A Preivew of the Campionato Esportiva

The defending champion Thrilledge Dreadlocks have arrived in Cyborg Holland where the quest for back-to-back championships will begin tomorrow. Drawing Asadur, Dandillis, Wednesday Evening, Swyftlandre, and arch rival Byfugland, the Dreads are in Group D and are scheduled as so...

MD1: vs Dandillis
MD2: vs Wednesday Evening
MD3: vs Asadur
MD4: vs Byfugland
MD5: vs Swyftlandre

The matchup everyone has their eyes on is, of course, the Battle of Zollnando (WHICH IS OUR RIVER!) against Byfugland. As Byfugland tries to burst on to the scene in the soccer world, we will be right there to stop them. Asadur is back after going 3-1-1 and falling in the semifinals in the last Campionato. The bring a tough team again and we get them right in the heart of the schedule. The other veteran is Dandillis who qualified for the playoffs last edition and was taken down by Ares-y-Penthesilea. We drew them for our first matchup. We also did get a preview of them as well.

In a pre-qualifying friendly against Dandillis, the Dreads looked good in many areas of the game as the two teams tied 1-1. The Dreads struck early as Stan Warwick shot a laser into the goal from just outside the box in the 4th minute. Dandillis put in the equalizer on a header by a wide open Gigantobunny after a defensive lapse. Another weak area shown by the Dreads today was their toughness. I mean for crying out loud J.D. Davidson got beat up by a bunny. It will be interesting to see who benefited more from this friendly as the two teams meet again tomorrow for the first match of the third Campionato Esportiva.

A Death Note in Sakhovelo - A Campionato Esportiva III Story
Inspired by the Manga and Anime series DEATH NOTE

Shinigami Realm

Suké (Soo-key) sat above the human world adjusting his Skull Helmet, his spare Death Note sitting at his feet. He had often been condemned by the other Gods of Death, for working too hard, but that was just the nature of the God's. Gamble on a endless cycle and maybe throw in a bit of murder to expand their life, it was enjoyable...once upon a time. But now the cycle got to making Suké feeling that life was destitute. Who could blame him for wanting a little fun once in a while, it was almost as if he meant to drop his Death Note.

Royal Stadium Changing Rooms - Apox v. Swyftlandre

Finnbarr Lachlan

"This is bullcrap! We lose 3-1 to Apox, and over what, fucking Nancy over there, too scared to kick a fucking ball!" Lachlan made the accusation, red with anger. It had been his nature to lose his temper over a game, but this time was different, the team had made a joke of themselves all across Esportiva. And as his team-mate raised his middle finger, he lunged at Séamus Dion, screaming,
"I'll fucking kill you"

He could have knocked seven bells out of the man, had his team not held him back. One half of the squad shouting insults at Finnbarr while the over made reassuring comments about the team. As for Séamus, he just saw it fit to raise his finger again. Finnbarr broke from the teams arms, this time heading for the door, making sure to slam it with full force as he left.

The ground in Apox was certainly unfamiliar to Lachlan, who had never made the trip outside his hotel the previous night, he found his way to a small park, where he perched himself on a bench overlooking a lake. The sight calmed him, although his hatred for Séamus, which had grown from when they used to play together for Wyng Primary School, only aided in reminding him he was angry. A good five minutes went by before anything eventful happened. A bird decidedly dive-bombed into the lake, except, on closer inspection, it wasn't a bird, it was a book. Across the front cover of the book were the words,
Death Note

Lachlan laughed at it first, the novelty of a book falling from the sky, probably from a helicopter or something. But when he looked up, there was nothing, nor had he heard the sound of a helicopter, nor was there a smoke trail left by a Passenger Jet. But what astounded him more was the title of the book, Death Note, probably a child's book or something along those lines. But for some odd reason, he felt attracted to the book, as if it were calling his name and sure enough, he accepted the call, jumping into the lake to retrieve the book.

When he rose from the lake, he saw a familiar face looking down on him, that of Ciar Tigernach. One of the only members of the squad he didn't hold a grudge against yet. Ciar laughed at him as he retreated from the lake, offering him a hand up.
"Seems a little odd, jumping in for a book. You sure you're all right mate?"
"Uh, yeah, whatever. Does something about the quality of this book strike you as odd?"
"You've lost it, mate. A book is a book...nothing more to it."
"Except for that it's completely dry perhaps."
"It's just a strange coincidence, probably one of those weird science things. Best leave that to the scientists. Anyway, you coming or not, we're leaving for Sakhovelo tonight."

"Lachlan..."
But Lachlan had lost interest with Ciar, the book had taken his interest. The rules of the Death Note, detailed on the first page. It seemed quite detailed for it to just be a piece of fiction, but Ciar was right, it was just a book. But why not play along, maybe he could release his stress with this before the flight. He was sure to kill Séamus anyway, he said to himself in a joking manner.

"You got a pen?"
"What now?" Ciar groaned
"I said, have you got a pen."
"Um...I've got a pencil, will that do."
"Sure, hand it over."

Lachlan threw open the first page of the Death Note, scribbled down the name of Séamus Dion and closed the book before heading back. Once they had caught the bus and were heading for the airport, Ciar's phone rang, he held it to his ear first, but upon realized the graveness of the issue, he put the phone on Loud Speaker.
"Did you hear me Ciar! Get here quickly, Séamus, he just had a heart attack, we're heading to the hospital as we speak, but it's not looking good...Ciar...Ciar?!"

Ciar cancelled the call then turned to Lachlan, a grave look in his eyes, "This may be a little farfetched, but you wrote Séamus' name in there, right."
"Yeah, but...it has to be a coincident...it just has to be! It can't be my fault!" Lachlan explained, before breaking down into tears.

The Slembana Times: Campionato Esportiva preview

By Dean Hándëll, football reporter

Here is a preview of the third Campionato Esportiva, held in Cyborg Holland and Sakhovelo. We are in Group A, played in Sakhovelo, alongside these five teams:
1. Cyborg Holland
Cyborg Holland are one of the co-hosts, so we expect them to give us the most trouble here. They are no longer taking place in World Cup Cycle-sanctioned tournaments, and have not sent a strong team to this tournament, but we still think they will beat us. Score: 3-1 to Cy.
2. 19th Century Beards
19th Century Beards finished second at the last CE. In addition, our team coach passed through the country on the way to Sakhovelo. However, we still don't think they'll beat us. We think we will gain a 1-1 draw against them.
3. Equatorial Sarmen
We don't know how long Equatorial Sarmen have been on the international football stage for, but we think they are in the top 100 for the KPB rankings. We still that we will beat them by the score of 3-2.
4. Islo Aiz ens Islo Dorne
IAeID is a puppet of Swyftlandre. IAeID is ruled by a benevolent dictator, benevolent meaning that he lets his citizens do whatever they want APART from challenge the government. However, their football team is unproven, and they should have been last seed. We think we will thrash IAeID by the score of 4-0, or maybe even 5-0.
5. Taijan
Taijan's citizens don't seem to be doing much at the moment. Their country will soon be destroyed if it doesn't get active again. However, anyway, we think we will beat Taijan 3-1.

Tom Lucan was sat in his office, at the Wanderers training ground in the suburbs of the Duchy’s capital. When it was announced that he was stepping into the hot seat once more, the sixty-year-old stayed very calm in front of the camera, uncharacteristically so some might say. But quietly, the man was ecstatic. A second chance to prove himself on the international stage. He knew that he deserved it, after years of work with the Whites. But here was his chance, and he wasn’t about to throw it away like he did the first time around. They may have had a stellar Baptism of Fire performance, finishing fourth, but the abysmal performance in the World Cup had lost Lucan his job.

There was a knock at the door, awakening Lucan from his thoughts. He put his pen down and walked to the door. His jaw dropped when he saw who was standing in front.

“Tom ?? Can we have a chat for a bit ??” The man at the door said.

“Nathan ?? Is that you ??” Tom said, in utter shock.

“The one, the only.” Nathan chuckled.

“Jesus Christ Nathan, you’ve got to warn me next time !!” Lucan chuckled, and hugged his friend. “How the hell are you ??”

“Doing alright Tom, alright. Much better than I thought I would at this point to be fair.”

“Good, good.” It had become almost a custom on the Islands to avoid discussing the events of the last World Cup, and Tom did this now. “Come on in, have a seat. Whisky ??”

“Cheers, but no thanks mate. I’m avoiding the stuff !!”

“Of course you are !! How’s training going ??” By now, it was common knowledge on the Islands that Nathan had returned to Celtic, ‘keeper’s gloves in hand.

“It’s going well. It’s kept me going, that’s for sure.” Nathan took a seat before continuing. “This Newdutch kid, Groenwald, is really good. I still think I’ll beat him out this year, so we can unite the three.”

“Definitely.” Tom took a sip of the whisky, and continued. “So, what was it you wanted to ask ??”

“It’s a bit of a favour really. I’ve been thinking. Coming back to Abingdon has really helped with getting over Alex, but it’s not doing enough really.” Nathan sighed, then carried on. “I was thinking... would you mind letting me join up with the national team ?? Just for the Campionato ??”

“Nathan, it would be an honour.”

“Thank you Tom. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.” The two men hugged, and then Tom went back to his seat.

“9 o’clock tomorrow. Sharp !! Now get the fuck out of here !!”

“Cheers boss !!”

“You know it Gardiner !!”

“Oi !! Gardiner Stewart.”

“Got it. Now piss off, I’ve got plans to make.”

“Got it.”
This nation has now been reformed as the Licentian Isles. Please direct anything intended for me to that nation.

DREAMS OF A GIRL
The blog of future soccer superstar Namine Nagatomo

Hey, my little Naminemaniacs! I have already stated with my agent that I'm in for international moves, but, meanwhile, my actual team, the Saint-Louis Rams (who were named in the past as the Saint-Louis Blues), managed to get a full-trip to all matches of the Marills' national team at the Campionato Esportiva III! And who else would they trust in to go there and represent the Rams at the tournament aside me and an invited guest? So, if you want to participate, post a comment on this blog and get ready to move! I, and my guest, will also tell to all you, the fans, how the tournament is rolling. In case you want to watch it, I'm pretty sure many channels of NSI will show it, such as VIVA and ITV. Good Luck, Marills!
Tails... Watch out, you're gonna crash, aaaaah!

The Qalfen Chronicle: Great friendly win

By Edward Zanther, chief football reporter

We have won a friendly before the third Campionato Esportiva 1-0 over Islo Aiz ens Islo Dorne. IAeID are in the same group as our masters, Slembana, who drew a friendly with IAeID's puppetmaster, Swyftlandre, today. This win is our first-ever on the international football stage.

The only goal was scored on 32 minutes, when our star striker, Thomas Xandélo, lashed home from 32 yards. Previously, IAeID's star striker had saw a downwards header saved by our goalkeeper, James Vax, while Moe Lutterton had hit the post for us. 1-0 to us was the half-time score - as you would expect, it was satisfactory.

In the second half, we were more dominant. Xandélo, Lutterton, Aaron Young-Banks, Wayne Vale, Alvin Vale, and even captain Homer Gúlitha came close for us, as we were totally dominating the game. IAeID had a late chance to level in the last minute, only for their left-winger to see a low shot tipped round the post by Vax, as we won 1-0.

Wednesday Hooters
Coverage of Campionato Esportiva III

The Owls have issued a squad list for their first-ever national football team as they prepare to battle for the championship of Esportiva. Player-manager Trevor Fantham (7) of Sheffield made the announcement of his 17 teammates at a press conference during team camp in Fulwood.

Forwards: Fulwood striker Derek Quigley (10) and Hillsborough's young phenom Jack Jordan (9) will provide the bulk of the scoring power. Reserve strikers include Jackie Woolhouse (16) of Rivelin and Jimmy Whitton (18) of Ecclesfield.

Midfield: Team captain Eddie Francis (11) of Rivelin will join Fantham on the flanks, with Handsworth's John Eustace (6) taking on the playmaker role and Billy Wilkinson (8) of Gleadless hanging back as a defensive midfielder. Toddles Wilson (12), a Spring Lawe winger, and Norton's central midfielder Howard Charlton (17) are both flexible enough to replace any starter.

Back Line: Handsworth captain and Clegg Trophy winner Mark Layne (5) will lead the defenders from his wingback role, paired with Hillsborough's bruising David Hooper (2) on the other wing. Fulwood's Andrew Walker (4) and Sheffield's Peter McMullan (3) anchor the center. Their supporting cast includes Stannington's Steve Dooley (15) and a surprise pick in 37-year-old Clarrie Sewell (14) from Heeley.

Nets: The nominal starter is Stannington's Chris Bolder (1), but expect the pride of Norton Bob Woods (19) to get almost equal playing time.

With the exception of Hooper and perhaps Wilkinson, the selectors seem to have valued fair play quite highly in their picks. They also selected for durability in most cases, although no one in his right mind would have omitted Walker once he was cleared for a return to play. Fantham is famous for advocacy of the 4-4-2 with both wing midfielders and wingbacks tending to press forward.

Islo Aiz ens Islo Dorne - The Underdogs chance at Victory!
Written by Sandy Holland

With only one league in the bag and no foreign experience, this is likely to be a losing experience for the people of Aiz-Dorne (Referenced as Aizers or Dornian respectively). However, the manager, Finnén Feidhlim whom also manages the winning team of the Aiz-Dorne first league, Aizenhelm Defenders said in a post friendly-match interview,
"We're certain that our loss with Qalfen was little more than a fluke. Our team was nervous and who could blame em'? But we're assured we can win."

The team had already done some squad swapping, with Shouta Burton moving over to Islo Aiz ens Islo Dorne to join the national team as well as the New Rushmore team. Below is the some interesting members of the squad the ADFC have decided to send off to Sakhovelo is detailed below.

Position:Player:Information:
GoalkeeperKenrick JoshGoalkeeper for St. Duncan's Rhinos, the man is famed for his matches, where, without fail, no ball would surpass him, even at the hands of the Aiz-Dorne football giants Aizenhelm Defenders, who had, without fail, scored at least one goal each match, except when Kenrick was involved. Unfortunately, Kenrick was drawn from the team half way through the league due to a leg injury
GoalkeeperNaomhán MatThe Mat family is of interesting descent, which is most likely known to even those who don't follow football. Why? because his Grand-dad had run and successfully attained the position of President over Islo Aiz ens Islo Dorne for two successful terms. But Naomhán is far-from politics, instead spending his life catching balls for the Aizenhelm Defenders. While he does not share an as impressive track record as Kenrick, he is still a reliable ally for any team.
DefenderDarian LaneA mediocre player at best, Darian plays for New Rushmore, probably only getting in due to his friendly-ness with the Managing staff. However, it's not all bad for Lane, who can, on rare occasions, have sparks of brilliance, sometimes accounting for 3 or 4 goals in a single match. We can only hope he finds it in himself to continue the trend.
DefenderLucas GarthAs promised, the team would allow one representitive from the U21 League and after a long voting process, Lucas Garth was chosen as that man. His skills have certainly not gone un-noticed however, with Dwaygenroark and the Aizenhelm Defenders fighting to claim him, plus a Swyftlandese team already purchasing him. While he is not brilliant at scoring, he can defiantly defend and play a convincing trick on the opposing team, making him an essential part of the team.
DefenderBevis MylesAnother brilliant addition to the team comes from the New Rushmore team, while he is usually only used in a last resort, considering the New Rushmore team is full of great Defenders, it will be a breath of fresh air for Bevis, who has been promised a spot in the first game.
DefenderCarlton JaquanIs there even any reason stating his team of origin, the New Rushmori Defender once played as a Goalkeeper for Wyeandt FC, but found his skill playing a defender when New Rushmore took him on.
DefenderAbraham KiplingAbraham reigns from the recent third-place team of Dorne City. While the team was full of potential stars, Abraham was the only mention-able one from the Defenders. With Abraham and team only conceding 1 Goal in 10 Games, if Abraham can do this again, then the team is looking like it could win
DefenderRoosevelt YorickPerhaps the best defender in the crew, Yorick actually comes from Wyngyn FC, Union Isle. Yorick is a tough customer who is reliable defensively and outstanding going forward as he regularly overlaps the midfielder before either crossing or passing the ball inside to a team-mate. His name is defiantly expected to show up plenty of times on the local press.
Mid-FielderBrennan BraidyBrennan is actually of Swyftlandese descent, but having moved to Islo Dorne at the age of seven, leaves his loyalties with the Aiz-Dorne team. He made his name in University Football, where he took his University to victory for three successive terms. This made him hot property when he moved into National League Football, but in the end, he was swept up by Aiz-Dorne and Emperor's Scepter runner up Wyeandt FC. His swift movements and unpredictable play has seen him take many goals that would often be impossible for the team. It has recently been revealed that Brennan Braidy will be the Captain of the team.
Mid-FielderPhilip DiarmaitThe Dwaygenroark Mid-Fielder came in following the first half of the Aiz-Dorne First League qualifiers and rocketed them from the bottom of the league to First Position. When he left the league, due to a torn ligament, Dwaygenroark suffered a number of fatal losses, suggesting that the Dwaygenroark player has some ounce of brilliance about him and by watching his play, it can be seen why he has been selected for the team
Mid-FielderPerry ClancyAnother New Rushmore player and for good reason, Perry has personally seen 12 Goals pass in his name during the Aiz-Dorne First League. He has been condemned however, for being caught drunk on many occassions, with uncertainty that he will participate in the cup, with the promise that he can participate if he lays off the drink during the competition.
Mid-FielderIsiah TyroneThe only member of the Horfinn Isle Archers team in the Islo Aiz ens Islo Dorne team, while not a memorable addition, Isiah is likely to finish without a goal to his name, but his powerful passes and tactical play has led to many a goal being stopped
Mid-FielderCeallach BenjYet another Swyftlandese team player, brought by Borzichover FC, famed for his surprise goal that led them to victory in the Emperor's Scepter.
ForwardJordan FaolánThe Forward from Grand Forest FC is a bad choice, having lost the ball in his attempts to strike more often than he actually got a chance to score. Although, his addition to the team is most probably due to his impressive shots and headers
ForwardShouta BurtonThe star of Union Isle football has been booked by Mermur Beach for the next season, but is expected to be a large goal scorer for the Aiz-Dorne side. He made his name in Football History during the 48th Baptism of Fire, when he took the team to the finals, scoring over half of the goals that made their name. Shouta is looking to continue his momentous campaign, saying, "I will do everything in my power to make sure our Esportivian come home with a Victory to their name."
ForwardBob FishOnce you get past the initial jokes about his name, you find a largely impressive Forward here. From the Aizenhelm Defenders. Bob Fish and partner Merv Leland have been seen playing strong passing tactics that will be strengthened with Shouta Burton's appearance. Fish has a interesting past story, being passed between three teams before the First League.
ForwardMerv LelandMerv Leland comes from the small island of Len Island in the Dorne Province, hence his name Leland. His small island home may have been his claim to fame, when he and his school mates played together, he would dominate the pitch, often scoring up to 12 Goals a game. As he grew in age, his Goal Count decreased as he met more formidable foes but his skill on the pitch was something not to go un-noticed, especially when he came to play for the 'Five Islands College'.
ForwardTroy AodhagánWhile he is not too well known, his story is nothing short of fascinating, claiming 'Football saved my Life'. In the City streets of Dorne, he became a-bit of a thug. Being arrested plenty of times due to his petty robberies and fights. However, when the rehabilitation program took place, his skill was noticed. Since then, he was invited to join the school's team, where he led a life of football, drawing him away from crime. Since then, he has joined up with Dorne City, becoming a average goal scorer.
ForwardTorin RidleyOriginally planned to be apart of the Swyftlandre team, but due to his birth in Aiz-Dorne, is to play for their team instead. This is most defiantly a blessing, as Torin has led Sveinhart FC to victory in the Swyftlandre Champions League and to forth place in the Emperors Scepter as captain in the team.

Group A!
Written by Sandy Holland

Group A makes an interesting mix-up. With Islo Aiz ens Islo Dorne facing up against Co-Hosts Cyborg Holland. Since the team aren't playing at home, they don't hold the advantage of the Home crowd, but this doesn't mean they won't be causing us problems. This is the one game where we are not expecting to score a goal, but with Shouta Burton, that prediction could be set to change.

As for the 19th Century Beards, the Bearded Mongrels look like easy pray for the Islanders. With an expected 2-0 win going to the team. The Equatorial Sarmenians are likely to go in a similar direction as the 19th Century Beards. Taijan team's haven't even arrived yet, nor been spotted training on their local ground, but if they arrive, then they are most likely going to lose the Islanders as well.

Our other main problem will be that of Slembana, the team, big-headed as they are, still pose a threat, with chances of a loss being rated at 1/2 by bookies, however, once again, the Saint that is Shouta Burton as well as Brennan Braidy, could easily turn this around.

Good luck to the team and,
May the odds be ever in your favour

(OOC: Supersonic is a dual themed program. The first half is an email program that is widely used in Apox. The second half is like a fusion between MSN/Group Chat/Twitter/Instant Messaging where you and your mates create a room to chat. You can also "Follow" people or things, that will automatically post into your chat room. This is a random chat room of a bunch of football mad mates during the Apox vs Wednesday Evening.)

<Booting up room>
<Gavin1532 online, Fred_MATE online, Jonno online, LadsOnTour (Steve) online, Jessie online.>

Fred_MATE:COME ON LADS COME ON LADS!!!
Jessie: Are you using this from inside the stadium?!?!
Fred_MATE: Yeah! I got this on me phone now, f***ing good.
Jonno: Soo lucky, I spent ages trying to get tickets.
Fred_MATE: Ha WHEY! I've never been to Cyborg Holland be4 tho, it's pretty mental here, and was only a 3 hour flight aswell!
Jonno: Yeah, but on AAir, I was surprised you didn't crash.
Gavin1532: Guys, SHUT UP, Its about to start, I'm trying to listen to what Jon Quillisi has to say...
Fred_MATE:WHOA, Calm down.

APXSportsUpdate: And the players march out onto the pitch here in Alkmaar, as both team take their Campionato Esportiva debuts - we've never played against Wednesday Evening before so this could be interesting.
LadsOnTour: COME ON TEAM! Let's get a win!
Gavin1532: We SHOULD win this guys, we've got more footballing history than them.

APXSportsUpdate: It's started here, in front of a crowd of 23,000, of whom 5000 are Apoxian, quite a good turnout for us!
Fred_MATE: YES!! That's me
Jessie: We know that you plonker.
Jonno: OH, did you see that attempt by Dravid Scott, if we don't win this, i'm eating my hat!
Jessie: Nah, you would do that, you love that hat!
Jonno: True.

APXSportsUpdate: That's a shot by Marlon Vetta, a very talented youngster, unfortunately just over the bar!
Gavin1532: He's soo good, such a pity we sold him to that Licentian team.
LadsOnTour: Yeah, he's good, COME ON TEAM, COME ON TEAM!

APXSportsUpdate: Apox have been dominating this game for the first 25 minutes of this game, we've been dominating this game so far!
Jonno: Come on, where's our goal?
Gavin1532: It's coming, I can feel it.

APXSportsUpdate: Wednesday Evening have grabbed a corner, it's tense in the stadium.
LadsOnTour: Don't you dare score...
Fred_MATE: It's soo tense in here.
APXSportsUpdate: That was a close one, John Eustace got a head to that, but it was caught by Jarvis Staniels. Now it's back up field.

APXSportsUpdate: Not a lot happening here at the moment.

APXSportsUpdate: After that attempt by Wednesday's Chris Bolder, it's half time.
Fred_MATE: We should be at least 1-0 up by now.
LadsOnTour: DROWNING MA SORROWS, DROWNING MA SORROWS.
Jessie: We should just block him during days when there's football on.
Jonno: Agreed.
Fred_MATE: I'll be back once I've got one of them Hollandaise Pasties.
Jessie: You're an odd f**ker, you are.
LadsOnTour: OI, OI BAD LANGUAGE, YOU TIT
Jonno: Shut up
Jessie: Go be a twat somewhere else.

APXSportsUpdate: And the teams are coming back onto the pitch, to rapturous applause by both sets of supporters, good spirit here!
Jonno: Only good spirit providing we beat them.

APXSportsUpdates: And now it's Will Fich heading up field, he passes to Olim Benzari on the wing, Olim takes a shot... saved by the keeper, good effort though.
Gavin1532: Our luck has been so bad, we've had 8 shots, 5 on target, no goals and they've had 2 shots, 1 on target, 0 goals.
Jonno: Let's hope our luck increases.
LadsOnTour: LETS HAVE A GOAL!
Jessie: I think your cap lock is stuck on Steve...

APXSportsUpdates: A substitution here, Chris Maarsden making way for Keri Ularu after quite an average game so far.
Gavin1532: We have so many good young strikers!
Fred_MATE: Chris is normally so good, he's been about a effective as a heap of s**t today.
Gavin1532: They have bad games from time to time.
Fred_MATE: "They have bad games from time to time." GAY
Gavin1532: Piss off

APXSportsUpdates: Now Wednesday Evening with the sub, David Hooper off for Steve Dooley. Exciting times here!
Jonno: I don't know anything about the Wednesday Evening national team...
Jessie: Neither
Fred_MATE: That's cos you don't know anything about football.
Jessie: I know who Dravid Scott is.
Fred_MATE: That's cos everyone does.

APXSportsUpdates: A shot by Andrew Walker there, after an earlier shot by Ken Rickwright, and a clattering tackle by Eddie Francis on Jack Forster, I have a feeling this game will remain goalless.

APXSportsUpdates: A final substitution for Apox there, with Dan Weekes coming on for Chris Neguwa.
LadsOnTour: COME ON!!!!?!

Fred_MATE: NOOO!
APXSportsUpdate: I don't believe it, after so much dominance by Apox, Wednesday Evening slip in a goal! A breakaway run by Toddles Wilson draws in Jarvis Staniels, who is powerless to stop the goal, after Toddles passes it to Derek Quigley who nets a goal for the team! Where was the defense.
Jonno: All that effort for nothing.
APXSportsUpdate: And the final whistle blows, with a surprise win for Wednesday Evening. I've just heard that from the other group game, Free University trashed Englonia 4-0, so that will be a tricky match for our next game.
Fred_MATE: That's bulls***!
<Fred_MATE is offline>
Jonno: He's not happy.
Gavin1532: Not surprised, that's the first Apox game he's been able to watch since that home qualifier against Sarrbia or someone. Anyway, we should have buried them.
<Jessie is offline>
Jonno: That's so boring, I'm off
<Jonno is offline>
<Gavin1532 is offline>
LadsOnTour: I'm singing in the rain... I'm singing in the rain...

APXSportsUpdate: So the team from that match was:
GK - Jarvis Staniels (c)
RD - Jack Forster
CD - Chris Neguwa sub Dan Weekes 62'
LD - Jennie Scott
RM - Olim Benzari
CM - Ken Rickwright
CM - Will Rich
LM - Fran Gracie

The Slembana Times: Great win to kick off Campionato Esportiva

By Peter Whiteman, chief football reporter at the Bagratuni Mountain Arena, Khobeliti, Sakhovelo (attendance 20,126)

We have got off to a fantastic start to our first-ever Campionato Esportiva - beating Equatorial Sarmen 2-0.

We opened the scoring after 2 minutes, when a great though ball from Jyvx Dagens found Val Kylx. The 17 year-old striker juggled the ball, before volleying a curling beauty into the top corner of the Sarmeni goalkeeper's net. However, we almost conceded in the 4th minute, only for a magnificent save from our 'keeper, Toby Gapman, to deny Equatorial Sarmen's star striker.

We were the more dominant in the first half, with a wave of chances falling our way. We were rewarded for our dominance with a 25th minute goal. Yuppë Tárnix, our left-winger, bolted down the wing. He jinked inside and outside of the Sarmeni right-back with some stepovers, before crossing into the box. Eddie Barlow threw his head at the ball, which connected with the head of the 24-year old striker, and sailed over the right shoulder of the hapless Sarmeni goalkeeper to give us a 2-0 lead.

Equatorial Sarmen's play was mostly sloppy, but they did have a good chance in the 35th minute. Their star playmaker twisted and turned his way past Follin Maxet, before playing a through ball into the Sarmeni star striker. The player alluringly flicked the ball over the head of our captain, Gavin Stockwell, before volleying towards goal. However, the player saw his effort smack against the crossbar, before being cleared by Stockwell. The half-time score was 2-0 to us - the first time in seven matches that we had been leading at the break. The last match before today in which we had been leading at half-time was our 2-0 friendly win over Gaveo in December - we were leading 1-0 at half-time in that match.

We were dominant after half-time, to boot. Kylx, Yalnif, Tárnix, Dagens, Maxet, and Barlow all came close for us. The overworked Sarmeni goalkeeper almost let in a third in the 63rd minute, only for a shot from Dagens to be blocked by the right foot of the shot-stopper. Equatorial Sarmen's right-winger hit the post with a thunderbolt shot in the 74th minute, but that was the best chance the Sarmenis had in the second half. Our attacking players were peppering Equatorial Sarmen's goal with shots, and Kylx almost scored again in injury time, only to hit the post with a drilled shot. However, a final score of 2-0 was a good score for us. We are currently top of Group A on goal difference, and it looks like we will go through to the knockout stage in second place, behind Cyborg Holland. We are facing Apeotish as well as Cyborg Holland in our group, so it looks like we will gain six points and go through.

The Qalfen Chronicle: Bad start to first-ever Campionato Esportiva

By Edward Zanther, chief football reporter at the Ok'ros Medinare Stadium, Tblino, Sakhovelo (attendance 39,892)

In our first-ever Campionato Esportiva game, we have lost 2-0 to 19th Century Beards. Even though we aren't happy about the result, 19CB had finished second at the last Campionato, so it was always going to be a tough game.

19th Century Beards got off to a great start, with their star striker, 32 year-old Mindougas Gimbiris, curling past our goalkeeper, James Vax, in the 2nd minute. We hit back, with 19CB's goalkeeper, Samuel Bennet, palming a chipped shot from our star striker, Thomas Xandélo, in the 5th minute. However, a corner-kick from 19CB's left-winger, James Smith, found defender Cameron Major (the captain of 19th Century Beards) in the 13th minute. Major beat our captain, Homer Gúlitha, to the ball, before powering a bullet header past Vax to give 19th Century Beards a 2-0 lead.

We had a good chance to pull one back in the 19th minute, but striker Aaron Young-Banks hit the bar with a powerful shot from 25 yards. 19th Century Beards had an excellent spell after that, with shots seemingly raining down on Vax's goal every minute. However, what seemed to be an inevitable third goal for last edition's runners-up didn't come, and half-time did with the score at 2-0 to 19CB. We were losing, but we could have been losing by an wider margin.

In the 47th minute, Gúlitha stormed up the pitch in an attempt to score. He desperately let fly with a low shot from 40 yards which trundled wide. When the shot went wide, I was thinking, "What are you doing, Homer? Why didn't you go closer in? You would have had a better chance of scoring if you did so."

In the 59th minute, Xandélo was fouled 25 yards from goal by 19CB centre-back Joanne Nortal. Wayne Vale, our right-winger, was the only player who volunteered to take the resulting free-kick. When the referee blew his whistle to signal that Vale could take the free-kick, the player curled the shot beautifully. It span round the defensive wall, and left Bennet stranded, but it hit the crossbar. Despite this, our fans clapped Vale, as it was a majestic free-kick.

Five minutes later, Xandélo sped into the penalty box. As he entered the box, he was fouled again. This time, the foul was committed by Major, who tripped up the 22 year-old striker. Xandélo stepped up to take the penalty. This was a golden chance for us to score a goal and get ourselves back into the game. Xandélo's penalty sent Bennet the wrong way, only the hit the left-hand post. Upon missing, Xandélo sank to the ground, and covered his face with both of his hands.

As a result of missing the penalty, Xandélo was replaced by McAndrew Stoke-Rafferton. Stoke-Rafferton did OK, and he had some chances, testing Bennet with his shots. Stoke-Rafferton's best chance was in the 79th minute, when a left-wing cross from Alvin Vale found the young striker. Stoke-Rafferton headed the ball towards goal, only for Bennet to flash the ball away for a corner, which came to nothing.

However, the last 26 minutes weren't all about Stoke-Rafferton, as other players in our team had good chances, and 19CB were still threatening. Gimbris, Smith, and Gimbris' strike partner Barry Manilow had good chances, and Manilow almost scored a third goal for his team, only to hit the post late on. However, we didn't want to lose a third goal, as a 2-0 loss was bad enough for us.

ISBJ national team wins debut Campionato match

The Campionato Esportiva has begun it's third iteration, and things are heating up already. Bongo Johnson has been drawn into Group G, and will play their group stage matches in Sakhovelo. The head coach has yet to call a press conference announcing the official roster, but has said that he'd rather just let his players play. Forgoing the tradition of having the media tracking each player, he said, he just wants his team to have the least amount of distraction as possible. "Pure football", as he put it. On a higher note, the team won their first match 4-1 over Cypradeous. A stellar debut performance sets the bar high for the rest of the tournament.

Stay tuned to BongoBeat HD and BongoBeat.net for all your sporting needs.

Sakhovelo starts off perfectly in the CEIII

Image
Byfuglandian Defense and player #16, Aleksandr Gorgiashvili, Sakhoveli midfielder

After a very disappointing performance in their début in CEII, Sakhovelo's active training during the past months is finally paying off. The début game of the Sakhoveli team was also the first match played in the Newdutch lands, in the New Amzterdam Arena. The sun was shining graciouslly when the match started (@10.00), and the match would be against Byfugland, newcomers to Esportiva. The stadium was not as packed as the stadiums in Sakhovelo during that matchday, but still had enough fans: 52,349. According to the statistics of the CH hosts, about 25,000 were fans coming from Sakhovelo to root for their team.

The orange and blue flags were waving in the whole east side of the stadium, whilst parts of the west side had the blue/yellow/black flag of Byfugland. Being such an important match, the coach of the Sakhoveli team, Mikel Haldebaukratxía, was literally biting his nails over the performance of his team. He was confident on their skills, but he was really worried that pressure could take the worst of them. The main squad entered the stadium, and the anthem of Sakhovelo was played. A big screen had been set up in Justinia (Byfugland), as well as Kubistvis (Sakhovelo), the capital cities of the playing countries.

The first minutes of the match witnessed a lot of action from both sides, since Byfugland was also wanting a victory that entered its name successfully into the history of CE. However, it was the minute 25' that changed everything upside down. In a very interesting chain of events, two players of Byfugland and the Sakhovelis Gia Khubutia and Zurab Kvirkvelia got injured, all in only one attempt of goal, in the Byfuglandian side. Apparently, everyone wanted to take the ball but Gia fell, taking Zurab and the Byfuglanders to the ground with him, in a mixture of kicks and involuntary (or so) punches. The referee decided to call things even and not put any cards... after all, we had 4 injuries.

The substitutes were immediately called in, and in the Sakhoveli side Akaki Lobjanidze (DF) and Levan Vatsadze (FW) were called in. The formation changed now to a 3-4-2-1, and the Leopards (nickname for the Sakhoveli team) began to roar full steam ahead. Four minutes later, Irakli Mchedlidze trespassed the Byfuglander side and scored from the right side, in a perfect diagonal straight line. The morale of the Byfuglander team began to decrease steadily.

In the next minutes, the match continued with different advances of the Sakhoveli team, and an approximate number of 10 different shots were made; all failed. The anger began to rise in some Sakhoveli players who saw how their attempts were totally unsuccessful, even when the Byfuglander team was weakened. Amidst this anger, a player from Byfugland scored a goal after a corner in the minute 42'. Nukri Kvaskhvadze, our goalkeeper, fell to the ground and whilst falling, the ball kicked by the Byfuglander entered.

For the end of the first period, 1-1 was the score. Mikel Haldebaukratxía was very worried. A draw was not an option. Sakhovelo needed a win. On the other hand, the Byfuglander coach was very mad, yelling at his players and talking about the need for a win. The only substitution made was by Sakhovelo, the GK Nukri Kvaskhvadze was changed for Giorgi Revishvili.

The second period came in, with a lot of support from both sides' fans. Byfugland had recovered itself, but Sakhovelo had gotten stronger. The stats and the game itself showed the superiority of the Leopards. And it resulted in one goal by Jaba Dzalamidze in the minute 78', and another one by Irakli Mchedlidze in the minute 85'. The Byfuglanders were now sad, and a very weird image was that of the stadium: the Sakhoveli side had waving flags, chanting fans and lots of joy; whilst the other side was totally seated, without a sound coming off from them.

The match ended in the minute 90', and the team exploded in joy! It was the best start for the tournament!

Next Match: Sakhovelo vs. Islo Aiz ens Islo Dorne

From the work pages of Dr. Horreshüffer:

Dandillis 2 - 1 Zingolar

After a weird new shcedule was announced to us, we faced Zingolar today, I must admit I expected more from them, but I'm happy that the bunnies managed to win. An ordinary team would've won by more, but getting 3 points today was exactly what I, not the bunnies because they don't have the ability to have desires (I'm working on that), wanted.

On the 5th minutes, once again, an early goal was conceeded, a Zingolarian striker got into the box and fulminated the ball, which Toothy tried to stop, but wasn't able to as the ball pushed him inside with it. Zingolar had taken the lead and things looked dark, however, 10 minutes later, Rollingfast would outrun a Zingolarian defender after Ironbunny's through pass and rush with the ball to the goal, passing between the Zingolarian goalkeeper's legs and crossing the line with the ball. The bunnies had quickly equalized for my relief, again, not for theirs as most of them aren't even sapient, let alone like the game. We went to half time with a tie, we gave the bunnies carrots to eat and they went to play the second half all renewed. Then, on the second half, Mr. Evilbunny would use his stunning laser beam in a corner, effectively paralyzing every Zingolarian player and would head Ironbunny's cross in, giving us the lead on the 76th minute. After that, Mr. Evilbunny would abuse his stunning laser beam to prevent Zingolar from scoring. We'd win 2-1, almost assuring a place in the Round of 16.

List of defects detected so far:
- Bunnator's aggresive attitude.
- Rugs Bunny's horrible shooting.
- The overall short memory of the team.
- Toothy's weight.
- Tendency to conceed early goals.
- Dependence on Mr. Evilbunny's stunning laser beam.

The Plane

Finnbarr Lachlan

Finnbarr sat alone of the Plane with his solitary thoughts, as most other members of the team did. It was confirmed when they arrived that when they arrived at the hospital. Séamus was dead, they put the Heart Attack done to stress.

His main problem had been Ciar however, he'd worked it out and would have no hesitation in telling the others about the Death Note. He didn't know what was going through his head, but the fact that someone knew he murdered was enough, if that got out, even with the absurdity of the story, it could be enough to drive him to suicide. Finnbarr had to kill Ciar, then no-one would now. He had got off the bus one stop early, claiming he wanted to walk the rest of the way by himself, so he could think about the situation...then he wrote Ciar's name in the Death Note, the cause of death specified as Bus Crash, hopefully that would dispose of anyone who happened to be eavesdropping.

What had scared Finnbarr however, was the realization that he hadn't hesitated to kill all those people, just to protect himself. Eventually he found it within himself to talk to the rest of his team, they made the decision to play the competition, just to clear their minds from the disaster. But that seemed unlikely, considered the news was probably all the way across Esportiva.

Kubistvis Major Stadium, Swyftlandre v. Northern Sunrise Islands, 45'

Finnbarr Lachlan

The team was doing well, if you ignore the two Red Cards obtained by Gray Sorley and Gresham Ralf for violent behavior, but who could blame them. As they reached extra time for the first half, the score was tied nil-nil and it looked like a potential goal coming from none other than Finnbarr himself.

"Come on, this is for Nancy!" He shouted as he charged the pitch, easily by passing Francisco de Sousa and taking his shot and with the goal easily within his reach, he fired, the ball flying straight into the hands of Andy Cunnington. He turned back, depressed by his appalling miss, but he could easily bypass it as his thoughts being his distraction. But when he'd finally began running back, he saw a...a...a...Demon fly down. It had small stubby wings, a Skull Cap with Red Eyes shining through the darkness and a look to it, as if it were stitched together with Pin and Needle.

Finnbarr screamed at the sight, had he gone mad? Was this his guilt trying to get back at him? He heard the whistle blow that ended the First Half of play, but all of the attention by this time was towards him.
"Hey...You alright?" He heard one of the NSI players shout to him. Usually he'd be swift to reject help from anyone who wasn't from his nation, but instead he found himself pointing at the Demon, struggling to bridge the words.

The Demon let out a deep, menacing laugh before exclaiming,
"Hey there, I'm Suké."

That was the last thing he remembered before he re-awoke in hospital,
"You finally decided to wake up, that's a good thing, I was getting kind of restless you know. It's not nice to keep someone waiting, heck, I might have written your name in my Death Note for your insolence!"
Finnbarr looked up to find the source of the voice, only to find himself screaming again,
"Wh...who...WHO ARE YOU!"

The Doctors were quick to seduce Finnbarr, with the Demon shouting out, once again,
"I told you, it's Suké..."

He came round to a clearer voice, that of John Rayner,
"Hey guys, he's back..."
Finnbarr groaned, then jokingly exclaimed, "Hey, what's up pussies..."

The team crowded him, as he sat up he noticed everyone was there,
...And no Demon, that's good
"We thought you'd died, after everything that had happened, with Séamus' Heart Attack and that Bus Accident that Ciar was killed in...it's so good to see you again..."
"Be quiet, you know it takes more than that Demon to kill me!" He laughed, before realizing the rest of the crew wasn't following his meaning, "Did you not see it? That...that...thing?"
"The Doctors said you were hallucinating, but they've examined you and nothing seems to be going wrong, they just reckon you should see a psychiatrist...but other than that, they were hoping to dispatch you tonight, you might even be able to play again after tomorrows game"
"Wait, that reminds me, what about the game?"
"We came to a agreement, although I was sent to keep an eye on you. With the whole team in panic and shock, of course we lost, but it's good they managed to stand their ground and only lose by two, pretty impressive, don't you think?"
"Yeah sure...of course, if I'd stayed there, we'd have come home 7 nil"

The team shared jokes and insults with each other over the night, until Finnbarr was finally cleared and allowed to leave.

Hotel

Suké

"Are you finally going to stop freaking out? I've had quite enough of that." The Shinigami was proud of his findings, a Football Player, obviously naive to the goings on in the world, as was the same with every football player. But the way he'd killed that Ciar character, without even a second thought. He decided he could have fun re-creating him.

The football player looked up to him, he must of worked out that no-one could see him by now, that he was little more than an apparition in Finnbarr's mind, that offended him, if truth be told, but if it stopped him from freaking out, he could live with it.
"That's right, don't freak out, or I won't hesitate to kill you...Just head to the bathroom, we can speak there." Suké said, grinning under his Skull Mask

And sure enough, two minutes later, Finnbarr had made his escape to the toilet,
"Hello Finnbarr. Allow me to introduce myself properly this time, I am Suké, a Shini..."
"A Shinigami, am I correct. Gods of Death in the lore of the Japan, a popular bed time story for the children, to stop them from being naughty. But it's obvious you're more than just a legend!"
What the hell! The Finnbarr I saw only five hours ago, he was alot more fearful than this. What kind of game is this
"Don't tell me, I've left the Shinigami speechless, fucking brilliant. It was just an interesting little article that appeared on the internet, started by some Sci-Fi bastard. But this is interesting, you're here because of the Death Note right? Take it back, I have no need for it after all."
Who does he think he is, bossing me around like that!, "It was my intention to allow you to keep the Death Note...in fact, I insist, keep it. It's yours, no strings attached. You'll need it soon enough."

CAMPIONATO ESPORTIVA III
Marills beat Swyftlandre but with seemingly sad cost.
Lynette Bourbon did an impressive job in rearranging the Marills for the CE III, as the Marills started the tournament with a 2-0 win over Swyftlandre at a full-housed Kubistvis Major Stadium in Kubistvis, Sakhovelo. The Marills played a renovated football thanks to the new pieces of the team, Hikari, Crawford and Carvalho. The first half was full of action, two red cards, one for Sorley and Ralf and a very strange thing that we need to talk of later. At the second half, things changed.Carvalho opened up the score after Crawford dribbled Danny and Randall, then passing to Carvalho, who did a Panna over the Redmund to open up the score. The second goal would come only in the second half, as Carvalho suffered a foul from Randall. Xene choses to shoot and finds the net, making it 2-0 at the 76th minute. The match ends with the Marills obtaining their first victory at their debut over Swyftlandre as Asadur beats Westfield House 2-1 in the other match of Group E. The Noble Knights will face the Marills in Matchday 2, winner guarantees its spot in the second round. However, there is one more thing we need to talk of. During the match, Lachlan seemed a little strange, screaming exactly in the end of the first half and then colapsing. Netto Hikari, the player who helped taking him to the ambulance declared, "I don't know what happened. Sure the Swyftlandre team has been going quite strange as of late, with recent deathes and this... But well, all we can do is hope that their bad luck ends."

Sup, guys! Namine here. Man, this was an adventure all right! Let me tell you, trying to walk in Sakhovelo is hard, mostly because of their language. Seriously, It's that hard... Anyways, I loved this place. It's beautiful, I tell you. So well, me and Eduardo got tickets to sit with the Maneaters and... well... Eduardo was pretty much of the only men in that area of the stadium. The NSI supporters did very well, I can tell you. In general, it was great. And, by the way, Carvalho is a great player. He scored one and managed to pull another. Bourbon, thanks for making our team fly high this time. By the way, what the hell rolled with Lachlan? And with the Swyftlandrish team in general... Are they cursed or something? Well, let's hope it doesn't affect us. See ya next time, when we face Asadur! Chain Mail time, baby!

Terrible Organization by Swiss Board Draws Ire
"It's been a disaster," confesses team coach, Jonah Nizzy. Half the team ended up being on a different flight, which was several hours later. Then we show up and the people supposed to pick us up aren't there. Turns out there were at another airport. Then we get to our hotel and find out our rooms are occupied until the next morning. We ended up spending the night in the 'Happy Nights' motel. And of course, we lost today, 1-4."

Many critics have pointed out the fact that the Swiss Soccer Board in charge of international tournaments was supposed to make sure everything was prepared for the first Swiss regional tournament, and have failed miserably. "If we end up not qualifying," says one protester. "We all know' who's going to be at fault. And it sure ain't the players."

Official Communiqué by the CEIIIOB (CEIII Organizing Board)

We feel deeply concerned by the Swiss situation after the declarations of Jonah Nizzy, the team coach of the Free Swiss States. EUSKAir had guaranteed a full flight for the Swiss delegation that was not confirmed before Friday (the day of the flight), and that's why the team had to fly in different flights through payless, a low-cost airline that only travels seasonally to Sakhovelo, in summer and fall. The director of the KIA (Kubistvis International Airport), Shimon Skaat declared:
Without a clear information about the flights of payless it was impossible for us, the Kubistvis International Airport, to provide transport to the arriving players and staff. Payless has no fixed schedule, and our demands of transport at the moment, which include delegations from the Copa Esportiva and the Open of Kubistvis, prevented us from being able to guarantee a coach 24/7 in the airport. We did not even know the gate they would arrive to! And neither did their fans, who were clearly disappointed after not seeing their team arrive in time.

KIA is responsible for the handling of the teams that play in Sakhovelo, in their respective transfers. Nonetheless, after a poor organization by the Swiss Board, it was impossible for KIA to treat the Swiss team as it successfully treated the others. In fact, after all, the Payless flight arrived to the Alban Nishliu Private Airstrip, located 50 kilometers away from Kubistvis, in the Miro Plateau.

It is also known that the Qube Hotel received no confirmation of the accodomodation reservations of the Swiss team. The director of the Hotel, Marko Ubunti, said:
It's unbelievable! The Qube was in charge from the very start to host the teams that would play matches in Kubistvis. It was the mission given to us from the CEIIIOB and the very government of Sakhovelo, and of course, we wouldn't (and still won't) disappoint and compromise our good name in the Tourism industry. All that the teams had to do was confirm their stay here, and give out some data that was going to help us give them a better stay here... But no! The Swiss board never called back! We spent lots of minutes calling to FSS to talk with them, and they never answered! How can this be? How? All I can do is vacate some occupants to the other hotel of our franchise, but tomorrow. That's all I can do.

The Swiss team had to stay in the "Happy Nights" motel, located in the village of Kartsomebadze, 20 kilometers away from Kubistvis in one of the coldest places of Sakhovelo. The motel is owned by Monlyuxeburgan staff, who of course, only care about the money, so their motel is ranked as one of the "worst places to be in Sakhovelo. After all, it has nothing to do with Sakhovelis". What a bad luck!

The CEIIIOB has regretted the bad decisions and acts of the Swiss Soccer Board; and has suggested that the handling of the team is handed over to the Sakhoveli authorities, at least for the tournament. Otherwise, qualification is something FSS will not see in CEIII.

Embarrassment for Swiss Board of Soccer
After allegations of serious failure to fulfill responsibilities by the organizer behind Swiss international tournaments, it was announced today that the Swiss government had agreed to hand over scheduling and management of the team during the tournament to the authorities of the host nation. Such a drastic measure was launched in the wake of a dramatic Swiss loss yesterday, and the shocking news that the Board had failed to plan accommodations for the players themselves.

This is not the first time former president James Hunt (now leader of the Board) has been involved in scandal. He was impeached five years prior after photographs emerged of him participating in what can only be described as a "cheese and dinosaur orgy." When asked about the recent events which had led to this recent footballing disaster, Hunt had only this to say: "Hey, chill out baby," he said to our interviewer. "By the way, you seem pretty nice. Want to head over to my mansion some time? We have the greatest parties." He then proceeded to hit on poor Molly Farfal for the rest of the interview.
