There were eight votes (none to abstain or re-open bids), which were as follows.

Therefore Queer Poco el Mono Ara and Nethertopia will host the 41st Baptism of Fire.

2. World Cup 54 Hosts
24 Votes were received for this, which were as follows:

  • TBI/Cassadaigua - 12 Votes
  • Re-open bids - 2 Votes
Therefore The Babbage Islands and Cassadaigua will host World Cup 54

3. Starblaydia's WCC Constitution Amendment

Therefore Starblaydia's amendment will be added to the WCC Constitution.

4. Daehanjeiguk's WCC Constitution Amendment

Therefore Daehanjeiguk's amendment will not be added to the WCC Constitution (with 29 voters, 19 were required).

Voting:

World Cup Committee Presidential Election

Any nation on the World Cup Committee (detailed here) may vote for one of the candidates for the Presidency of the World Cup Committee during World Cups 55-57.

Candidates may not vote.

The candidate with the most votes becomes President, the candidate in second place becomes Vice-President. In the case of a two-way tie, a second vote will be held. In case of a three-way tie, some other process will be decided upon after suitable consultation.

The candidates are:

The four candidates in the runoff vote may not vote, but the candidates eliminated in the first round may now vote.

The first act of The Scout as WCC President, even though he will only receive the title officially after the current WC cycle, is an urgent voting involving WCC competitions:

2. Amendment to guarantee right to invite nations by CoH hosts
The Babbage Islands wrote:If adopted, section 2.4.1 would read:

2.4.1 Entry
The conditions for entry into the Cup of Harmony are:
i) A nation must have signed up for the corresponding World Cup in the appropriate Signup Thread
ii) That nation must have failed to qualify for that World Cup, given the conditions set by the hosts.
iii) That nation must have posted at least one roleplay in the appropriate RP thread during the corresponding World Cup
iv) That nation must have indicated a desire to play in the Cup of Harmony in response to a host invitation.


The World Cup Committee (detailed here) may vote for this amendment proposal. They may vote:
  1. Yes
  2. No
  3. Officially Abstain
Two-Thirds of the WCC must vote 'Yes' for the Amendment to take effect.



3. Modification of KPB formula multipliers for Cup of Harmony
The Babbage Islands wrote:(Submitted to the WCC in accordance with section 3.1(iv).)

The current multiplier for the Cup of Harmony is 1.5x for the most recent, 0.75x for the next most recent, and 0.375x for the third most recent.

It is proposed that these multipliers be increased to 2.5x, 1.25x, and 0.625x respectively.[/box]

Any user/nation with two or more nominations will be put forward to an election stage.


Presidential nominations should be sent to Cafundeu by TG. For those uncomfortable for some reason with sending them to the sitting WCC President, send your Presidential nominations to the WCC Vice-President via the puppet Cheergirls, by TG only. Nominations will be accepted until the 2nd of October, 23:59 UTC time.

It is my pleasure to announce the results of the World Cup 57 Host Vote.

We had one bid, and it was from Cafundéu & Sarzonia. The results were as follows:

Accept the Bid: 13 votes
Re-open Bids: 3 votes
Officially Abstain: 2 votes

Therefore, Cafundéu and Sarzonia will be hosting World Cup 57. Good luck guys!
