Once I finish my college applications and get back to Bacolod for one last stay before I go to NCR for good (because college), I'll start devoting time for the map (major settlements and geopolitical administrative divisions, climate, and elevation) and the IC thread.Eclius wrote:When is the IC coming?

I'm thinking that the loyalist militias are going to be NPCs (because there is a fuck tonne of them, with approx. 1 militia per metropolitan zone in northern Palmyrion, and there are lots of metropolitan zones in the region). Lardite rebel militias are going to arrive much sooner.Once I finish my college applications and get back to Bacolod for one last stay before I go to NCR for good (because college), I'll start devoting time for the map (major settlements and geopolitical administrative divisions, climate, and elevation) and the IC thread.Eclius wrote:When is the IC coming?

The thing with ICA is, it's a shadowy organization and is not considered a legal company/group in Eclius, nor is it a mercenary company (since mercenaries are not legal in Eclius). Most of its assassins for hire have a disguised career. Do expect LamBDA's operatives in civilian disguise. While others may be powerless in a certain situations, ICA, especially initiative 722 (code named LamBDA) is anything but.

I have to ask, what exactly does LamBDA stand for? And I think civilian disguise is pretty standard, aside from Enforcers most of the Pink River will be civilians in the form of dealers, managers, traffickers, etc.

I assume that we will be able to have property within reason as well, yes? Perfectly legitimate businesses and the like?

Brief biography:Communist revolutionaries originally funded and supplied by the Soviet Union but collapsed when the Soviets realized they were ineffectual at best and a liability at worst. They were originally very incompetent and idiotic college students. It was eventually disbanded. However, recently it has been reformed by former agents of various communist dictatorships seeking refuge.
Description of involvement: Mostly keeping to themselves and staying as low-profile as possible, they recently have started to take territory.
Order of battle (where possible):They stay on the defensive and try to secure captured territory before advancing.

Brief overview of ideology: (State-Ideology can be found here. It's complicated.) The Ministry of State Security (MSS) is the intelligence and security agency of the Pan-Asiatic States (non-military area of interests), responsible for counter-intelligence, foreign intelligence and political security. It is headquartered in Shanghai. The Ministry's involvement is separated from that of the People's Cadre of Party Security (PCPS), which handles detail for key officials, and the Ministry of Public Security (MPS), which handles domestic affairs; in the sense that their covert operations are scarce released to the public. Its vast arsenal of spies control the various spheres of Pan-Asiatic influence, and even rig international-political affairs when beneficial and necessary.

[ X ]Organized crime syndicates
[]Loyalist militias
[]Other (please briefly elaborate)
Brief biography: The Ministry of Public Security was among the very first government organs of the People's Republic of China, and eventually became one of the largest amongst the vast array of nations which once comprised the States. It superseded the Ministry of Public Security of the Chinese Communist Party's Central Military Commission, a transitional body created in July 1949 by removing the security service remit from the CCP Central Department of Social Affairs (CDSA). The ministry began operations on 1 November 1949, at the end of a two-week-long National Conference of Senior Public Security Cadres. Most of its initial staff of less than 500 cadres came from the (former) regional CCP North China Department of Social Affairs. At the national level, its creation signaled the formal abolition of the CDSA. The ministry moved to its present location, in the heart of the one-time foreign legation quarters in Shanghai, in the spring of 1950.
Description of involvement: The involvement of the MSS will be strictly covert, and can be alluded to that of the CIA through Blackwater. The Yakuza Gang, and several other crime syndicates from the Pan-Asiatic States, intend to provide aid for the Communist Syndicate and their bilateral partners in revolution.
Order of battle (where possible):
- 5 companies worth of specialized agents (~200)
- 10 companies worth of veteran Commissariat "Mercenaries" (~965)
- Logistical employees, "Hitches", and Civilian Saboteurs (~85)

The Vile Lard, a militant apocalyptic cult, is involved, so yes it might even lead to the revival of the Lardite cult in Holy Marsh.
Also, to quote my factbook so as you can have a semblance of what Palmyrion's topography is like:"Its topography can be generally described as vast shorelines and lowland plains overlooked by expansive highlands and mountain ranges interspersed with dissected intermontane plateaus; these expansive highlands and mountain ranges, whose tallest peaks mark a natural border between Romandeos and Palmyrion, are essentially an extension of the Marshite Hitlion Mountain Range, with the Palmyrian section of this expansive mountain range being given the name the Palmyrian Cordilleras. The three major islands - Templonuevo, Sultan Osmalik, and Guimaras, follow a similar topographical pattern to continental Palmyrion, though the transition from lowland to highland is much more pronounced with more sudden increases in altitude over small stretches of land."

As an FYI, I am staying out of this due to concerns over numbers but if the Lardite Cult were to make serious inroads into Palmyrion, we would be forced to respond, same in the case of it overflowing into the Theocracy or even Romandeos.
