Giovenith wrote:"I understand. A few have devoted themselves to the easier tasks of trying to block their Influence from any followers. And if you wish to join, it is entirely your own choice," she explained. "My Mother is not in charge of this war, she... hmmm... heard the commotion, jumped into the squabble, and is now trying to hold down the kid's arm while Athena tries to wrestle the knife away and Loki tries to get a good aim to kick him in the head. So to speak." She chuckled a bit, though there was cynicism behind it.

"If it's Loki, Athena should remember to duck," Swith grinned.

She reflected more upon the situation. "Gods? One would join for the sake of battle. One would stand across the room and throw scraps of paper in the hope that the wind would somehow cause a papercut to his foe, one would sit on the sidelines and clap his hands as the corpses piled higher, and the final and youngest one... I foresee the potential for these children to destroy perfection, thus the youngest would become involved. The youngest might rally the eldest but the middle two have their own agendas. Perhaps they'd involve themselves in the quest to block influence, but it would be for selfish gain. The next best thing would be to jump to the gods that oppose the these four but I really couldn't tell you how they would approach the threat. The entire pantheon really is a clusterf*ck when you think about it."

Swith put down her teacup. "Alright. I'm in. What do you need me to do?"

When Bran walked in, he found a Red Line Officer standing next to a hunched over Ranger. As he entered, he spun around. "And who are you?! The comedian's boyfriend?! Put your hands up!" He ordered. Another Red Line Officer, who as standing at the door immediately shut it behind Bran. There was no escape. The Officer had one of those faces that screamed stupidity as he smoked a cigar. As Bran was cuffed, the Ranger stood up straight. "Alright, lay off. Ugh, I'll come quietly." She said. Suddenly, as the other Officer was trying to frisk her, she socked him the jaw. The other one moved for her but was stopped by a swift kick to the man purse. "COME ON, FOLLOW ME!" She shouted as she opened the door for him.

"Swithyyyyyyyyyy..." groaned Giovenith, suddenly poking her head up. "If you go, you have to go for long, like Mama and siblings did." She looked distressed at the idea.

"It is Miss Swith's choice, dear," said Aeritha simply.

"Buuuuuuuut..."

"No but's or whining."

"BUUUUUUUUT..."

Aeritha ignored her younger sister. "There are many ways you could help. You could do simple things like block their Influence, drive off any stray members of their's that come onto the mortal land for whatever reason, or, more complex things, like trying to unweave their powers from the more significant branches of reality's Flow, fend off those of them who would try to prevent the unweaving attempts... that is what me and my brothers were doing before I was sent home. So now only Pearlelei and her Hadenyx's are left from our side, though I suppose it's not really too detrimental of a loss."

"What about Swithy's tale..." inquired Giovenith. It was becoming apparent that many of her and her sister's conversations went this way.

"Don't worry, Giovenith," Swith leaned forward and touched her cheek, gently stroking it with her thumb. "Swith... the manifestation of me contained in this body... won't be going anywhere. There are small splinters of me scattered through a great many dimensions."

She focused on Aeritha again, her face unreadable. "I work quietly and quickly and I do not enjoy engaging in combat. Swith's cup was half full and she finished the remains of her tea, savoring the sweet taste. "If Pearlelei sings to me, I'll come to her call."

"Sounds satisfying." said Aeritha.

Giovenith nodded solemnly.

"Of course, there is always the possibility of Mother coming here as well," thought Aeritha out loud. "So it would do good to tell you signs if that comes to happen. You have already seen Giovenith's spiritual picture of her, yes, but usually when wandering freely in the mortal world Pearlelei goes by the alias, Christina Jerid. Christina is seen wearing a woman's business suit, and has pale skin and medium-length brown hair... though I'm sure you'd be able to sense her without a description."

"Pearlelei, walking amongst the mortals here?" Swith's eyes became glossy and she closed them. She drew a refreshing breath and smiled. "It would be a honor to welcome her into..."

Swith looked around the dining room, the smile slipping from her face like an egg from a Teflon pan. Broken furniture cluttered the room and the walls still bore the blood of the Girl Scout Mafia.

"Well," she growled. "I suppose we need to spruce the place up."

"When she arrives, I will welcome Christina Jerid with open arms," Swith vowed. "Actually, I feel badly about your own arrival. I had planned a feast in your honor and asked Cuisine if he would mind cooking. Things became so busy that we never did get around to it. Perhaps tonight or the next?"

EDIT
Swith excused herself because she was now running late to her appointment. She left out of the building and crossed the street. The real estate agent was already standing in front of the building across the way.

"Good evening, Mr. Perry," she said. She asked for a tour of the facility (although she'd already used a portal to do so the day prior) and politely pointed out flaws that would drive the price of the building down. Swith, by nature, was a vicious haggler. An offer was made on the spot, which was accept by the current owners, and Swith was handed the keys.

She let herself back in and proceeded to "Dab proof" the entire structure, drawing on dark forces to protect the building and toggle the fabric of the universe to make it portable in a pinch. Another portal revealed clever minions and top of the line restaurant equipment and furnishings. In less than two hours, the restaurant was set up. All that was needed was a staff.

She stepped outside and turned around, smiling as the new sign was hoisted into place by her two favorite champions. It was a lovely thing, really. It simply stated the name of the restaurant...

CHAOS

She returned to the building and hollered for Cuisine.

"Well that didn't go as well as it could've"

Bran stood there while being cuffed, the bastards didn't even get to hear Bran's ploy that probably would've kind of worked. He looked around the room for anything to do and figured that this was the begining of the end for him, he'd seen first hand what happened to people arested in Police states. Now, any option was a viable one to escape. He looked at the ranger as she punched the man in the jaw and ran out the door after delivering swift justice to the other's crotch. Bran ran out the door after her wondering why the others hadn't broken down the door to save him . . .

Meanwhile At the justice league Back at the apartment:

Natiya awoke with a groan as she hoisted herself off of the floor, she looked around for the coffee machine and began to hobble over to it with more determination than one has ever witnissed. She noticed Swith, Gio, and Aeritha chatting by the door but Natiya didn't give two craps about them at the moment, for she needed her morning coffee.

MB's ears flicked, hearing Swith calling. He waved them back and forth to get Cuisine's attention, and pointed outside.

Looking outside, the tall chef raised an eyebrow, and then lumbered toward the door. MB stared after him, wondering if he should tell Cuisine the man was covered in glittering stone dust and now looked like Edward Cullen on steroids, but figured it would be funnier to let him go ahead. Slinking outside stealthily in Cuisine's wake, MB trailed after him, hoping to see the reaction.

"How apropos!" Swith's face lit up in glee as she watched Cuisine come down the stairs, a sparkling cooking god that trailed swirling clouds of glitter in his wake.

She waited for him to join her on the sidewalk. "Cuisine, I have a business proposition for you. I've decided to open up a restaurant and I need a head chef. Do you think you're up for it? When Naomi returns, she can manage everything else in my absence, and I'm sure we'll have no problems with the staff, but I need your help. You interested?"

"She's STILL not dead?!" exclaimed Belphegor, who was sitting at the kitchen table with a stop-watch. "She's been in there for thirty-five minutes already, what the fuck?! Suffocate already!" He crossed his arms, then glanced at Superbia. "What are you looking at? Go eat your damn food, mortal!"

*Turns to Belphegor* "You must obviously not know who I am, either that you wouldn't be calling me a "mortal", instead you'll be calling me..* transforms into this*... Minorem Sextus Supurbia."

OOC: Yes, i drew that...4 years ago.

"Oh myeh, myeh myeh!" mocked Belphegor, making the "talking" hand gesture, clearly unimpressed. "Whatever, "Nemo Sexy Superman," or whatever your name is, just get out of my view."

"His name is Minorem Sextus Supurbia!" snapped Giovenith, her voice muffled by the fridge.

"Shut-up and die already, Dragon-Spawn!" Belphegor snapped right back, tossing a fridge magnet at the huge cooler box.

OOC: It's still nice. :3

*looks at the bread then at Belphegor, then puts the bread down* "Ya know, I never had the chance to eat a demon before.. I wonder how it tastes?" *he said with a grin*

Natiya looked over and sighed. "I don't even know why I live here . . . And I left my eggsalad in there!"

Bran's sister ran over to the fridge to make sure her eggsalad was in fact ok.
