Cutoff time: 8 to 9 PM US EST (UTC-5), may be flexible with cutoff times if pinged on Discord or TG'd.

Rosters:
All participants are strongly encouraged to post a roster. As stated in the host bid, any nation which does not post a roster prior to the RP cutoff for matchday 1 will not receive your skill points until you have posted a roster. You may name as many or as few players to your roster as you wish. The only major requirement for your roster is that you include a permissions box as follows:

RP PERMISSIONS
If my opponent roleplays first, they may:
Choose my starting lineup: Y/N
Choose my goalscorers: Y/N
Godmod scoring events: Y/N
RP injuries to my players: Y/N
Godmod injuries to my players: Y/N
Hand out yellow cards to my players: Y/N
Hand out red cards to my players: Y/N
Godmod other events: Y/N

For those who don't know, Godmodding refers to RPing events that are beyond the bounds of what could realistically be expected to occur in a normal football match. If your star player scores all goals in absurdly talented fashion in a match, this is not godmodding. If there is an alien invasion that caused one team to leave the pitch and allowed your team to score the goals on an empty net, this is godmodding. You may also include a style modifier for your team. This is a value between -5 and 5 that indicates how your team plays. -5 is very defensive, while 5 is very attacking. Any nation whose roster that does not include a style modifier will be assumed to want a neutral style modifier of 0.

Welcome to the United States of HUElavia!

History: HUElavia is a nation of over 3.2 Million Square Miles(1) that is home to the Hueti, the native people of the land. The country was colonized in the late 1600s by Portuzians (Portuguese) and Asellians (Spaniards) and was basically split off by both countries for over 200 years. Eventually, immigrants came and decided that the nation needed to get off from Colonial power and the country split into two, East HUElavia and West HUElavia, in 1897. Although, the country merged together into HUElavia in 1900, and the nation saw a massive growth of population from immigrants and a rising birth rate. Many of the immigrants that came included the following: Euskati (Basque), Tallian (Italians), Franc (French), Rus (Russians), Ibo (Nigerians), Quhah (Arabic), Yamoto (Japanese), Guang Tzu (Chinese), Cog (Vietnamese), and Pinoy (Filipino). While there has been bouts of Conservative times in the country, HUElavia has been mainly a Liberal society where people are free to do generally whatever they want, and today there is a massive level of scientific and technological advancement in the country that makes things such as transportation very reliable.

Geography and Climate: HUElavia is mainly a country with tropical rainforests, tropical seasonal forests, temperate dedicious forest, or wetlands. 8 of the venues will be played in hot and humid locations, ranging from 77*F to 79*F, while 4 of the venues will be played in more cool areas, where it can be 72*F on average. While the country can have rainy days, the costs tend to get higher rates of precipitation than the inlands areas, therefore expect some matches to be played in the rain. There is high humidity throughout the country though, which can make it feel hotter than normal. Thus, during matches held in the afternoon, there will be cooling breaks for players to hydrate and cool off to stay well.

Culture: HUElavia is mainly influenced by Portuzian and Astellian culture, but there are regions that are their own cultural influence from the large groups of immigrants in that area. English, Portuguese and Spanish are the official languages. Galician serves as the Lingua Franca of the country, with significant populations that speak French, Italian, Russian, Basque, Cantonese, Japanese, Vietnamese, Tagalog, Arabic, Ibo, and Hueti. In terms of dishes, Portuguese and Spanish dishes are mainly eaten, but regional dishes such as French, Italian, Russian, Berber, Nigerian, Japanese, Chinese, Filipino and Vietnamese can be found virtually everywhere (A Chef's Voyage is a great series to get into to learn about the cultures and cities in HUElavia). In terms of Religion, Christianity is the majority Religion, with Roman Catholicism being the main form of Christianity, with a sizable portion of Protestantism. Judaism, Islam, Shinto, Buddhism, and Native Religions are also found in the country, and there is virtually a place of worship for many religions. In music, traditional Portuguese, Spanish, and Latin music are popular, but there are high interests in J-Pop, J-Rock, C-Pop, P-Pop, K-Pop, V-Pop, French, Italian, and Russian Hardbass. In terms of clothing, save for those in buisness and politics or those for fancy events, people tend to dress casually with men wearing t-shirts, light long-sleeve shirts, jeans or shorts, while women may wear t-shirts, jeans or shorts, or dresses or blouses. Swim suits are also worn in the costal areas as well. These clothes are worn to stay cool in the hot and humid temperatures of the country. Although, it is not uncommon to see people go about their day naked due to the heat and humidity (The HUElavian Government recommends to look solely at their face, in order to avoid any accusations of sexual harassment).

People: HUElavians are a very multicultural population, with 50% of the population being of mixed race. While there are people who are fully of a certain ethnic origin, many come from different backgrounds and tend to identify with the culture they look the most like or feel the most attached to. HUElavians tend to be very intelligent with virtually every citizen over the age of 21 having some sort of formal schooling, whether it be from college or from trade school, thus it is not uncommon to hear serious debates as part of "light conversation." HUElavians tend to be very kind, compassionate, and cheerful, being among the best in the multiverse, but they're too honest to a fault, and they can come off rude with their remarks. They're also very healthy, with a very small amount of people suffering from Obesity, and many tend to be either slim, in form, or muscular. The average height for HUElavian Males is 1.78 Meters (5'10"), while the average height for HUElavian Females is 1.61 Meters (5'3").

What to do: HUElavia is a massive country with many things to do. Some of these things to do include: Going to the beach, visiting a national park, going to intellectual parks to discuss a variety of topics, going to parties or clubs, going to conventions (from sci-fi, to anime, to gaming), visit cultural centers in different regions to learn firsthand the different cultures of the country, go to libraries, go to restaurants, go to indoor pools, and go to parks to play sports or have a picnic or to skate. Generally speaking, if there is an interest some visitors may have, there is probably a location in HUElavia that partakes in that interest.

Accomodations: Fans travelling from all over will be able to take plane or ship to the country and arrive to any of the hosting cities. There are hotels available not far from the stadiums, usually either a walk, bus ride, or metro ride will get them to the stadium quick. If coming from a different dimension, we do have aircrafts and busses designed to travel to a different dimension in order to pick up passengers of different varieties (thanks to the advances in HUElavian science and technology). Fans will go to different venues either through Plane, High-Speed Train, or Boat. HUElavian Airlines, of the Multiverse Airline Alliance, in particular will be the main airline transporting fans and players alike. From the hubs of Curumba, Sao Salvador, San Rafael, Jinaqa, HUEsilia, and Rio de HUEska, many planes will take fans to all the venues throughout the country.

Football Culture: HUElavia is a football-mad nation, where massive matches in the HUElavian Football League (HFL) and the HUElavian National Football Team are significant enough to make millions of HUElavians stop what they're doing to watch the matches. Generally speaking, HUElavians are very passionate and supportive of their team and will sell-out stadiums throughout the country. Fans of all teams will be allocated endzones for their fans to sit at, with the "Home" team to the left and the "Away" team to the right for all broadcasts. Generally speaking, if some fans engage in chants, there will just about likely be HUElavians coming in to join in their chants for fun and solidarity (with the exception if that team plays against HUElavia).

IAC-20 Roster

Postby Delte » Tue Jan 09, 2024 11:15 pm

Independents Championship 20
River Delte Representative Team
Tournament Squad

Home Colours: All Green of The Valley
Away Colours: All Redshirts Away Team
Third Colour: All Gargoyle Salmon Gold
Kit Supplier: ediraf

Nickname: The Representatives (commonly The Reps, also: The Rank Amateurs; and The Postman, The Picklock & The Pensioner)
Formation: Attack-minded 4-3-3 'Stoicpress' - intense but unemotional defending from the front

Team Anthem: Three Salmon On Our Shirts (Never Stop The Leaping)

My opponent, if they RP first, may consider:
Everything permitted: Yes
Pick The Teams: Yes
Reciprocity: Yes

Attacking Modifier: +3

The Deltic people are a stoic bunch, and the team plays in this style - not over emotional, not flashy, not given to wild celebration or remonstrating with referees, not diving or faking injuries. They shake hands when they score goals and pat each other on the back in encouragement when they concede them. Matches might be high scoring as they prefer an attacking formation and the high 'stoicpress' invented by former coach, Enda Clentin; but off the pitch it's all rather pedestrian. They're not much use for post-match interviews.

The Representatives
Tournament Squad
The Representatives are a team of (mostly) amateur players from the Delte Valley area of a largely empty corner sidewise of the North Pacific region; but that did not stop them from winning World Cup '95, thanks to their unique stoicpress tactics and the experience of former World Cup winner Climo Coss, aged 157 and three quarters and formerly of Wight, who commandeered the midfield with other star player Enor Perro and showed the world he still had it. Some say it was the biggest shock since World Cup '19, others that it was simply shocking. Indeed, The Graintfjallers were furious, sending letters of complaint to the NSWC, the EWCC, the TSB and their local MP to declare only professional teams were entitled, but they couldn't stop The Postman, The Picklock and The Pensioner from attaining glory. Whatever next? Taxhavn to win in '97?

The enviously green mountaineers need not fear this IAC squad however, as the All-Week Super Ultra Premier Football Association, the Deltic FA, have selected a (mostly) highly inexperienced team of (mostly) amateur under-21s (mostly) for this tournament, to test out some new talent for the World Cup title defence. Several do already have some experience in the national team, (mostly) as reservists but including forward Henry Lightman who was a revelation in World Cup '94 and a huge disappointment in '95, being dropped from the tournament squad which went on to glory. He gets a chance here to revive his flagging fortunes.

The squad includes a number of non-Delts as has become customary, including three Taxhavnites - two of whom are the only professionals in the team: Lourens 'VW' Kampermann, and Töbi Aerle - both highly rated youngsters going well in the SteuerLiga. Eddie von Dach, the son of the Taxhavn ambassador in Delte, makes up the triumvirate of 'Tax Dodgers', and though he's gainfully unemployed at present, his impressive form in the World Cup winning campaign means he's attracted attention of professional clubs, allegedly in Quebec & Shingoryeo among others... at least according to Eddie.

Three refugees from the Cooper River Humanitarian Crisis - Demi, Simi and Asa - are selected despite their age not being clear; they certainly look quite young, according to Coach Awton. Finally, a young man from the Screve Valley - Floyd 'Pokey' Fayle - becomes the first from the next valley along to represent the Delts. As you might expect, he's currently in prison and gets a special license to play. We humbly request that references to 'dirty Screves' are kept to a minimum or ideally not used at all - 'Screvenor' is the preferred demonym.

The oldest player in the squad is the relative veteran Rillr Sawdare, 23, who comes along as the captain of the team to show a mature example to some of the kids, while the experienced Onun Tasher, who has played regularly since the Baptism of Fire and is still only 19, gets the nod for VC ahead of his older brother Burus.

Links in the squad list will take you to bios of the selected player, where they exist.

HEAD COACH: Seamus Awton, a promising young tactical coach enjoying some admiration at North Pacific FC
ASSISTANT: Romain Rivière, a Cooperite, doesn't have a word of Anglican
COACH: Aleard Sullenden, a brewery technician, discovered NSWC signups whilst on holiday
COACH: Darra Cankal, the only Sicoutinaise speaker in the valley, translator for the Cooperites
COACH: Davey Tinnalt, the head coach at Toddwardine Athletic
CHIEF MEDIC: Dr.Orem Ustingham (Doc Orem), discovered Hyper-Gerontological Syndrome

If you RP first feel free to select anyone from the squad for our matches, not necessarily from the first XI

亚洲帝国足球队
Yàzhōu Dìguó Zúqiú Duì

National Information

Full nation name: Empire of Amenria (亚洲帝国 Yàzhōu Dìguó, lit. Empire of Asia)
Short nation name: Amenria
Demonym: Amenrian/Asian (informal)
Capital: Mutiara (formerly known as Dalian)
Stadium: Mutiara Sports Centre Stadium
Currency: Cicis (1₡ = N$1.43)
Trigramme: AMN
Team nickname: Dragon's Team (龙之队 Lóng zhī duì)
Team colours: Black, white, gold

Overview

The roster for the national team has not changed since the last World Cup, as there have been no national tournaments yet. As such, the team will keep their mildly aggressive playstyle, with a rating of 3. It's the norm for Amenrian public figures to create a spectacle and have fun in the process, so unusual (but legal) poses or movements are to be expected, although they would still do basic research on Huelavian culture so as to avoid a faux pas.

Uniforms

Staff

Head coach: Xie Weijun
Assistant coaches: Ivan Maksimov1, Liu Chaoxiang, Ilyas Ghaniyev1
Goalkeeping coach: Liu Dianzuo
Manager: Li Anran
Doctor: Park Jaehwa
Therapists: Kim Bora, Im Miyeon, Faisal R. Hamza1
Translators: Kang Hyemi, Guo Xinyan

Starting Players

Number: 1
Name: Baek Chunghee
Position: Goalkeeper, Captain
Age: 30
Club: Busan IPark
Species: Human

With his signature stern expression and a tall and imposing figure at 185 cm, Chunghee's looks betray his calm, gentle, and kind personality. He hardly, if ever, shows any emotion and barely speaks during press conferences and is not much for theatricals, an uncommon trait among his peers. How he carries himself, his birthplace, as well as his shaved head has earned him the nickname of the Monk of Busan.

Number: 37
Name: Honda Yuichi
Position: Forward
Age: 21
Club: Avispa Fukuoka
Species: Human

The polar opposite of Chunghee. Yuichi is the poster boy for Amenrian football with how much he loves the spotlight. He's the most likely to do a risky shot instead of passing the ball to his open teammates, much to Sulaymon's chagrin. His confidence and attitude has basis, however, as at his age, he has scored more goals than the rest of the forwards in the national team.

Number: 6
Name: Jiang Jiahao
Position: Forward
Age: 23
Club: Beijing Guoan FC
Species: Human

Jiahao seems to be standing at the middle ground between Yuichi and Sho, being a fast and agile player like the former (albeit to a lesser extent) while maintaining a more grounded and serious state of mind than the latter. Excluding his speed, however, he is often seen as a jack of all trades, with the idea that he would become replaceable should he ever slow down living at the back of his mind.

Number: 17
Name: Feng Huizhong
Position: Forward
Age: 25
Club: Mutiara FC
Species: Human

Huizhong is another popular personality on the team, and while his position in the team is truly justified, his fans love him for his easygoing, comedic nature. Every press conference he attends always sees a clever pun or a well-placed joke by this man, and even his opponents find it hard not to see him as a personable and pleasant character.

Number: 3
Name: Nakajima Sho
Position: Forward
Age: 24
Club: Giravanz Kitakyushu
Species: Vampire

Sho is mostly known for his charm and visuals, never entering the pitch before he is sure his hair and makeup is absolutely perfect. While undoubtedly a skilled player, it's his appearance that draws many female fans into his home team's fandom and into the sport in general. In the field he is often seen smiling, either at his fans to make them go even crazier for him, or at his opponents as he playfully taunts them.

Number: 55
Name: Xiao Lingyun
Position: Midfielder
Age: 23
Club: Mutiara FC
Species: Human

A distant second on the team's top scorers, Lingyun is often characterized as a stern and mysterious person off-pitch as he is the one who talks least (tied with Chunghee, probably) and smiles the least. Even when celebrating a goal his expression remains constant, preferring to express his feelings with his body instead by raising a fist or doing similar gestures. Whether he is as dark and mysterious as he seems or he's simply shy is up in the air.

Number: 73
Name: Xu Fenhua
Position: Midfielder
Age: 25
Club: Mutiara FC
Species: Human

Even as a child, especially as a child, Fenhua was a ball of energy. He had so much energy, in fact, that he was a troublemaker in his youth. His grandparents considered sending him to military school to steer him away from his life of petty crime, but instead sent him to football school on advice of his school coach and after witnessing his talents firsthand.

Number: 81
Name: Son Minho
Position: Midfielder
Age: 23
Club: Mutiara FC
Species: Human

Minho does his best to separate his personal and professional life. On pitch, he is as boisterous as most of his peers, and even seems a bit cocky at times, but off pitch, he is very humble, polite, and courteous. While he isn't as fast as the team's forwards, he is perceptive and can often predict the next move of the player he sets his eyes on.

Number: 13
Name: Banjeet Jakhar1
Position: Midfielder
Age: 23
Club: Punjab FC
Species: Human

The happy virus of the team, Banjeet's smile is infectious. While not as comedically inclined as Huizhong, his kind and gentle personality makes him approachable and popular to fans and peers alike. This contrasts his aggressive playstyle which may lead one to ask why he isn't a forward.

Number: 5
Name: Sulaymon Ilhamov1
Position: Defender
Age: 32
Club: FC Bukhara
Species: Werewolf

Sulaymon is generally more quiet and analytical than most of his peers, although his reputation as a grumpy old man is not unfounded. He will always try to keep his cool, or grumble under his breath if he couldn't, but provoked enough, he can get himself in a screaming match, even against a referee. What he lacks in anger management he makes up for with his intellect.

Number: 12
Name: Rajeethan Jegaraj1
Position: Defender
Age: 25
Club: Chennaiyin FC
Species: Human

Rajeethan's story is a rags-to-riches tale. Orphaned at a young age, his first exposure to football was the street games he and his peers played near his orphanage. His talent was visible even as a teenager, so much that he took his school's team to the finals of a national tournament. He earned a high school scholarship thanks to this achievement, and upon graduation, Chennaiyin offered him a spot in their team.

Number: 42
Name: Pavel Vasiliev1
Position: Defender
Age: 27
Club: FC Zenit Irkutsk
Species: Human

Being in a universe where his team was never disbanded due to financing, Pavel used this timeline to his advantage, practicing hard even in the harsh Siberian winters. His smile shines as bright as his spirits, and he is known to be a boisterous, fun-loving giant of a man, which makes his name sound ironic.

About the Manager

Shane Newman is a Baker Park born, who took the chance to become the first NT boss for Havynwilde with an understanding that he would have time & resources to build from scratch. He was hounded by negative media coverage, the unrealisitc expectations of supporters & the governing body, and no investment to correct the dearth of talent in the domestic league. He was unceremoniously fired while out of the country on holiday. He'll consider his time there a learning experience. Was the chief defensive architect for the BPNT in the first three WC cycles.Aged 49 and married with three children--a boy and two girls--he will look to the domestic league for talent by focusing on technique, pace, and positional flexibility.

The Playing XI

#1 Jahangir Shehzad (Goalkeeper)
the twenty two year old goalkeeper Jahangir Shehzad. Who's been always in the bench waiting for their debut match. Jahangir Shehzad is a familiar face to all those who used to follow the Youth football tournaments in Indusse. Jahangir also was a tough contender for Liga Prime's (Indusse's Division One Football League) Golden Gloves. Jahangir was born in the city of Shahzalabad, located seventy six kilometres north of Riveria. He started his career for his school team and then got into the famous college team belonging to Mir Azmal College of Physical Sciences (MACPS). His performance for his college team got him into Sindvpore FC and later to Southbay Riveria FC. Currently, Jahangir is the goalkeeper for Southbay Riveria FC and had replaced Steve in the last season.

#91 Mark Millwood (Defender)
Mark Millwood was born in the town of Parvanaghattapura, in the outskirts of the national capital region of New Hind City. He was later bought by Rockies International Youth and currently plays for Rockies International FC in Indusse's First division league, Liga Prime.

#6 Jonathan Krege (Defender)
Jonathan Krege was born in the city of New Hind City to the business tycoon Friedrich Krege and is the rightful heir to Krege Industries, a well known multinational giant. Jonathan started his career by playing for his school teams and then for the Kala Bharati Campus Team alongside Mark Millwood. His performance in Kala Bharati team got him into Rockies International Youth and later to Neagra FC Youth. He had to quit Neagra FC Youth due to issues regarding his pay and was left in the transfer market as a free agent until he was bought by Cheralam Masters Youth. His career in Cheralam was short lived and at the age of nineteen he was bought by Salingam United FC. From then his performance improved to an extraordinary level where he was invited to play for the National Youth Team. His performance in the Nationals as well as for Salingam have brought him the ticket to the national team.

#13 Mathias Paulson (Defender)
Mathias Paulson born to a wealthy Syrian Christian family in Southbay. He wasn't a soccer maniac or something, who would have started playing for clubs before teenage. He started playing at the age of fifteen for several local clubs including his school and college clubs. After this Sport Medicine graduation from Saint Louis Holiness College in Jawaruyah, he got a mail from the Jawaruyah XI FC for being a defence and fitness co trainer. With his outmost hardwork in the game, he soon won a lot of awards and got a call from Rockies International FC for being their defender. He soon left Jawaruyah for Rockies Islands, it was his perfect defending which let the club rise from Division to to Primary Division tournament Liga Prime. The Team reached top three of the primary division tournament after his arrival and he also received a lot of awards for his play. With his arrival in Liga Prime and as a successor to former Rockies Defender Maryland Bruno (Maryland is his nickname because he used to run a cookie brand called Maryland Food), he got into the radar of National team selectors. He later got the call of the selectors to join the national team camp which was the turnover in his career. He soon became a well known defender in the nation and the captain of Rockies International FC.

His performance got him a seat in the Maharajas College where he pursued his bachelor degree. Maharajas FC shaped his career, where he was brought by Sindvpore FC to play for their youth team and later for the senior team. His performance for Maharajas FC had already put him in the books of the selectors and his extraordinary performance for Sindvpore helping them to win the FFI Confederations Trophy and FFI League of Victors opened his way to the national camp.

#14 Djetson Hazle (Mid Fielder)
Born as Djetson Hazlett to Dr. Henry Hazlett and Maria Henry in Sindvpore, Djetson change his surname at the age of sixteen to Hazle for joining film industry since there was a prominent star "Philip Hazlett" existing. He couldn't do much in the film industry, which changed his route into football. He played for the national U-18 team due to his absolutely commendable performance for his club Sindvpore FC. His performance also brought him into the national team and got himself as.a key player. He still plays for Sindvpore FC and took part in the Championship of FFI. #100 Goblin Grundjee (Forward)
Goblin Grundjee who is the first ever non-human sportsperson from Indusse. The Grundjee's are one of the families of the Goblin species that was created by the scientists by DNA Modelling. The scientists created a new race of Goblins through gene editing and combining the DNAs of Humans with certain animals and Algae. The goblin species were divided into three families were Grundjees are one of the major part. The other two families are called Mithys and Auris. The current members of the grundjee family is Colonel Grundjee who is a Colonel in the royal army of Indusse. The gene of colonel Grundjee was created by merging the genes of three colonels of the army with the genes of a eagle and the green algae. The green algae plays a necessary role in getting the green Color of the skin. The other member is Goblin Grundjee who is currently playing for the juniors. His gene was created by merging the genes of David Bekem, a former football and of a wild horse. The green algae is also a necessary part of the composition. The grundjee family has the green composition of skins due to green algae. Whereas, Mithys has a brownish red skin due to the presence of Blue-green Algae with Iron sediments, Auris family has the skin Color of a normal human as there isn't any presence of algae. The skin textures and patterns of the goblins are same as the humans and the color is the only thing that can discriminate it with humans. The scientific community believe that the goblin race will create revolution in the world of science. The creation of Goblin Grundjee was overseen by fellow player Bechun Butea who also played a major role in bringing Grundjee as a experimental player. Well, Grundjee is currently one of the best strikers the nation has seen.

Home Ground

The Aditya Varma Kulashekara International Stadium, is home to the Flocking Blues and is the largest sports stadium in the nation. The Aditya Varma Kulashekara International Stadium can hold 131,561 spectators in normal cases. The most attendance recorded for an event in the stadium was 148,241 spectators. This historical event happened long before the current stadium had been built. The former stadium known as IFA International Stadium had just a capacity of 108,112 and the event was the Sworn-in of Baskar H Kumar as the first president of the Indusse. In other words, the sworn in was also the same as the nation's independence day. The most spectators for a match was recorded as 118,232 spectators for a match between Indusse and Pratapgadh which was once a derby match.
(Image)

This Stadium was built first by Aditya Varma Kulashekara, the emperor of Indusse at his reign. The stadium was built as part of giving the Indussean Football Association, a home ground. The Stadium at its beginning had a capacity of 62,122 spectators and was later increased to 97,783. The Stadium also in the past hosted the home matches of Royal Hind City FC (Currently, New Hind City FC) and Hind United FC (Currently dissolved). The Hind United FC got dissolved into Royal Hind City FC and the club through enough funding brought some land near the Darbar Halls and built a stadium there which currently serves as their home ground and the nation's secondary home ground. The IFA Stadium was built close to the Hind River and was surrounded by small forests. The place then known to be Kadaathaaaru was chosen for the stadium, the name literally meant to be "Forest River". The stadium continued to host the nation's home matches until the IFA was disbanded after the invasion of the Islamic Conquerors. The Dari Sultanate rulers took over the nation and placed a ban on all sort of native entertainment including music and sports. The stadium was taken under the custody of the Dari Military and was converted into a arena to propagate Dari Propoganda. The Stadium was renamed as Neimat Abdullah Arena and the capacity was increased to 108,112. The Neimat Abdullah Arena also became the public execution grounds of Natives in Indusse. The Dari Supressed Native Freedom Fighters were beheaded, hanged and shot dead at these grounds. After the Independence, the stadium was renamed as IFA Stadium and held the nation's first independence day celebrations. After a few years, it was renamed to Aditya Varma Kulashekara International Stadium and the capacity was increased to 131,561. The Government then also decided to set up a monument for the natives who were killed by the supression. The Divya Azadi Stambh (Divine Freedom Pillar) located in the stadium complex is the so called monument. This Pillar is an important part of the nation's independence day celebrations.

Recent history

The Starsian football team has undergone various changes but has lost its past, the generation of pioneers were loved by alot of people and seeing all those new names is sometimes tough.
Beyond that some players were forced out of the team due to their age aswell to make room for rookies to gain experience while their last chance to show their skill was disappearing, this was what created this new Starsian side to bring justice to the past generation and to show the old guard was not done yet.
A group of pre-pioneer players has brought this idea to those willing to do it and as a result today marks the creation of the Starsian Grand Masters team where veterans once again are amongst eachother.

Currently the process of choosing players and deciding a playstyle and tactic is ongoing and we expect alot more history to come from this newly created team, you after all are only as old as you believe you are.

Tactical Set-Up

The Starsian side is a very skilled team with a very high team chemistry and morale but unlike their younger counterparts these veterans can not rely on their speed or power.
They look to new opportunities and tend to be the smarter players, players on this team have a high soccer IQ and are very well aware of what they can and can't do and use this to their advantage.
Their playstyle currently consists around very precise passing, good communication and using their experience to anticipate and read their opponents who have not achieved this skill yet.
Further the players on the team here are more calm, relaxed and rarely get cards or fouls but this does not mean that they don't make fouls, they just make less and avoid dangerous plays preferrably.

Left Corner Taker: Julian Saturn
Right Corner Taker: Julian Saturn
Penalties: Maximillian Flare
Direct FK Taker: Troy Rockwell
Indirect FK Taker: Troy Rockwell
Most likely to foul/be booked: Troy Rockwell
Most likely to shoot: Maximillian Flare
Most likely to score from close-range: Maximillian Flare
Most likely to score from long-range: Maximillian Flare
Most likely to be fouled: Doran Corson
Most likely to attempt the spectacular: Doran Corson

Star players

Julian Saturn
One of the former Starsian ace defenders Julian Saturn who also knows his stuff as a coach has decided to join the team and step on the field once again to compete.
He is a calculated and smart player able to read offensive patterns and is good with tactics which makes him very wanted as a coach for any top team in the nation to aim for a better team altogether, however he hasn't given up on his own career yet finding the veteran team a good way to show more of what he can do.
He is seen as the current defensive leader and also the vice captain of the team, he was one of the first pioneers after world cup qualifiers 88 to back out and move to coaching.

Doran Corson
This guy always knows to impress with his technique, he used to be really fast too but as he aged this speed no longer is considered a weapon but his game intelligence makes him a real threat.
His passing across the lines can create a more dynamic flow in the game but he can also still solo opponents if he really wants to even though it costs him more effort then it used to.
He is seen as the technical midfielder that always seems to fall prey to physical defenders that foul him, he does get his team alot of free kicks this way though.

Troy Rockwell
Valerian is a good player but his predecessor Rockwell was an evenly iconic appearance, unlike him Rockwell was physically strong, a real leader but sometimes easily frustrated and hot headed.
For this reason he was never considered captain material but he is still a driving force and leading player in the squad as the commander of the midfield and he aims with this team to re-invent himself.
Unlike his counterparts his power is still there, he may have gotten slower but he is still stronger and more experienced then any of the competitors making him a great addition to the starting eleven.

Maximillian Flare
A few years ago he was still playing for the senior team and playing in the world cup and retired very late due to the fans demanding a longer stay then originally wanted.
He was one of the last pioneers to leave the team, his departure caused huge uproar and criticism from all sides however everyone knew he was getting older and even if he did not make the starting eleven he was a legend.
Now the legend has a chance of revival, he is the man in the front of the veteran team he will have to score goals and many of them to lead his team to sounding victories just as he helped the rookies earlier.
Flare originally wanted to quit but the thought of a reunion with his old friends got him on board, a chance to once more play on the world stage with his old friends was too tempting to refuse.
For his leadership, his motivation and dedication all those years he has been chosen as captain for this team.

Nation: Montaña Verde
Trigram: MVE
Adjective/demonym: Verdean
Team nickname: Condors

Coach: Tesira Jauna Barragán (48)
Assistant coach: Edelberto Romero Gutiérrez

Tesira Barragán is the first female coach in the history of the FMVdF. Her assistant coach has a familiar name: it's Edelberto, who captained the first Condors side to compete in the World Cup. The Condors have now had more coaches than they have won IAC playoff matches, but Tesira Barragán, a former player with Calequén and known more for cultivating young talents than working well with veterans, gets another chance after a strong group stage at IAC19 that was followed by another Round of 16 defeat; hopefully Edelberto's presence will soothe any injured egos on the part of the older players she may look to move on. Tactically flexible and hands-off in training, she prefers to observe and won't often be seen remonstrating with players -- but will have plenty of words for officials should decisions not go her team's way.

Squad: It can generally be assumed the players number 1 – 11 will start, 12 – 26 be matchday squad reserves; but there will be a certain amount of rotation. So long as you’re sensible and unless I’ve RPed otherwise, you can RP my team lineup with some variation.
  • Men and women play together in Montaña Verde. To avoid pronoun confusion, female players are marked in pink.
  • The league is fairly new as a result of restructuring following independence, but many of the clubs date back decades and have entrenched traditions and rivalries.
  • Fútbol is a tremendously popular sport in the country, rivalling Catholicism for the national religion, but limited overseas exposure means the standard is not especially high.
  • Speaking of not being especially high, Montaña Verde is one of the shortest [human] populations in the world. While there are one or two tall players, in general men and women are very short.
  • Players are not egregiously dirty in terms of violence or deliberate fouling, but enjoy a good tactical dive now and then.
  • The bolded name or “nickname” should be used when referring to players and staff.
  • All players are domestic unless otherwise stated. While I normally conduct transfers through the Transfer Window, if you wish to sign one of my players they are usually available, especially if it links to an RP arc. Send a TG/DM to ask.

Goalkeepers:

1. Benito Venegas “Ingeniero” (28) – Santa Margarita Riopel
12. Moises Luque (29) – Deportivo Zaracas
23. Nora Paz Yepes (29) – Olimpia La Limana

Ingeniero takes over the numero uno jersey; Moises's long serving backer isn't especially tall but he is a decent shot-stopper and can play the ball out with his feet well.

Right backs:

2. Amira Villaseñor Lozano (19) – Bukesquera
14. Luisa Ocampo “Carabalava” (32) – Deportivo Zaracas

A bold new choice at right back as the talented young Lozano is preferred to veteran Carabalava. Like most Verdean full backs she is an attacking wing back threat who offers more with the ball at her feet, dribbling and whipping in crosses (and the occasional spectacular long range strike) than off the ball in defense. Carabalava won't let anyone down but has lost a step of pace.

Left backs:

6. Jimena “Esteriña” Alonso (25) – Image Sareña FC
16. Vicente Alguacil Pomar (23) – Santa Margarita Riopel

Esteriña's blazing pace and amazing free-kick skills have endeared her to Verdean fans fast in her rapid ascent from youth football to NT starting left wingback. Alguacil is a more solid defender but doesn't have the pace to match.

Center backs:

3. Valentín “Tíntín” del Pozo (28) – Image Olympique Isbècque
4. Auxano Raya Vega (20) – Image Holdenberg City
13. Sebastián Gayoso Cambeiro (30) – Calequén
22. Jael Gamez Lira “Jaime” (23) – Calequén
26. Yrko Arreola (20) – Image Real Santa Mordana

Tíntín was always a reserve behind Mandito and Cambeiro, but given his excellent skills and their habitual failings it's a wonder he hasn't worked his way into the starting lineup sooner. He is, however, very short by CB standards. He's joined by young talent Auxano Vega, who has almost everything you could want from a centerback: composure, upper body strength, good football IQ, leadership, can play the ball out - if only his "growth spurt" hadn't seen him go from 5'0" to... 5'1". Unlike Auxano Vega, Yrko is seriously tall, but he doesn't have the same skillset as his small former U18 NT teammate. He's mostly a physical presence, good at tackling and holding up play, less suited to distributing the ball out. Please don't call him "Arreola". Cambeiro is still around as an experienced hand on the bench, even with Adriana and Mandito dropped. Jaime impressed his coach at Calequén with his tackling, pace, and ability to reach the top shelf.

Holding midfielders:

5. Marcos “Coco” Fernán (31) – Image Kingsbury United – Vice Captain
8. Naomí Schutzán (28) – Image Chenoworth Harriers
15. Israel Pardo Ureña (26) – Image Air Anjung FC
21. Ana Sofia Toledo Rosado (21) – Image Küsbon Town

No real change here at what has emerged as the team's strength. Schutzán is a fabulous long deep-lying playmaker with wonderful vision and passing ability, Coco the more traditional destroyer though he’s very capable with the ball at his feet and isn’t just an enforcer. Cristo Díaz was a fixture of every squad from the Verdeans' international debut but has finally retired, leaving a space among the reserves for Ana Sofia Toledo, a battling holding midfielder in the Verdean tradition of small, scrappy sweepers: a jaguarhearted leader who makes up for not being abundantly talented with real commitment and drive. Israel is another traditional defensive midfielder, tough-tackling and very fit, less skilled at distribution.

Attacking midfielders:

10. Thomás “Primitivo” Ceballos Cantú (34) – Image Kingston FC – Captain
11. Aramis Navarro Najera (31) – Image CSKA Quebec – Third Captain
17. Ezequiel “Zico” Rodríguez Villareal (23) – Deportivo Launia
19. Federica “Rica” Loya Segura (18) – Image Jucuacanos Silver Surfers
20. Morgana Carrillo Munguia (26) – Image Dunkirk Athletic
25. Voltaire Hernandez (23) – Image Liria Prizren

The attacking half of the midfield also stays the same, with two of the Condors' best players still going fairly strong in the Q-League. Aramis will tend to drift into a central role, distributing and bringing the ball forward to open up rapid attacks, and is capable of playing a physical role, slotting in just behind Primitivo. There’s nothing “primitive” about the play of the midfield general. Bigger than most of his teammates, his strong physicality can be deceptive as he has a silky touch off both feet. And watch out for his wicked curling strikes if there’s a free-kick in the vicinity of goal. Zico is more of a true winger who has a great turn of speed but doesn't score as many goals as his silky play would suggest he should. Short, bouncy, energetic, Rica despite her lack of size possesses a rocket of a left boot and is a "free kick specialist" in the sense that she hits one screamer every couple of seasons and misses the rest. Morgana is a good, busy playmaker who's strong on the ball but lacks a bit of creative flair in the final third. Her quirky attitude has quickly endeared her to her teammates. The most exciting talent on the roster is the mysterious Voltaire Hernandez, an enigmatic talent who’s burst onto the scene only in the last season but has yet to really establish himself in Mytanija.

Forwards:

7. Hector “Halcón” Alarcón (26) – Image AOPIC Greens
9. Othello Rojo Orellana (25) – Caralanian Caralania
18. Odile Tejada Valdivia “Valda” (26) – Deportivo Launia
22. Aldous “Goliat” Madrid Macías (19) – Image SK Franz Josef City
24. Clementino Ezequiel “Tino” Velásquez Casares (29) – Image Straton FC

Halcón is a fearsome poacher; Tino a more complete forward but primarily a goal-scorer without much interest in assisting others; Othello and Goliat are "Ositiños", successors to legendary striker Osito, inasmuch as both are very tall and on a very good day can kick the ball vaguely in the direction of the goal. Valda is an incisive finisher but quite lethargic about putting in effort across the field.

TEAM HISTORY
At long last, the Elite Eleven have been catapulted into the sun, far far away from the Kick Corps. Now, a "real" form of the Kick Corps is back. There's bound to be some growing pains, but all of these players are elite athletes who've been plying their trade in the DLK and abroad for the past few years. Now that the national team is back to normal, they finally have a chance to don the black and red and compete for their nation. A few familiar faces, freshened by the gift of immortality, have returned. Due to her familiarity with Corps play (and no small amount of "aggressive persuasion"), former Corps player/immortal warrior/co-founder of Drawkland/elf Ellzidan will serve as the manager. Her job was in question, until she managed the Corps to their third World Cup knockout appearance in history. Now she's got a bit of a looser leash, though many still consider her an extended interim hire.
The lineup for this IAC is mostly shuffled to give backups and potential future cycle starters a chance to get more playing time, with the immortals riding the bench until a strong second wind is needed. Drawkland will always play to win, but don't be surprised if there's questionable play on display.
Drawkian soccer, and indeed, sporting in general, is mostly offensive-minded. This is reflected in the style indicator and in the formation. Drawkian soccer has not really been exposed to outside influences, and thus may look or feel strange to those used to "normal" football. Nevertheless, the players are still good at what they do, and prize in an enduring game, moving the ball around nearly constantly and keeping energy going, aiming to tire out the opposing team. Of course, Drawkians aren't humans, but you can read about that elsewhere. Drawkian Soccer is a female-only sport. This is because Gridiron Football is all-male, and the other two major sports, Baseball and Basketball, are mixed-gender. If there's anything a Drawkian loves, it's even formats and symmetric paradigms, hence why things shook out like they did.

As far as these go, I'm fair game for anything. You should know what is and isn't drastic RP, and if you think your RP is on the drastic side, TG me first. But I'm still basically up for anything.
I'd like to request that injuries or cards don't do anything outside of the scope of a single game or maybe 2. Don't want anything tournament or cycle-ending.

Home Stadium

French name: Stade national de la montagne de l'ours
English name: Bear Mountain National Stadium
Capacity: 11,569
Location: Port Saint-Jean, Île de Richelieu

Image

The Stade national de la montagne de l'ours has been build specifically for international matches. Île de Richelieu's population is 928, so, with a capacity of 11,569, a little more than 10,000 foreign football fans can attend the games!

The stadium has 3 stands. East Side stand, West Side stand and North Endline Stand. There is a small VIP stand on the south endline and the pressbox is located on the south endline as well. The stadium has lights on the four corners so evening games can be played. The stadium doesn't have a video board, nor a scoreboard.

Île de Richelieu (formerly known as Jan Mayen Island) was discovered by Dutch explorers early in the 17th century and served as a whaling base until it was abandonned. France claimed the island in the 19th century and renamed it Île de Richelieu (Richelieu Island) but the island's jurisdiction was finally given to Norway. The French speaking majority, led by the clergy, declared the independence of Île de Richelieu in 1948.

Île de Richelieu's population is 928. The largest city and capital city is Port Saint-Jean and more than the half of the island's population lives in the city (534). The city have a few upscale restaurants along with fast food restaurants and some local pubs. Beer is largely consumed on the island and Richelois likes to get around at the local pub after work.

The island only have one hotel and it may cause a problem if 10,000 football fans are coming. The only hotel on the island is a 124 room SpringHill Suites by Marriott located in the old Port Saint-Jean and half of hotel will be reserved for the visiting team (players, staff and media) who will have 50 rooms at their disposal. The remaining rooms (74) will be sold at a high price for football fans. The island also has a dozen of guesthouses that ranges from 1 to 8 rooms each. Football fans will have to bring their tents and sleeping bags and camp on the outskirts of the town!

île de Richelieu has a hyperoceanic polar climate with a Köppen classification of ET (polar with tundra), sometimes reckoned as EM (maritime polar). Seasonal temperature variations are extremely small considering the latitude of the island, with ranges from around 6 °C (43 °F) in July/August to −4 °C (25 °F) in February/March. The highest recorded temperature in the summer was 18.1 °C (64.6 °F) in june and the lowest recorded temperature was -28.4 °C (-19.1 °F) in february. Being located inside the arctic circle, île de Richelieu experiences sun light almost all day long in the summer and darkness almost all day long in the winter.

West Barack and East Obama National Football Team

A Brief History of Obaman Football

Football as a sport is prohibited in West Barack and East Obama, along with other team sports such as cricket, rugby and paintball. This is because the prevalence team sports has a strong correlation to organised crime, violence and political dissidents, so all attempts at forming groups are prohibited. However, West Barack and East Obama has established an official national football team to help promote Obaman values on the international stage.

The West Barack and East Obama National Football Team has seen many highs and lows. The upcoming Independent Associations' Championship, following an absence last cycle, will be the first major competition the Obamen will take on following a highly successful run in the World Cup finals last round, where they surprised giants such as Mytanija and Chromatika to almost claim a shock Round of 16 appearance. With the WBEO team finally gelling, perhaps ironically given the circumstances of its formation, they are hoping to break a string of disappointing IAC performances to continue to show the world what they're capable of.

The Coaching Team

Head Coach: Buck Obamafinakis
Assistant Coach: Tuck Obamafinakis
Goalkeeping Coach: Chuck Obamafinakis

The Obamafinakis brothers are legendary throughout Southeast Obama. Known for their law firm 'Obamafinakis, Obamafinakis & Obamafinakis', these triplets are known for their expert litigation skills and have reduced countless death penalty sentences to paltry life imprisonment with hard labour and without parole sentences. Now, they're putting their persuasive skills and tactical knowledge to the real test by continuing their role as the coaching staff of the West Barack and East Obama national team for the World Cup. Rumours that they were forced to take the job so that the government can distract them away from practicing law to better suppress dissidents are still false.

The Players

The players of the football team have been selected based on a variety of factors. The team that has been selected is the one that will maximise winning in competitions whilst minimising the possibility of bonds and teamwork being formed.

Goalkeeper: Dwayne Obama, 37

Captain Dwayne Obama is a fighter pilot for the Glorious Obama Air Forces. Known as 'Dwayne, Destroyer of Planes', Obama has taken down more enemy aircraft and blown up more secessionist state hospitals than can be counted. His reflexes and quick thinking helps him to get out of sticky situations, and his incredible muscles from intensive training means he can stop a powerful ball with just his pinky. The perfect goalkeeper candidate.

Left Centre Back: Trent Vobama, 38 (Captain)

Trent Vobama is the venerable captain of the team. His performance in the ODI World Trophy led to his call up for the football team, with many applauding his leadership and wondering if this old dog has some tricks up his sleeve. A very respectable figure, Trent's experience as a PE teacher will help him command the team to a victory.

Centre Back: Barack Denovitz, 30

A feared mob enforcer in downtown New Barack City, the Obamafinakis brothers convinced the Obaman courts to let Denovitz out for the competition, and if he succeeds could earn 10 years off his 150 year sentence (with hard labour). The definition of a hard man, he doesn't tackle, he just scares them away. Suspended on his international debut and he'd do it all over again.

Right Centre Back: Bark Obamallama, 32

Door-to-door llama salesman Bark Obamallama has really thick skin. You'll need it to if your day was spent dodging llama spit and verbal abuse from disinterested buyers. Described as being devoid of any emotions, Obamallama will have no second thoughts about ending that opponent's career with a devastating (but legal) slide tackle.

Left Wide Midfielder: Jenny Barracki, 28

Being a professional sprinter, Jenny Barracki is the fastest woman alive. In West Barack and East Obama. She can outrun most of her opponents down the wing, delivering crosses to waiting strikers. Also, she's great at fielding in cricket. Is there anything this woman can't do?

Left Central Midfielder: Harvey Chobamya, 29

Harvey Chobamya is not your average gym bro. He spends all of his days and nights on the treadmill at Anytime Obama in New Barack City, as well as doing all of the leg and feet exercises. The strongest lower body in the whole of the nation, he can send balls out of the stadium with just a slight tap. Leg day skips this guy.

Central Midfielder: Wolfgang Obamadeus-Mozart, 25

Better known by his pseudonym "DJ Momo" of the rap duo "Momo and the Obamasaurus", Obamadeus-Mozart has very unpredictable movement patterns to match his crazy beats. He can bamboozle, flabbergast and dumbfound any of his opponents to get the ball from one end of the pitch to the other. Finally reinstated into the team following his suspension and subsequent disappearance from the public eye, here's to hoping all that time was spent on honing his skills to boss midfields!

Right Central Midfielder: Charles Obama, 28

Royal Butler to The One and Only Barack Horatio Obama, Charles Obama is also a very skilled footballer. A holding midfielder, there's no room for nonsense when this guy's on the pitch. His commanding presence and knack for providing service to his fellow players will come into handy.

Right Wide Midfielder: Brett Pogama, 30

Brett Pogama has a lot of sports experience, participating in one of the most popular sports in the country (since team sports were banned) in greyhound racing. He plays the role of the rabbit, where he has to run as fast as he can to escape a pack of vicious greyhounds. Most of the time he gets out with only a flesh wound or two, showcasing his excellence for evading opponents to bring a ball into the box.

Left Centre Forward: Lily Chobamya, 20

Sister to Harvey Chobamya, Lily is good at free kicks and penalties. Inbetween her courses at Frederick Obamatown National Health University, she practices her set pieces, which aren't technically illegal as there's only one player playing. She can't do much else, but if you foul someone, say bye bye to your fragile lead.

Right Centre Forward: Fred Olibama, 31

Fred Olibama is one powerful forward. He is a cobbler by day, but in his spare time makes some of the best sports shoes known to man. Being both the striker and the kit guy for the team, his experience in bring in the shoes of a footballer will definitely be a big help to the team.

TROLLEBORG NATIONAL TEAM

Nickname: Trolls

Team usually prefer to play in green, with white and red versions as a backup. All three was obvious choice, since they all are present at the national flag. Blue color is one that associated with medieval color of arms of the time when Trolleborg undergo a great test of strength, but used very rare.

Image

NATIONAL TEAM

All in all, our team play 452 international games, 244 of them won, 86 ended in draws and 112 times our lads was defeated. In the IAC team won 48 games, with 8 draws and 19 defeats, with 113 goals scored and 49 conceded.

The team start at IAC was quite difficult, but then our lads consistently progressed, showing better and better results, reached the final three times, but several years ago began to suffer setbacks that are difficult to explain in terms of common sense. It will be seen, are this trend can be broken.

COACH

63-years old Morten Troghil lead team since its debut almost twelve years ago. Decorated coach at a club level, he was voted in office when team was assembled for the first time, and both general public and coaches give him vote of confidence every time after that.

PLAYERS

GOALKEEPERS

Morten Kerr (31 years old). This is very skilful and intelligent player, who take a way from the U21 team to the national one by virtue of his reflexes, bravery and clear reading of the game. But his team have unconvicing season so far, and this negative influenced his chances to play as number one.
Buyo (26). One of the people who migrate into Trolleborg after country open himself to the world ten years ago, he is right now established player of the national team. Not tall for a goalkeeper, but very fast, brave and jumpy, he made a strong impression in both club and national team, and at the some points was close to the status of number one, improve his record for a national team and right now his good and consistent form in the Trolleborg League give him another real chance to be regular keeper in national team.

DEFENDERS

Torstein Bjerkelund (27). Right defender was part of the “Finn Hurps” squad that twice won Confederations Trophy, he prove that he doesn't get frightened when he has to fight for the ball with stronger and more experienced players. He also prove this at the national team.
Hendrick Haar (26). Relatively new face in the Trolleborg national team defence line, he is right defender of the traditionally preferred mold – good tackler, fast moving, joining attack when have opportunity. But he have a difficult times in fighting with Bjerkelund for a spot in the lineup
Joran Du Riis (34). Cold-blooded fighter prove that he more than capable holding his own at the highest level. Agile and fast-moving, but solidly builded and used this for his advantage, he play with composure and responsibility, for a half-dozen of years he was a key player of the Trolleborg defence. Right now, however, he considered as a solid backup on a rainy day or situations when his experience will be vital. He was a captain of the team last few years, but, probably, not this season.
William Schendel (30). This versatile fast moving defender known for his skillful positioning and man-marking, highly effective in breaking opposition attacks, great in the heading, with incredible high crosses-interception rate. He also added many new tricks and skills while playing in the international football both in national and club team.
Brutil Liis (26). International club tournaments give our team another new man: very complete defender – quick, disciplined and decisive, great in one-to-one duels and reading game good, he is also thoughful passer.
Thomas Heg (27). This versatile defender can play as both central or left defender, but head coach of national team prefer to use him as central, usually paired with Schendel. His movements are sure and quick, he is masterful when intercepting ball and excellent in the air. He did what he have to do in the recent tournaments, but this did not bring too much luck to the team.
Joran Rijsager (30). Left defender or central defender as coach see fit, he concedes nothing to rivals and rarely makes a mistakes in local league, and he improve his performance on the international level recently.
Joos Haankrands (27). Left defender, agile and fast, he have an extremely good record in the local league, but many voices are heard that he needed to change club to play in ICT’s and acquire much needed experience.

MIDFIELDERS

Jesper Gronholm (31). Long-established member of the team, he was comfortable at the right flank as midfielder and winger, willingly join any move forward, where he pass ball quickly and thoughtfully, and sometimes shot at goal with a very decent results. His performance recenly was good, but not as good as fans wanted him to be.
Anselm Kollimor (29). By his main profession he is attack-minded right-side midfielder. His runs into the box of rival teams is always dangerous. But he have a tough fight for the spot at the team lineup, since he has to compete with Jesper Gronholm.
Jesper Wolters (29). Quick, skillful and creative, this central midfielder covers a lot of ground, taking part in defensive work and joining attacks willingly. But not everything he did in the international football is as good as team needs in current dire circumstances.
Brutil Skrta (29). Very complete player, who posessed ability, stamina, flair, technique and resoluteness in just perfect mix. Shows tremendous accuracy when passing, fine distant shooting skills, he moved very fast and prove his talents in almost every tournament. But something lacked in his game at the international level.
Torben Pangborn (28) Skilful central left midfielder, whose great speed allows him to outpace opponents and break through rival defences. His talents allow him to make a lot of scoring chances for the team, and due to his speed he is very useful in the counter-attacks.
Kenneth Pathmoor (30). This central midfielder can cover a lot of space in the middle of the field and with his pace, agility and an eye for goal he willingly can find net himself or conjure goal opportunity for his forwards.
Casper Sogndal (26). One of the new faces in the team, this left winger clearly try to emulate best performers of our national team, and did real well in the club international tournaments.
Kasper Windass (29). Broad and strong left midfielder, he looked a little bit sluggish when moving without ball, but everything changes when he have it. Then he moved extremely fast, sweeping away everything in its path due to his mighty build and usually ended move with a clever pass. Troghil don’t pick him for a two last WCQ, but decide to give him another try

FORWARDS

Torben Kranforde (30). Very fast forward, who have special ability to surprise rival defenders. He also posessed a great skill of positioning himself very well, and regularly sent many defenders and goalkeepers into despair with his precise and deadly shots from both feet. He won many individual and teams accolades of the Trolleborg league, score many goals at international level, but, nevertheless, this don’t give team any tangible successes.
Gerard Reuzer (28). This tall and sturdy forward was again, after long hiatus, called to the national team. With addition to the good dribbling skills he controls ball well and can shot from either feet or holding ball up until his teammated arrived. He also can contribute to the team efforts by his good headers and do this rather convincingly in the recent games both on the national and international scene.
Kendall Kerl (28). This power forward proved himself very effective (if judged by recent international club tournaments) in front of goals. Physically strong, so he don’t have need to shies away from collusions, but usually he prefer to concentrate on his prime functions, and he also blessed by great technoque, so scores a lot of goals from just one touch.
Morten Kroonquist (31). This fast forward known for intensity of his game, and he is capable to maintain workrate in all 90 minutes. With enviable quickeness he moved very fast, turns very well, constantly pressurized rival defenders, with or without balls, and always trying winning back posession. He score many goals for a national team recently, and everyone agrees, that he never taken things on the field lightly, always play as good he only can, but team chances, unfortunately, doesn’t improve from this.
Torstein Troghils (29). He stands out for his powerful header, helped by great jump and precious skill of placing himself well, and he also shoots well from both feets. In addition to other talents, this player can be labeled as specialist in controlling ball in difficult positions.

TEAM TACTICS AND GAME STYLE

Team continue practiced attractive attacking game on a fast pace. Usually he use 4-4-2 against stronger opponents, with a defenders move forwards as need arise, or usually 3-5-2 with wingers move back and forth as situation dictates. Team always try to use pressing when ball is not on our side.

Unsportsmanlike behavior in Trolleborg is highly discouraged, even – and especially – if in the interests of the cause. National team players are required to meet the highest standards possible, so it is completely impossible to imagine a player of the Trolleborg national team faking injury or begging for a penalty. It is expected that players who have a choice between faked fall and appeal for penalty and try to continue game choice latter without any doubts. Compromises impossible.

Style –5.
No, there was no confusion, team played attacking football on the field, while having negative style modifier for a scorinating purposes.

My opponent, if they RP first, may do the following:
Choose my goalscorers: Yes
Godmod scoring events: No
RP injuries to my players: Yes, but I reserve right to estimate injury severeness.
Godmod injuries to my players: No
Hand out yellow cards to my players: Yes
Hand out red cards to my players: Yes only for a last ditch fouls or two yellows, any other variants must be discussed with me.
Godmod other events: Generally no, but if you have something interesting in mind, let me know and we try to find a middle ground. In accordance with remark about unsportsmanlike behaviour above any insinuations about dishonest behavior of players, fistfights, dirty play, or pressure on the referee on the part of Trolleborg team is counted as Godmod and needed to be discussed.

OUR FANS

Fans is a pride of Trolleborg and almost part of the team. They always are arrived in big crowds where fate take our national team, but never have started any trouble.

Postby The Elder Lands » Sat Jan 13, 2024 8:29 am

The Elder Lands are not a place you will find on any map of Sonnel, nor will you find them listed among destinations at hubs of transportation. Instead, should you wish to reach these lands, turn away from the highways and airports of the mundane world. Wander into the desolate places of the world, deserts, seas, forests. Perhaps you may find nothing but the aching solitude of nature. Or perhaps, you will wander further than you though, and find yourself in a land of broad fields and dark woods. A land of mountains that walk, and trees that speak. Where the fair folk in all their kinds hold sway, and where many a mortal has found their wildest dreams or their worst nightmares. It is a land some never return from, or if they do, they are forever changed and cannot fully express what they have seen to those they once loved, if indeed they can remember their time in the Elder Lands at all.

The Elder Lands are a strange world, not part of, but neither wholly separate from the mortal realms of Sonnel. Their shape and bounds are inconsistent, as the land is constantly influenced by those who inhabit it. The Elder Lands are the home of the Fey, and those who know it best realize that the land and its people are in fact one and the same, different embodiments of the same set of collective wills. As for the Fey themselves, they are likewise a strange people, lovers of rule and ritual. They are effectively immortal, untouched by age or disease. They can be killed, though it is certainly not easy, and many do eventually tire of life and allow themselves to return to the magical energy which sustains the Elder Lands. There are many legends concerning their nature. It is often said, for instance, that Fey cannot lie, though they will readily mislead, and that any pact entered into between Fey and Mortal is unbreakable. It is also said that any who gains the knowledge of a particular fey’s true name may command them in anything, and for this reason such names are closely guarded. There are five main groups of Fey in the Elder Lands: Eladrin, Gnomes, Pixies, Trolls, and Archfey, the five most powerful of which are known as The Eldest.

The entire roster of Fey players attending the tournament, however, is composed of gnomes. Gnomes are short in stature, generally between 2 and 4 feet high, though their liking for bizarre hairstyles often makes them appear taller than they really are. Their appearances can vary considerably, as extreme hair colors are as common, if not more so than those considered natural among mortals. Some sport beards that flow down to drag on the ground, while others are smooth-cheeked. Their most consistent traits as a group are a fondness for underground spaces, and a childlike fascination with new and extreme experiences. They tend to pass away when they can't think of anything else interesting to do, and boredom is a serious emergency for any gnome. A gnome might, for instance, take it into their head to journey to mortal lands and sit motionless in some family’s back garden for months before inexplicably disappearing. Another might spend their time climbing to the top of every single tree in a particular forest. Others might go so far as to band together to join an international football tournament. The composition of the team speaks to the gnomish hunger for new experiences, though also to the disinterest in the mortal world typical of trolls and eladrin, and the fact that even the largest pixies are barely tall enough to peer over a football. As for archfey, they are so few, and so capricious, that none of the gnomes who came up with the idea of attending the tourney had the courage to approach one.

RP PERMISSIONS
If my opponent roleplays first, they may:
Choose my starting lineup: Y
Choose my goalscorers: Y
Godmod scoring events: Y
RP injuries to my players: Y
Godmod injuries to my players: Y
Hand out yellow cards to my players: Y
Hand out red cards to my players: Y
Godmod other events: Y
RP note: This team of gnomes is prone to doing ill-advised or unexpected things so long as they seem fun or interesting. The gnomes also regard positions as more suggestions than assignments, and have no manager as such, with whichever players are on the bench shouting suggestions sometimes in unison, other times in conflict
Style Modifier: +5

Bellwether - Goalkeeper - 52 - Barely more than a child by Fey standards, but tallish as gnomes reckon at 3'10". You may think it a problem that he is thus slightly less than half the height of a regulation football goal, but he is known among the Fey as a prodigious leaper, able to hop from the ground to the top of a tall pine tree and back in the blink of an eye. Also one of the few players with the discipline and attention span to actually stay in the net rather than chase the play up and down the field.

Bodkin - Outfielder - 325 - Bodkin is reckless even by gnomish standards, flinging himself into the play with wild abandon. At home, one of his favorite pastimes is something he calls "troll dancing." It consists of pestering a troll as much as possible and dodging its furious attempts to crush him. So far, he's undefeated.

Chicane - Outfielder - 282 - Very fond of both posing and solving puzzles and riddles. She insists this makes her an excellent defender, but she's never really been able to explain the reasoning behind that. She's also kind of slow on the backtrack, so it's hard to put her assertion to the test.

Numbles - Outfielder - 266 - Numbles likes to kick the ball hard. His friends are working on getting him to focus more on caring about the direction, but it's a work in progress. Still, he did one score directly from a goal kick in training, so that's something.

Piepowder - Outfielder - 444? - Piewpowder has been telling people he's 444 for as long as anyone can remember. 4 is, of course, his favorite number, and he had a lot of trouble deciding whether to wear the number 4 or 44 on his kit. In the end he decided to wear two kits, one over the other, and thus claim both numbers. Hopefully this won't cause any trouble with the officials.

Wodger - Outfielder - 250 - Wodger's favorite thing to do is to dance, and they are good friends with a number of eladrin and pixies who share that interest. They insist that football is just a type of dance, and are continually frustrated with their teammates for being ungraceful, off-rhythm, and just generally not dance-y enough. Very literally an artistic dribbler.

Scapegrace - Outfielder - 764 - Quite old for a gnome, as most of their kind have quite run out of interesting things to do by the time they've reached Scapegrace's age. She calls herself the most creative gnome to ever live, and is continually coming up with new ideas and plans, each more farfetched than the last.

Yoicks - Outfielder - 438 - Yoicks insists that she's going to become the sixth Eldest someday. No one on the team is quite sure how the Eldest got to be the Eldest in the first place, so they generally try to be encouraging of her. In the meantime, Yoicks thinks winning a football championship might be a decent accolade on her path, so she's one of the most motivated and hardworking on the team.

Swoopstake - Outfielder - 261 - Swoopstake is the fastest gnome. Not the fastest gnome on the team, the fastest gnome, period. Some have said that Swoopstake is so fast that she can run across the surface of a pond, but no one's seen her do it outside of winter. Still, she made it across that ice pretty darn quickly and only fell once.

Kickshaw - Outfielder - 339 - Kickshaw says he can run forever, but a lot of forever has already happened, and he wasn't running for all of it, so how can he really run forever if he's already missed out on some running time. Also, there was a time before Kickshaw even existed, so how does that work? Still, running without stopping for the rest of time that exists is something new, so maybe that's what he means. Is he running right now?

Gardyloo - Outfielder - 143 - Gardyloo makes a collects shoes, and so far has had a new set of boots for each match and practice. Trouble is they're sometimes a bit concerned about messing up their footwear, and so they've gotten very good at playing the ball from the knee, chest, and head.

Pouncet - Goalkeeper - 440 - Pouncet has spent most of his life sitting in people's gardens, and occasionally getting in fights with rabbits. He's even won a few of those. On this team, anyone who can stand in one place for more than one minute at a time is a grade-A goalkeeping prospect.

Beefwit - Outfielder - 191 - Beefwit has a particular fondness for loud noises which has him sometimes aiming for the frame of the goal rather than the net. This also extends to his voice, which is a baritone bellow that belies his 2'6" frame.

Grampus - Outfielder - 552 - Grampus spent almost their whole life singing in the court of one of the Eldest. Just recently they quite suddenly got very bored with it all though. It was touch and go for a while, but luckily Wodger, who had occasionally danced in the same court, came along just in the nick of time and told them a bit about footballing chants. Grampus is now determined to learn every chant there is, so that should keep them going for a while longer.

Fizgig - Outfielder - 172 - They are working on learning to play while walking on their hands so that their feet are more free for kicking. Everyone has explained to them multiple times that this is against the rules, but they still practice it when they think no one else is looking.

Snowbrowth - Outfielder - 431 - Snowbrowth fancies herself a tactician, and often stays on the bench to try to gameplan for the team rather than get out on the field. She's a bit shy, however, and usually whispers her suggestions to Beefwit rather than yell them out herself. They get a bit garbled along the way sometimes, which is a shame because she really does have a pretty good sense for the game.

The Ballad of Pokey Fayle
1/6: Pokey In The Auld Triangle
How two of the best players in the Reps’ young Indy squad almost never made it to the tournament; the action herein occuring after the World Cup triumph and before the start of the IAC competition.

The Head Gaoler of the Valley, Mangald Alddynum, liked to keep his inmates fit and well and busy. He believed in a culture of routine, a focus on health and a system not of punishment but of “a composite physiological method comprising hydrotherapy, phototherapy, thermotherapy, electrotherapy, mechanotherapy, rectotherapy, dinotherapy, football, and dry cereals.” [1] Naturally he was especially proud of the Valley’s reoffending statistics which at less than 12% were amongst the lowest reported in all the ringworld[2]; and of Enor Perro, perhaps his greatest individual success as the first professional footballer from the Valley, captain and player/joint head coach of the Representatives, and World Cup winner. Enor had been through the system and was in fact still on parole when he went to the Baptism of Fire ’78 and won a professional contract at Rülândéá Kôstä in Farfadillis. Data protection, The Offender Rehabilitation Act of 2014 and my lack of imagination prevent me from disclosing why Enor Perro was serving at the pleasure of The Delte River Trust (the de facto governing institution of the Valley), although a story in the last World Cup describing The Representatives as ‘the postman, the picklock and the pensioner’ perhaps offers some clue.

Recently, Gaoler Alddynum had more reason to be excited. Of his nine current inmates at the Auld Triangle - the adult male gaol for the Valley, not far from Oswark-upon-Delte - one was showing up as a particular prospect, perhaps on the level that young Enor was when he was permitted to go to Farfadillis and/or Mertagne for the BoF. His name was Floyd ‘Pokey’ Fayle, he was 19, a great big fellow for his age, not very bright, a potential career criminal, an accomplished stringed and picked instrument musician, and a boxing, basketball & football prodigy. There was only one problem, as you may have guessed from his name. That’s right. He was a Screvenor - an incomer from the Screve Valley, the next one along from the Delte Valley. Oh dear. Those recalcitrant recidivists.

Reçueçn Roster & National Information

Image
Image
National Team Information

Reçueçn is back--not in the World Cup, maybe, but at least they're playing soccer again. Bonheur Relié, manager for the équipe nationale, launched a highly successful branding campaign during qualifying for World Cup 95: "The Spirit of 83". The slogan was a call back to World Cup 83 when Reçueçn qualified despite being unranked. A dozen cycles later, they weren't quite able to recapture that magic, but they finished their qualifying attempt only one game back from a playoff spot, so the fans, although disappointed, were content. Unfortunately, in the subsequent Cup of Harmony, Reçueçn was promptly eliminated without earning even a single point in the group stage. Now they're hoping the IAC will be better.

~

Laws in Reçueçn prohibit clubs in the Ligue Nationale de Reçueçn de Football (LNRF) from hiring foreign players. Combined with Reçueçn's tendency to slip into time-dilation and disappear from multiverse soccer every few cycles it also holds true that few Reçuecians play in foreign countries either. The result is that Les Licornes, Reçueçn's national team, are essentially the LNRF's all-stars. There is total overlap between the national team and the league.

That's why looking at the LNRF can tell you so much about Les Licornes. For example, Reçueçn's domestic league is highly defensive. Reçueçn FC, the wealthiest and historically most successful team, plays about as defensively as you can imagine, and they have a large influence on the national team. Other clubs across the country add to the mix with their different styles, balancing things out to some extent, but as a whole, both the league and the national squad tend toward defense. Les Licornes' best player, Gerauld Firaut, is their goalie, and without a doubt, he is Reçueçn's first world-class player. He and his defense form the foundation for the team as a whole.

Image
National Team Logo
The team plays in a 4-3-3 formation, but sometimes the wings drop back, almost making it a 4-5-1. In general, the team's strategy and tactics are solid. However, there is some tension between the current manager, Bonheur Relié, who would prefer a more attacking style, and the players, who in general are more comfortable on defense. Relié has never managed to make himself as popular with the team as his predecessor, Jacques Tremblay, who was the founding head coach of the team and is a footballing icon for Reçuecians. Relié's inability to build the same relationship is due only to his lack of charisma, not skill, but does make his job more difficult.

The Reçueçian National Team's mascot is the unicorn; thus another name for the team is "les licornes". The fantastical creature has been a symbol of Reçueçn for almost two millennia and is also the national animal, appearing as the supporters in the national coat of arms.

The team's kit represents the colors of the flag in a quite literal fashion. The jersey was redesigned a long time ago, replacing the first one les licornes ever wore, dating back to the 59th Baptism of Fire. Fans thought the old outfit was ugly, but the current one is now also becoming out of favor as the longer it sticks around the more tired people grow of it. It is much more professional than the original was, but still leaves something to be desired.

Coaching Staff
Bonheur Relié: Passionate and motivated, Relié had all the youthful energy you'd hope for in the assistant coach of a side whose manager was pushing three quarters of a century. Sometimes his energy was a bit much and he's had some friction with the players in the past. Now that he's head manager that will have to be resolved.

Ägidius Heissler: Used to play as a left wing for Itrino. After retiring as a player he signed for the National Team as Paraclete, taking a promotion to Assistant Manager in the wake of Tremblay's resignation. If Relié was the bad cop to Tremblay's good cop, with Tremblay gone, Heissler fills the good cop role.

All time record: 148-69-90

Starting XI
1 Gerauld Firaut goalkeeper age 31 self-controlled
The face of Reçuecian soccer. Team captain, and a pillar of support for his teammates.

2 Emanuele Cutrona sweeper age 27 Italian
Young and passionate. Cutrona's friendship with Adams often gets them in trouble.

3 Paulin Bourguignon left back age 28 counter-attacking
Pacy and forward-thinking. Loves to make big clears rather than defend more precisely.

4 Lukas Kayserling center back age 27 tall
Calm and controlled. German-speaking and has difficulty communicating with the team.

5 Oliver Spencer right back age 31 tenacious
Experienced and strategic. Resents being outshone by Reçueçn's star defense.

6 Robert Chéreau left midfielder age 27 visionary
Knows how to use the space in the midfield. Still somehow tends to drift toward the center.

7 Laurent Lapix defensive midfielder age 22 brilliant
Brings spice and life to the midfield. A playmaker who, being new to the team, is shaking things up.

8 Maynard Hebron right midfielder age 32 ideological
A big fish from a small pond. A star who has stayed with a second tier side for the sake of the sport.

9 Per Tegeler left wing age 30 sharpshooter
Good at receiving the ball and trying for goal. Not good at passing.

10 Franky Adams center forward age 26 flamboyant
Reçueçn's most famous player other than Firaut. Good enough to be the center of attention (which he loves).

11 Helibert Wolf right wing age 27 level-headed
Quick-thinking and decisive. His ability to make crucial split-second decisions has earned him many assists.

Reserves
12 Estienne de Chefderue goalkeeper age 27 patient
Being second-string goalie for a nation whose best player is their first-string goalie is not easy.

13 Hagen Groos sweeper age 30 disciplined
Many of the defensive players are called up from Reçueçn FC's back line. Groos is the only one who doesn't start.

14 Jayson Compton left back age 28 mysterious
Not a ton to say about Compton. We don't really know what he's up to ourselves.

15 Quirino Lucian center back age 28 intimidating
Large and physical. Lucian's looming presence isn't an empty threat, he'll mess you up given the chance.

16 Barnabus Mercer right back age 32 solid
Older but steady. He's seen it all and is ready for the toughest opponents.

17 Félicien Brodeur left midfielder age 29 stopper
A defensive force. Lethal against attacks down the wings, and strong on the counter-attack in his own right.

18 Ansquetil de Bethencourt defensive midfielder age 27 cautious
A real thinker. A new call-up, he caught the scout's eye with his meticulously-planned passes.

19 Quentin Gouin right midfielder age 25 evanescent
Young and agile. Without the stamina to support his talent, his plays are flashy but brief.

20 Marc Schöner left wing age 29 proud
Self-assured and confident. Sometimes he bites off more than he can chew.

21 Ly Nasser center forward age 29 aggressive
Trigger-happy and risk-taking. Takes every chance he can to shoot.

22 André Courtial right wing age 29 fast
Fleet-footed and energetic. His sheer speed is a threat, even if off the pitch he likes a nap.

23 Calanico Di Martino goalkeeper age 30 redundant
Rocket-powered goal kicks. Will never see time on the pitch as long as he's Firaut's team-mate.

Reçuecian History and Culture

The nation of Reçueçn was created in the first half of the XIVth century, when Carl Blancpic, Duke of the Duchy of Reçueçn, launched a breakneck military campaign invading and annexing many of his neighbors to the east. Before this time, Reçueçn had been only a city, built on the heights overlooking the junction of the Rhône and Saône rivers. These heights had been settled by Carl Blancpic's distant ancestor, Ifheda Rcuecn, near the end of the IInd century a.d., and had born his name ever since. The area at that time belonged to the Roman Empire, who had established their regional administrative center, Lugdunum, on the other side of the river.

In 197 a.d., a decisive battle was fought near Lugdunum in one of the civil wars for the throne of the empire. The victor, Septimius Severus, razed the city of Lugdunum and destroyed it, stripping from it all imperial privileges in punishment for supporting his rival. This was the end for Lugdunum, but it was the beginning for Reçueçn. Refugees flocked across the river to join the settlement, and the city of Reçueçn grew to become a smallish regional center. Rcuecn's descendants (who changed the spelling to Reçueçn) maintained control over what became the Duchy of Reçueçn for 700 years, until it was inherited by their cousins the Blancpics who reigned for another 300 years.

At the beginning of the XIVth century, power passed into the hands of Carl Blancpic, who was a megalomaniac and partially insane . Thus he declared his duchy to be a kingdom and singled out weak neighbors who he invaded with audacity. Over an incredibly short period of time beginning in the spring of 1337, he had carved out for himself a sizable dominion.

Carl, who styled himself "Carl III of Reçueçn", was violent, unstable, and petty. He was also wildly unpopular with the populations of the various states he had conquered. Although the central power structure helped the economy of the new Kingdom of Reçueçn to some extent, it did not bring with it all the stability that might have been expected. This was mostly due to the decrees of Carl III, who, among other things, began a campaign to persecute and kill all "heretics" within his new realm. Most historians agree that this was in fact a thinly veiled purge of his political rivals. This and other policies he enacted on his whims finally drove the people into open revolt sometime around 1352.

Carl managed to hold on to power for a couple years by hiring mercenaries, but in 1254 lost two key battles and was captured by the rebels. By this time, the rebellion was led by feudal lords throughout the country who had sided with the people against their tyrant king. Carl III was executed, and the kingdom dissolved into a mess of tiny, independent feudal holdings.

No sooner had the various states that had been in the Kingdom of Reçueçn won their independence, than infighting broke out among them. The feudal lords squabbled over power and influence, trying vainly to imitate Carl's meteoric rise to power. This new violence, combined with the economic downturn associated with the rebellion and the breakup of the nation, clearly displayed how poorly things were turning out. More sensible minds came to the decision that the solution was to once more unify Reçueçn.

On November 19, 1256, therefore, The Allied States of Reçueçn came into being. The leaders of all the petty states, duchies, bishoprics, free cities, etc., came together and signed what are known as "The Treaties of the Alliance," a document just powerful enough to classify Reçueçn as a single nation by most people's definition, rather than a group of independent entities. The treaties also established a rough form of democracy, with each state represented (although typically by its aristocracy). Thus Reçueçn lays claim to being one of the oldest democracies in the world.

The treaties defined much of Reçuecian history to come. Provisions were made to establish freedom of religion, in order to avoid another scenario similar to Carl III's persecution of his opponents. The treaties also gave Reçueçn an isolationist bent. The nation had been burned before, and wouldn't soon try to meddle in external affairs, especially when its composite nature made creating a foreign policy so difficult.

Reçueçn, then, has managed to avoid many of the crises of European history. It's darkest moment came when Napoleon invaded, proclaiming himself emperor (although he allowed Reçueçn's government to continue to function under his reign). The allied states have drawn closer together over time, although cultural differences among them remain: they don't even all speak the same language.

Reçueçian culture has also been shaped by its location, nestled in the center of the Alps. The difficulty of travel among mountain valleys ensured the cultural diversity of the nation and preserved local customs. Although rural communities did center around agriculture—especially dairy production—many Reçuecian were forced by the lack of arable land to find other work. This led to a culture of innovation that continues today: Reçueçn is now known for its luxury products and technological exports. This has additionally led to a focus on science and education. The relatively diverse nature of Reçueçn's culture means that some areas are culturally more time-oriented while others are more task-oriented, but this fusion has given the country a uniqueness, especially in art. Reçueçn, perhaps thanks to its inland, mountainous location, or the fact that it was never a colonial power, has seen little immigration or emigration. Recently, however, the diversity of language spoken in the country has made it attractive to refugees from other areas where those languages are spoken.

DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF ABANHFLEFT
NATIONAL ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL TEAM - MEN'S

Something strange has happened in Abanhfleft, at least as far as its football-playing population was concerned. One day they woke up and realized that time had gone back for them by three years. Only people who had been playing football were affected by this, however; as far as they could tell, everyone else who isn't a football player in Abanhfleft was not affected by this time "reversal," or whatever it actually is supposed to be. Everyone in the national team is younger by three years but they all have memories of what happened in those three years that they have now "lost." They all remember the pain and heartbreak of numerous failures that now, apparently, never happened at all. Will the team use that experience to make sure that things turn out differently this time or are they about to find out that they've been hit by a "groundhog day loop" curse?

BASIC INFORMATION
Name of nation: Democratic Republic of Abanhfleft
Demonym: Fleftic
Team colors: Blue, orange, and green
Style modifier: +3
Formation: 4-2-3-1
Head coach: Levi Baak (64 y/o, Abanhfleft)

STARTERS
GK: Guildenstern CARDEW 32 y/o, Sporting Ceneisis Image, captain
Under Vaughn Palladino, Guildenstern Cardew has turned into the clear number one choice between the sticks for Sporting Ceneisis. He may not be the player who shipped the least goals in the Premier League this season but he stopped enough shots to help the Blues to their fourth FPL title. Now it's time for Guildy to do the same for the national team.

RB: Masakazu CHIBA 29 y/o, Riuwiee United Image
Masakazu Chiba is one of an ever-growing number of football players in the Democratic Republic who trace their lineage back to the Japanese nations such as Flardania and, in Masakazu's case, Aji No Moto. Although he was never capped for any of Abanhfleft's youth teams, Ranulph Bustamante is apparently convinced that Masakazu will be able to handle being a bench option for the senior national team for the current World Cup qualifiers. Chiba-san will now get the chance to show his stuff under Levi Baak.

RCB: Elias THONET 23 y/o, Wanda Island Wanderers Image
People might say that he's a bit short for a central defender (even if he is 5 feet 10 inches), but that isn't really what Elias has been doing there ever since he first grabbed the attention of Fleftic fans while playing for Garufaloe F.C. He's already a good defender right off the bat, but his real strengths lie in his passing and technique. Wanda Island signed him to be a ball-playing center back, and Levi Baak expects him to do the same for the Democratic Republic.

LCB: Chris BELLINGHAM 22 y/o, Arsenal de Releinthi Image
That old joke of one inch of height making all of the difference between one's perception of how tall another person is compared to another is making rounds all over the Fleftic football fandom once again thanks to the new partnership of Elias Thonet and Chris Bellingham in the Fleftic backline. Bellingham really does look like a mountain next to Thonet, but in all seriousness, his height is only secondary to what he actually does on the pitch. His main job is to defend, defend, defend, and thanks to his height and incredible jumping ability, Bellingham is also a threat on the set piece.

LB: Gary SAGUN 27 y/o, General Santos FC Image (Sultanate of Oontaz)
Even Gary Sagun himself thought that he was very far away from getting a call up for the Revolutionaries, but here he was now. It would seem like he's a strange choice for the left back position, but Levi Baak himself has said that he fits exactly the profile that he's looking for in his current Abanhfleft setup for the Independents Cup. Sagun is a veteran no-nonsense left back who is a solid defender on his side of the pitch, and while his pace is perhaps average at best, if Baak is to be believed then that is good enough for the Abanhfleft team.

RM: Şəmistan BABUROV 25 y/o, CSKA Tiraspol Image (Pridnestrovia), vice-captain
The fact that he's only getting a call-up to the senior team now is criminal, to say the least. Some would even hazard to say that four years of his career was wasted while the Revolutionaries struggled to remain competitive in the World Cup qualifiers with a bunch of older players, but at least he's in the team now, and he's just hitting his prime as well. Baburov, also known as Sam to make it easy for everyone else, is pretty much this new-look team's midfield engine, distributing the ball when he is on it and going box-to-off while off the ball. He's also good at set pieces, but he's better off finding a target instead of actually going for goal himself.

LM: James CARMICHAEL 32 y/o, Xemlice Rovers Image
Carmichael does a little bit of everything here and there such as breaking up attacks in the middle of the pitch and pinging in those diagonal passes. He's usually well disciplined, but when he goes in for a tackle, boy does he go in for a tackle. Now that he's getting a little bit long in the tooth, he's leaving most of the midfield orchestration stuff to the young'uns and take on the role of enforcer.

RW: Roberto CARLOS LADO 22 y/o, Athletic Wa Deg Image (Copper Cuprum)
Carlos Lado doesn't really look like he fits the mold of a winger: he's big, he's tall, and he's not really that fast. Well, he could definitely beat the average football fan in a foot race, but there are definitely other wingers and even fullbacks who will leave him in the dust in the blink of an eye. In fact, Lado is probably more suited to being a support striker, and Levi Baak's tactics might actually allow him to do that. But as far as being a winger goes, he does have the technique to whip in an inviting cross, and he can and does score the occasional free kick.

CAM: Sven FAHRNI 21 y/o, Ludogorets Markovsky Image
Fahrni has that no-nonsense attitude wherein he only needs to be told what to do once, and then he will do exactly that until someone tells him to stop. This attitude however has also given him a blunt personality wherein he says exactly what he thinks, and if he thinks that someone else is preventing him from doing his job quickly and effectively then he will tell that person to get out of his way, usually in less polite terms. That hasn't earned him a lot of friends, but because he's good at what he does, everyone else tolerates his presence on the pitch and off it. And Sven Fahrni wouldn't have it any other way.

LW: Sacit KÖZALMAZ 22 y/o, Sarvusdalamoive Image
Közalmaz isn't really the mirror opposite of Carlos Lado, but he does have qualities that Lado lacks. Those qualities include a better defensive mentality and the ability to dance and dribble his way out of trouble should the need arise. Pace, however, is one of Közalmaz's weaknesses, and he can't pass or cross the ball to save his life, but he does make up for it somewhat by being an actual threat in front of goal even if it isn't necessarily his job to take pot shots.

ST: Mustafa BENSOUSSAN 30 y/o, Bananas FC Image
Bananas may have been relegated from the Premier League, but if that's not making Mustafa turn his head then nothing probably will. The young man is dedicated to the cause of bringing Bananas right back up, but unlike some of the other sides to have been relegated from the league in previous seasons, Bananas don't look like they would be able to do it as quickly. Nevertheless, Mustafa is still scoring goals for fun, and will now fill in for the aging Kareem Dagen for the men's national team starting from this Independent Associations Championship.

RESERVES
GK: Howard ABAYAN 22 y/o, Niraza Rovers Image on loan from Riuwiee United Image

GK: Shaun SACE 21 y/o, Kimmirut Panhandle Image on loan from Ludogorets Markovsky Image

RB: Antonio GALINDEZ 22 y/o, All-Inclusive Haranguer Image on loan from Sporting Ceneisis Image
Remember the time when Abanhfleft's fullbacks played more like wingbacks and were constantly bombing up and down the flanks of the pitch even when the formation had actual wingers in it? It would seem like Galindez's fullback training was in direct response to that, since while he definitely has the pace to become a wingback, the art of defending had been drilled so deeply into him that it really looks like it hurts him when he crosses the halfway line. It's strange, but apparently it works for him.

RCB: APOLLOSCLEIYALI 35 y/o, Rosenpfelblatz City Image
Though he was brought into the Rosenpfelblatz City setup at the relatively young age of 16, Apolloscleiyali Rarlingson Crausileine still plays with that curious mix of Daineri and Sunrisian street football. The Citizens may not have been consistent challengers for the title ever since Abanhfleft integrated into UICA and now IFCF, Apolloscleiyali remains one of the constants of this team, almost never putting a foot wrong. Because of this he was given Fleftic citizenship via the Alternative Football Program as a candidate for the Fleftic national team, but this is only the first time Apollo will actually represent the Revolutionaries, strangely enough.

LCB: Paco MATUNDAN 32 y/o, Xemlice Rovers Image
Paco Matundan must have thought his footballing career was over when he was released by Malabon SC following the Ravens' shock relegation from the FPL at the end of the 2025-26 season. Luckily a club from Greythrone called Air Force Superstar decided to take a chance on him, but sadly the club did little of note other than gaining promotion once before Greythrone itself collapsed into anarchy. Paco was only saved from falling into obscurity by a timely move to Xemlice Rovers where he has now settled down and made a name for himself, even if it is choking on title races.

LB: Rick MANICAD 18 y/o, Porcusces Tsunamis Image on loan from Admiral Porcusces Image
It isn't always that a young player gets called up to the senior team before even taking part in their country's youth team, but apparently Rick Manicad is one of those players. At the moment, all that Manicad knows to do on the pitch is to defend, with all of the associated skills expected to be trained and drilled into him further down the line. He's never going to be the fastest kid on the block, but it is Levi Baak's belief that there is a technically gifted star in young Rick.

RM: Iraklis BABALIOUTAS 21 y/o, Marinos Thimpodopoulos Image
He is the beating heart of this young team in more ways than one. On the pitch, Babalioutas may only be an average midfielder at the moment but he's already got solid technique A few more refinements to his game and maybe putting on some more muscle and he'll be pretty much ready for the Fleftic Premier League and maybe even international football. Off the pitch, Babalioutas is a lad who wears his heart on his sleeve, and he's not afraid to be seen crying, whether it's tears of sadness or tears of joy. It's just so easy to gravitate to this young man and become fond of him.

LM: Audric DUBREUCQ 22 y/o, Malabon SC Image
Dubreucq is not the best young midfielder in Abanhfleft, not even by a country mile. But he pretty much makes up for his shortcomings by being the kind of guy who gives his all when it comes to either defending or attacking. That being said, he's best utilized as a counterattacking player. He's speedy and he's got a wicked left foot on him. That left peg of his is strong enough to turn a football into a cannonball, and if he existed in a cartoon world, Dubreucq would be putting holes into goalkeepers' chests every single game.

RW: Palmer HICKS 27 y/o, Locomotive Imgortur Image
In a team where the system doesn't have much use for a winger, how is one such right winger in one such team supposed to get game time? On loan to another club, of course! Palmer is entering the second year of a two-year loan deal to newly promoted Electric Yugal with an option to buy for the Bolts. He did well for Electric during their promotion campaign in Unang Liga, but can he do the same in the Premier League? Ranulph Bustamante believes Palmer can do it with the national team, so there's that.

CAM: Jayden SCHOLES 28 y/o, CSKA Tiraspol Image (Pridnestrovia)
Scholes is kind of a weird player: it looks like he has everything he could possibly want and need to succeed in playing football, but then and again there's an issue that pops up that seemingly puts a halt to all of that interesting potential. He could get injured one season and then go through disciplinary issues the next. Perhaps that's the reason why he's still kicking around in the Pridnestrovian Super League when almost any other player with the skillset that he has will have been sold to the FPL. Nevertheless, Levi Baak clearly sees something in him that the manager believes will be very helpful for the Revolutionaries in the long run. Hopefully it doesn't come at the cost of a more deserving player, but then that brings up an entirely different conundrum of who counts as a more deserving player. Sometimes, it really is hard being the manager of a national team.

LW: Drew ALONTO 25 y/o, South Ons Deg Rabbitohs A.F.C. Image (Copper Cuprum)
Levi Baak clearly has a type of winger that he favors above all else, and that is a winger who isn't always the quickest player on the pitch but does have enough technical ability to wriggle his way out of trouble if need be and also knows how and when to cross the ball. Alonto's problem is that while he does know when to cross the ball, he doesn't know how to cross it. At least he doesn't know how to cross the ball without hitting the first opposition player. But he does try to help out in the defensive side of things even if sometimes that creates problems of its own.

ST: Bradley AQUINO 23 y/o, Kimmirut Panhandle Image
People have always rated Bradley's older brother Braydon Aquino as being the future national team player, at least the one assured of getting consistent call-ups and starts. But once again, those people were wrong, and it is now Bradley who has seemingly nailed down a place in the starting eleven while Braydon is nowhere near the senior Revolutionaries team. It's almost carbon copy of the story of the Williamson siblings, Charlene and Gareth. Everyone also thought that Gareth would go on to do great things with the Revolutionaries while Charlene would fade into obscurity. Instead, the exact opposite happened. What a freaky coincidence, right?
