The door opened. Tomas recognised the man, and called for him to come over to the counter, the barman's powerful voice heard by everybody in the room.

"Siggy! Come here take a seat!"

Siegfried Stahler, a 48 year old high school teacher, affectionately known as Siggy by his friends, took off his fedora and gave a beaming smile, and motioned towards the counter, taking a seat next to two friends; Harald Oppermann and Jurgen Gebhardt.

"Evenin' gentlemen!"
"Siggy! How's your day been!"
"Decent I guess. Was helping out at Hitzslperger during the afternoon. Terrible mess they're in. Was in Bellof for a few weeks too, which would explain my absence!"

Tomas smiled. "Well it's good to have you back Siggy! You'll have your usual I assume?"
"Yeah, gimme the usual."

Jurgen, the youngest of the four companions, looked towards Siggy's hat. "Why the hell are you still wearing that contraption? You look like a bloody mafia boss ye know that!"
"Hah! Well, maybe I am!"

The four men grinned as Tomas handed Siggy his beer. Harald downed the last of his Bloody Mary and turned his gaze to Siggy.

"Tomas! One more please thanks. So! Siggy! I'm sure you've heard of the news?"
"Which news?"
"The news regarding 11 grown men kicking a round ball on a pitch of grass?"
"Football? Oh... No actually. What's up? Have they got round to reforming the leagues yet?"
"Nope! Guess what! We're in the Di Bradini Cup!"

Siggy, in the middle of swallowing his drink, almost spat everything out. He started laughing, his white teeth in full show.

"The DBC! We don't even have a bloody league at the moment and we're in the DBC!!? Who's gonna bloody play!?"
"Nobody knows actually, I..."
"Actually we're supposed to be getting news on that soon," interrupted Tomas. "The paperman will be here any moment with an extra."
Jurgen smiled. "Paperman? Is that even a word?"
Tomas scowled at the 25 year old, who had fought in the war on the Eastern Front. "I don't know the bloody name so shut up!"
Jurgen's mouth revealed a beaming smile. He turned his attention to Siggy. "So, Siggy! What do you make of it?"
"What do you mean?"
"Well..." Jurgen hesitated. He couldn't find the word he was looking for. "Just what do you make of our entry!"
"Well I mean it's great that we'll be playing some football again, but who's gonna watch? More than half the country still doesn't have TV access, and more importantly, who's going to play? Pretty much the entire team...", he hesitated. "Died. Or at the very best lost limbs or something. You know when you think about it, it's a shame our football ended when it did. We were on the way to actually achieving something in world football. That 3rd place in the AOCAF remember? The sheer euphoria of that cup run, the possibility of actually winning it... We'll never forget that. Fuck, if Fegelein did anything right, it was football. But you know what? I'm glad we're in the DBC. I can't believe we've never been in one before. Imagine them boys... The original boys...", he stuttered. "Markus. Wil. Max. Hans." As the names of the members of the very first Die Adler squad poured out of the schoolteacher's mouth, tears began shedding. The mullet and passion of Maximilian Fischer, the front-line partnership of Wilhelm Sigmundson and the legendary Markus Klogh. Remembering the latter, in particular, sent a shiver through the spines of the 4 men.
Jurgen smiled. "I was still in high school when they entered the BoF and World Cup Qualifiers. I remember that fondly. They'll always be heroes Siggy. And well, we all know that if it had been them, the DBC would have been ours without any effort!"
"You wish!" Siggy answered jokingly.

The door opened. A man with a motorcycle helmet walked in. He walked straight to the counter, and handed over a newspaper to Tomas.

"Evenin', here's the extra you ordered."
Tomas took the paper, and unwrapped it to see the headline. He grinned. "Alright thanks! Say fellas here's what we wanted to see!"

Di Bradini Cup Roster Announced

The entrance of Burchadinger into the prestigious Di Bradini Cup for the very first time has received a generally euphoric reception from the nation's populace. For many years, football fans all over the country have wondered time and time again when the country would finally send a team to what is widely recognised as the Under-21 World Cup. 14 years after Markus Klogh kicked a ball in Nethertopia and set the foundations for Burchadingan football, a new era of football for the nation begins with the 25th Di Bradini Cup. Of course, it won't be Die Adler kicking balls in Starblaydia. The competition will mark the international debut for the Burchadingan Under-21s, better known as Der Wunderteam. However, one question has seemingly plagued the country. Who will be representing Der Wunderteam in Starblaydia in the coming months?

Despite coming into existence around the same time as the senior national team, the Under-21s have never been involved in official international competitions. Der Wunderteam's outings have all come in unofficial friendlies that do not hold any place in official records and minor regional tournaments. Several attempts to enter the Di Bradini Cup in the past had failed, for a variety of reasons. The closest Der Wunderteam came to making it was under the Fegelein regime following the senior team's AOCAF success in Kagdazka and Pazhujebu. Obviously, this attempt ultimately collapsed due to the war. This year, seemingly nothing will stop Burchadinger's young starlets from showing what they can do.

Those who followed the Under-21s trials and tribulations prior to the war will not recognise the DBC squad that has been assembled my Sports Minister Joachim Locke. Many players who had played for the Under-21s before the war lost their lives fighting for either side of the Civil War. Many others will never play again due to major injuries, whilst some are simply overage and can no longer play on the Under-21 stage. 1 player from the pre-war team has however made it to the squad. Goalkeeper Thomas Hohmann, now aged 21, will be on the flight to Starblaydia, and is expected to captain the side, if only due to his previous experience. Already an excellent shot stopper, Hohmann has the potential to mature into a world-class goalkeeper. One of his major failings however, comes from his distribution. Although his shots possess a lot of power, he possesses almost no sense of accuracy or control of where the ball goes, often times sending the ball right into the hands of his counterpart on the other side of the pitch. Statistically, Hohmann had the worst pass success rate in the Burchadingan Premier League's final season.

The only other players with any experience representing Burchadinger at any level are left-back Thorsten Ortmann and central midfielders Adrian Branescu and Ralf Engert. All three have played for the Burchadinger Under-17s at some point in their careers. Ortmann is a very attacking-minded fullback, possessing a good on-the-ball and crossing ability. Coupled with his high amount of stamina and his almost sprinter-like pace, Ortmann has proven to be deadly in the Burchadingan Super League, helping his club up to the Premier League. He hasn't been able to prove his worth in the top division yet due to the war, but he is definitely one to watch and could possibly a key component in any possible Burchadingan success. Branescu, once the Under-17 captain, is a defensive midfielder who will give his 110% game after game, possessing huge drive and energy. He does, however, possess a rather 'dirty' discipline record, and has picked up an undesirable reputation as a dirty player. Indeed, Branescu is a player who will go sliding in or be excessively aggressive with his tackles, but the potential is there for him to mature into an excellent destroyer. His partner in the usual 2-man central midfield for the Under-17s was Ralf Engert. Engert is similar to Branescu in that he's a player who will work his socks off every game. Engert however is more of a box-to-box midfielder, using his energy well to start the attack. Defensively, he is very good, able to provide the crucial tackles and interceptions. Branescu and Engert however share a common weakness. Their passing ability has often been criticised, and it will be interesting to see if this will be exploited in Starblaydia.

The rest of the squad is largely comprised of those who played at school level, high-school students who were the stars of their respective schools prior to the civil war. Not much is known about these players other than their names, which are listed along with the 4 players mentioned above in the list below. With the majority of the squad being completely unproven teenage students, it'll be interesting to see how Der Wunderteam fare against other teams, many of whom have players who are already full professionals.

Interestingly, the Football Association has yet to name a coach/manager. Locke was quoted as saying an announcement would be made by the end of the week. The most obvious candidates such as the previous incumbent, Theodor Bormann aren't in the running due to their involvement in the ongoing war trials. It will be interesting to see who the Burchadingan FA entrust the Under-21 team with. Could it be an 'unknown'? Quite possibly.

Harald put down the paper, looking slightly confused. "Well for starters, I have no bloody idea who any of these people are! Except Hohmann and Branescu, they're complete unknowns for me!"
Jurgen nodded in agreement. "Same here! We're kinda screwed I would think!"
Siggy gave a slight smile, and looked towards his two friends. "Hey I know some of these guys. They're my students!"
"Yeah? They any good?" asked Tomas.
"Timothy's good, if a little bit selfish. Karl's head is golden, and Alexandru had a growing reputation before the war. I've heard of some of the others too. Had my team play against some of em'."
Jurgen grinned. "Say, why don't you go apply for the manager's job!"
Tomas agreed. "Yeah since you know so much you could be the man they need!"
Siggy smiled. "Nah, they won't go for someone like me. If they even know me that is! Professional trainers and tacticians are the name of the game, it would be suicide to go for some random schoolteacher! We'll see what they come up with..."

Bears Armed

National football organisation: ‘Bears Armed Association for Soccer’ (= ‘BAAS’).
(Chairbear: Arrannah Graye [Chairbear of River City S.C.])
National anthem (for sports): ‘The Banner Green And Gold’.

All of the players are actual Ursines (i.e. anthropomorpic, bipedal Bears)], and thsi time aroudn they are all drawn from the ranks of a single 'Junior League' team _ The 'Sun Valley SunBeams'.
According to Bears Armed’s timeline, this Cup is taking place in 2084AD.

Manager & Chief Coach: Hirrdhra o TrueHeart
(female Ursine; Clan = BerryGlades; age = 44 years, left-pawed, fur = medium-brown with [natural] ‘strawberry’ highlights; seems to have a knack for anticipating opponents’ actions; also qualified as a Dream Interpreter. She made her international debut in DBC18, as a starting Midfielder & the Captain, shifting to Lynchpin -- & still Captain – in DBC19 (although some of you may also remember her as a spectator from WC54) before transferring to the main team... stayed with the Bear-Belles through to the end of their WC61 run, in the latter years as the team’s Captain ... and was then Deputy manager (Coaching) jfor3 years [WC62 qualifiers & Cup] after already having been player-manager at her home team (Merlchester Rovers, where she played as a Midfielder or Defender [usually at ‘Lynchpin’]) for five years before this; playing experience = 31 years, managerial experience = 8 years.

Deputy Manager (Admin): Amarra Marra o Harruor
(female Ursine, from Clan Harruor Erruur; formerly a staff member at BAAS, appointed to this job just before DBC21; age = 43, fur = medium-brown).

Doctor: Rebearrch’hra o RedRose
(female Ursine, from the RedRose ‘Free Sept’; age = 48, left-pawed, fur = medium brown with reddish highlights; hired just before DBC21.)

Physiotherapist: Behrthye NorthWalker
(female Harr’aynau [humanoid], from Clan WildWoods; age = 44, right-handed, hair = ginger; hired just before DBC21.)

Routemaster (this job involves handling all of the squad’s travelling arrangements): This is currently a part of Amarra Marra o Harruor’s duties.

Chaplain, ‘One Plus Seven’: Urrsulha Nightfall
(female Ursine from the Silver-of-Night; age = mid-40s, left-pawed, fur = silvery; assigned to this job, by the Great Medicine Society, just before the qualifiers for WC57.)

Chaplain, Ursion: Derrik Ommin
(male Ursine, from Clan Artorran; age = 50; right-pawed, fur = light brown & fairly short, he is a bit closer to ‘human’ in shape than is the average Ursine; seconded to this post from the staff of the ArchPriest of New Sarrum, who is the Earthly head of the Ursion Church; he is a keen student of Football, both nationally & internationally, and can bore for England Bears Armed on the details of teams’ records & players’ careers [and about the statistics involved, too: Did I mention yet that he originally trained as a statistician? ^_^ ] — if you give him even half a chance…)

Security Chief: Major Arran Warrd
(male Ursine, from Clan Herrchaum; age = 49, left-pawed, fur = dark grey; easily overlooked, most of the time; seconded from [an unspecified unit within] the Confederal Army to this job just before the qualifiers for WC57.) This will be his last tournament in the job.

Caterers: Jorrdon Blue.

‘Mascot’: ‘The Wise Grorrfinn’
(male ‘TrueBear’; age = undisclosed [but considering some of his appearances in old stories apparently somewhere over 1’500, at least...], ambidextrous, fur = medium-brown) (During WC54 it was revealed that he is the maternal grandfather of Urra ‘Honey’ SunBlesséd.)

Roster

(details to follow)

Usual Starters =
Usual Substitutes =

___________________________________________________________________________

Style: Offensive, modifier = +3.5… ("A good offence is the best defence"...)
Their usual formation will include a front row of at least 5 (normally arranged as 3 strikers & 2 wingers), with 2 midfielders, 2 backs, and either a ‘Defensive Centre’ (whose starting position would be at the midpoint of an imaginary cross drawn between those other four non-forwards’ positions) or a third midfielder depending on the Manager’s decision before each match.

Opponents may _

Choose my goalscorers: Y (but the Forwards, and then the Wingers, are likeliest to fill this role...)
Godmod Scoring Events: Y

RP injuries to my players / Godmod injuries to my players / Hand out Yellow cards to my players / Hand out Red cards to my players: Y to all, at least to start with, but remember what I've written here and keep it in limits accordingly... Any serious offences by my players would probably result in injuries to your players, and causing any serious injuries to my players would probably require such obviously-deliberate attacks that your players would get yellow or even red cards as a result too. Don’t kill anybody, or inflict injuries that would be serious enough to end careers, without checking with me & getting my approval (which is unlikely to be granted…) first.

Godmod Other Events: Y, I suppose, at least as long as you do so in an AMUSING way... but please remember that Ursines are fully sapient beings, as much as Humans are, not instinct-driven animals. Oh, and of course female Ursines are not sexually interested in Humans (of either sex), and it's very unlikely that female Harr'ayanau would be either. Please don't have them run amok or outright revert to animality, without checking by TG first, don't make assumptions about their views on politics or religion, and don't do anything that would make more than one of them incapable of playing in their next game...

Kit: This incarnation of the team will wear the usual set of designs (from ‘ediraf’) that the Bear-Belles have favoured in the past, with the ‘Association’ badges correctly staying ‘BAAS’ rather than [the now obsolete] ‘BAMAS’. See "here" for details.
Bears Armed has traditionally used base-8 arithmetic, for several reasons, and this has affected the set of numbers used for this team’s players: The number “22” has traditionally been left unassigned out of respect for its first [& only] wearer who died a heroine’s death during the year immediately following WC44, and now the number "10" has likewise been withdrawn from use…

NOTES

Ursines may tend to be a bit less agile & slower to accelerate than humans on average, but this team's members were carefully selected so the gap between them & their opponents in this respect should be narrower than some people might expect. They do tend to have [slightly] poorer eyesight than humans, on the whole (although the members of both Clan Gunnar and the Sun Clan are generally an exception to this rule, and the eyesight of the latter group is actually often at [slightly] better-than-human levels instead), so long-distance passes & shots at goal will tend to be rarer behaviour for them than they are for human teams... but their typical size & strength mean that when they're running with the ball it will probably take a very brave human — as well as a very skilled one — to tackle them successfully (or, at least, one who has reasonable experience of playing against Ursines…), which should balance that factor pretty well. They don’t jump very well, but then they’re generally rather taller than most Human players to start with so they shouldn’t need to jump as often in order to intercept [relatively] high shots...
Ursines are physically robust, of course, which means that they're much less likely than humans are to suffer injuries in falls or collisions. The females of this species are more even-tempered than the males, and the team's members will try to stay on their best behaviour not only in order to do well in this contest but also to impress upon the watching humans that Ursines aren't just "dumb beasts". They will not 'dive', or feign injury in other ways, because suggesting that they could be harmed so easily goes strongly against the grain. ‘Northlanders’ are maybe not quite as "civilised" as the 'Mainlanders'… or, at any rate, that’s the traditional stereotype..
Cold weather should pose no problem to them, even if there's snow or ice on the pitch, but tropical heat might prove awkward...

This team's members (including the designated substitutes for the match in question) will perform a [fairly short] ritual that's called the 'harrdiharr' on the pitch just before play begins... This is a traditional war-dance, meant to over-awe opponents, that has come to be a customary prelude for team games as well (similar to the [RL] New Zealanders' 'haka'...). : )
As has now been seen during various tournaments, some of our fans like to take drums — and possibly also 'Urrs-horns' [which are similar to Alpenhorns, cow-horns, or other "musical instruments", too — along to the matches…

The team is accompanied by a number of sapient Ravens, who are there both to gather information about the rival sides and to provide air cover in case of hostile waterfowl.[/size]
The Confrederated Clans (and other Confrederated Bodys) of the Free Bears of Bears Armed
(includes The Ursine NorthLands) Demonym = Bear[s]; adjective = ‘Urrsish’.
Population = just under 20 million. Economy = only Thriving. Average Life expectancy = c.60 years. If the nation is classified as 'Anarchy' there still is a [strictly limited] national government... and those aren't "biker gangs", they're traditional cross-Clan 'Warrior Societies', generally respected rather than feared.

Notes:

People from Warkus are known as Warku.

The team is very offensive in terms of their style of play. This includes their defence, which means that they can occasionally cause a few injuries. Despite this, the team isn't known for dirty play. They consider things such as diving to be pathetic and insulting to the perpetrator's own skill, showing that they are rubbish without cheating. Victor Vos, the manager, is a cult hero within Warkus. Vos was, in fact, a pretty decent player, but has been considered to be wasted potential. However, he didn't match up to the greats of the world, although fans would say he did. Fans will often compare Vos with greats such as Juan Tzimisces, Simeone Di Bradini and Ug-Ug. Please do not take offence at this, as Victor Vos is regarded to be one of the best players to have lived, despite his poor record and average skills.
